How to replace Skyrim NPCs with faces made in RaceMenu
(aka the method I used to make all my NPC overhauls)
This is an updated version of the tutorial from this post. I forgot a step originally.
Why use this method?
RaceMenu (RM) gives you a lot more creative freedom than simply editing NPC faces in the Creation Kit (CK).
Just installing RM gives you access to new sliders not found in unmodded Skyrim and you can install further slider mods (such as Expressive FaceGen Morphs, or Khajiit Character Creation Extended, etc.)
It also allows you to use Overlay mods (like DomainWolf's mod series or Freckle Mania 2) which give you many more options to layer warpaints or skin features and create a more detailed face.
Links are to the SE version of the mods, as that's what I'm most familiar with. They likely have LE counterparts.
Things you will need:
RaceMenu (and SKSE; be sure to get the correct versions of both for your game)
NifSkope - you will use this to open and edit the mesh. Here's GamerPoet's setup video
More Informative Console (especially if you're editing mod-added NPCs)
BSA Extractor (or similar mod that lets you open and extract BSAs)
Things I highly recommend:
Creation Kit Platform Extended for Skyrim - makes using the Creation Kit way less like pulling teeth
Unofficial Creation Kit Patch - if you're using AE
An alternate start mod - I like Dimes Quickstart for its simplicity, but any would work
Another Race Menu Rotation Mod - handy for seeing how the back of hairs look
Stand still in RaceMenu (OAR) - stops the character from wiggling out of frame
If you're looking to edit an NPC from an unplayable race (Elder, Child, etc.) you will likely need a mod that makes that race playable
Fun Stuff for diverse options:
Extra slider mods (I like Expressive FaceGen Morphs)
Skin Overlay Mods (for extra detailed faces)
If you want to get REAL funky with it, you can also use OutfitStudio to have a lot better time sculpting/getting super wild with assets, but that's too advanced for this tutorial (and my method is very 'goof around until it just works.'
I don't really want to cover using mod-added headparts (like eyes, hairs, etc.) There are basically two options there: add them as new headparts for your mod or make your mod dependent on the mod the headparts are from. The second way is probably simpler for beginners, but I definitely suggest installing Creation Kit Platform Extended, as it will allow you to load the other mods as masters without the Suffering™.
The Workflow
1. Design your character like you would a player character. For this example, I am redesigning Arcadia.
Tumblr media
A recommendation: unless you really feel like you need to change it, it is typically better to make the Weight slider match the NPC's actual weight. You can see this value using either SSE Edit or the Creation Kit.
It is no big deal if you don't, but if you change the weight and load the mod into an already existing save you will get a gap between the NPC's neck and body (unless you use Save Unbaker.)
Be careful, though, there is a RaceMenu bug where if you load up RM again after exiting, it changes the weight by .01. So annoying.
For Skin Tone choice, if you do a custom skin tone (by pressing 'E' while hovering over the slider) I would recommend leaving the transparency slider (the 'A' value) at 100% (though I usually make the exception for Khajiit and Argonians.) This info will go into the Interpolation Value box in the CK, and the RM values can't be directly input, so you have to calculate the value with a (RM Number/255 = X/100, solve for X which is your Interpolation Value)
1a. If you are planning on adding faceparts from mods to your own plugin, I recommend saving and doing that now. Then come back to your save and change your headparts to the versions from your plugin. If you want to just have the other mods as masters, you can skip this.
2. Once you're satisfied with your design, I recommend saving your game and saving your head as a preset (click to enlarge):
Tumblr media Tumblr media
3. Now, you will need to write down some stuff.
Skin Tone (RGB value):
Hover over Skin Tone slider. Press 'E'.
write down the R G B values (and A if you change it, see above note)
Even if you use a default skin tone, this is the best way to make sure you get the correct value for the CK.
Weight (number)
Scars (name) (if applicable)
Hair (name)
Facial Hair (name) (if applicable)
Eye Color (name)
Brow Type (name)
Writing down Hair Color is optional: with this method, the hair will inherit color from the head you export, not the CK value. Plus, RM's values are not really useful, because the default hair colors are named.
It's the same with the Face Complexion (wrinkles, etc), with this method it is exported with the head mesh.
