Which moment from fnaf absolutely broke you? Like, it made you want to throw up, cry, etc.

For me it was the mask bot (or help trap) ending from hw2. Every time I even think about it, it makes me want to throw up and cry because of how disgusting, tragic, and dreading it is. Even in Ruin that mask bot moment still breaks me (which is ironic because 7 months ago we thought nothing of it).

Hm. The closest one I'd say would be the elevator drop in Ruin, with the Maskbot ending being other one. I feel so bad for Cassie all the time.

In HW2, pretty much ebay single animatronic is particularly mean to the protag. I know it's supposed to give a sense of urgency at doing one's job well, but like...jeez. Those Faz Ent. recruiters are absolutely ruthless and don't care about the feelings of the employees.

It may have been amped up due to the Glitchtrap virus, but it seems HW2 really despises the protag. Why do you think this is?

since the cassie ending shows us were playing as a staff bot maybe that's why. "what makes you so special" applies to "why are you so special compared to the other staffbots" and also staffbots are probably or even canonically mistreated and seen as expendable. so maybe they hate the 'protag' because they're annoyed at the staffbot

One thing I realised while watching that Sire Squawks video about solving security breach without security breach (and then had to pause to come here so i wouldnt forget) is

Cassie probably wasn't talking as much as we thought during Ruin.

Like. Okay. We hear her. So we assumed she was talking with her lines like "I think it's supposed to power the door." and so on.

But during the HW ending where Maskbot gives Cassie the Vanni Mask, she's silent.

Which... during Ruin, she wasn't. She had voicelines... or what we assumed were voicelines. "Weird, it's not a Bonnie mask... look at all the wires, and stuff."

My theory is- a lot of her 'voicelines' are just... Cassie's internal monologue. We get to hear her think!

She still does talk- to Gregory, the animatronics, and Helpi. And seemingly when she's scared, or hurt, or surprised. (I don't think "ow! That hurt!", "it's gone!" Or "I better find a way out, before it comes back." Were thoughts. For the former, because people tend to say and think "ow!". Latter two, because they also had groans or gasps with them admittedly.)

But this does mean people were mocking Cassie for saying stuff like "no way, I walk through a big screen and I'm in superstar daycare?" When she was probably just thinking it. And like. Come on. If you were in her shoes and a moniter that you were just using poofed into thin air, you would also think that was weird.

Help Wanted 2 Spoilers

This is one of my favorite theories. Like, if maskbot is actually Cassie's dad then I'm hoping for a moment where they meet again or something like that

Outside Upgrades Lore beyond the Cut! (A lot of writing, feel free to skip.)

Hi guys!!! This is a doodle for my new and improved Outside Upgrades! Ruin edition!

The characters (ocs) pictured are N (left) and Light (right)!

N is an urban explorer by trade, making and posting videos of her explorations online. (She has no self-preservation skills, which is why she's so popular.) Meanwhile, Light was a FazCo. employee back in the day, and currently they're unemployed.

The whole point of this AU when I first made it was that Light was there the night the Plex collapsed (and would've escaped with the help of Moon). They lost their leg in that injury, and FazCo basically paid Light off to not spill the secrets of the company, and they got to keep Sun/Moon. Eventually they'd discover Eclipse mode, which was their caretaking protocol.

This update? Light was close to the entrance when it collapsed and was eventually found by a rescue crew (they were searching for Vanessa) with their leg pinned under sone rubble. They've been in recovery for a few years by the time they return with N to the Plex. The pair arrive shortly before Cassie, but they shimmy under that gate where it looks like Monty shoved through and go a different direction before she can keep up.

Eventually, they find their way to Gator Grub where Maskbot is and N snags a mask, but a lot of obstacles they can brute force through better than Cassie could. And by the time they get to the daycare, Cassie's already been through. Eclipse is there.

Seeing Light kinda, snaps him out of that "clean up" mode, and after some sappy moments, Eclipse decides to join the two explorers in their adventure and eventual return to the real world.

I like to think that they *do* catch up with Cassie, whether that be after the elevator crashes or before she goes to the basement to confront the mimic, they find her by complete chance. And of course, this is a whole child? Who put her down here??

Eclipse feels terrible that he sent her on her way earlier, Light is dumbfounded as to how she got so deep, and N (who's piecing together what Helpi has been talking about this whole time) is ready to confidently just undo the hinges on the door Cassie needs through so that Roxy doesn't get deactivated. And it *works*.

They all face the mimic, and whether they scoop it, or Eclipse and Roxy are enough to overpower it, or they just get to the elevator safely, it doesn't matter. They get out.

And then soft AU that it originally was ensues, with Eclipse getting repairs done and sticking with Light as a Healthcare assistant robot.

(N also slowly but surely recovers the other animatronics, with Light's help, and gets them repaired and puts about 30 firewalls on their programming. Roxy's the first, with Freddy being the last to be recovered fully.)

