Whoa, can't believe I never noticed this easter egg! In Jurassic Park Nedry is briefly seen slacking off by watching Martin Scorsese's Goncharov on his work computers. A little nod by Spielberg to acknowledge Scorsese's classic.

I’ve been piecing together the original Goncharov soundtrack. If you find any songs that I missed, let me know!

Interestingly, the score for this film was compiled by many different musicians and sampled generously from a wide array of both folk and cinematic influences. Russian and Italian songs are used, as well as traditional orchestral arrangements, and even Vivaldi’s Winter suite is featured and acts as a signpost for major events in the film. Critics have called the score “chaotic” (Rolling Stone), “inconsistent” (Afterimage), and “distractingly mixed, to the point where dialogue gets drowned out by raucous violins and overdramatic vocals” (Film Dope), but fans of the film praise its unpredictability and wide range of emotions and themes. You see, Goncharov is about the struggle between Goncharov and Andrei in the plight and struggle of two boys going from childhood friends to bitter rivals but actually Goncharov is about the grinding crush of unattainable American individualism and success but actually Goncharov is really about Katya and Sofia coming together to realize the longing for more than the lives they were given and how two women can escape from violence with love but actually Goncharov is really about all the fucking clocks but actually Goncharov is really about how Scorsese believes that the mob should have let Frank Sinatra order a hit on Woody Allen.
