Moon Missions
What’s going on with the moon?
The United States recently had a solar eclipse on April 8th, 2024, and some might be surprised to learn that the moon is, in fact, affected by solar radiation. The charged particles emitted by the sun, called the solar wind, reach the moon with no interruption from its atmosphere, as it has none. It also has no global magnetic field, another layer of protection that Earth does have, in comparison.
The moon does, however, have small areas of magnetic fields. We can see this because these areas remain lighter in photos whereas chemical reactions from radiation darken the unprotected areas.
Fortunately, most of these charged particles cannot pass through the hulls of space stations, so astronauts are safe in orbit. Cosmic rays, made of stronger and faster-moving particles, are more dangerous. Even on Earth, under the atmosphere and magnetosphere, cosmic radiation reaches humans, though not enough to be considered damaging to our health.
A lander and rover launched in 2018 delivered the first measurements of radiation levels on the moon 4. Based on those data, astronauts on the moon can be exposed to up to 150 times higher radiation levels than on Earth.
Radiation is a leading reason for the pause in lunar landing missions. It raises risks of cataracts, heart diseases, radiation illness, cancer, and other ailments. Longer missions, of course, would heavily exacerbate these radiation doses.
Other Health Concerns
Cosmic rays contain High-Energy (HZE) ions. In different exposure such as from nuclear accidents or irradiation therapy, HZE ions have been found to cause dysregulation in the mitochondria and damage to DNA. Because of this, prolonged exposure is linked to health effects often associated with aging, such as hippocampus synapse loss and metabolic disruption caused by damage to mitochondrial DNA.
Long-duration space flights have also been linked to cardiovascular disorders. For astronauts on the Apollo missions, heart attack was “the second leading cause of death” 8. For additional space flights outside of Earth’s magnetosphere, astronauts also had a higher mortality rate due to cardiovascular diseases.
In a previous article, we discussed the relationship between circadian rhythms and health. These rhythms are another thing that space travel can impact, causing sleep and mental health disturbances in astronauts 9.
While various studies are investigating the conditions of these health risks, a current NASA mission is specifically investigating radiation protection.
Long-term Mission
NASA plans on eventually returning to human-manned missions to the moon.
First, they have to address the issues discussed above.
In November of 2022, Artemis I launched with two manikins bearing radiation detectors. From this mission, NASA was able to confirm the success of the intended trajectory, launch of ground systems, and the Orion spacecraft. The radiation results from this mission are still being analyzed.
The Artemis missions are intended to explore more of the moon than ever before, and lay groundwork for eventual missions to Mars.
Artemis II will not launch any earlier than September of 2025. It is planned to last ten days, consist of a 4-person crew, and be a lunar flyby to ensure the proper functioning of the spacecraft’s systems.
It has seemed for years that lunar exploration has halted. Manned missions have indeed been paused, for good reasons. Ensuring the safety of astronauts is a priority, and they face serious health risks even when missions go as expected. But NASA intends to continue exploring space, the moon, and Mars. The current Artemis missions are discovering improved, new ways to ensure the safety of astronauts while making scientific progress.

full moons
this is a recap of every full moon i’ve photographed since i started doing astronomy/astrophotography, going on 10 months now i believe (i think i missed one full moon in november 2022)
starting with the lunar eclipse of may 2022
june 2022, had bad seeing here i think
july 2022, i like how the yellow tint looked here
august 2022, not bad seeing there
september 2022, pretty good seeing here too
october 2022, streak of three for good seeing
this is the moon/mars conjunction of december 2022, and coincidentally the first one i took on my nikon Z5 camera at 300mm instead of my dobsonian telescope/phone adapter
i know the telescope has a way higher focal length (300mm on full frame vs 1000mm on telescope) but doing it on my phone just wasn’t reliable, focus was always shaky and also having to move around a 40 pound telescope isn’t fun
first full moon of 2023, brought out slight mineral colors here, but probably could’ve sharpened it a bit more
lastly the newest one, february 2023. i know this isn’t truly full (97%) but the image i took the night before of the actual full moon wasn’t nearly as good (seeing was worse)
did a composite here, of two images exposed longer for brightness, overlaid on the main stacked image that has the detail

🩵🧿🌕 ECLIPSE EVENTS . . .
