There'll be peace when you are done - are you done? | @brainfuzz Rating: General Word Count: 3,216 Main Tags/Warnings: Post-Finale, Post-Episode: s15e20 Carry On,Post-Canon Fix-It,Fix-It Summary: Like most fans, I thought the final episode was terrible. I also thought were gaps that made no sense, and not just the missing people (who was Sam's wife, really), but gaps in the story. The biggest gaps for me were the “find anything? Yeah I got something” leading to a pie festival, which somehow abruptly turned into a vampire clown clownpires, clowpires? hunt, with no explanation of how that happened. So, I figured it out. And fixed the ending so it made sense all at the same time.

But when Dean is mortally wounded on a hunt, that simple directive becomes impossible for Castiel to follow, so he does what he does best and rebels, returning to earth to save Dean. But life on earth after Chuck is more complicated than any of them could have predicted. Dean retreats from the world, Castiel struggles to meet Jack’s expectations, and Castiel’s deathbed confession still hangs unresolved between them. They are free now, but having freedom and knowing what to do with it are two different things. After years of trauma and pain, learning to make a different kind of choice—a kind that will allow them to heal—is easier said than done.

As for Cas? Well he's Cas! Probably didn't even know what his dick was for before Metatron stole his Grace. But Metatron did steal his Grace. Cas is human now. And Dean certainly knows what his dick is for. Sometimes a relationship doesn't start with flowers and a boombox held on your shoulder outside your crush's bedroom window. Sometimes it starts with a homicidal Angel, a failed date, and arguing in a storm.

Jesus | Blinded To The Truth | Platonic
Dialogue prompt: “You really like making things difficult.”
Requested: Yes
After inviting you to listen to His meditation at Synagogue, your childhood Friend Jesus makes the boldest of claims.
“Hey, you’re cheating!”
“I am doing no such thing!” you quip, throwing the small ball towards Rafi in the hopes he will not catch it–
–He catches it with his left hand and you huff, preparing yourself to get it hurled back at you in return. However, Rafi tosses it with a firm movement of his arm towards Jesus, Who misses it by a hair. The ball falls to the grass and Rafi cheers, causing you to roll your eyes. Aaron lets out a sigh of defeat.
“I win!” Rafi exclaims.
You place a hand on your hip. “Fine, you win. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I am going to get myself some snacks to comfort myself at this incredible loss.”
“Nah, (Y/n), you are just being sarcastic now even though I know quite certainly that you are upset.”
“I’m not! It’s Rosh Hashanah, I will not allow myself to sulk over something like a game.”
Jesus chuckles at your response and runs a hand through His hair, sighing deeply. “You did better at this game than I did, (Y/n),” He reassures you. You smile at your childhood Friend, Who heads over to you. “I will join you for that comfort snack, okay?”
You nod in agreement and both of you head for the nearest platter of sweet treats. You scoop a whole load of honey onto a slice of apple and give it to Jesus. He thanks you with a word of gratitude and waits for you to get one for yourself as well.
“Hey,” Jesus begins as the pair of you bask in the sunlight, enjoying the fruit. “I am going to give a Torah reading tonight at the synagogue. Would you like to attend as well? You’re a good friend of Mine, so I would appreciate it if you were to–”
“Of course!” you say without hesitation, “I knew that You were a Rabbi now. Your mother told me about Your ministry.”
Jesus hums. “I don’t think she told you all of it.”
You frown in puzzlement. “What do You mean?”
The Nazarene gives you a look. “You’ll see.”
Trusting Him enough to not ask, you decide to not press any further.
“Time for a rematch?” you suggest, nodding at Lazarus and Rafi, who are still gloating in their victory.
Jesus nods in agreement, polishing off the honied apple. “Let’s go.”
_
In spite of the heat outside, the synagogue is cool and dark, apart from some light drifting in through the small windows above. The village of Nazareth has gathered and you’ve taken a seat with two women who introduced themselves to you as Martha and Mary, whom you’ve started to mingle with in anticipation of Jesus’ reading. You’re curious to see what He will choose to read.
The crowd’s chatter falls silent when Rabbi Benjamin walks up to the pulpit and stretches his arms in a way to lead everyone into prayer. You bow your head and close your eyes.
“Blessed are You Lord our God, King of the universe. Who has kept us alive and sustained us for another year. Who bestows kindness, restores and redeems. Praise to You, Adonai our God, sovereign over creation. Who has chosen us from all the peoples. May Your blessings be all who seek You earnestly. Bring joy to Your land and gladness to Your city. In Your mercy, bestow on us a prosperous year, a bountiful harvest, and the promised arrival of Meshiach. Your anointed One, the Son of David.”
The congregation replies with an agreeing ‘amen’ as the sound of the shofar fills the room in a few quick puffs of noise. Goosebumps litter your skin at the sound like it does to you every time, and you smile, watching Jesus across the room.
“Thank you for the call to repentance and rest.” Rabbi Benjamin comments. “And now, for the reading and interpretation we have with us Jesus bar Joseph. He was one of my students in Torah class and we’ve heard reports–” he turns to Jesus, “Some of them very positive, of His rabbinic journeys.” Jesus and Lazarus chuckle a bit, “Jesus.”
Jesus heads for the pulpit and smiles. “Thank you, Rabbi Benjamin. Ah, please.” He gestures for the person carrying the scroll to lay it out for Him.
“You know, it’s not easy to share in front of Nazareth’s most pre-eminent Rabbi, but I will do My best. And I’m certain that if I miss a word or two, one of you at least will speak up, huh?”
A few of the men make sounds of agreement, Lazarus leaning against a pillar with his arms crossed. “Oh, don’t worry.”
“I wonder who it will be,” Jesus murmurs in amusement before turning to the scroll.
“A reading from the scroll of the prophet Isaiah.” Jesus announces, then lifts His eyes upwards for a few silent seconds. He unfurls the scroll and takes the yad to point at the text He is reading to follow along.
