Tldr: 3 realizes that forcing 4 away from the Platoon after Sploon2 the way they did wasnt the best choice. That forcing her to ignore what had happened had most likely contributed to her unable to cope with life beyond war.

4 can see in the gesture the pain they hid in their hearts. The regret. The guilt.

4 shakes her head. Resolute.

She does eventually decide to leave. Things were looking up for awhile, and missions are much lighter. She can dare to dream bigger now. That and...she cant stand seeing 3 looking so guilty whenever she says something abt her life on the surface.

None of it is their fault. Any of this. But they still feel that theyre taking her away from her "real life".

When she said that shes leaving the platoon, 3s look of jubilation both relieved and pained her. Then a thought hit her, right there.

"...Wait...all this time- did you just want to get rid of me? D-did you not want to be friends anymore?"

3 shakes their head. "|Rain, I asked you to live your dreams as a friend.

Your safety would be guaranteed. Youd be able to happily live your dreams without worry.|"

These teenagers goddamn. 3 doesnt understand fully that shit still happened and one cant just leave and pretend nothing had transpired. Or maybe they felt they didnt deserve to have someone as good as 4.

Theyre ruthless in a sense that they know what their goals are. Their goal was to keep the world safe for everyone else to live. And if it means sacrificing their friendship with 4, so be it. If shes safe, their goal is met. Doesnt matter what either of them feel about it. (I suppose 4 getting injured really pushed them to make that choice.)

And 4... yeah, leaving was the smart choice for her personal growth, but agreeing with 3 to sacrifice their friendship wasnt the best choice to agree to. She felt like she cant argue 3 out of that decision they made for the both of them...so she just followed it.

Thats why theyre so flabbergasted and upset that she came back. It felt like that time they spent alone, that sacrifice they made, was all in vain...

"Im sorry, Three. It sucked being away from you. It really did. I failed to live there...maybe my life is really meant to be lived here. On duty.

Are they disappointed that she failed her brand new life? No, never. They gave her the chance to run away from it all, but she came crawling back after doing so. If she felt that her life is here, after trying something else, so be it.

Thats what convinced them enough to allow 4 to return to duty. Theyll keep her safe another way. They also cant hide from themself the fact that theyre happy to see her again after so long.

Sometimes i like to think about Mari and then i remember how she probably blames herself and that’s why she so easily forgave Sunny. Cause like, she was a perfectionist and even though it wasnt her fault and it was the circumstances that created the incident, she probably still falls into that downwards spiral.

She probably thinks stuff like, “Sunny is hurting because im dead. Its not his fault its mine. I died cause i fell. I fell because blocked his way, and he pushed me. He pushed me because he was scared and stressed because i yelled at him. I yelled at him becaude he broke the violin. He broke the violin because i wanted it to be perfect. I pushed him too hard. Which of course it isnt true, or at least not that she meant to cause this, she meant no harm, but with the little we know about Mari that’s probably how she sees it. She thinks its all her fault. And i think thats really sad. in fanart we always see her comforting Sunny, but they need to comfort each other not just one of the two. Cause both feel like it’s their fault.

saw a video on instagram where a girl discussed how she falls into watching porn, feels gross, but is comforted knowing God loves her anyway and will always be there for her even when she falls. All of the comments are conflating her faith with her shame- which is not totally unfounded given that is the experience many people have, but its not the experience everyone has and it isnt fair to put that on them.

My shame regarding porn consumption existed before I considered God in any way. I was exposed to porn at around 3-5 years old, assaulted by another child, and coerced into starring in C/P when I was a little bit older. I was essentially groomed into sex work and continued to do sex work until I was in my 20’s, and had secret revenge porn made of me without my consent. I was sexually abused by a partner.

For me , all of my shame came from the guilt of not being stronger, not knowing better, not saying no more, not fighting back. All of this isnt my fault of course but the guilt existed none the less. I struggled with porn addiction my entire life. I felt inherently impure, internally filthy , disgusting in a way I couldn’t undo.

