engineer doesn't get enough love on this blog considering how much I cannot express my devotion to him, so I’m working to fix that :) this is similar to what I did for damien but it took foreverr!! iswm lighting is so so pretty which makes it impossible to get right ;;u;; the saturation is really high and there's multiple light sources so in terms of rendering it, its like it was personally designed to leave me dead on the floor :))))) either way,, I'm happy with how it turned out!! he’s very prettie :))

This whole thing with Amazon barely marketing The Edge of Sleep (if at all) really made me think about how indie projects just. In general are treated pretty poorly by an industry that now more than ever wants to play it “safe”. Stuff that comes from unconventional sources or things that aren’t considered mainstream or high brow enough (animation, musical theater, and yes, independent YouTube creators being some of the ones that come to mind) are either scoffed at or set up to fail UNLESS enough people see it or it’s part of a major franchise people know about (see: Into the Spiderverse).

Masterpieces, great art, great storytelling can come from anywhere and anyone.

But we need to fight for the platform so it can be seen by everyone.

Damien didn’t always need his cane to walk, but it was less conspicuous to always have it and have it seen as an eccentricity, than to only use it when he needed it and be seen as a weak mayor.

This carried over to Dark, who needs the cane more often. It took a while for them to realize that none of the other egos saw them as weak for using their cane.