“The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me. Because the Lord has anointed Me to bring good news to the poor. He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted; to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight of the blind. To the opening of the prison for those who are bound; to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favour.”
With bated breath, you watch as He steps away from the scroll and rolls it up, handing it back to the assistant before taking a seat in the chair placed in the middle of the room. For a moment, He locks eyes with Lazarus, then with you, until He opens His mouth to speak.
“The fulfilment of this Scripture as you have heard it is today. This is the year of the Lord’s favour. This is a year of jubilee. A year the poor, the brokenhearted, the captive and the blind are offered redemption.”
Your heart stutters inside your chest. Are you hearing this correctly?
Rabbi Benjamin’s posture stiffens.
“Here. Now.”
Jesus pauses for a few moments, and Lazarus speaks up. “We are here with You,” he remarks, “Keep going.” He seems just as interested in Jesus’ words as you are. “Not bad for a carpenter’s son, yes?”
You cannot fight the small laugh that escapes you, and Rabbi Benjamin gives you a sharp look.
“I mean, especially Joseph…” Lazarus continues, “May he rest in peace…”
Rabbi Benjamin has a stern look on his face when he speaks up.
“Jesus, please explain why You stopped the reading before Isaiah spoke of the day of vengeance of our God? Especially during a time of such oppression.”
A few silent moments as you keep your gaze focused on Jesus, anxious what He will say. You have never heard this interpretation before, and you’re only hoping that Jesus will not say anything that could get Him in trouble.
“The day of vengeance is in the future. I’m not here for vengeance. I’m here for salvation.”
Rafi and Aaron’s brows furrow, as does Rabbi Benjamin’s. “You’re here for salvation?” the Rabbi mutters, “What are You saying?”
Over her shoulder, Mary looks at you with a delighted look on her face. Your expression resembles confusion as your heart hammers inside your chest. “It’s Him…” Mary whispers, “He is trying to say that He is… You know…”
You swallow thickly. Thinking of the rumours that have been going around about Jesus, and now… Could He be…
“You know what I am saying.”
Your heart skips a beat.
“And this year of jubilee, this year of the Lord’s favour, is not about release from financial debts. I’m here to provide release from spiritual debt.”
“We are the chosen seed of Abraham.” Benjamin darkly sounds, “We don’t have spiritual debt!”
Jesus purses His lips and looks away.
“Jesus,” Aaron starts. “We’ve been hearing about the signs and wonders, and now this? Are You claiming to be more than a Rabbi? More than even the Baptiser?” Aaron has the exact same question as you.
The room is tense and you lean closer towards Him, not wanting to miss a single word.
“No doubt one of you will quote me the Proverb; ‘Physician, heal yourself’. The things we heard You did in Capernaum and in Syria, do here in Your hometown, yes?”
“Why not?”
“I get it.” Jesus counters. “It’s always easier to accept hard truths and even greatness from strangers than from those you know well, especially those you knew as awkward teenagers or even as adults as some of you saw earlier today. Laz here would make a more believable prophet.”
You grin as the two chuckle, until Jesus’ smile falls.
“But this brings up an important truth. No prophet is acceptable in his hometown.”
Around you, people start to mutter amongst themselves.
“Be careful with what You call Yourself.” Benjamin growls.
“This should be easy to prove!” Aaron says, “Dinah and Rafi, you say you saw it, yes?”
Rafi nods. “Yes! Yes, we saw it, but… He did not claim this…”
“A true prophet from Adonai would not deny His own people signs and wonders.”
Jesus takes a sharp breath. “Listen carefully. When a great famine hit Israel during the days of Elijah. Three years and six months. There were many widows, yes? And we know how the Father cares for His chosen people, especially widows. But Elijah was sent to none of them… Not one.”
You drink in every single word He says, your mind spinning with questions and clarity at the same time.
“Instead he was sent to a widow in Sidon, in Zeropath. A Gentile woman. Martha, what happened?”
Jesus turns to her and for a moment, He locks eyes with you. It is as if He can read your mind - your soul - and He nods. He nods to answer the question bouncing around in your skull, and you have to prevent yourself from gasping.
“She gave up her last flour and oil for one more cake and gave it to Elijah.”
“Why would she do that?”
“Elijah told her the Lord said to do so.”
Jesus turns back, “Yes. The Lord said that He would make it so that her flour and oil would never run out. And she believed. A pagan Gentile in a pagan land. And she was hungry enough to know that she needed God and to obey Him. And so, God sent Elijah to multiply our food forever.”
He shortly pauses to let the words sink in.
“What about Elisha, and Naaman? There were many lepers in Israel during this time, but none of them were cleansed except Naaman. Only a Gentile, a Syrian soldier and enemy of the Lord’s people. But he was so desperate, he trusted Elisha, and his leprosy was cleansed.”
The tension in the synagogue rises with every word that falls from His lips, and your throat runs dry at the expression many hold on their faces; deep, unadulterated offence.
“You may be the chosen seed of Abraham, you may be the people of the covenants, but that will not bring you My salvation.” Jesus’ eyes are shimmering with both sadness and persistence, “If you cannot accept that you are spiritually poor and captive, in the same way that a Gentile woman and a Syrian leper recognised their need–”
He pauses, the words getting stuck in His throat as He pinches together his fingers to emphasise the message. Across the room, you see Aaron shake his head slowly, and Rafi’s expression is conflicted.
“If you do not realise that you need a year of the Lord’s favour… Then I cannot save you.”
You can hear a pin drop as the hostility in the room advances, your heart almost leaping out of your chest in fear as Aaron slowly stands, his brow knit together in rage.
“Who do You think You are?!” His voice drips with malice.
“This is what Hannah talked about.” Martha says in front of you, making your chest tight with anxiety for His safety. “That He even called Himself the Messiah!”
Rabbi Benjamin takes a step in Jesus’ direction. “Are You claiming to be the Messiah, or are You merely claiming to speak for the Lord as a prophet?”
Jesus, turned away from the Rabbi at first, slowly pivots in His seat.
