Italian literature tournament - new future challenges

The first edition of the Italian Literature Challenge is finished with a podium of Giovanni Boccaccio in third place with the 14% of votes, Giacomo Leopardi second with 24,1% and Dante Alighieri first with the massive victory of 61.8%, with 288 votes in total. I do not know how thank you for all of your attention for this challenge and the satisfaction for what at first was simply a funny idea that came to my mind in March 2024.

Before a second edition of ITT there will be some months of hiatus, but that's not meant that this account - with all the followers (226 now!) gathered - will remain idle: in the past weeks I planned some minor challenges that will take place next months, similar to the just finished tournament but with specified topics and eras. Some of the next that will come are:

Carnival (mid february to march) - Commedia dell'Arte masks tournament - pretty self explanatory: a short racket with the principal masks from the italian popular theatre form of the Commedia dell'Arte.

March - Italian literature tournament - Famous beefs (between authors) edition - fights and bad blood between people in the past is what make history interesting to read - that's the same for literature. A list of famous beefs in italian literature, you have simply to chose what is the one that claimed more victims most iconic.

In parallel with the challenges, during january I started to think about a pseudo reading challenge/[insert X novel] daily. The aim of this tournament all along was to make better known/more popular certain italian authors that maybe outside literature major/Italy aren't famous, and this can happen also with a sort of DraculaDaily but with other italian novels that are out author's right. I already started it two years ago with Pinocchio Weekly, but I had to interrupt it because I was finishing university at the time and simultaneously started a new job. Now I'm thinking to restart it and maybe try with other novels, as long as are all public domain - that's why I have still to decide to do in italian or english (with translation not only disponible but also public domain) - it depends from what novel will be chosen. When this project will start I'll list some novels that I thought about + I will open a google form for more ideas, and at the end with a poll y'all can chose which novel using for the daily/weekly reading marathon.