4. Export the Sculpt:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It should end up in your SKSE folder (SKSE\Plugins\CharGen), wherever that is for you
5a. Method 1 (works for both Vanilla and Mod-added NPCs): get your NPC in front of you, either by console command (example with J'zargo):
~ help 'J'zargo'
then, using their RefID (the number that appears next to their name) type:
player.placeatme 0001C1A3
Or find them in-world.
With the mod More Informative Console installed, reopen the console (~) and click on them. Write down their BaseID.
5b. For Vanilla NPCs: close your game and search for your character's name on UESP and find their BaseID. Copy this number.
6. Open your BSA extractor of choice and Skyrim's data folder. Find the Skyrim - Textures0.bsa. Open with your BSA extractor, and paste the BaseID in the search box
Check the checkbox next to the main facegen file only and extract somewhere easy to find.
7. Repeat this process with the Skyrim - Meshes0 file.
8. Create a new mod folder. You can either make a mod directly in the mod organizer (MO2 lets you right click in the left pane -> All Mods -> Create Empty Mod Above) or on your desktop.
Cut and paste the 'textures' and 'meshes' files you just extracted into your mod folder. If you are installing it via archive, go ahead and zip and install the folder.
9. Now open the Creation Kit. Use the folder icon to load your masters.
Pick Skyrim, Update, DLC (if applicable), and any other mods you want to be masters for your mod (for eyes, hairs, etc.) If you've made your plugin already for headparts, just load it up.
10. In the Object Window, expand the Actors -> Actor -> Actor tabs and now you have a lot of tabs with Race names. Find the race your NPC belongs to then open the appropriate gender tab. Alternatively, you can just search the character's name in the searchbox.
11. Find your NPC's name and double click. This opens their Actor window, which is where you will use all the data you wrote down.
If you want a preview of their face, tick the box at the bottom of the window.
Tumblr media
For weight adjustments: go to the Traits Tab. For all other values you need to worry about for this tutorial, go to the Character Gen Parts.
So, to parse this: you can ignore the Face Tint Layers box and pretty much everything on the left side of the screen.
Face Tinting Color
Type in your values for R G and B (you can ignore the Preset dropdown completely.) The Interpolation value corresponsed to the 'A' value, so unless you are working on Khajiit or Argonians, it will probably always be 1.
Base Head Parts
To change stuff in this section, click the line you want to change then go down to the dropbox below it and change it to what you want Face - unless you're using something like High Poly Heads, you can ignore this Everything else in this box: change to what you wrote down for each
Additional Head Parts
This is mainly used for scars and functions a little differently. To add a scar, you need to go to the Object window again. You can expand the Character tab and click 'HeadPart' then search the name of the scar you want. Click and drag the line with your scar into the Additional Head Parts box and it should show up there.
12. Once you've got the above like you want it, hit 'Ok', save your plugin. Now, to make the next step a little easier, you can click the NPC name in the Object Window again and hit f4.
This will export the meshes/textures file folders to the mod you just made in step 8.
Go ahead and exit the CK now
13. Go your your files exported from the last step. Open a second window from the files you exported from SKSE.
Tumblr media
Open both meshes in two separate NifSkope windows.
Tumblr media
If your SKSE head has a weird broken neck mesh like above, that's not a problem and can be ignored.
You absolutely must make sure your headparts match the head you exported from RaceMenu exactly, or you will get the dreaded dark face bug.
Now, you will need to find the Head textures in the head you exported from the CK. If your NifSkope is set up like mine, it should look like this:
Copy this line and paste it into the SKSE head in the same slot.
Save the SKSE NifSkope and close.
14. Rename the SKSE files (both .dds and .nif) to the number your exported heads are. You can then copy and paste your your SKSE files to their respective folders in your step 8 mod folder:
the .nif file goes in meshes/actors/character/FaceGenData/FaceGeom/[name of plugin]
the .dds file goes into textures/actors/character/FaceGenData/FaceTint/[name of plugin]
And now you're ready for testing! At this point I also recommend taking a second and converting your plugin to an ESPFE via SSE Edit. It's pretty simple and there are tutorials out there.
Tumblr media
Scully, you're not gonna believe this.

I was a Boy Scout in the land of yesterday - for about 8 minutes.  We were the worst troop in the history of the BSA (this claim is documented at BSA headquarters.)
We held our meetings in the basement of a local church.  At one particular meeting, the Scout Master was tardy.  When he walked in, two scouts were fist-fighting over who would get the last pinch of Copenhagen snuff that another scout had brought to the meeting, one scout was dancing on the piano keys, and another was smoking half of a cigar he had found in the ashcan outside.