My throat chakra singing bowl broke today! 🥹 Literally RIP! You can see me using it in videos Ive created over the past 4/5 months. It’s bittersweet b/c although this happened, it’s simultaneously a sign that Ive completed work I needed to do here. This piece was expensive & tuned to 432 Hz! I loved working w it b/c it literally checked your communication & headspace in general so quickly. When i used it I noticed immediate changes! I am grateful for my personal growth & this signal given to me during Eclipse time. Especially with the Eclipse being in Sidereal Virgo, a sign ruled by Mercury - A planet operating heavily in the realm of the Throat Chakra (communication). Working on my throat chakra extensively happened 2022-2024. Ive shared that process and journey publicly as much as I could to inspire others to do the same as it was a part of a spiritual agenda God revealed would elevate our lives. This bowl was helpful, but here’s the gag : most of the healing I did on my throat chakra came from standing & speaking up for myself. Saying no. Asking for help and stop being afraid to say my truth, even if someone doesnt want to hear it. It wasnt an herb, a sound bowl, spell…
I use as many tools as I can, but as a spirit worker it’s my job to tell you guys the truth : the work you have to do cant be avoided through magical tools & aids. It can be assisted & elevated, but you still must make the changes necessary to evolve and heal. Contrary to what it may seem like online, Im very cautious when it comes to what I speak on & how I speak. S/o to my Libra Moon & Virgo Mars. Although this is such a gift, when I must speak on harsh realities and pain.. sometimes I cannot find the words. In times of stress, grief, anxiety and darkness I often lose my voice. This is a response to the childhood trauma of being silenced. As an adult Ive learned my voice is critical to my health & wellness as well as in breaking negative cycles & juju around me. On my most recent video I introduced the Third Eye chakra as the focus of 2024’s healing work. This here is just further confirmation that it's time to move on!

Energy Update: February 2023
February is a "9" universal month [2 (February) + 7 (2023) = 9] in a "7" universal year. The number 9 represents transitions and endings - it encapsulates the idea that "what comes around, goes around": as we finish something, we prepare ourselves to start something new. Nine is a reminder that we need to let go of what no longer serves us to make room for the new. This numerological energy is somewhat out of alignment with the astrological energy of February which is all about (finally) accessing forward progress as we have no planets in retrograde motion for the next three months. This is an indication that for many of us, the work to release the past isn't quite done yet.
The Set Up
We begin the month with our Sun and Saturn in Aquarius, Mercury playing catch-up in Capricorn along with Pluto, Venus and Neptune in Pisces, Mars playing catch-up in Gemini, Jupiter in Aries, and Uranus in Taurus. By the end of the month, the Sun will have moved into Pisces, Mercury into Aquarius, and Venus into Aries. All planets will be in direct motion all month long.
The Nitty Gritty February is going to start out with a bang that may or may not seem fun to you depending on what is going on in your life and how you process conflict. The full moon in Leo will reach its peak on Sunday 2/5 so it may feel a bit like the week of 1/30-2/5 just keeps building and building. There's sure to be a lot of tension in the air. All of the four days prior have intense pricky aspects in play that will all weave together to be brought to a head by egotistical Leo. I say this with all of the fondness in the world (I am a cat lover after all). But anybody who has even met a Leo should know that the Leo full moon of the year is the mooniest of all the moons, or, at least, that's what they would like you to believe. This is the kind of moon that might make you want to throw a party but, to be sure, it's also the kind that will make you want to cry if you want to. Though the Sun sextiles Chiron exactly on 2/1, the Wounded Healer will be very much in play all week long which means that all of our long-standing wounds will be lying close to the surface. Additionally, people aren't going to be getting along - Venus in Pisces will be square to Mars in Gemini whose still caught in his own post-retrograde shadow.
Somebody's not telling the truth.
