#tate 🟧 #orange #Fibonacci #marymartin ​ ​This is one of a series of five works that Mary Martin called 'Perspex Group on Orange'. For each one she arranged seven pieces of Perspex in a different configuration, assembling them against a large orange square of the same material. Entre los papeles que le dieron fama se encuentra el de Nellie Forbush en South Pacific y el de María en The Sound of Music. Fue nombrada Kennedy Center Honoree en 1989. Mary Martin luchó durante casi dos años para lograr el éxito en el mundo del espectáculo. Empezó una carrera cantando en la radio en Dallas y en clubes de Los Ángeles. Su actuación en un club impresionó a un productor teatral, y fue elegida para trabajar en una obra en Nueva York. Esa producción no llegó a estrenarse, pero consiguió un papel en la obra de Cole Porter Leave It to Me!. Con dicha obra se hizo popular en Broadway y consiguió la atención de los medios nacionales cantando "My Heart Belongs to Daddy". Aunque actuó en nueve filmes en su carrera. Ella explicaba que no disfrutaba rodando películas, pues no tenía la "conexión" con la audiencia que existía en el teatro. Su interpretación más ajustada a la teatral fue en televisión, con Peter Pan. Aunque no disfrutaba con las versiones cinematográficas, aparentemente sí lo hacía con las adaptaciones televisivas, las cuales interpretó con frecuencia.