The Scout Master took one look, muttered something unintelligible, clutched at his chest, and managed to drive himself to the hospital.  He survived, but immediately resigned his position.
That same summer, our troop went on a camp out.  It began raining almost immediately and rained all night.  Everything was soggy, including a girly magazine one of the scouts found in a trash bin.
He and I hiked two miles back to where the vehicles were parked and spent the night perusing the mysteries of female flesh.  Meanwhile, unable to find us, the new Scout Master and most of the remaining troop spent the night searching for us on both banks of the river.
-
We weren’t summarily expelled from the BSA, but nobody wept when we just stopped attending the meetings.
It was pretty much an ugly, all male production anyway.

My journey studying with Autism (higher education)
Not sure if this is going to help anyone, but I wanted to share some of my experiences studying with autism (in the Netherlands specifically). I guess I just want to show, even though I'm doing well academically now, there is more to that than just being smart, I had to grow a lot before getting where I am today. Buckle up; it's a long one. (disclaimer after writing: it doesn't focus a lot on autism explicitly, but it definitely had a lot of influence)
tl;dr: I had a number of struggles, made some decisions, and am doing better now! First, some context: in the Netherlands, there are several forms of higher education; the ones that are important in my story are Universities of Applied Sciences (or: Higher professional education. HBO in Dutch) and Research Universities (WO in Dutch). As the name implies, a WO focuses on research, thinking analytically and critically. It has higher entry requirements than HBO. It has a relatively high teaching speed and requires a lot of self-study; in general, it is considered a lot harder than HBO. Study programs at an HBO are more practical, and your future profession is a lot clearer from the start (the programs are more specific), and there is more supervision (and, in my experience, group work, though this may vary).
Without getting too much into the Dutch educational system: I followed the 6-year program that would allow me to go to a WO immediately after high school (at the age of 18). I chose to study history and then do a masters to become a high school history teacher. I also started a part-time job in September. I had to travel for a little over an hour to get to class. And... I had no idea I have autism.
year 1
I loved it. I loved the academic environment, learning all the new things, and going to classes. At first, things seemed great! Until exams came around. Even though I had been making my homework passionately, I didn't pass any of the three exams. (Do note that I had to pass 9 out of 12 courses to be allowed to stay in the program, so missing the first 3 already was a big deal). The student councillor wasn't too worried. He told me to follow a course on study skills (which helped a lot! I do recommend looking into the resources your school offers, I paid maybe 5 euros for 6 sessions of coaching). And he told me that if I was worried about the 9 out of 12 rule (BSA for those familiar with the system), I could unenroll before February and try again next year. Even though my study skills improved, I didn't have enough time to apply them in the second block, so I also failed those 3 exams (and the resits). I also felt like I needed a break, I was so tired and decided to do as the student councillor had advised: I unenrolled before the start of the 2nd semester.
year 2
I spent the next semester putting in a few more hours at that part-time job I mentioned earlier and even got more responsibilities over the summer. I also decided I wanted to move out and live in the city where I was also studying; it'd save me about 3-4 hours of travelling every day. I moved into a little studio that summer. I kept my job in the town I came from. The first semester went by pretty smoothly! I failed 2 classes but was probably able to pass them during resits. I was tired a lot and spent more time on the part-time job than I wanted, so I quit (maybe the semester didn't go by as smoothly as I remember, lol). The second semester started in February 2020, and a few weeks in, we went into lockdown. Tbh, the combination of having quit my job and having no obligations besides doing my homework and showing up for online classes was great. It allowed me to rest and focus on my studies (which I was still quite passionate about). (I know a lot of people had a terrible time during lockdowns and had very negative experiences due to covid. I count myself lucky that I didn't). I passed all my classes that year and moved on to the second year (out of three).
year 3
I was doing a lot better at this point. I felt capable and even became a student mentor for the upcoming first years (I had to show them around the campus once and just be available to answer basic questions. Because of covid, we had a weekly check-in online).