When He opens his mouth to answer, your face pales.
“Yes.”
For a moment, you lock eyes with Lazarus, who looks from you to his sister Mary, who has a certain sparkle in her eye that makes you convinced that she believes, too.
And so do you.
Something within your spirit puts you on edge in a way you have never experienced before. It reels inside your gut in a strange way, as if everything in your soul is teetering on the edge of interfering, but that same spirit holds you back from doing so, convinced that He knows how to handle this all.
“You are a false prophet!” Benjamin accuses.
Mother Mary gasps in shock and you put a hand on her shoulder to comfort her immediately. Lazarus reaches over to put a hand on the elderly Rabbi’s shoulder. “Woah, that is quite a thing to say! Jesus, maybe we should leave.”
Aaron interrupts: “Lazarus, you’re His friend, you cannot be involved! You know what the law of Moses says–”
“We are all His friends, Aaron,” Lazarus counters. “We cannot say things like this!”
“Jesus, stand up at once!” Benjamin orders, but Lazarus tries to fan the flames.
“Rabbi, please. Rafi, come with Jesus and me, we will leave, and you can all continue the service.”
Slowly, Jesus rises from the chair.
Rafi clearly draws his own conclusions. “Rabbi Benjamin has asserted false prophecy and I cannot argue it.”
Lazarus will not have any of it. “You said you saw the miracle!”
“He’s saying only He can save us!” Rafi bites.
“He did not use those words–”
“–It’s what I meant.” Jesus quips, earning Him a glare from Lazarus.
“Jesus, you’re not helping!” Lazarus pleads.
Deciding to intervene between your bickering childhood friends, you stand and make your way down to them. “Rafi, are you deaf? And blind? Have you not heard the stories of the miracles? Have you not tasted the wine?”
Aaron scoffs. “Those are just rumours! You’ve got no evidence, and people can say whatever they want. As long as enough people tell the same story, you’d believe anything, wouldn’t you, (Y/n)? Always so gullible…” He shakes his head almost pitifully.
You let out a noise. “And you, not even considering the words of a Man you know to be trustworthy, even though He makes things so clear right now! You really like making things difficult!”
Jesus puts a hand on your shoulder and you turn to Him. He smiles at you softly, His gaze containing a certain kind of warmth that fills you with rest. It is the briefest of moments, but intense nevertheless.
Rafi points a finger at Jesus, breaking the moment of eye-contact. “He’s saying we are not the Holy One’s chosen!”
“Now, He did not say that!”
Rabbi Benjamin’s voice is like ice, full of fury, unlike anything you've ever heard before. It makes the hairs of your neck stand on end. “In words, the book of Moses; ‘But the prophet who presumes to speak a word in My Name that I have not commanded him to speak, that same prophet shall die.’...”
As Lazarus leans closer, he lowers the volume of his voice. Jesus’ mother seems distraught and anxious. “Rabbi Benjamin, I beg of you… Not this…”
“Lazarus,” Jesus calmly hums, “It’s fine…”
“Jesus they’re going to–” Jesus leans closer to His friend and whispers something in his ear for a few moments. As soon as He pulls back, Lazarus stares at Him rather nervously.
“Yes?” Jesus acknowledges, and Lazarus reassures Him.
Before you can speculate, Lazarus locks eyes with you, and nods towards Jesus’ mother Mary, whose eyebrows are furrowed in fear of her Son’s safety. You immediately understand the hint, rushing over to her and crouching down to take her hand in yours. She gives you a grateful glance, but it soon focuses back to her Son, Whose safety she so desperately fears.
“Jesus…” Benjamin utters, “If you do not renounce Your words, we will have no choice but to follow the Law of Moses…”
You can hear your own blood rush inside your ears as the strain within the synagogue reaches its breaking point. The Messiah steps closer to the Rabbi, His eyes filled with heartache.
When Jesus speaks, it is the straw that breaks the camel’s back:
“I AM the Law of Moses.”
Benjamin staggers back, gasping in indignation. Before you can truly process what is going on, Jesus is grabbed into His tunic by Rafi and Aaron, who shove Him towards the exit. They yank off the tallit that is still draped over His shoulders and Mary reaches out. You can barely hold her back to keep her from harm, but Lazarus soon assists you.
Before He is pushed outside, Jesus has a moment of intense eye-contact with His mother, but then, He is forced out.
As Jesus is led out of the synagogue by the angry mob, Mary starts to sob. You can barely look at what is happening, your entire being frightened and shaking, but you cannot follow the crowd to see if there is a way to save Him. All you can do is comfort His mother, who accepts your embrace as you pull her into your arms. Her form trembles in agony.
“Jesus promised that He’d be alright,” Lazarus reassures both His mother and you as everyone pours out of the synagogue, “We will meet Him after sundown on the outskirts of Nazareth, where His father is buried. Mary, you know the place, right?”
Slightly calmed by the words, Mary nods meekly, but her demeanour remains distraught. And who could blame her? Although she trusts that her Son’s word is true, and that He will be alright, a mother’s instinct is ever so strong.
“It will be fine, Mary,” you whisper, yet still filled with questions. “Is this all true? Is He truly the Messiah?”
Mary nods, her lips trembling as fresh tears brim on her eyes.
“He is.”
Your mind spins with everything you feel in this very moment - confusion, happiness, relief, fear. “Then why do they not accept Him? I don’t… I don’t understand. The signs and wonders…”
Mary slowly shakes her head, sniffling a bit, seemingly calming down. “I do not know,” she whispers, “But what I do know is to trust Him on His word.”
“Always, Mary,” you reassure her, “Always.”
You remain in the synagogue until the sun has fully set.