That part is probably okay; Venus in Pisces lives for the lies and Mars in Gemini wants to see how much he can get away with. Despite the square, these two signs are not that dissimilar from one another. The conflict is a ruse but it's unlikely that anybody will realize that they are fighting about nothing.
Additionally, the Sun and Moon will make a t-square to Uranus who is sitting in the middle of Taurus. This is a week to fuck around and find out - Venus is also sextile to our North Node and the north node plus lunar energy will reactivate our eclipse energy. When we experienced our last set of eclipses, the Sun and Moon were in aspect with Uranus just like the Sun and Moon will be square to Uranus now. Things are going to be volatile.
All bets are off. Some people's lives will be changed. If you don't want that to be you, lay low during the first week of February leading into this upcoming full moon. But if you are ready to go: Go. Just remember to duck and watch your back, Uranus in Taurus is a natural disaster waiting to happen. This Sun-Moon-Uranus t-square is going to activate that Saturn-Uranus square energy that we experienced four times in 2021 and 2022. There's still a lot of energy pent up from the vice that Saturn square Uranus had our world in. Now, finally, it can move forward. Saturn is now far away from Uranus (almost out of Aquarius altogether, that'll happen in March) and we have three months ahead of us with every planet in our solar system in forward motion.
The time is now. (it always is but it really really is, I promise) If the first week of February was about the full moon and our out-of-season eclipse energy, the second week is all about Mercury who is lagging far behind the Sun and Venus as it finishes off its post-retrograde shadow in Capricorn. On Monday 2/6, Mercury will sextile Neptune in Pisces for the third and final time before exiting its shadow on 2/7 and finally meeting up in conjunction with Pluto on Friday 2/10. This is a reunion of old friends- 2022 began with both Mercury and Venus retrograde in a butterfly pattern around Pluto in Capricorn. Whatever has happened since that first Mercury retrograde of 2022, its cycle completes now. Mercury enters Aquarius on Saturday, 2/11. Planetary ingresses always tend to shift energy but this change will likely be even more palpable than normal. Expect people to get chattier for a week as both the Sun and Mercury share the same sign but the sun moves on into Pisces on Saturday 1/18. The third week of February looks to be a bit challenging as the Sun meets up with Saturn in late Aquarius, Venus meets up with Neptune in Pisces, and Mercury activates the lunar nodes. There's a reconning to be had here, but Venus in Pisces has a delicate temperament and may not want to look at the truth. Beware of putting your head in the sand to avoid seeing the truth. Mercury is playing well in sextile to Jupiter so things could work out for you, but you will need to go in with eyes wide open.
This is a week when you may need to pay the piper, whatever that means for you. The new moon on Monday 2/20 shows that the waters of Pisces are going to rise fast. There's pain in the air (Mercury sextile Chiron) but Venus is blazing on ahead into Aries and still not looking. This moon is going to be moody AF. Bring some tissues or maybe a mop. Everybody's gonna get wet. Tuesday 2/21 is a good day for pathworking or trying to beat the odds as Mercury in Aquarius squares off against Uranus in Taurus. Well, a good day if you like a game of chance, anyway. Good luck is not guaranteed. Sometimes that's the point. The rest of the week is soft and squishy as it always is when only the moon makes aspects with the personal planets. Don't expect to get a lot done this week, or perhaps, not a lot done easily. The Sun will make a sextile to the North node on Saturday 2/25, it could be a hint of what's to come if you are open to that sort of possibility. The end of February just fades away like a dream that you can't quite remember.