I also moved to a bigger studio during the first term, it was hectic, but I managed to write the two essays that needed to get done and passed both with a good grade. HOWEVER. My mother had gotten slightly concerned and started wondering if maybe I had autism (like my 2 brothers and both my parents...)(for context: my mother is a kind of social worker who specialised in autism, so she was making a VERY educated guess) because little things seemed to stress me out much more than is considered 'normal'. The second term was terrible. I had no idea how I was supposed to write my essay, and the teaching style did not at all match my study style. I spoke to the student councillor again and cut down on the workload. At the end of the first semester, I was put on a waitlist to get a diagnosis, and I also applied for additional financial help because I was not able to have a job while studying (because of the suspected autism). During the second semester, things went downhill quite quickly. I was tired and had lost motivation. In April, I decided I would switch study programs and go to an HBO after the summer and follow the English teacher program there.
Year 4
Things were very different at HBO. I actually felt like I was back in high school. My co-students seemed to have much less discipline than me, and most were a few years younger. I am fairly certain that people thought of me as a teacher's pet (which I am, tbh) and possibly a bit arrogant because I was not shy in letting people know I knew the answer. I quickly noticed I had a big advantage in multiple facets: study skills, self-discovery, English proficiency (my history courses were all in English) and history (specifically British and USA). This allowed me to focus my energy on other things: such as adjusting to the new social situation, my new relationship (I met him at the teaching program, lol) and getting a diagnosis. I passed all my courses in one try, except my speaking exam (pronunciation is my weak spot, I passed the resit). I didn't have time for a job or a lot of extracurriculars, but I managed to get through the year pretty well with good grades. I also was officially diagnosed at the start of the second semester. year 5
This was the past year. It was tough, but again, I managed to get through the year with good grades. Do I think I could keep up a full-time job as a teacher? Maybe not the best idea if I also want to have a social life. But I feel like I am getting the hang of things and am getting more aware of my needs (especially in relation to my autism). I did experience a lot of stress the past few weeks as I had to finish a few reports and am looking for ways to get help with reports I have difficulty with. Making the decision to go from WO to HBO was quite scary. It was not what I had in mind, and it'd mean adding a whole lot of years to my student debt (we actually have an okay system here). During this year, I was actually able to have part of my student debt erased, so that was a big relief. Idk how many of you will make it to this point of the post. And I don't know if any of you got any wiser from reading about my experiences. I hope it gave you some hope that not everything has to be perfect from the start. It took me some time to find out what was best for me; it's okay if you need more time. Anyway, I might make a post about what it is like to study with autism. If you have any questions about: - studying in the Netherlands (with or without autism) - picking between WO or HBO - what regulations I applied for to get additional funding and have part of my student debt erased (these are regulations for Dutch students with disabilities, not just autism) - or anything else you think I might be able to say something useful about feel free to leave a comment! (I am fluent in Dutch, so if that's easier for you, that's fine!)

Maybe Kishimoto changed his mind on borusara as gaiden and boruto movie introduced bsa's platonic and brotherly bond like sasunaru but now in timeskip it's like boruto only cares about his two person, his master and his daughter.
This chapter was so awkward as boruto, sumire and sarada conversation. All the time it seems like sumire was third wheeling boruto sarada.
I feel like its going to be ship bait like with NaruSaku still even Sakura blushed around Naruto a few times, but it was never romantically. Sarada still doesn't think of him that way as she said she only got emotional.
I think that was only cause Boruto showed up only to tell Sarada about Sasuke like he said. He was sticking to business relating to that.

I really appreciate that the scouts in rise are clearly based on girl scouts, but are also a thing seemingly made up by Casey entirely, so I can make the scout activities whatever the hell I want them to be bc I know absolutely jack diddly about girl scouts, but I was a bsa member so I can use that for reference (I think Casey is the absolute queen of committing to the bit and she would absolutely figure out how to work ninja training into merit badge activities. The girls are masters at all the boy scouty things, but in the most skewed way possible)

I regret to inform you that the boy scout of america sign is enfact three fingers of the right hand with the arm held out at a right angle (source: I'm an eagle scout, but also I'm double checking google images of other eagle scouts' courts of honor wherein that pomp is dialed in 100% correct, because I don't trust the verimilisitude of my memory).
Not gonna post some guy's court of honor photos, definitely not posting mine, but here's illustrations of the scout sign (which is seporate from the scout salute, still three fingers but touching the forehead instead of the right angle arm thing).
Tumblr media
You may be confusing it with the cub scout sign which is two fingers spread apart and salute (two fingers together at the forehead) or since scouting is an international movement, your national scouting org might have a slightly different sign and salute; but the comic artist is correct about the BSA's scout sign being three fingers and a ninety degree arm.