Conner has done a great job of explaining how and why Jesus apeared to be a sorcerer or magician, as well as shedding light on one of the major reasons the Pharisees were perecuting him. Having spent time in Egypt, land of Egyptian Magick, where he also met Mary Magdalene, a Temple Priestess in the huge Alexandrian church (run by John the Baptist no less), he returned to his homeland (after spending 20 years in Egypt) where he had learned some basic tricks of the Magicians there. Jesus was not a sorcerer per se, it is just that the way he did his miracles looked like the way the Egyptian Magicians did it -- spitting (twice according to Mark) to give the blind man sight -- would not The God just speak the healing, or touch the man's forehead... why spit in the dirt? This is all better explored and exapanded on in Hegland's book Anunnakki Endgame III which goes into the backstpry of Jesus, Mary, John the Baptist, Paul and the creation of the New Testament (NT). Hegland also shares that he had the advantage of a Jewish Rabbi to explain scenarios in the NT and the Wedding at Cana is a real surprise. Key to the whole overall backstory is what the Piso Family in Rome was up to, and unfortunately Conner is not (yet) aware of that side of the story, but Hegland exposes it and connects the dots. You really need both Connor's and Hegland's books to get the whole picture... one expands the other.
‘Jesus the Sorcerer’ gets a ‘5’ just for putting ‘Jesus’ and ‘Sorcerer’ in the same sentence and title while being one of the very, very few to step into the huge footprints of Morton Smith (‘Jesus the Magician’). Conner doesn’t just repeat Morton’s focus on the pagan and Jewish witness of Jesus but rather does a better job on all the contemporary historical-critical issues of the New Testament ( a la Bart Ehrman) as well as a more complete comparison with the Greek magical papayri. Conner even extends his analysis to Paul who he dismisses as “concerned only with convincing”, Clement of Alexandria and Origen who admitted to keeping secrets, and early church theologians who were busy cursing their opponents (in good Egyptian magical tradition).
The book also gets a ‘5’ for its comprehensive and insightful Greek scholarship. The Jewish trial accusations against Jesus of “deceiver” and “imposter” are easily decoded as “sorcerer” as well as the accusation in Luke of “perverting our people”. The Spirit descending “on” Jesus like a dove is re-written in Matthew and Luke as “upon” so as to not give the impression Jesus is channeling or being ‘adopted’ at that point. Conner explains insightfully that the ‘Beloved Disciple’ who is “lying against Jesus” often translated in his “bosom” actually can refer to being in his “lap”.
Conner also gets a ‘5’ for his superb scholarship. His footnotes are as long as his chapters, however his chapters are mercifully short. He easily makes the overall point that there is virtually no difference between magic (which he succinctly defines as ‘religion that works’) and Christian prayer, exorcism, miracles, casting lots for the replacement of Judas, and using ‘black magic’ against their opponents. He notes that Luke screwed up using the “finger of God” phrase since it goes back to magical papyri and sorcerer opponents of Moses. Magical techniques Jesus used most often referenced in Mark are using spit, groaning, looking up to the sky, using special words of power, and dramatics. He insightfully recognizes that the power of Jesus was magical in that it had no moral or personal quality to it since it adhered to his very clothing—and, later the same idea transferred into the veneration of relics. He also perceives that Paul really had an adoptionist theology. Jesus was “appointed” son of God at the Resurrection using several quotes from Romans and Acts.
Conner even ventures into the area of Secret Mark and makes a great case that its depiction of Lazarus being roused out of the tomb and spending the next six days with Jesus in the home of Lazarus before a secret initiation was the original Mark with the current versions in Mark and the Gospel of John being the cover-up. Conner also makes a decent argument that Lazarus is the ‘Beloved Disciple’ of John but does not convince me since the same circumstantial argument could be made for Mary Magdalene who he unfairly consigns to the second century rumor bin.
The book is a worthy companion to ‘Jesus the Magician’ but its biggest failing is taking modern scholarship too seriously in portraying Jesus as a failed end times prophet and keeping Gnosticism at arms-length in the second century. Paul was actually the end-times prophet and his Herodian family and friends who penned the four Roman gospels followed his lead. Jesus was actually a mystery school teacher who taught soul travel as one can see clearly from the Dialogue of the Savior that scholars agree is first century material. The Gospel of Thomas is obviously a crypto-gnostic work of the first century as well since the Gospel of John was so clearly written to counteract it by embarrassing Thomas, saying that you can’t follow Jesus in soul travel, and that all one has to do is believe in the new Logos theology. A 2014 book called ‘The Lost Gospel’ also does a scholarly job of fixing the allegory of ‘Joseph and Asenath’ in the first century as a Jewish-Christian gnostic work about Jesus and Mary Magdalene. All these issues are covered in my book of 2013 on Amazon called ‘The Samaritan Jesus’.

spn s4 spoilers
spn s4 ep1(lazarus rising)
well, Dean is not in hell. ı watched the first 3 seasons as fast as I could. so that I could see cas. I know him from clips I see on the internet. and I was looking forward to meeting him and seeing his relationship with the Winchesters. ıt is already funny.
Dean thinks he doesn't deserve saving. he deserves the best always. he deserves every good thing in the world.
spn s4 ep3(in the beginning)
wow. mary is a hunter. mary's parents are hunters. john was kind. this ep broke my heart. dean and Mary's conversation🥹. Dean's reactions are very funny when Cas suddenly comes to Dean. I love it. well yellow-eyed demon returned. but not in the way I thought he would. mary made a deal. and she didn't even talk about it with John. why? I know she wanted a family blah blah blah she could've prepared them for what going to happen. sam and Dean are hunters because of her. john turned the way he did because of her. She could've done something but she didn't as far as ı know for now. ıdk what she could've done but still, I don't think what she did was okay.
spn s4 ep4(metamorphosis)
I wish I could just say Dean was right. if only it was that simple but both Dean and Sam were right. sam is saving people I hope he won't lose himself. and Dean is worried about his little brother as always. sam lied to Dean and he doesn't know why he lied to him either.
spn s4 ep6(yellow fever)
Dean… even when he is scared he is so cute. and he is trying to be brave for his brother. I love him so much. this ep was so funny. ilovehim ilovehim ilovehim… dean is right they are insane but that's why I love them they are still doing this job to save people. eye of the tiger bts was perfect I love Jensen Ackles so much.