The Details
2/1 - Sun in Aquarius sextile Chiron in Aries 2/2 - Venus in Pisces sextile North Node in Taurus 2/3 - Sun in Aquarius square Uranus in Taurus 2/4 - Venus in Pisces square Mars in Gemini 2/5 - Full moon 16° Leo 2/6 - Mercury in Capricorn sextile Neptune in Pisces 2/7 - Mercury exits its post-retrograde shadow at 24° Capricorn 2/8 - Venus in Pisces sextile Uranus in Taurus 2/10 - Mercury conjunct Pluto 28° Capricorn 2/11 - Mercury enters Aquarius, Mars in Gemini sextile Chiron in Aries 2/15 - Venus conjunct Neptune 24° Pisces 2/16 - Sun conjunct Saturn 27° Aquarius, Mercury in Aquarius square North Node in Taurus 2/17 - Mercury in Aquarius sextile Jupiter in Aries 2/18 - Sun enters Pisces 2/19 - Venus in Pisces sextile Pluto in Capricorn 2/20 - New moon 01 °Pisces, Venus enters Aries, Mercury in Aquarius sextile Chiron in Aries 2/21 - Mercury in Aquarius square Uranus in Taurus 2/22 - Mercury in Aquarius trine Mars in Gemini 2/25 - Sun in Pisces sextile North Node in Taurus

Full Moon 🌕 Lunar Eclipse in Taurus ♉️
✨You are being guided by the universe towards your REBIRTH!
The Taurus lunar eclipse on October 28 is a celebration of the work you've been doing 👏🏽 the past year and a half, as the North Node in Taurus story reaches a culmination point.
Your work around the Aries / Libra axis is beginning, but firstly, you must commemorate how far you’ve come 🪷 and how much you’ve shifted in the last two years.
Take a moment to celebrate 🙌🏾 how far you’ve come and you look forward to who you’re evolving into during this transformative time.
Your rebirth is coming - and the self you are evolving into 💎 will be your most powerful version yet.
Even though the North Node is in Aries ♈️, this lunar eclipse lands in the sign Taurus, wrapping up where fate has been pushing you since January 2022.
Ask yourself:
✔️ How have you prioritized stability, security and sensuality since this eclipse journey began?
✔️ How have you embraced the Taurus sector of your chart (The House you have Taurus in)?
This full moon 🌕 ties up that ongoing story with a neat little bow, leading to feelings of pride as this lunation conjoins Jupiter 🍀 the planet of luck & abundance.
Admire all of the work you’ve done, and get excited 💓 for the upcoming iteration of your story.
However - there are components to this full moon and the emotions that are surfacing a bit more…messy. The lunar eclipse opposes Mercury and Mars, leading to messages 💬 and 💡 AHA moments coming in hot, and a desire to take action and assert yourself.
The square to ▪️ Pluto - Planet of Transformation, can indicate you are feeling some intense emotions as you process what’s coming up.
Trust that as uncomfortable as the current changes feel, you are being guided by the universe towards your rebirth.✨
It’s time to shift into your most authentic self! 🔆

Bitcoin Update 2/28
Today, we continue the decending wedge formation (bullish)
And we are in a downtrend on the 4. Hour time frame. I have shorts set within that orange band.
Recap 🔮: I expect retracement to prices as low as $21,500. Before continuation upwards. Past $25k bitcoin.
Watch today's astrology update on patreon 📺 (highly recommended).
-=-=-=-
Aspect of the day 🪐
𐓍 ☌ BTC's ♀ (exact on March 7th)
Both are earth planets, so they work well together. And represent the material world. This conjunction gives the energy of exclusivity or inaccessibility. Can bring pessimism regarding bitcon's value. And it's happening on Mar. 7th full moon 🌚 (lows).
♅ is trine to Bitcoin Asc - Opportunities from Financial volatility.
Note: March 30th is looking like an astrologically great period for bitcoin. Especially past its Lunar Return on the 21st ♐
Eclipses of Spring 🌼🌱
The past eclipse of November 2022, marked the collapse of FTX, and the further crash of the price of bitcoin while we were in a consolidation period. The eclipse before that of May 2022, marked the collapse of terra Luna, and a 7 month downtrend in crypto 📉
We have the following eclipses coming up.
Lunar eclipse in scorpio, seems particularly concerning!

Leo Full Moon | Moon Mantra
‘I am empowered in my authenticity, courageously stepping into my sovereignty, and honouring my heart-centre.’
The upcoming Full Moon in Leo is occurring on the 5th February at 18:28 GMT at 16 degrees, and 40 minutes of Leo.
