The fact of the matter is, as he stands here on the Jeddah circuit, watching Max stand proud and tall on the top step of the podium, he wishes it were him. He wishes that the Monegasque anthem would play instead. He wishes that he was covered in sticky, bubbly champagne. He wishes he could feel as invincible as Max looks. Or perhaps it's none of that, maybe he just wants to stand next to Max on the podium, the Dutchman's hand on his waist while Charles wills himself to soak up some of the glory, albeit second hand. Gotham royalty, Dick Grayson, caught with actress Y/N Y/LN behind the scenes of upcoming movie (3/5/2023 1:52 PM)

For months now, fans have been questioning the mysterious relationship between Dick Grayson and Hollywood’s favorite star, Y/N Y/LN. While this may come as a surprise to some, for most of us, it was kind of expected.

Just this morning, the two were seen outside of the actress's trailer on the set of her upcoming movie. The young actress, most notable for her acclaimed EGOT status, is using the feature film to officially bring and end to her acting hiatus.

For a little over three years now, Y/N has practically shut herself out from the public eye, wanting to take care of personal matters in her life. Insiders report that regardless of her "mysterious health condition", she's back and better than ever!

And of course, despite most of the filming taking place in the heart of New York, the gothamite had no trouble traveling to to visit her on set. Paparazzi spotted the apparent couple looking closer than usual just as Dick was seen leaving her trailer.

Throughout the years, both celebrities have been stuck in the classic "will they, won't they" situationship. We can easily take a quick look at the history of the two when they were introduced to each other through their mutual friend, Kori Anders.

Kori, who also happens to be co-starring in the same film as Y/LN, has noted in the past how much she would love for both friends to get together, saying that:

"I know most people usually don't want their besties to date each other, but I actually wouldn't mind. Dick is a good guy, and he's the kind of guy that Y/N could really use right now..."

On the other hand, Y/N has made it clear in the past that she's not looking for a relationship, wanting to focus on her son, Jonathan, instead. After getting pregnant by her ex (who ended up cheating on her, ouch!), the actress tried to keep her life as private as possible.

Dick, on the other hand, absolutely adores Y/N and her son! Over the course of their decade long friendship, the billionaire has proven to be a prominent figure in the child's life. Even this past March, the eldest Wayne flew both the mother and her little five year old out of the country to vacation with him in Italy.

Even though the celebs constantly try to deny any dating rumors, the proof is in the pudding now! No matter how much they try to defend their so called "friendship", we can't help but love the way they love.

After getting married, I get to call myself a dad to not only my son Johnny, but to my beautiful baby girl Mari as well. Of course, while Johnathan may not be mine by blood, I still love him and his sister as my own. After practically raising him alongside my beautiful wife, there's nothing else I would see him as. These people here are the light of my life and I am forever greatful for it. Love you Y/NN❤️

Hi

I've spent several days weighing upon this absolutely difficult and painful decision. I spoke to my two closest mutuals, to make sure I was making the correct choice. I think I am.

I'm done with writing. As Marie Kondo might say, "this one does not spark joy."

I know what you might be thinking. "Vic, you said you were updating this weekend!" I did. But then, every time I opened up my doc to edit that LOHHNM chapter, I kept thinking about that one anon. I know I shouldn't, but hearing someone say, " [other fanfic author] would definitely write Last of Her House No More/ His Handmaid's Tales better. They would do what you can't," fucking hurts. I know, I know, I know. But my confidence is gone, as embarrassing as that might sound. I've rewritten this damn chapter *three* times because I feel so shitty writing/editing it.

At this point, I just don't want to write anymore.

So i'm not going to pressure myself into doing so. Not right now, anyways. Maybe I'll return in the future, once I regain my spark/motivation/desire. Any writing I do, it will be centered around my OCs; perhaps I'll find more growth during this time.

(I have this totally adorable story in the works, actually. It's an original work and I'm CRAZY for it).

In the meantime, my fanfics will remain posted. My blog will always be open if there is anyone that rereads my writing. I'll still be active too! I'll reblog, comment, answer any dms, etc. I might be done with writing, but definitely not with my sweet moots.

From the bottom of my heart, I thank you all for joining me on this short journey of mine. I'm happy so many liked all my silly stories. I'm truly sorry it has to end like this, and I'm truly sorry that I'm letting so many people down, but I need to put my mental health first. I love y'all. I so truly fucking do.

To all the other HOTD fanfic writers out there, I wish you all the luck in the world <3 so many talented individuals out there. I know this fandom will NEVER lack creativity and good-fucking-food hehe.