But my experience with faith so far is that , even as someone who has experienced these things and been “tainted”, someone who has struggled with Lust, someone still loves me no matter what (that someone being God). To me it is reassuring. I dont feel additional shame , I just feel better knowing that someone has my back.

I am also LGBT , and tbh I don’t agree with the teachings of churches that are anti-lgbt; my relationship with Mary and God is more direct. I dont believe that we are inherently bad for the way we Love or for the abuse we have suffered or for the pleasure in our life that we have consented to.

Im not sure entirely where im going with this but i wanted to share my thoughts. Seeing those comments made me feel a bit alone but the world is vast and I know Im not.

Okay so I wanted to make a blog for an Undertale and omori au so I’ll explain the changes and everything here.

So to start things off instead of Mari being pushed down the stairs and dying she cases sunny up mount ebbot and falls into the underground, she survives the fall but neither sunny or any of his friends know, basil sees everything happen like in cannon and promises to sunny that he won’t say anything.

the main story takes place after the omori fight where sunny loses, instead of jumping off the hospital he decides to go back to mount ebbot, kel, confused and concerned for sunny follows him and confronts him, however sunny falls down the mountain.

Kel, terrified calls Hero, and Aubrey, and explains what had happened, after discussing it they decide to go down to mountain to try and rescue him,

Down in the underground while the three others discuss this sunny wakes up, encounters flowey and is saved by his older sister, Mari had been living in the ruins with toriel for the four years since the incident, she initially woke up chara, who has grown fond of Mari.

Sunny is still dealing with everything that had just happened, his mental health is in shambles, him meeting Mari again has helped him but throughout the story he begins to crumble more and more,

The other three explore the underground after sunny and Mari, through word of mouth they learn that Sunny is alive, and later they even find that Mari is alive too,

Kel isnt in a good mental state right now, he just watched his friend try to die in front of him, in his eyes he not only failed to save him, he could be responsible for it in the first place, having taken him out of his home, he tries to hide these feelings from his friends, he feels like they probably shouldn’t have to deal with him right now,

Aubrey isn’t feeling great either, she’s angrier but rarely at her friends, she doesn’t want to hurt them anymore because she feels like it’s her fault sunny did what he did.

Hero is more held together than the other two, if they’re going to have any chance of helping sunny he has to keep everyone together, he’s still hurt that sunny chose to jump down the mountain, but he really can’t think about that right now

If this gets any traction then I’ll make more, otherwise I’ll just keep this idea in my head from now till the end of forever

Madre Hobuna

Being a 2000s kid that had a semi decent grasp on english and a deep need to view all things non suitable for my age demographic. I found myself sinking quickly inside all things horror or supernatural.

From small, passion driven blogspots to shock sites, my internet journey landed me in places that still carry some of my major inspirations and influences for my art.

Who doesn’t remember horribly photoshop cryptids and aliens from ye olden days? I certainly do and I strive my humanoid contraptions to resemble that uncanny, almost random aesthetic of early internets photoshop.

One of those inspirations was the legend behind the 9MOTHER9HORSE9EYES9 reddit creepypasta series.

At the beginning I thought of it as a homage to the Silent Hill series, like an extreme AU of the first games from its heavy womb symbolism. The interfaces scream that is a womb-mimic like the pods avatars were stored in the J.Camerons franchise. And the titular creature, the Mother with the Horse eyes only strengthens my personal interpretation of the symbolism of this series.

A deity like being that interferes with the on goings of the world and ripping and sewing the storyline together. You can argue is a successful version of The God of Furies , a being of true neutral values and ideals who strungs the pendulum of the world on its own rythm, without being itself involved in the happenings it orchestrates.

But heres the conundrum: Horses arent ussualy a motherly symbolism. In ancient Greece and Rome horses were a symbol of power and glory: values that are ussualy given musculine character. In medieval times horses were seen as a symbol of strength and noble origins: a healthy horse was expensive both to aquire and keep.

Furthermore horses arent that good as mothers in the animal kingdom go, although thats also a human fault (this is a half assed idea but from some minor research they seem to have a semi better relationship than bovines do to their calfs).