spn s4 ep7(it's the great pumpkin, sam winchester)
Did I mention I love Dean? Of course, I did. and I'll say it again and again. well, again both Dean and Sam are right. I thought angels would be different. sam tried to do things Dean's way. I hope Dean knows that. cas is kinda good. I like him. dean has so much on him and I hope he can handle it and will be alright.
spn s4 ep8(wishful thinking)
Dean remembers everything. I am gonna cry now thx. I thought he remembered parts of it not all of it. 40 years in hell… I can see the pain in his eyes. I love Dean I love Jensen. he is so strong he is trying to hide this but we can see it.
spn s4 ep10(heaven and hell)
I wish I couldn't feel anything, Sammy. I wish I couldn't feel a damn thing. dean
spn s4 ep14(sex and violence)
I love Bobby. he saved the Winchesters again.
spn s4 ep16(on the head of a pin)
dark Dean. I am scared a little bit. Sam, what are you doing? heaven is right to be afraid of Sam. he is dangerous. He wants to do the right thing but idk it feels wrong. Ruby scares me. I like her but I am not entirely sure she is good. sometimes I wonder why is she helping the Winchesters. I know she said her reasons but idk. I don't like Uriel. I like Anna. Now, I hate Uriel. but he is kinda right humans suck(not all of them of course but most). bad things always happen to Dean. I hate it. It's you Dean you're going to save everyone. you will.
spn s4 ep17(it's a terrible life)
It would be terrible if Winchester's life were like this. they don't know each other. they're living normal lives. I knew the website was ghostfacers'. well, they were useful. Zachariah is right. I like him. being a hunter is in Winchesters blood. they are meant to be like this.
spn s4 ep18(the monster at the end of this book) I need those books. cas I love you. Zachariah why? they should know what is going to happen.
spn s4 ep19&20(jump the shark&the rapture) well, I finally met Adam. I saw him on the internet earlier and I saw people hating John. I don't hate him, yet. Dean and Sam don't hate him. yes, Dean and Sam deserved a normal life but Mary died they are not normal Sam has demon blood in him. They would probably be dead if John didn't raise them the way he did. yes, John could've done better. he could've been there for them. instead, he was obsessed with revenge. But in the end, he gave up his desire for revenge and prioritized his sons. and I still love him for it. I hope he won't do anything bad in next season. he did try to give a normal life to Adam and I think it was nice of him to try.
poor Jimmy. Sam's demon blood obsession is getting out of hand. he looked like a vampire. I hope he will get better. I am glad Bobby and Dean got him. hopefully, they'll be able to help him. Why is Cas acting rude to Dean?
spn s4 ep 21(when the levee breaks) I don't want to hate Sam but he is pushing my limits. he almost killed Dean. spn s4 ep 22(lucifer rising) at least Sam knows he is wrong. angels are corrupt too. Cas I love you. you're doing the right thing. sam became a demon, amazing. ruby what, why? yes, sam. ruby is dead but in the end, lucifer is free. apocalypse is no one's fault but some of the angels. it's not Dean's fault or Sam's it's some of the angels. it is not looking good.

SAINTS&READING: WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 30, 2024
october 17_october 30
HOLY MARTYRS AND UNMERCENARIES COSMAS and DAMIAN IN CILICIA (4th c.), AND THEIR BROTHERS LEONTIUS, ANTHIMUS, AND EUTROPIUS.
The Martyrs and Unmercenaries Cosmas and Damian in Cilicia (Arabia), and the Martyrs Leontius, Anthimus, and Eutropius. The holy brothers Cosmas and Damian were physicians in Arabia, who believed in Christ. They traveled through the cities and the villages, preaching Christ and healing the sick. The saints would not take any sort of payment for the help they rendered. In Cilicia, pagans seized the holy physicians and led them before the governor, Lysias. Since they refused to renounce Christianity, the governor ordered the saints to be brutally beaten and then cast into the sea.
An angel of God rescued them from the sea and brought them to shore. Then the pagans beheaded the saints and three other Christians: Leontius, Anthimus, and Eutropius.
The Unmercenary Saints Cosmas and Damian of Arabia should not be confused with the Unmercenary Saints Cosmas and Damian of Asia Minor (November 1), or the Unmercenary Saints Cosmas and Damian of Rome (July 1).
TRANSLATION OF THE RELICS (898) OF St LAZARUS "OF THE FOUR DAYS IN THE TOMB", BISHOP OF KITION ON CYPRUS.
The Transfer of the relics of Righteous Lazarus of the Four Days, Bishop of Kiteia on Cyprus, took place in the ninth century. The Righteous Saint Lazarus, the brother of Martha and Mary, lived in the village of Bethany, not far from Jerusalem. During His earthly life, the Lord Jesus Christ often visited the house of Lazarus, whom He much loved and called His friend (John 11:3,11), and when Lazarus had died and lain four days already in the grave, the Lord raised him from the dead (John 11:1-44). (The Church remembers Saint Lazarus on the Saturday of the Sixth Week of Great Lent, “Lazarus Saturday.”)
Many of the Jews, when they heard about this, came to Bethany. Being persuaded of the reality of this most remarkable wonder, they became followers of Christ. Because of this the High Priests also wanted to kill Lazarus. Righteous Lazarus is mentioned in the Holy Gospel once more: when the Lord had come again to Bethany six days before the Passover, Lazarus was also there (John 12:1-2, 12:9-11). After his raising, Saint Lazarus lived another thirty years as a bishop on the island of Cyprus, where he spread Christianity and peacefully fell asleep in the Lord.
The holy relics of Saint Lazarus were discovered in Kiteia. They were in a marble coffin inscribed: “Lazarus of the Four-Days, the friend of Christ.” The Byzantine emperor Leo the Wise (886-911) ordered the transfer of the relics to Constantinople in 898 and their placement within the church of the Righteous Lazarus.

