New chapter of The Mighty Dorks, co-written by me and the fabulous @rainboq​, is now up on Ao3! Now featuring even less hockey and even more relationship woes!

“Sure, I guess. You got this though. While you do that, I’m gonna go skate.”

Kate nods “Okay. Have fun, Chloe,” and watches as Chloe tosses her board to the ground and skates off. She has a sad look on her face, but there’s a fury in her movement. Kate hopes it isn’t directed at her.

Kate glances up from her paper to check her book for the next problem, and notices the other girl at the table, Steph, looking at her. Kate meets her gaze. Steph offers a small smile. Her eyes are such a deep green. Kate smiles back before returning to her work.

Out of the corner of her eye, she sees Steph with a contemplative look on her face, staring off into space. Occasionally she turns back to her notebook to jot down one thing or another.