This Leo Full Moon occurs just after the celebration of Imbolc, an Irish Fire Festival and cross-quarter greater sabbat on the Wheel of the Year, which also venerates the Goddess Brigid (or Saint Brigid) and coincides with the Christian Candlemas.
This Leo Full Moon is highly charged, a little chaotic, and potentially overwhelming, with a number of challenging, as well as harmonious aspects in the mix. Notably, all planets are now direct, lending a sense of forward momentum and the pace quickening, which nicely mirrors the Imbolc celebrations.
The Sun in Aquarius and the Moon in Leo make an explosive T-square to Uranus in Taurus, once again echoing the energies we saw at the eclipses of 2022, and the intense and rare Uranus - North Node - Mars conjunction at 18 degrees of Taurus, which occurred between July 28th and August 3rd in 2022, and was activated by the Leo New Moon on July 28th.
Think back to any intentions you set for the Leo New Moon in July, as you may see themes come up for you once again as the Moon comes to its fullness in Leo. Those with planets or points around the mid degrees of the fixed signs may feel this lunation more powerfully than others.
This Full Moon is asking us to look at how far we have come, through changes and upheaval, and how we have been courageous. It’s a time to celebrate ourselves, and truly honour the needs of our own hearts, as well as offering generosity, loyalty and support to others.

A perfect night for a lunar eclipse and a full blood flower moon 💕
Libras today, me:
This is a cosmic moment in time to hold onto what you have instead of your usual style, which is often to give everything. Sharing is caring, but not if it's at the expense of your peace of mind, not to mention your physical security. Speaking of security, this Eclipse may bring a particular material situation to light, forcing you to choose where and how you plan to invest your time, money, or energy. If you look back at the last few months, everything has probably led up to this point, so it's not necessarily a surprise. Perhaps you've also been processing what's valuable and important to you, and now's the time to take responsibility and make these values a tangible reality. Note that to spend time on your passions, you have to first take realistic stock of your resources.
Super full moon, 100% illuminated
The full phase is associated with harvest, celebration and gratitude. Do a gratitude ritual to give thanks for all the existing blessings, gifts, wisdom and experiences in your life. Acknowledge all the things you have manifested so far - if your intentions are still new you may only see small changes, but the power of gratitude combined with the full moon will supercharge your manifestation energy. The full moon amplifies emotional sensitivity, and can bring up intense feelings which can often be overwhelming. A releasing ritual or full moon ceremony will help you to harness this energy and use it to create powerful shifts in your life. However, releasing work should only be done after the moon has reached fullness and has started to wane.
Moon currently in Sagittarius
Sagittarius rules the hips, thighs and sciatic nerve. The hips tend to store emotional tension, which can be released by adding some hip opening yoga poses to your daily routine (search online for a hip-opening sequence that suits you). The wonderfully restorative legs-up-the-wall pose can be done while watching tv or reading, and has a wide range of benefits including relief from sciatica. If you sit for long hours, do it for a few minutes on your work breaks to counter the negative effects of sitting.
Total lunar eclipse
Lunar Eclipses are regarded as deeply transformative, their energy is associated with sudden changes, endings and release. If you need to let go of something that is no longer serving you, now is the time to purge it.

A continuation of my monthly "Care Plan" content created in 2022 channeling Spirit Messages through astrological transits happening. Why would I repost old ass content? Because you can still use it to reference lessons from 2022, time stamp manifestations & conjure new downloads about the present moments you're in....