Takarazuka Phantom 2004

Wao Youka’s Erik is, to me, remarkably one of the more serious ones compared to the rest of the takarazuka adaptations of phantom. He reminds me a lot of the 1990 phantom film with Charles Dance! How both of them appear so serious but has probably laid out billions of traps around the opera to prank people and can be quite witty. Wao Youka’s Erik is my favorite just because I’m a sucker for that dynamic wherein person A is cold towards everything else except for when it comes to everything about person B. He looks like he’d buy (or steal) a ton of what Christine just off-handedly mentioned she wanted to get once. I absolutely love how there’s a lot of moments wherein Erik just looks lovingly and proudly at Christine and that’s why 2004 has such a special place in my heart.

Out of bias I think that the best Erik and Christine chemistry still goes to 2004. There’s something about the way Hanafusa Mari and Wao Youka acted out on stage that just sits so perfectly with me. Before the climax, the way they’ve interacted on stage just made it seem as though Erik and Christine actually had some mutual feelings towards each other.

While probably unintentional there were several times wherein the characters actually shed a few tears on some really important scenes and I thought that made the performances all the more immersive because you can actually see the deep emotion that they’re feeling on that moment.. like Christine during My True Love :3

Also! For me, it also has the best Alain Cholet! Suzuka Teru gave him so much life, he’s so full of expression and just overall funny.

Takarazuka Phantom 2006

My second favorite Takarazuka Erik is one acted out by Haruno Sumire. To me, her portrayal of Erik makes him twice as angry as Wao Youka’s Erik. I saw him as a ticking bomb, a loser sewer goblin with anger issues. I absolutely LOVED when he shouted at Gerard to leave his lair in anger, because instead of him demanding him in a firm tone to leave, he quite literally SHOUTS at him and that was just (chefs kiss). Instead of full on appearing like a sopping wet dog after his owner left, he just stands there like a pouting little child and that was just hilarious to me. She’s got a bit of that ALW Erik in her.

I decided to put it here since she played both in 2004 and 2006, but I absolutely adore Izumo Aya as Carlotta! When I first watched the 2006 adaptation I didn’t expect to see her there (since it’s a different troupe) but I’ve always loved how she acted out Carlotta with the perfect amount of snarkiness and comedy so its a pleasant surprise!

Takarazuka Phantom 2011

The most hilarious transition from the angriest Erik to the youngest looking and emotional Erik. Ranju Tomu’s Erik looks like the direct descendant of Wao Youka’s Erik but instead of being serious and cold he is just up there on the sog factor. I absolutely love the carmen sabotage in 2011 because it really set the standard to make that moment as chaotic and silly as humanly possible and I’m so in for it; like Erik literally came out of the FLOOR. Ranju Tomu has such a fantastic voice too, not to say every actress who played Erik didn’t (they’re all so amazing), but I felt it to my core whenever she sings. 

His entire character plus the more stoic and cold Gerard of Sou Kazuho makes for such an interesting dynamic. I’ve never seen an adaptation portray him so serious, and I mean that positively:3

Takarazuka Phantom 2018

THE soggiest Erik out of all the takarazuka adaptations. Nozomi Fuuto’s Erik is by far the funniest and most pathetic one yet because of how emotional he is. Everytime something happens to him he just looks like the last panel from that ‘is that your fursona? thats cringe’ meme format. I just absolutely LOVE how miserable he is whenever he’s on stage. He’s always on the verge of crying and that just makes him all the more loveable. The mommy issues on this one is CRAZY! The way Nozomi Fuuto put so much expression into Erik is so cool, it was so clear what emotions he was going through.. even the really complicated ones like confusion and conflict (and most importantly, smitten).

Absolutely love Maaya Kiho as Christine! I just thought that the way she played her was so cute! She was so pretty and she really rocked that feeling that Christine really was just an honest and kind gal with no bad intentions whatsoever.

There’s also the beautiful improvements in costumes and stage effects and it was such a treat to see. Absolutely loved the special rendered intro of the show.

But that’s the end of my little autistic rambling! Thank you for asking, it was such a pleasure! I really can’t rate which is the best because each of the takarazuka adaptations are special in their own way. each adaptation is like the same size of cake on the table for me and im wearing a little bib and holding up my fork and knife

The bulge below his waist presses insistently, uncomfortably, at the seam of his trousers. But it is an afterthought, a mere distraction.

This Verse is one of the most painful things I've written and I adore how it turned out... plus of course @quona bringing it so gorgeously to life in art!!