Philippians 1:12-20
12 But I want you to know, brethren, that the things which happened to me have actually turned out for the furtherance of the gospel, 13 so that it has become evident to the whole palace guard, and to all the rest, that my chains are in Christ; 14 and most of the brethren in the Lord, having become confident by my chains, are much more bold to speak the word without fear. 15 Some indeed preach Christ even from envy and strife, and some also from goodwill: 16 The former preach Christ from selfish ambition, not sincerely, supposing to add affliction to my chains; 17 but the latter out of love, knowing that I am appointed for the defense of the gospel. 18 What then? Only that in every way, whether in pretense or in truth, Christ is preached; and in this I rejoice, yes, and will rejoice. 19 For I know that this will turn out for my deliverance through your prayer and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ, 20 according to my earnest expectation and hope that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ will be magnified in my body, whether by life or by death.
Luke 9:44-50
44 Let these words sink down into your ears, for the Son of Man is about to be betrayed into the hands of men. 45 But they did not understand this saying, and it was hidden from them so that they did not perceive it; and they were afraid to ask Him about this saying. 46 Then a dispute arose among them as to which of them would be greatest. 47 And Jesus, perceiving the thought of their heart, took a little child and set him by Him, 48 and said to them, "Whoever receives this little child in My name receives Me; and whoever receives Me receives Him who sent Me. For he who is least among you all will be great." 49 Now John answered and said, "Master, we saw someone casting out demons in Your name, and we forbade him because he does not follow with us." 50 But Jesus said to him, "Do not forbid him, for he who is not against us is on our side."

*Real Dating App Experiences.* "The Historian."
Man Age 36, likes: Ambition, Philosophy, intelligence & Hip Hop.
Me age 22, likes: Genealogy, History, Theology, Writing, Cleaning.
Man: I'm into tech, history, science. I see on your dating profile your into genealogy. would you like an interesting rabbit hole to get stuck down?
Me: Well I have a few already but I'm always open to hearing more.
Man: I'm not a super religious person but looking into how Jesus of Nazareth, Mary Magdalene and Peter the great were actually the children of Cleopatra the 7th featuring Julius Caesar 😉 it's a good one. And is ridiculously fascinating to ponder on.
Me:
I AM NOT A HISTORIAN NOR PRETEND TO BE it's just- Sir....there's a lot to unpack here but...here's something for certain-
Jesus of Nazareth, Mary of Magdala and Peter the Great were most definitely not the children of Cleopatra VII Thea Philopator OR Gaius Julius Caesar. And there's enough sources to prove this...
Jesus of Nazareth who is the known religious prophet figure in Christianity was born to Mary of Nazareth (Whether it was a virgin birth is for you to debate.) Mary's alleged parental genealogy has been written down by Mark (one of Jesus Disciples) all the way back to King David of the ancient United Kingdom of Israel (Not the same as Modern day Palestine- also ceasefire!!! and free Palestine!!! 🇵🇸) - Cleopatra VII Thea Philopator & Gaius Julius Caesar died roughly 30 years before Jesus was born.
Mary of Magdala was the written and mentioned female disciple of Jesus. It is theorised that her father was named Cyrus, and her mother Eucharis. She and her brother Lazarus, and her sister Martha, possessed the castle of Magdalo - but this has also confused her with Mary of Bethany who also had a sister named Martha. - Cleopatra VII Thea Philopator & Gaius Julius Caesar would have had to have died roughly 30 years before Mary was born too because she is considered younger than Jesus by some sources.
Peter the Great...was the Tsar of Russia...born 9 June 1672 and died 8 February 1725. *Crickets* Cleopatra VII Thea Philopator & Gaius Julius Caesar died roughly...1700ish years before Peter's birth (Peter was actually the documented son of Alexis of Russia and Natalya Naryshkina)
So, let's assume my dating app man was referring to Alexander The Great. But even then that doesn't make any lick of sense to be the son of Cleopatra VII Thea Philopator OR Gaius Julius Caesar. Considering he died roughly 3 centuries before their birth. 😵💫 Cleopatra allegedly named her second born son Alexander Helios after Alexander the Great.

Lazarus | Sweeter Than Apples And Honey | Romantic
Requested: Yes
When your friendly neighbour Mary invites you to join her and her Son Jesus to the Rosh Hashanah Festival, you get acquainted with one of His friends whom you find to be rather charming.
Running your hands through the bowl of water, you deeply sigh and force back your tears. Although the sound of chatter and music drifts under the gap between your door and the wall, as does the scent of fresh food, you’re not feeling like celebrating the New Year at all.
Yet another year of being alone. Yet another year of being a widowed, struggling mother. Yet another year of taking care of your child by yourself, not having anyone to assist you, not since abba passed away.
“Eema,” your little one asks, tugging on your skirt, “Can we go to the party? Please? Yael and Tirzah are coming, too, and I want to eat the sweets!”
You take the wet bowl you had been washing and dry it on your apron.
“I’m sorry, Saraï, but we will not be going today.”
“Why not?” she asks, pouting. There is a bit of porridge left at the side of her mouth and you wipe it away with your thumb.
“Because we don’t have anything to bring with us.”
She plants her hands on her hips and gives you an offended look. “But eema, I can’t live without my cinnamon rolls!”
You smile wryly and kiss her forehead. “Well, luckily you are also a cinnamon roll, so there’s that.” Saraï cannot fight the laugh and wipes the spot where you had pressed a kiss.
“That tickles!” she quips, but then gives you another pleading look. Your attempt to distract her has not been fruitful. “Eema,” she whines, “Can I at least go look at the people walking there?”
You sigh and look at the pile of dirty dishes you still have to work through, and then give her a nod. “Of course,” you say, “Don’t walk further than the end of the road, okay?” When she doesn’t reply, you raise an eyebrow, “Saraï? I mean it.”
“Yes, eema.” she mumbles and quickly throws on her sandals to rush out of the home. A wistful sound leaves you and your vision is suddenly blurred. You swallow away the lump in your throat, for you don’t want to cry no matter how guilty you feel towards her.
