Dans le cadre de la 7e édition de l’exposition triennale de l’ADIAF « De leur temps », le Frac Grand Large présente un nouvel instantané des collections françaises d’art contemporain à travers une sélection d’œuvres acquises récemment sur les 4 niveaux du bâtiment. Constituant un panorama unique des achats récents des collectionneurs français, cette exposition témoigne de leur vitalité et de leur passion pour l’art « de leur temps ».

Ça fait longtemps que je n'ai pas posté. Mon moral était très lunatique ces derniers temps.

J'ai passée un super week-end. j'ai réalisé pleins de choses que je voulais faire depuis des mois.

J'ai enfin fais mon premier shampooing solide, fais des bougies, allée au cinema voir un film d'horreur, me promener au parc. Ça m'a fait tellement de bien.

Hier je me suis sentis belle, ça n'arrive pas assez souvent ces dernier temps.

Voilà je me sent bien et j'ai trop hâte que la nouvelle lune arrive ⭐

(La troisième photo c'est un dessin qui vient d'une expo que j'ai vue à Tours pendants les vacances, l'artiste s'appelle Massinissa Selmani).

We showed 3 episodes of SHTV in Paris for Nofrontiers2021 a group exhibit curated by Mehdi Georges Lahlou. It's the first time shtv is being shown in a country where s** work is actually illegal.

Massinissa Selmani

I love these work by Selmani,the way he uses white space with these gentle translucent drawing is almost moving. These images have an emotional charge which hangs in their simplicity. It is clear that the works deal with memory, some images are fragmented, faded, sidelined, whilst certain figures and objects are fixed in minute detail, suspended in blankness. I think this is a good illustration of retrieving memory, the brain struggling to fill in gaps between small focus points, and the emergence of the rectangular forms of media images, a mixture of lived experiences and consumed imagery. They avoid banal description with subtle ‘absurd’ elements like an unlikely colour, perspective or combination of figures/objects that aren’t immediately obvious but give the scenes an ethereal dream like quality or surreal narrative. 

‘ Massinissa Selmani’s work aims to create drawn forms mingling a documentary approach with fictional constructions and animations, while taking as its point of departure contemporary political and social  issues from press cuttings. Through confrontation, juxtaposition and  even the superposition of actual elements, whose contexts have systematically been concealed, the artist creates enigmatic, ambiguous  scenes unlikely to happen in reality, , bearing witness to the absurdity of human behaviours and always balances these depictions within the realms of the comical and the tragic, or  architecture as an instrument of power. By arranging large white spaces and playing on effects of transparency and reserve, he  invites us to fill in the gaps, to question the way we remember and  write history, beyond any linear structure. In this way, he also raises  questions about the production process but also the circulation and  diffusion of media images, as well as the way they influence our  perception of historical and current events’

EXPO : Discorde, fille de la nuit : la nouvelle saison du Palais de Tokyo

Le Palais de Tokyo fait le plein d’expositions ! Le musée parisien propose du 16 février au 13 mai 2018 sa nouvelle saison intitulée Discorde, fille de la nuit. 

Une saison composée de cinq expositions et d’une œuvre in-situ autour de différentes thématiques comme la guerre ou l’histoire et leur impact sur l’art moderne.

Au total, sept artistes proposent leur vision du monde moderne à travers leurs œuvres : Neïl Beloufa, le duo Kader Attia et Jean-Jacques Lebel, Georges Henry Longly, Massinissa Selmani, Marianne Mispelaëre et Anita Molinero.