Covenant Gold didn't know why she'd come that first day. Boredom. Curiosity, maybe. It wasn't just to lure the eyes of pious men or else she wouldn't have made her way to his confessional, filled his burning ears with her filthy secrets. He'd sent her away with a stern admonishment and enough Hail Marys to keep her dirty mouth occupied until the next Sunday service.

And then she returned. Week after week. Another barely appropriate dress, another crimson lipped smile, another session on that wooden bench. Her sweet, liquor-scented voice filling the closed-in space, ripe with new temptations.

This fic poured out of me almost fully formed and I still love the turns of phrase, the poetry turned prose, the simple weight of it... a single but significant moment suspended in time, overflowing with meaning.

Personal Assistance Clara Oswald leaves behind teaching to enter the world of British politics. What better way to make a splash than by working for the infamous Malcolm Tucker? And if discovering a (mutual) attraction happens to catch them both off-guard.... well, that's just life, right?

1. My brother. I have 3 older brothers, but I'm suuuuupper close, like joined at the hip with the one closest in age to me. He's silly and sweet and sassy and a little shit and my best friend.

2. My dog. She's really old and having health problems right now, but she's the dumbest creature alive and I love her to death.

4. I'm religious, and at church, while all the boring adults go to class, I help babysit teach the kids aged 4-11. I play the piano for them while they learn church songs. They are all so adorable and full of life and sass and mischief and watching them never fails to make my day.

5. Music is my life and soul. I sing all the time, to the degree that I don't notice half the time when I start humming or whistling. 1. Are you named after anyone?

No, although my middle name is a family name.

2. When was the last time you cried?

I think a few weeks ago? I watched "Everything, Everywhere, All at Once" and KJBSDFKBJD. Like that movie is such a fun mix of WTF is even going on craziness and contemplating the point of existence and exploring complicated family feelings and the end is weirdly heartwarming--particularly the interactions between the mother and daughter, which is what really got me. And I was watching with one of my best friends and like right after the movie ended he was like "if we were rocks you'd be the googly eyes"--which makes no sense if you haven't seen the movie but that made me cry again because kajdfbksjbf it was so oddly sweet. (Though that was a mixture of hysterical laughter and crying ajsdjfsvjhv in a good way though!)

3. Do you have kids?

nope. maybe one day if i ever get my life together LOL

4. Do you use sarcasm a lot?

idk if it's a lot?? though i'm probably single-handedly responsible for teaching my brother sarcasm (he's 7 years younger than me so when he was learning would have been right as i was entering those peak sarcasm years LOL)

sarcasm is still deeply engrained in me though, and i nowadays when i use it i definitely pay more attention to how people react to it (ie whether they picked up on it) because i tend to deliver it in a very matter-of-fact voice. like, one of my favourite stupid sarcastic comments to make is whenever something weird weather-wise happens i'll be "but thank god climate change is fake, right?" and KJABFDKSJBD i've gotten some WEIRD LOOKS saying that one around ppl who don't know me that well and then i have to explain myself 😭

5. What sports do you play/have played?

i used to figure skate!! my mom was a coach when i was growing up, so i would joke that i lived part-time at the ice rink. it was kind of inevitable 😂. but i was never good at the jumps. i prefered ice dance or synchronized skating (think synchronized swimming but on the ice)

and i also used to play hockey!? very different environment LOL and my hockey teammates would sometimes tease me for showing up to a game in a dress after skating practice on days i had both but it was all in good fun

now...now i really SHOULD do something kajsdkbfsj

happy endings. scary movies don't really freak me out but i guess i just find them sort of...low-reward? i'm not a movie person to begin with because it's hard for me to get invested in the characters in such a short amount of time. with horror movies that's even harder because they're all about shock value instead of getting to know the characters

i am very very good at puns. does that count? 😂

when i have energy/motivation i really enjoy cooking (or baking, but with baking i have to actually measure ingredients and with cooking i just sort of go with the flow). my new apartment is going to have space for a dishwasher--which really is the most exciting thing in my life right now--so i'm hoping that motivates me to cook more!!

12. Do you have pets?

yes!!! i have a ginger cat and her name is Curie (namesake Marie Curie because i'm a proud little nerd like that). I love her she's so stupid and has tried to eat plastic TOO MANY TIMES but every morning and night she will curl up on my chest when i'm in bed and she's just a precious bean

5'5.5 (166cm). but i would have been taller if my spine had known how to grow straight 😔

14. Favorite subject in school?

science!! i had the same science teacher in high school from grades 8-10 (aka the only teacher in the french immersion department who was really qualified to teach it 😂) and i ADORED HER. from day one i was hooked--like she even made syllabus day fun. so i owe my love of science in part to her, really.

in university i realized i liked chemistry best amongst the sciences, so that was my major. and my favourite class i ever took was intro to quantum chemistry (which is really just quantum physics but the math was geared more towards what us chemistry students were familiar with)

15. Dream job?

okay, avoiding the typical "i do not dream of labour" answer...i really don't know. which is a problem. like i genuinely have no idea what i could do long-term that would actually make me happy and i just hope i figure it out at some point akjsdkfsjbd ... I feel like I was not supposed to leave paragraph responses for some of these but akjfkdsjbgd i can admit i like to talk about myself, okay? Anyways! Pleasantview Rotation: I played this family before this blog, so here is a summary of The Burb Family.