THAT SAID,
The BSA has a long history of changes to the uniform, especially wit regard to the shoulder loopies, neckercheif, troop colors and so on being in constant negociation, and this as far as I'm aware, this combination of colors has never existed, and it really showcases that the comic artist has a very shallow understanding of the history of boy scouts vis-a-vis the uniform because the historically correct comic looks more like this:
Tumblr media
All of that said,
While boy scouts, (specifically boy scouts of america) perports itself to be a progressive organization, that's mostly a bunch of outward facing propaganda to my experience of the organiztion as a fundementally christo-conservative organization. As such the reactionary sentiment in the comic is something you'd hear with in the organzation itse and I'd not be surprised if the artist were a fellow eagle scout who's not autistic about the scout uniform's history (though I would be disappointed and ashamed by association).
During my 15 years in the scouting program (including 5 years as a cub scout, and two years as an adult) gay people were not allowed to participate in the organzation at any level because the BSA had a massive problem with CSA and was using gay people as a scapegoat and a ban on gay people's particapation in the organzation as an alternative to addressing the actual fucking problem for eleven of those years, and only allowed gay youth to be openly gay in the program when I was about to age out (and therefore not benefit from the rules change, required to stay in the closet as queer (because cishet people don't see different flavors of queer as distinct) to continue my particapation in the program as an adult).
I was also told point blank during my atheist phase that, "If you're asked about your religion by your eagle board, lie. Scouting is fundementally a religious organization and there will never be an atheist eagle scout."
Also also, there's the whole thing where BSA is big into appropriation of indigenious cultural markers, and has a major colonialist bend to their 'care for nature' mindset while not supporting major native political goals like landback because BSA was one of the largest private land owners in the US before the whole damages for CSA cause them to declare bankruptcy at a national level (don't know if they still hold the title or not)
So, if boy scouting in america is getting more progressive, good for it; I haven't been paying enough attention 'cause I don't care enough to keep up, and I don't plan on having kids to put through scouting.
But the comic's sentiment is very much in line with my experiences in the boy scout, and I can imagine my recently late scout master posting this exact comic on facebook thinking it says something bad about scouting's trajectory.

Start a Cryptocurrency Exchange: From Novice to Pro in Cryptocurrency Exchange Trading
Tumblr media
The world of cryptocurrency has exploded over the last decade, transforming from a niche interest into a global phenomenon. As digital currencies like Bitcoin and Ethereum have gained traction, the demand for cryptocurrency exchanges has surged. For those looking to start a cryptocurrency exchange in the US or start a cryptocurrency exchange in the UK, understanding the intricacies of cryptocurrency trading is crucial. This article takes you from novice to pro, offering insights into mastering cryptocurrency exchange trading and highlighting the potential of launching your own platform with the help of companies like Shamlatech.
The Basics of Cryptocurrency Exchange Trading
What is a Cryptocurrency Exchange?
A cryptocurrency exchange is an online platform where users can buy, sell, and trade digital currencies. These exchanges serve as intermediaries between buyers and sellers, allowing for the exchange of cryptocurrencies in a secure and efficient manner. There are two primary types of cryptocurrency exchanges: centralized and decentralized.
Centralized Exchanges (CEX): Operated by a central authority, these exchanges offer high liquidity and a wide range of trading pairs. They are user-friendly but require users to trust the exchange with their funds.
Decentralized Exchanges (DEX): Operated on a blockchain without a central authority, DEXs offer greater privacy and control over funds. However, they often have lower liquidity and can be more complex to use.
Key Components of a Cryptocurrency Exchange
To successfully start a cryptocurrency exchange, whether in the US or the UK, it's important to understand the key components that make up a trading platform:
Trading Engine: The core of any exchange, the trading engine matches buy and sell orders and executes trades. It ensures the platform operates efficiently and accurately.
User Interface (UI): The UI is what users interact with when they trade on the exchange. A well-designed UI should be intuitive and easy to navigate, even for beginners.
Wallet Integration: Cryptocurrency exchanges need to integrate secure wallets to store users' digital assets. This can include hot wallets (online) and cold wallets (offline) for enhanced security.
Liquidity Management: Liquidity is essential for an exchange's success. It ensures that there are enough buyers and sellers on the platform to facilitate trades without significant price slippage.
