just want to post something before ep 6 of the amazing digital circus

i think jax is the way that he is because he is nihilistic. if you don’t know what that is, it’s the belief that there is no purpose in life and that nothing you do ever matters in the end (it’s very pessimistic and this isn’t word for word it’s just general summation if i got something wrong please correct me). jax mentions a lot that they take the circus too seriously and he is very destructive and generally doesn’t care about what happens to other people as long as he has fun. he probably thinks that it doesn’t matter what he does in this “game” because he’s still stuck in the circus so he might as well do whatever he wants since he can’t leave. also the death of ribbit might have definitely made these nihilistic tendencies worse because grief makes you do some fucked up things. that isn’t to say that because he is nihilistic it excuses all of his horrible actions like bullying and general violence, of course it doesn’t i personally think he’s a jackass, but it certainly would explain why he does the stuff he does. again it’s an explanation, not an excuse

ok so we know how each avatar is somewhat opposite to their predecessor in a sense. like how aang was a pacifist and korra was a lot more “punch now think later”. well what if Pavi is like a lot more indecisive. korra has done some stuff without thinking, but what if Pavi overthinks about everything?

I feel so bad for Korra, she could never catch a break, and then somehow the apocalypse happened. And depending on what the writers are planning, her reincarnation might start out by hating her if she grew up hearing about how awful Korra supposedly was

oh yeah a theory i have about seven havens and the twins is that each twin has different half of the memory of korra causing the apocalypse, but then when they get together they can kinda piece together what actually happened. i feel like it would be interesting if one twin has like a negative view of korra while the other has a more positive, and both of them kinda represent how the fandom has view korra. like they use the twins as a metaphor for how us the viewers feel about korra/aang/the avatar in general

i am curious about how they will handle the twin stuff, not only from a narrative standpoint but as like a character standpoint. with twins in media they’re both treated as one person in a sense and don’t have a personality outside of being a twin. as a twin myself (i’m fraternal so we don’t look alike) i feel like twins are misrepresented and should be treated as two separate people rather than like the same person if that makes sense. like us twins are literally just siblings who share a birthday (i know identical twins are genetically the same but they are still their own individual person, they just look the same)