Jennifer and John Burb both roll want to have a baby, meet Brandon Burb. He's adorable. He's the perfect mixture of both his parents. Sometimes, I think he looks more like his dad but has his mom's skin tone to a mixture of both. Currently, Jennifer is pregnant with baby number 3. I think they will be done after that; I don't want four kids, lol.

Lilith Pleasant lives with the Burbs I couldn't stand the fighting between her and Angela so I separate them I felt bad at first but she actually doing so much better. She is best friends with Jules O'Mackey. She has a loving girlfriend. Yeah, she is a lesbian. I was going to keep her singles after Dirk Dreamer died, but she became friends with her girlfriend and then had her first kiss. Lastly, she is best friends with her Aunt, Uncle, Grandma, and cousins. She did so much better and will be off to college soon. Her grades improve so too, so she can go to college now

Last but not least Lucy Burb she grew up into a teenager she best friend with cousin the get along so well I didn't expect that. Now that she is a teen, she studies really hard, and she has a massive crush on Alexander Goth; the feeling is mutual,l so we will see what happens there

Daniel had a brief fling with Kaylynn, but it fizzed out, and Kaylnn got pregnant from Don, so she chose Don over Daniel. Daniel and Mary Sue work out their problems and are more in love than ever. Daniel kinda only want Mary-Sue he really didn't want to mess around with anyone else I had ACR on too for cheating on both sides and the both just kept running back to each other. So Daniel's aspiration is popularity now, and Mary-sue and him couldn't be happier. They adopted a baby girl and named her Tara, and Mary-Sue was pregnant and had a baby boy named Frank. Mary Sue's parents, the Oldies, move in to help out, and Mary Sue and Daniel focus on their careers. Herb Oldies is having many affairs. His family doesn't know about any of his affairs, so he hides them well. One of the affairs includes Nina Caliente, so hopefully, she doesn't expose him. Last, Angela actually had a hard time making friends. Nobody wanted to be her friend, and it was the same problem I had with Sandra Roth. They are slowly becoming friends, but Angela has a new boyfriend. She dumped Dustin, and they both fell out of love with each other. Now, she dating one of the custom sims. She loves him, and he is the only person who really likes her besides her family.

Mary x Katrina???

Seriously. I get it doesn’t work outside of the stuff Blue is writing but now I can’t NOT ship them in SOME way.

Mostly because Kat and Ash become friends through their mutual jealousy of Mary and Thomas falling in love and getting together and the two end up doing some self-discovery. But of course, knowing Blue and their favorite tropes I feel like Mary and Kat will likely get together and they have great chemistry too. They become close friends and work together often since Mary is a medium and Kat is a witch who has an affinity to summon demons.

But of course Thomas and Mary being adorable is absolutely heart melting (Same with Toast and Mary tbh. Seeing cute stuff of those two gives me very big feels and I just wanna squish their faces). Conflicting ships my despised </3

Anyway… curious of someone else’s thoughts. ^^

Sorry for the delay— thank you for the update in how the development of Blue’s taleblr-based original story btw I’m excited to learn more— I think that in the context you provided, there could be something interesting there! I don’t want a cute relationship to be broken up (Thomas and Mary deserve to be happy if they’re that teeth-rottingly adorable,,) but I’m sure there’s a way to make it work without relationship-ending drama! Even if that just includes Kat and Mary being the closest besties to ever bestie.

Sadly, while I KNOW people who could have a successful Katrina/Mary ship, it wouldn’t work with my own interpretation of the characters. My version of Katrina dies pretty young (like. 16 at the oldest)— something I’m considering revising because as it stands now, I kinda fridged her— and actually doesn’t stick around as a ghost, she moves on peacefully. I know that if I ever want to mess with her, I could have her brought back the same way Maxwell was (in my interpretation of the characters). But with that being said, Mary lives well into her adulthood which is obvious because she did get married.

Honestly, I think the only problem here is that my version of Katrina and Mary are underwritten and underdeveloped outside of the base information. I need to put more work into them ^^;