Security Measures: Security is paramount in the cryptocurrency world. Implementing measures like two-factor authentication (2FA), encryption, and regular security audits are critical to protect users' funds and data.
Regulatory Compliance: Depending on the location, exchanges must adhere to local regulations. For instance, to start a cryptocurrency exchange in the US, one must comply with the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and register with FinCEN. In the UK, exchanges must register with the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).
Getting Started: How to Begin Trading on a Cryptocurrency Exchange
Choosing the Right Exchange
Before diving into trading, selecting the right exchange is crucial. For beginners, it's advisable to start with a centralized exchange due to its user-friendly interface and support. Popular exchanges include Binance, Coinbase, and Kraken, each offering a wide range of cryptocurrencies and trading tools.
Setting Up an Account
Registration: Sign up by providing your email address, creating a password, and agreeing to the terms of service.
Verification: Most exchanges require identity verification to comply with KYC (Know Your Customer) regulations. This process typically involves submitting a government-issued ID and proof of address.
Depositing Funds: After verification, you can deposit funds into your account. This can be done via bank transfer, credit card, or by depositing cryptocurrencies from another wallet.
Understanding Trading Pairs
Cryptocurrencies are traded in pairs, representing the value of one cryptocurrency relative to another. For example, the BTC/USD pair shows how much Bitcoin is worth in US dollars. Understanding trading pairs is essential for making informed trading decisions.
Placing Orders
There are several types of orders you can place on a cryptocurrency exchange:
Market Orders: Buy or sell immediately at the current market price.
Limit Orders: Set a specific price at which you want to buy or sell. The order will only be executed if the market reaches that price.
Stop-Loss Orders: Set a price at which your position will be automatically sold to limit potential losses.
Advanced Trading Strategies: Moving from Novice to Pro
Technical Analysis
Technical analysis involves studying price charts and using various indicators to predict future price movements. Common indicators include Moving Averages (MA), Relative Strength Index (RSI), and Bollinger Bands. Mastering technical analysis is crucial for making profitable trades.
Fundamental Analysis
Fundamental analysis focuses on the underlying factors that affect a cryptocurrency's value, such as technology, market demand, and regulatory news. By staying informed about the latest developments, traders can make more educated decisions.
Risk Management
Effective risk management is key to long-term success in cryptocurrency trading. This includes setting stop-loss orders, diversifying your portfolio, and not investing more than you can afford to lose. Pro traders often use the 1% rule, which limits each trade to 1% of their total capital.
Using Bots and Automation
For those looking to streamline their trading process, automated trading bots can be a valuable tool. These bots execute trades based on pre-set parameters, allowing for 24/7 trading without manual intervention. However, it's important to thoroughly test and monitor bots to avoid unexpected losses.
The Next Step: Starting Your Own Cryptocurrency Exchange
Why Start a Cryptocurrency Exchange?
With the cryptocurrency market continuing to grow, starting your own exchange can be a lucrative business opportunity. By offering a secure, user-friendly platform, you can attract a large user base and generate revenue through trading fees, listing fees, and other services.
Steps to Start a Cryptocurrency Exchange
Market Research: Understand the target market and identify the needs of potential users. This will help you design a platform that stands out in a crowded market.
Partner with a Development Company: Building a cryptocurrency exchange from scratch requires technical expertise. Shamlatech is a leading company that specializes in developing custom cryptocurrency exchanges. Their team can help you create a platform that meets all regulatory requirements and offers a seamless user experience.
Obtain Licenses and Compliance: In the US, you'll need to register with FinCEN and comply with the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA). In the UK, registration with the FCA is mandatory. Ensuring full compliance with local regulations is crucial to avoid legal issues.
Launch and Marketing: Once your exchange is built and compliant, it's time to launch. Effective marketing strategies, including social media campaigns and partnerships with influencers, can help attract users to your platform.
Choosing Shamlatech for Your Exchange Development

Healthyhorns May 2023 Graduates Reflect on Experience and Time with Organization
Tumblr media
As their semesters come to a close, three exceptional student employees from Healthyhorns took the opportunity to reflect on their journeys at The University of Texas at Austin. They shared how Healthyhorns has impacted their college experiences and shaped their futures.
University Health Services, the Counseling and Mental Health Center and the Longhorn Wellness Center are home to dozens of student employees, interns, volunteers and mentees each school year. In many cases, a student’s time spent at Healthyhorns is vital to their degree plan and future in their field of study.