You would have loved to bring her to the Feast, but you cannot bear to show up empty-handed. Several women in Nazareth had been so kind to you when your husband Eitan had passed away due to a sickness that took him fast a few years ago. You had never found the money or luxury to pay them back for their aid, so you felt the burden of having to give back to your community.
Inhaling deeply, you force back your tears and continue on your work. A knock on the door suddenly startles you, causing you to drop a cup back into the water. Much to your relief, it does not shatter. You dry your hands on your apron and grab your veil to cover your hair, clearing your throat before opening the door.
Your neighbour, Mary, stands with a kind smile on her face, beaming at you. “Shalom, (Y/n). I was wondering if you’d like to come with us to the Festival!”
Your mouth falls open in slight question when you see your daughter hold Mary’s hand, hidden behind the older woman’s leg. You huff in amusement and smile, putting a hand on your chest and bowing your head. “I appreciate the offer, Mary, but I… I really can’t afford it.”
Mary clicks her tongue and shakes her head, grinning. “Oh, nonsense, (Y/n)! You don’t need to worry about that! We’ve got you covered, trust me!”
Unconvinced, you keep on protesting: “I have already leeched off the women in the village after Eitan died. I can’t just keep on doing that!”
“Eema, look, it’s Jesus!”
Before you can stop her, Saraï runs towards the Man Who seems ready to leave with a leather backpack over his shoulder, and he broadly grins. “Shalom Saraï,” He looks up at you and waves, “Shalom, (Y/n).”
You gently smile. “Shalom,” you tell the Son of Mary, Who scoops up your daughter, making her laugh.
“You are so much taller than the last time I saw you. You were still a little Saraï back then, now you’re a way bigger Saraï!”
She giggles, and your smile falls. “I… I really don’t want to bother you, Mary.” you tell the woman, “I can’t pay you back, I’ve got no money, I’ve–”
“I know, and it is alright. I’m inviting you, okay? You’re with us, and I’ve brought this.” She shows you a covered bowl of food. “Come on, put on your sandals. No Jew can be left behind because of their financial status, hm? The Festivals are for everyone and you deserve some fun, too.”
Saraï lets out a pleading sound at you whilst Jesus gives you a questioning look. “Eema, can we please go? Please, please, please? I want to play games with Jesus and eat cinnamon rolls and apples and—”
“Alright,” you give in, breathing a laugh, “You’ve convinced me.”
Both Mary and Jesus let out a sound of delight and you extinguish your candles, slip on your sandals and take an extra tunic for warmth as well as a few extra items for your daughter that you put in a bag that you throw around your shoulder. Locking up your house, you follow Mary towards the crowd that is making its way to the large field outside of Nazareth.
“It’s been a while since I’ve been at any Festival,” you admit to Jesus, Who carries Saraï upon His shoulders. Her hands have laced themselves in his dark hair and hold on tight whilst she looks around and happily chats to herself about the things she is seeing.
“My eema told me what happened to your husband.” Jesus reveals. “I’m sorry for your loss.”
You hum and cast down your gaze. “Thank You. It’s not easy, but I’m surviving. After all, it has almost been two years since it happened. So, how have You been? You’ve been stirring up quite a bit of trouble, or so I’ve heard. Rumours about you being uh…” You lean closer to Him and lower the volume of your voice, “The Messiah.”
Jesus chuckles. “Ah, it’s not yet the time to talk about that just yet.” He says, “I will tell you more about that soon. First, let’s enjoy the festivities, okay? Don’t forget to allow yourself happiness again, (Y/n).” He gives you a serious look and you gulp. “In the past years you’ve been putting your daughter first in your life, which is a good thing. But you matter, too.”
You huff and let out a small noise. “Well, I’m not sure about that, Jesus. I’m busy enough as is. I’ve barely got time for anything other than taking care of her.”
“But you are forgetting yourself altogether. This little girl will not be little forever, and it will leave you completely alone in the end. One day, she will be grown up, get married herself and move out. Don’t let things come to be that way, that you’re old and lonely.”
Flushing, you give a small shake of your head. “Ah, I’ve… I’ve had my fair share of heartbreak, Jesus. Besides, who would ever want a poor widow like me?”
The sound of shofars all around reaches you when you walk onto the sunny field, where several stands have been erected with food displayed on them, and people are dancing and singing, wishing each other a happy Rosh Hashanah.
A few people walk up to Jesus and you reach out your arms to Saraï to take her from the Rabbi. “Come on, darling, let’s not bother Jesus right now, okay?”
Jesus smiles at the little girl as she obediently follows your command. “We will talk later, okay Saraï?” Jesus tells her, and she nods in agreement. You scoop her up onto your arm and carry her around for a while lest she wander off right away, and together, you walk around, greeting people here and there as you explain to her what the Jewish New Year is all about.
At a certain moment, the pair of you grow hungry, and you wonder where you can get some food without your heart feeling too encumbered by taking from these people who are giving out of the kindness of their hearts and having nothing to gift them in return, but someone clears their throat behind you and you turn at once, readjusting Saraï on your arm.
A kindly smiling man stands in front of you with in his hands a plate of honey and cut apples. He has dark, cropped hair with a pair of sparkling eyes, and you cannot remember having seen him before. “Shalom,” he says, “Shanah Tovah. Would the two ladies like something sweet to start off the new year with?”
You place down your daughter, who has started to wriggle on your arm now that she is presented with food, and you gratefully bow your head at him. “Shalom, and Shanah Tovah. Please, if it’s not too much to ask?”
“Of course not,” he quips, “Otherwise, I wouldn’t have come here to offer it to you, right?”
Flushing a bit, you almost feel embarrassed. Saraï chooses the largest chunk of apple she can find and dips it into the honey, gathering the greatest amount of the sweet goop she can get on there before sticking it into her mouth, but it already runs down her hand.
“And what do we say, Saraï?”