And of course, Cassie is implied to at least have a dad, so I imagine she'd find her father, and since he was *also* implied to be a Faz-Technician, he'd fix up Roxy best he could, and when Cassie introduced N finally (Light was busy) her dad offered to repair anything else she brought him, so she brought the band.

I'm not sure how much I'll write/draw for this, but originally I abandoned the idea because it had a y/n. I wasn't sure how I'd write about chronic pain or the loss of a limb or ptsd for a wide enough audience, and it eventually drove me to not write it at all. (Why you see me post AEB the mermay au more than the original-)

I'm glad that I made the choice to drag this one into oc land. Outside Upgrades was always self-indulgent (I made Eclipse a soft-boy and actually put together and decidedly not a whore, and it was pure luck that Canon Eclipse matches up so well) and it will remain self-indulgent.

Of course, if anyone wants to use the design or drop their own character in rather than Light, not like I'll complain! Tho I'd like ppl to @ me if they do use this concept or design cuz I'd just love to see it! :D

So... so far my thoughts on Help Wanted 2 are that yeah probably playing as Cassie's dad or the conspiracy guy from SB. I'm weirdly not too interested honestly? We seem to have maybe given Vanny some revenge in allowing her to kill Glitchtrap with Princess Quest 4, which is interesting. Interesting to know that's where the fourth game is too.

Moon and Mystic Hippo saying "what makes you so special?" is interesting too like??? Honestly? This feels like the player is the one that got away. Like we survived something, when no one else did, or we just chose this path despite no logical reason and no logical connection to anything at all. Maybe we're Luis here to save Vanessa? Maybe we're Cassie's dad trying to save her, and in doing so, leave nothing to prevent Cassie from joining us in the dark? Or conspiracy guy from SB that just knows something is wrong and has figured out that someone is trapped by the games, with this being their final attempts to do something about it?

Or perhaps, we're one of Mimic's (or Vanny's?) victims, the only one to get away in a massacre and have returned for one reason or another? That does happen twice in the books, so maybe that's applicable here too and we're the one that got away and sealed it away? Such as one of the construction workers for the Raceway that went down there and never came back? Maybe we're there, now trapped underground (since you can't go into the pizzeria in Ruin) hoping Cassie will save us or stop the Mimic?

Mystic Hippo also tells you to really look at our hands which is interesting. Maybe to remind us we're in VR or something? I dunno. Interesting though. There's all those little things like Roxy's plushie being in the dark in the bowling alley, Mystic Hippo asking when we are, all the Glitchtrap stuff happening, the lack of anything Mimic related, the Maskbot having rabbit ears and whatever else... It's all really interesting I guess. Maybe we're the spirits that possess Tangle, or Vanessa or someone, I dunno, maybe Jeremy? Beats me. This is thinking for another day.

Anyway

I fucking LOVE the DJ levels and the carousel. DJ's animations are gorgeously done, he looks amazing and so full of life and character, and the music is fun, he's just so cool. The carousel?? Fucking opens with Sunny complaining that if he was programmed to fix it, it'd be fixed by now lmao and then Moon is just coming at you while you get the three rows of characters moving again. Then suddenly it's on fire. And they added another fucking daycare attendant called Jack-O-Moon that looks dope as hell but I'd bet is making the tags even more inhospitable than before, so thanks for that Steel Wool lmao

I love that Chica is such a nuisance too. Like, they say they're looking into DJ's bugs but not Chica's. Nah you can handle her! She's just going to eat everything ever! Honestly, I'm convinced your job is less preparing food for customers and more preparing food as a Chica Distraction lmao. She's got a massive presence in the game. She's in every food prep stage, the last Fizzy Faz stage, the wild west Fazerblast game and the log flume ride, and she's a really big part of all of those too. This is Chica's game I guess??? Or perhaps this is to show us that Chica is an absolute menace to every staff member ever lmao good for her honestly

Roxy's game is eh. You need to keep watching her or she kills you and if you make too many mistakes she will also kill you which yeah that's fair. Why is her model so dirty though that's what I wanna know. Honestly, her intro speech, like a few others, all feel hugely reheresed like she's sick of saying it over and over which is neat. Foxy has the same thing going on and so does the carnival nurse (who I adore oh my god that happy "I QUIT MY JOB!" thrown in the middle I love it sfdsfsd) but what's interesting about it is the comparison. After the first introduction, Roxy loses that stilted way of talking. She sounds genuinely annoyed that you aren't paying attention to her, and of course in the Ruined version, she sounds in genuine distress the whole time. I dunno, I just think that's neat!