Olivia Frolichstein recently graduated with her BSA from the College of Natural Sciences. Frolichstein became involved with the Longhorn Wellness Center when she joined the Longhorn Wellness Peer Educator program in Fall 2021. After she completed the program in Fall 2022, she accepted a position as a student assistant for the next cohort of peer educators during Spring 2023.
“My involvement with Healthyhorns and the LWC introduced me to the field of public health and health promotion,” Frolichstein said. “Working towards a common, meaningful goal with peers who are passionate, intentional and kind made my time with the LWC so special.”
Frolichstein said her next step is to move to St. Louis to attend Washington University where she will pursue a Master of Public Health with a specialization in mental and behavioral health.
“I would like to express my gratitude for the role Healthyhorns played in my professional and personal development,” Frolichstein said. “The past two years working in the LWC have been my favorite part of my undergraduate experience!”
Shilpaa Chandrasekar was a public health major within the College of Natural Sciences. During her time at University Health Services, Chandrasekar served as a student assistant for the UHS Administration office for four consecutive semesters.
In her role, Chandrasekar assisted around the office by completing print requests, editing forms in InDesign, completing a variety of projects, and helping plan office and professional development events.
“My involvement with Healthyhorns taught me how to be professional and flexible,” Chandrasekar said. “I was given opportunities to take initiative and lead projects, and when completing projects, I learned the importance of double and triple checking to ensure the details are perfect. These leadership and quality assurance skills will help me be a clinical leader as I prepare to become a dentist.”
Chandrasekar said she plans to take a gap year while working at a dental clinic in Houston before she attends dental school.
“I want to thank Healthyhorns for teaching me the skills to be a professional,” Chandrasekar said. “The last two years have been such a pleasure, and I will cherish every lesson I’ve learned.”
Erin Morpeth is a fifth-year doctoral candidate graduating with a PhD in educational psychology in August 2023. Morpeth has worked alongside Associate Vice President of Health and Well-being Chris Brownson for four years as a graduate assistant focusing on UT System related initiatives including mental health, student safety, and substance use safety.
“I worked with UT System programs like BASICS (Brief Alcohol Screening and Intervention for College Students) and bystander intervention in a variety of ways, including coordinating funding requests, planning conferences and facilitating communication,” Morpeth said. “For four years I was also a member of the National Research Consortium of Counseling Centers in Higher Education, which is housed in CMHC.”
In 2019, Morpeth also served as CMHC's administrative intern through the Division of Student Affairs internship program, working with Executive Director of the Counseling and Mental Health Center Marla Craig.
During the 2019-2020 academic year, Morpeth was a practicum counselor with CMHC, and during the 2021-2022 academic year was the substance use safety graduate assistant in the Longhorn Wellness Center, where she worked on the AlcoholEdu programs and other harm reduction related programing.
“Healthyhorns provided me with so many opportunities to grow as a mental health professional,” Morpeth said. “I have always been passionate about working with college student mental health, and in order to be a well-rounded professional in this field, it is critical that we have experience with working with the larger student population who may not seek out therapy. Healthyhorns allowed me to build skills in the administrative and outreach side of college student mental health and facilitated important professional connections. I also had the privilege of working with some of the most talented folks in college mental health that were generous enough to share their time, wisdom and mentorship with me.”
Morpeth has been working to complete her predoctoral psychology internship during the 2022-2023 academic year with Counseling & Psychological Services at Florida State University. She plans on continuing with FSU CAPS as a psychology resident and research coordinator in August and then will become a CAPS staff psychologist in 2024.
“I was fortunate to work with staff all throughout the Healthyhorns portfolio in a variety of ways,” Morpeth said. “Each person on this team has so much to offer from their own unique perspectives and skillsets. It has been an incredible opportunity soaking up knowledge from as many people as possible.”

Welcome
Welcome to my blog, Moms Got A Budget! I wanted to start out and introduce myself and what I hope to bring you in this blog!
My name is Ashley, I am a stay-at-home mom or homemaker, all my kids are in school so I'm not sure what that makes my title anymore. Anyways, I have three kids and a fur baby. I am also married to my baby daddy, yes, I call him baby daddy and he hates it. We've been married for 12 years now. We are also a very huge scouting family. Both of my big kids are in Scouts BSA and our littlest is in Cub Scouts. I am the committee chair for both our Cub Scout Pack and our daughters BSA troop. I also sit on the district in Membership chair. While my husband is Assistant Scout Master of both our sons BSA Troop and our daughters BSA Troop. We love to do the camping and the hikes, and it keeps us busy, but we do it as a family!
