Sarah watches as Hugh trails behind (likely to look for that hawlucha- where did they go?) and then eagerly forward as Matcha tugs on her jacket.

Hey, little guys! You want a ride? She props them up on her shoulders, making sure they don’t fall. When Joëlle approaches from behind her, she glances up slightly, but quickly back down to them.

Poseidon steps to her side, making a few hand gestures (and likely facial ones too, but it’s a bit hard for you to tell). She eagerly nods, and smiles with recognition.

Oh, shiny pokemon? No, they’re not that rare. Everyone I know has at least… one…

She pauses, and you can visibly see the cogs turning in her mind. There’s Ash’s noctowl, Goh’s voltorb, Gladion’s Silvally, Silver’s magnezone, and the gyarados Lance gave him…

Huh. Y’know, I never even realized! But ah, I don’t really know why. I’m not hunting them or anything. They really kinda just show up… they probably just like me, haha!

[It seems Sarah doesn’t know why she draws in shiny pokemon. Someone else has to know, right…?]

Matcha and Lynx for the crackship meme?

Funnily enough, I rolled a 2, and. Well, Tandemaus is two! XD So enjoy this inseparable pair of babies!

Ubi got the unfortunate short tail gene from Lynx, though the Eevee in her genes poked out more by giving her a nice fluffy mane around her neck! Her eyes aren't actually pitch black, they're actually a VERY deep purple color! She tends to fall a lot due to not being able to balance with a proper long tail, so she relies a lot on Ube.

Ube got a much longer tail, thank goodness for him. He helps Ubi a lot and makes sure she doesn't fall over too hard, and helps teach her how to float. He doesn't mind helping her all the time!

They both collectively go by 'Taro', though it's clearly obvious who's who. Can't easily swap places thanks to those tails and the fluff!

You're free to take these two adorable beans! No separating them!

Acacia pouts a little. "Aw. I wanted to see it. I was excited..."

"You shouldn't mess up your pictures, sweetie." Says the Smeargle, frowning as well. "It will make you sad later if you don't keep them."

Sunset gruffs, laying down on the wet paint. "Well it makes me not sad right now." She grumbles.

Despite the display, Acacia manages a tiny laugh.

Matcha immediately brightened, scurrying over to help with the puzzle.

“Matcha never done a one this big!” they said excitedly. “There one missing here, here! Matcha find it!

Matcha: Can Matcha help with puzzle? Matcha very good at puzzle phone game!

"But, If you'd like, you may help me with the Puzzle." Valiant pushed some of the puzzle pieces to Matcha. However, the pile seemed to be made up of mostly corner pieces, for some reason Valiant was building the puzzle without the edge pieces already set in place. Maybe he didn't know that would help? Or possibly he was trying to make the puzzle more difficult. It was a bit unclear. Either way, he just continued to smile.

"I believe they find the task pointless... however, building a puzzle with someone else has been something I've always wanted to try." "I think mortals would call it a 'bonding' activity, correct?" He asked, there was a hint of an attempt at confusion in his voice. "I wish to know what that is like, familial affection seems very appealing. Even if I likely cannot feel it."

Matcha was found as an egg by a sylveon, who came to care for it. When it hatched, the sylveon noticed it also had the characteristics of an eevee too. The sylveon decided to raise the tandemaus and call them Matcha. Matcha goes to one of the local play groups whilst their Meema works. Matcha has been developing their speech well and one of the play group's workers, a chansey called Claire, has commented on the incredible progress they have made. They love their Meema a lot and love hearing the stories their Meema has told them about legendary Pokémon. The one tale they've enjoyed the most is the story of the Ancestral Guardian, a goddess who helped create all Pokémon and freed the False Guardian from the bad Pokémon. They've heard their Meema mentioning they would like to meet this Ancestral Guardian one day.

(Another case where I couldn't pick the main Pokémon as they're a legend. Inaris would probably be a sylveon in this world. Matcha is a toddler so would have to go to a play group. Inaris also joins in with the play group fun too, helping their little one encounter all of the fun things there. Sensory group fun.)

“Kitkat,” Inari addressed the phone, “Volume down a little. And please put the call through.”

The Rotom chirped an affirmative and floated over to Inari, a video chat appearing on the screen.

Inari’s face lit up in a grin. “Mochi! Ume! It’s so good to hear from you, dears! How are you?”

“We’re great!” Mochi replied, grinning just as wide. “Thought we might stop by for a visit, maybe pick up Pocky along the way and have a nice little reunion. You still living in the Tangle?”

Inari nodded. “I am, yes. Oh, I have so much to tell you! But I’ll wait until you get here so I don’t chatter for hours on the phone.”

Mochi gave a thumbs up. “Sounds good! I’ll see if I can’t call Uncle and have him meet up with us.”

“Please be careful on your trip, okay?” Inari’s paw hovered over the ‘end call’ button. “I’ll see you soon.”

“Bye, Ma!” Mochi

“See you soon, Inari!” Ume chirped.

The call ended before Inari could press the button.