The fact you're using the parts of everyone else on her is interesting too. That's what Gregory did with Freddy, and now someone is doing it with her and she doesn't accept it at all. It just makes her more frustrated with us until she demands a mask. I suppose the thing here is that of course nothing is working for her. She can't see what she looks like and thus, has to go off of how these things are making her feel, and none of them are making her feel better, only worse. Cause of course it would! The other animatronic parts being stuck onto her face obviously aren't going to make her feel better. Her own snout isn't making her feel better because she just wants her god damn eyes back off that thieving kid and everything will be okay again... Hence why she gives up on this and goes back to trying to figure out where he's gone again. Interesting stuff on that one

And sddfsdd Freddy freezing himself in place in cold storage like a dumb. And the fact Circus Baby gives you ice cream and plays games with you like you're a friend and not killable? Interesting! Cool! Sunny being so bossy and stuck up about artwork and the carousel? Hilarious. I love it. Why's the carousel on fire though...

I believe there are still some gamemodes we don't have access to yet, so that's probably where Monty's at. Shame we don't see him at all here but I'm sure we'll see more of him soon.

WE GOT TO SEE MORE OF THE MINIS THOUGH!!!! I love them oh my god. Their model is all YIPPEEEE!!! and I love that for them. They just wanna make music with DJ too! It's so unfair!

And those are my current thoughts on the game. Would love to hear how other people are finding it!

Regardless- do you have a favorite animatronic? Mines Sun and Moon (and eclipse), tho Maskbot is a unironic honorable mention lmao

Sun is my absolute fav, his anxiety, perfectionism, good intentions, sass and just his overall vibe is something I find super relatable. I love him in canon and really love him in fanon, especially @tiredtrashpandaart 's interpretation of him in her comic (not that I'm not biased by the genetic connection there at all lol)

Eclipse comes in second, his 2 seconds of screen time in SB ruin won my heart (he just sounds so concerned and polite and just lovely), then moon because I love scrunchy gremlins lol

When the game first came out, Foxy was my favorite (like most people lol) but I stopped keeping up with the games around the one where Michael burns everything down and the games were kinda but not really meant to end lol, then popped back in to enjoy the mess of a game that was Security Breach.

Y'know, when I watched Mark's final video of his playthrough and Help Wanted 2, he pointed out that there's a floor. And like not even being subtle about it if you know what I mean-

But that triggered a speculation that could actually happen in future games. So listen cuz it might be wild but also not really cuz it's just something I pointed out.

Basically, after we give Cassie the mask we powered down. When we power up again, obviously the credits roll but there's also the floor which means it's most likely possible that we powered on again in Monty Golf. So what if the Mask bot a.k.a Cassie's dad power on again and maybe continued to search for his daughter? After all she's all he has left now.

I know you write fanfics on AO3 so maybe you could write something about this!

And if my speculation is correct and it does follow into future games, then I'll be happy as hell because there's a possible reunion of the father and daughter duo-

HW2 Theory

So, I've noticed a few people talking about how Candy Cadet's story in Help Wanted 2 might relate to Cassie's father, and I just realized a way it might connect if Cassie's Dad is the Bonnie Mask Bully/Jeremy from FNAF 2

Spoilers for Help Wanted 2 under cut

So, in the story, Candy Cadet says that "The woman escaped before she was thrown into the oven, but she would have a scar for the rest of her life."

In FNAF 2, before the bite of '87 happened, Phone guy says this:

"What on earth are you doing there, uh didn’t you get the memo, uh, the place is closed down, uh, at least for a while. Someone used one of the suits. We had a spare in the back, a yellow one, someone used it...now none of them (the animatronics) are acting right."

"Uh we have one more event scheduled for tomorrow, a birthday. You’ll be on day shift, wear your uniform, stay close to the animatronics, make sure they don’t hurt anyone okay."

The animatronics not acting right after this results in the bite, with Jeremy surviving, but most likely having a scar. The 'witch' in this case was William, possibly messing with the animatronics to cause another bite and attack one of the people responsible for his son's death.

Now, why would Jeremy be working at Fazbear Entertainment, or even come back after the bite? Well, if he was friends with Michael, perhaps he wanted to help him investigate what the Hell was going on with the animatronics/what happened to William/what William did. Especially if my theory/headcanon is right that Bonnie Mask and Cassidy were siblings.

Now of course, Candy Cadet's story could refer to Vanessa, but it doesn't make sense in context of HW2. In the secret ending, she (as Vanny) destroys glitchtrap, so the phrase "the witch would finally have her meal" doesn't exactly fit, at least to me. Whereas the player/Cassie's dad gets attacked by the Staff Bots at the end and turned into the Maskbot.

Now, how would Jeremy be lured back to the Pizzaplex? We know he was a game tester in Help Wanted 1, plus as well as knowing Cassie and Gregory were friends prior to SB, and knowing Gregory had been possessed/brainwashed by Glitchtrap at some point, it's not unlikely that Glitchtrap could have used Gregory to lure Jeremy back.

(This works whether Glitchtrap is Afton or the Mimic, due to the Mimic is well, mimicing William. Still wanting revenge on those who killed CC/Evan.)

But that's just my theory on all of this.