“Thwank ywu!” she mutters with stuffed cheeks, munching on the fruit. You give her a smile of praise before turning to the stranger yourself.
“Thank you very much, sir.”
He grins and nods. “You’re very welcome.” His eyes sparkle as they meet yours once again and you feel a strange spark ignite within you, thinking immediately that this man is attractive to look at. Perhaps it is the attitude he radiates, like there is something fun and youthful about him even though he must be around your own age.
Right when he is about to turn away, Saraï pipes up: “Eema, can I go play with Jesus now?”, and he stops to look at the girl in surprise.
“Of course you can,” you give her a positive answer, and when she runs off, you notice that the stranger who had offered you the food is eyeing you rather curiously. “Is anything the matter?”
“You know Jesus?”
You smile a bit and nod. “Yes,” you say, “Ah, His mother is my neighbour. You know Him, too?”
The man nods eagerly, pivoting to face you again. “Yes! He is a good friend of mine.”
Your eyebrows rise up in surprise and you smile. “Oh! What a small world we live in… You’re not from around here, though…”
“I’m not,” says the man, who props the bowl of apples and honey onto one arm before reaching his hand out to you. You shake it gladly. “My name is Lazarus.”
“I’m (Y/n).”
Lazarus smiles and repeats your name. “I like that.” he states “That is a sweet girl you’ve got, very inquisitive.”
Laughing lightly, you shyly let your gaze fall to the floor, tucking some hair behind your ear before readjusting your veil. “Thank you, she’s six. And uh, well, I’m trying my best to raise her well.”
The kind man you just met frowns slightly and looks around to see if anyone is approaching you. “Are you… Here with your husband?”
Your smile falls into something more wry and you shake your head. “No, he… He passed away a few years ago. It’s just Saraï and I.”
His mouth falls open slightly as his brows knit together. “Oh… I’m so sorry to hear that.” Lazarus murmurs, genuine sorrow in his eyes.
“I’ve learnt to cope. It’s lonely, but I’m still standing.”
Something sad flashes in his expression. “Hey, you shouldn’t forget about your own wellbeing, (Y/n)!”
You let out an amused huff. “That’s funny, you’re the second person who has said that to me today, the first one being Jesus.”
Lazarus chuckles. “Well, then you must follow that advice.”
You take another piece of apple and dip it into the honey.
“Are you here with your wife?”
“Ah, no, with my sisters. I’m not married.”
Your heart skips a beat, although you’re not sure why. For some reason, you’re relieved to hear that. “That’s surprising.” you state before you can stop the words, and Lazarus frowns, a tad flustered.
“What… Do you mean by that?”
Suddenly, your face feels hot. “Did I say that out loud?” you squeak, but before Lazarus can acknowledge this, Jesus walks up behind him.
“There you are.” He says, “I was already wondering where all the sweet apples went.” His gaze goes to you and He smirks knowingly. “I see that you’ve met my friend (Y/n).”
“Yes,” Lazarus breathes, “We ah, we were just talking!”
Saraï peeks out behind Jesus and tugs on His tunic. “Come on, let’s play the throwing game!”
“Of course,” Jesus reassures her as He wraps an arm around Lazarus, “You go find Rafi, okay? I still need to convince Lazarus to come and play.”
Immediately, the young girl rushes off with a soft: “Shalom eema!”, and all three of you watch her as she goes to follow Jesus’ command.
“You know,” Jesus pipes up, pulling Lazarus with Him as He turns to follow your daughter, and He pats his friend’s chest. “That child is still looking for a father-figure in her life.”
You nearly choke on your own tongue upon hearing the words, and Lazarus is equally as red as Jesus says this. Your eyes lock with Lazarus’ for a second and that same spark makes your heart flutter, and you wrap your hand over your mouth to fight the blush.
Casting a look over His shoulder, Jesus calls out to you. “Don’t forget to come cheer us on in a few minutes, (Y/n)!” He tells you. With a wink, He continues whispering something in Lazarus’ ear, who casts another shy glance your way.
Dumbfounded, you stand in the middle of the field for a while, mulling over the words. Then, they click with what Jesus had insisted on earlier, that you shouldn’t keep putting yourself aside for Saraï’s sake, and perhaps it was indeed time for her to get a new person in her life she could call abba.
With a widening smile, you make your way over to the playing field where Saraï has teamed up with Lazarus, keen on observing the game. They get on like a house on fire, and you haven’t seen Saraï this competitive in a long time.
Maybe that this Jewish New Year marks the start of something else altogether.

*Spoilers for Lazarus Planet: Revenge of the Gods #4* _ _ _ _ _
It's canon again! Mary now once again has her own SHAZAM, which consists of: S - Selene H - Hippolyta A - Artemis Z - Zephyrus A - Aurora M - Minerva Sappho and Ariadne are not back, but Aurora is, taking her place back from Aphrodite.
It is a commonly known DC fact that the letters in SHAZAM stand for certain heroes/gods that Captain Marvel gets his powers from, it is less widely known that for the pre-1985 version of Mary Marvel there was a different version of the SHAZAM acronym. In Mary's case, the letters stood for: S-Selene (Titan/Goddes of the Moon in Greek Mythology) for Grace H-Hippolyta (Queen of the Amazons in Greek Mythology) for Strength A-Artemis (Goddes of the Hunt in Greek Mythology) for Skill Z-Zephyrus (God of the West Wind in Greek Mythology) for Fleetness A-Aphrodite (Goddes of Beauty and Love in Greek Mythology) for Beauty M-Minerva (Goddes of Wisdom and Justice in Roman Mythology) for Wisdom This wasn't the case from the start, at first, the A's stood for Ariadne (Cretan Princess in Greek Mythology) and Aurora (Goddes of the Dawn in Greek Mythology). Another change was the letter S. Originally, the letter was supposed to stand for Sappho (A Greek Poet from the Isle of Lesbos who is known as a Symbol of Love and Desire between Women) but the executive producer of Fawcett Comics at the time suggested the Selene might be a more 'wholesome' choice. tl;dr