JULY 2022 :
🦋Pay attention to the weather this month. Pay attention to your bodies (probably won’t have a choice anyways) 💖 We’re six months in. You should know the vibes, but tune in for new things ahead! Jupiter Retrograde in Pisces, Full Moon in Sagittarius and New Moon in Cancer loading
AUGUST 2022 :
Just looking through this Care Plan you can see how much changed astrologically in one month, meaning somethings in life are changing!!!! Summer is moving fast, but don’t miss out on what spirit is trying to show you in your journey. The amazing thing about August is we have new energies we haven’t dealt with in a while and all elements to work with, outside of our lack of air. This could affect communication, but I think we’ll be okay. Honestly Spirit didn’t have much new to say when I sat down to channel these messages… Spirit was quiet 🤫🤐 I don’t know what that means…. But I feel like we’re more than halfway through this year and spirit wants to see what we’re made of. Full Moon in Capricorn at the top of the month, New Moon in Leo and the start of Mercury Retrograde #3 in Sidereal Virgo (just like last year— might wanna review those receipts) finishing things up🔮
SEPTEMBER 2022 :
🪐With Saturn RX in Capricorn, Mars going into Taurus, an abundance of Water from RX Jupiter in Pisces and the continuation of Sidereal Cancer “Season” , August honestly felt like a moment to slow down & assess from the inside-out. As August ended there was a “count your blessings” type energy in the air. August’s energy started off very unsettling & uncomfortable. This could’ve been due to the shift of energies carrying over from large planets fully stationing retrograde in July and Mars in Aries pushing shit out the way before the transit’s end. Aries is a sign that can make people uncomfortable because there’s so much activity going on, so much energy being put out that sometimes its too much to keep up with : which is why August’s channeled message for Aries was “identify the change”. Reminder : July 2022, much like April 2022, was one of our game changer months. Once energies from major shifts of July 2022 got settled in, August revealed itself to be a moment of cleanse and renewal, but required patience & presence for things to continue to unfold. Strides were made in August that changed trajectories individually & collectively. Please sit with that. Guidance on monthly energies are above via channeled messages using SIDEREAL ASTROLOGY. Readings are still available through my #LinkInBio , but my half off sale has ended! September is going to be a very grounding month as all 3 EARTH SIGNS are occupied one way or another! 🪵🍂🪨

Fall is here with lots of astro-events that will correlate to our lives 🤓 We get a small break from Retrograde activity, but then its back to business.. 😤 Eclipses start back happening. Saturn comes out of Retrograde… I feel like its really the end of the month that is gonna switch things up a lot. Watch my IG LIVE CHECKPOINT to hear more about Fall as well as additional messages that may come through 🧡🌕🪐☄️🍁🌾
NOVEMBER 2022 : #October was bittersweet. We move on to #November where we must begin harvesting the lessons of #2022. I can’t believe its almost over! We’re currently in a #Gemini #MarsRetrograde and Jupiter’s turbulent Retrograde in Sidereal Pisces finally ends this month. We start November with a bang 💥 from our Full Moon Eclipse in Aries next week 🙏🏽 I’ll see you 🔜

October is a “7” Universal Month [10 (October) +6 (2022) = 16 = 1+6 =7] in a “6” Universal Year. This will give us a preview of 2023 which will be a “7” universal year. The number “7” is the number most concerned with spirituality and the mysteries which is in alignment with October (the hollows season) and even more specifically THIS October which will feature an eclipse new moon in Scorpio and the start of Mars retrograde. As we move further into the month, the energy will get progressively deeper. Some will like it while others will be very uncomfortable with these energies – it is always wise to remember that how your respond to what happens in your life is up to you – you are the driver of your own experience. October is a month to both take the wheel and give up the wheel – it will take a bit of discernment and attention to know which is in order at any moment in time.
The Set Up
We begin the month with our Sun and Venus in Libra, retrograde Mercury in Virgo, Mars deep in his shadow in Gemini, retrograde Jupiter in Aries, retrograde Saturn in Aquarius, retrograde Uranus and the north node in Taurus, retrograde Neptune in Pisces, and retrograde Pluto in Capricorn. Not that 6/10 planets start the month in retrograde, a sign that the energy signature of October may be dark and murky.
By month’s end, we will have experienced a lot of planetary movement – far more than average for a given month. The Sun, Mercury, and Venus will have entered Scorpio and retrograde Jupiter will have regressed from Aries back into Pisces. Additionally, Mercury, Pluto, and Saturn will have stationed direct and Mars will have stationed retrograde. This shows that things are going to happen rapidly throughout the month of October – that in some ways, life will look very different for many of us by the end of the month.
