Was literally just thinking about how wrong they did Photon. They’re just obsessed with their military bootlicking gun toting brute strength white men as “interesting” worthwhile characters. But for some reason we can’t get an intriguing Photon led production that has good writing. We get the Marvels, where we force three characters into one, as if to say one woman alone can’t carry a movie. And the writing is so shitty and Disney-ish…and now they can blame its failure to cancel the Photon TV show, and the status quo of millions of special extraordinary white guys persists.

Marvel is such a bloated mess at this point and antithetical to quality.

I feel like Disney has been almost maliciously casting black and brown women in these live action remakes to generate public discourse, and they're leaving these poor actresses to fend for themselves almost? They don't seem to protect them in any meaningful way. The quality of the movies themselves is awful, and these women get the (extremely racist, misogynistic and misplaced) blame like it's somehow their fault that the movie is bad. Disney is pumping out garbage and it feels like they know it, but as long as the reaction is profoundly racist against the lead actresses and not actually thoughtful critiques of the quality of the writing and effects and screenplay the company itself can easily dismiss ALL dissatisfaction as infected racist discourse. Am I making sense

The Marvels trio consists of an amnesiac woman with PTSD, an overworked astronaut with major emotional trauma and a sixteen-year-old forced to confront the horrors of war when she should be fighting low-level crime at most. How the FUCK are they the most emotionally healthy and responsible team in the MCU.

Rewatching The Marvels really makes me wonder how the hell it got such low reviews. Like how can you resist:

-Kamala just being a mood 24/7

-Aladna being Aladna

-Baby Flerkens eating people to "Memory" from "Cats"