I started couponing about 8-9 years ago, right before I got pregnant with our littlest and I couponed all the way until shortly after giving birth to her. Since then, things in the coupon world have definitely changed but I've managed to adapt. I've taken a lot of time off and while I don't heavily coupon like I used to, I still find ways to save money. My goal is to get back into, but overtime.
I also try to find the best little side hustles to help us get some extra cash. (That isn't MLM related.) Nothing against MLM's, a few years ago I did Paparazzi Accessories and was semi successful with it, however then we moved, and I no longer had the space, so I let it go. Since then, my views on MLM's have changed, if you can make it work, amazing for you and I applaud you, however I just don't feel that it's for me anymore, unless I can find a product, I am absolutely thrilled with that also has an amazing business structure. Now, enough about that.
So overall, my goal here is to hopefully help you save some money (and time) by finding deals for you. And maybe even find a decent little side hustle for you to make some money from. I'll look for deals from Amazon, TEMU, and In-store deals from CVS, Walgreens, Walmart, Dollar Tree, & Dollar General. I'll also try any side hustle I come across and try it out and review it, so you can see if it really worth it or not. Plus, any other tips and tricks to save you some cash, I'll throw in here also.
Now, let's find those deals!

This is how it all starts for a young man and his love for speed. Back in the 70's this was my every weekend life. Traveling around the State to different tracks and racing. Learning sportsmanship... Learning not to share your speed secrets... learning to share spare parts to help others make the green flag. Making friends....watching the big boys riding 650 snortin Norton's and BSA's.... and bultacos and what seemed like huge Harleys....and dreaming of going pro. Keeping your Bellstar helmet clean. Such great memories!!! I wanna go back please. My dad was a master at making my bike screaming fast. And wouid spend hours at night in the garage teaching me to work on the bikes. At 9 yrs old he would have me rebuilding my race engines. What a wonderful time in life. This really lit me up with emotion today. Pretty sure I'm gonna miss my dad real bad today. It's because of these days that I sooo love speed. I don't know if you can hear me dad.....but thank you soooo much for giving me this as a kid....letting me have long hair and just be the cool kid......thank you from the bottom of my heart. ❤️

you can tell that the bsa fans only care about Salad. they expect Bolt to take on her name, like what?????
they only way they'd end up together is if every other girl died off, including that Ouga girl since even if Sumire died, Ouga still liked Bolt even tho she's a filler. she, a FILLER CHARACTER, has more development with Bolt and more chemistry.
like, Salad only blushes at Bolt cause she believes that he'll give everything up for her. she may not admit that she likes him, but with the subtle hints, you can tell she wants him to give up his dream and support HER, raise HER kids, be a stay-at-home dad.
she's like her fans. thinks Bolt's gonna give everything to her.
as opposed to Sumire, who would be SUPPORTIVE of Bolt's dream, like Hinata. she'll have strong kids (stronger than Salad's) and raise them properly. she can even travel with Bolt cause the only ties she has to the village are her friends and her job, but even then, she might not wanna be a Scientific Researcher after that.
Bolt knows the pain of not having a father around so there is no way he'd ditch someone as nice as Sumire like Sasuke did with Sakura.
compare this with bsa, Bolt will probably avoid his family, KNOWING that his kids will turn out like our him and Salad turned out, but I wouldn't be surprised if he rather spend time with whoever Sumire ends up with, just lie his master. you can't blame him tho.
what will Bolt chose? give up his dream and bend over and give everything to Salad, even giving up his dream or leave the village WITH Sumire and their kids and even train them, never missing out on their important events?????
Hmm, hard choice for the bsa fandom.
Exactly they are fine with the Uzumaki clan ending and want to force Boruto to her name as if his clan doesn't matter to him at all. They just want Boruto to bend over and completely throw away his own agency for Sarada.
Yeah overall Sumire seems the better choice the family life would work so much better and as you pointed out it is very possible that if Boruto ever travels like Sasuke Sumire would go and stay with him as where Sarada is stuck in the village it would be SasuSaku all over again. I don't think his dream needs him to leave the village, but Boruto will take a good supporting role for the village either way.