The Nitty Gritty
There will be no shortcuts through the month of October. The first weekend, 10/1-10/2, will be muddy and unpredictable. On Saturday, Venus (the ruling sign of Libra) opposes retrograde Jupiter in Aries – where Aries is aggressive, Libra wants to compromise. Neither sign wants to give ground here, either. This is further accentuated by the murky energy of Mercury standing still as they prepare to station direct on Sunday. With Venus and Jupiter involved, all eyes may be on love or money. This may be a good weekend to do something daring in a Venusian way (dress up, take in some art, be art) but watch out for overspending.
If you thought that Mercury stationing direct was going to open those closed doors, you may be disabused of this notion as we move into the first week of October. Mercury in Virgo is making a wide square with Mars in Gemini and here you see the strange overlapping wings of their two retrogrades. Here, in Mars’s pre-retrograde shadow, the two planets are square one another as before, during Mercury’s pre-retrograde shadow, they were before. Retrograde Neptune, opposed to Mercury and square to Mars, joins the fray to create a mutable t-square. Don’t expect to get a lot done, this has cosmic “pause” written all over it.
On 10/6 newly direct Mercury trines retrograde Pluto for the third time this retrograde cycle (and the ninth time that the two have made aspects during Mercury’s retrograde cycles this year). On 10/8, Pluto exits its retrograde phase at 26° Capricorn. This point has been important all year long – both Mercury and Venus’s retrograde cycles from January and February radiated out from this point and Mercury has returned to it with each of its subsequent retrogrades all year. Something in our lives, something symbolized by the last degrees of the cardinal earth sign of Capricorn (by house placement or aspect in your natal chart most likely) needs to change. Needs to die so that it can be reborn. Perhaps the pause is here to make space for this undoing.
Notably, this is happening under the waxing light of the Aries Full moon which peaks on Sunday 10/09 at 16°. An Aries moon wants to move but there is a lot here holding us back. Aries’s planetary ruler (Mars) is deep in his pre-retrograde shadow. Saturn in Aquarius and Uranus in Taurus are in a tight square to each other (again). As well as the general, stand still and be in thisness of the energy at large. Aries doesn’t want to sit still. Most Aries don’t even really want to go that deep. And that’s okay – the Aries journey tends to be one of outward exploration. That’s the feel, generally, of an Aries full moon – just know that this time, that feeling may exist but also feel thwarted in some fashion.
This is likely to be a sticky pain point for a lot of people (cardinal types especially) as the full moon will be closely conjunct to Chiron, our wounded healer. Expect some battles over Me versus Us to come up during this time as Aries and Libra’s opposing energies come to a head. It is wise to remember that whatever side you personally fall on this spectrum, your Others have the right to have their own position on it – even if it is one that inconveniences you. Libra season is inevitably a lesson in relationships of all kinds and this energy is dense.
The second week of October should be quieter but, given that two of the three transits of the week are with retrograde Saturn, quite heavy. The Sun in Libra trines retrograde Saturn on Tuesday 10/11 and Venus in Libra trines Saturn on Friday 10/14. Something may be holding us back. Or, looked at from a different perspective, maybe holding us together. In between these two dates, Mercury in Libra makes its final opposition with retrograde Jupiter in Aries as part of its post-retrograde journey – this will push the buttons between Aries’s natural independent spirit and the co-dependent tendencies of Libra. This energy has been a part of our Mercury cycle since August – there are compromises that need to be made but the overall planetary powers aren’t supporting the compromise.
Mercury exits their post-retrograde shadow on Sunday 10/16 which will remove some of the fuel from that fire. Mercury in Libra never WANTS a fight but is always willing to get in one in the name of fairness. Where are the concepts of fairness for everybody coming up in your own life? The third week of October will be more focused on Mars and Pluto (through the lens of our Sun and Venus). Though the Sun and Venus don’t meet up in exact conjunction until Saturday 10/22, they will be moving neck and neck with each other all week long which will add a bit of ease and grace to our everyday lives. Both try hard to get along with Mars in Gemini through a sweet, sweet trine but Mars may be too deep into his shadow to listen. (both signs will meet up with Mars in many aspects throughout its long retrograde cycle so this will be coming up a couple more times over the next couple of months) Any time that Venus and Mars meet up, you can expect intimate relationship situations to rise to the surface of the collective. Libra wants everybody to get along but is not always happy with the way that Gemini seems to want to flit around and flirt with absolutely everybody. Additionally, Gemini is not as willing to compromise as they would like Libra to believe. The Sun meets up in trine with Mars on 10/17 and Venus on 7/18 – these are days to watch out for – they could go very well or very badly depending on the communication skills of yourself and your others.
Additionally. both the Sun and Venus will square off with Pluto in Capricorn on 10/19 and 10/20 respectively. This is going to bring it all back around to Venuses retrograde cycle back in December and January – there we were shown something about how we love, how we are appreciated, and how we go about attracting what we want out of life all need to be revolutionized in some tangible way. Egos may be high – though Libra likes to look calm and collected, they are also known for being highly egoic – especially where their relationships are involved. This is your cosmic reminder to all my Libra babes out there that you need to apologize sometimes, too, and that you actually have to express your desires if you want them to be actualized.
If you know, you know.
That weekend may be a thing. The Sun and Venus meet up on Saturday before transitioning into the sign of Scorpio hand-in-hand the next day. Additionally, Mercury in Libra makes a quick opposition with retrograde Saturn on Saturday. You may have a lot that you want to share with your Others, but this is a Show rather than a Tell sort of weekend. Mercury gets a bit stopped up by stern Saturn and you may find yourself at a loss for words. The energy is going to get dense and deep fast – the first eclipse of the season is merely two days later – so head for the shore if you think that you might get in over your head.
Enter Scorpio season to expose all of our shit. That’s what Scorpios DO, after all. Well, when they’re not secretly collecting it for a later date, anyway. (I saw this with nothing but love in my heart, Scorps, you are my OG so don’t @ me)
Our eclipsed Libra new moon at 02° on 10/25 will be tightly conjunct to Venus. It’s also worth noting Mercury will be both trine to Mars in Gemini (Scorpio’s ancient planetary ruler) and square to Pluto in Capricorn (Scorpio’s modern planetary ruler), and that Mars is deep in its shadow (it will retrograde by week’s end so is basically “standing still” in the sky during this lunar event). For more information specifically about this upcoming eclipse, you can check out this post that I wrote about it.
The cliff notes are that eclipses are points of fate; in this case, the Sun and Moon will meet up with our South Node in Scorpio which represents our backward facing of “past” fate. This means that this lunar event has both the energy of release (presented by the South Node) and bringing in (presented by the new moon). Mercury in Libra trines Mars in Gemini on 10/26. Here we see that their two retrograde cycles are linked in some fashion, perhaps there is a lesson that Mercury needed to learn before Mars could take the actions needed to incorporate it into your life. Finally, Mercury squares off against Pluto in Capricorn on 10/27 which harks back to that first retrograde cycle of the year. What repeat lessons are coming back up? Do they need tending to or are they returning for deeper integration?
Last but not least, Mars stations retrograde on 10/30 at 25° Gemini. This is a part of a bigger Mars cycle that will be in effect for nearly six months. All Aries and Scorpios are in the hot seat during Mars retrogrades since Mars is their planetary ruler and additionally, all Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces who have a personal planet between 08°-25° as you will experience this transit by conjunction, square, or opposition three times as Mars moves back and forth across these degrees. I’ll talk more about Mars retrograde as we get closer but in brief, it is concerned with revising how we act outwardly in the world to get what we want. Things tend to slow down while Mars is retrograde and it there are often roadblocks to getting what you want or starting a new project. Mars will be retrograde until 1/12/23 and won’t exit his post-retrograde shadow until 3/15/23 so this is an energy that is here to stay for a while.
You can see the specific transits by day on my website.