Given these thoughts, the idea of a horse to be given the title of Madre(mother in spanish) is an oxymoron, but it also makes a lot of sense. In my view, Madre Hobuna isnt a stereotypical mother deity. She isnt a Madonna nor a Maria (orthodox name of Holy Mary). She is more of a guide than a voice of reason or comfort.

And thats why i depict her as such. I dont view her as a freudian interpretation of the mother i wished to see nor as a stand in for a feminine deity.

She is her own person and she marches alone like a abandoned war horse in the sea storm that we call life, and thats why she is in my mind so many years (her creation is roughly at 2020? )

ive been asked to define The Schema.

so im watching supernatural for the first time this year, havent gotten very far so i’ll assume this only applies to what ive seen (seasons 1-5), but after about ten or so episodes i started noticing a pattern with the women in the show, specifically with how they’re positioned based on hair color. Now, according to eric kripke only 3 hair colors exist for women. Blonde, black, and dyed red. i think there is One brunette woman in the show but i dont remember her name, just that i was shocked by seeing her.

for some reason, the show insists on dividing hair colors along surprisingly hard and fast lines, every woman in the show (except one) falling along the following three archetypes:

Blonde — The Ideal Woman. Angels sent from heaven to be perfect and beautiful and take care of men. Blonde women can do no wrong and have no flaws, and should they die it is TRAGIC. How could the lord bear to take one of these perfect beautiful angels away from us,,, they deserved a long life and many children and a nice man to be fucked by and not a scrap of agency. if by some horrifying fluke of fate or temptation, one of them DOES do something wrong, feel free to fuck and/or murder them at your discretion. notable examples; mary, jo, ellen, 90% of Nice Woman Supporting Characters, etc.

Dyed Red — NO NATURAL RED HAIR EXISTS. These women are Dangerous. Maybe theyre a wildcard you can never fully trust, maybe they’ll help you, but only to their own ends, maybe you love them and they betray you. Whatever it is, no matter how cool and sexy they are, WATCH OUT. these women are CAPABLE OF HARM. but oh my gosh theyre so cool,,,, 😮‍💨 notable examples; Ana, that one policeman in the episode with the hunters what kill people, etc.

Black Hair (usually dyed) — either EVIL or DEAD. the dregs of society. Mean women. Women of no virtue. When they die itll be their own fault for sinking to sin and corruption, and yknow what maybe society is better off with these horrible EVIL temptresses dead. bottom line, these women cant be trusted for anything other than sex and betrayal and having really pretty eyes usually for some reason. notable examples; that werewolf who died after sam had sex with her, ruby 2, meg 3(?), every woman sam has had sex with post-jessica, ALMOST EVERY DEAD GIRL, ALMOST EVERY EVIL WOMAN, etc.

now i know youre asking; what about meg! what about lilith 1 and2! what about ruby 1!! they’re all blonde and evil!! but consider them for a moment—

meg 1 has dyed blonde hair, but every time she appears before she dies she has *dark black roots* that are highly visible:

this is a subtle bit of foreshadowing imo, proving she’s capable of evil AND that shes trying to scam mr padalecki. watch out!!!!

now lilith might be seen as a proper breakage from form, seeing as every time she appears she has blonde hair. but crucially, the first time she appears, when she’s possessing that little child, we’re supposed to primarily feel bad for the child, specifically when lilith leaves the childs body and the kid warns the boys. the real stick in the spokes is lilith 2, who looks like this:

personally i dont see this as a break from the schema but i think it’s up to interpretation. i think lilith 2 counts because while her death isnt tragic and she certainly doesnt possess the fine patriarchal virtues of most blond women in the show, her death IS a thing we should feel bad about, seeing as its what kicjstarts the apocalypse and frees satan. that and she’s sort of supposed to be a wolf in sheeps clothing type of deal almost like meg. she appears in a white dress, rail thin, with an almost too perfect face, primarily as a smokescreen. to futz with the characters and the viewers perceptions. again, up to you if you think shes a break, but i dont personally.

now ruby 1, lets call her laurel lance ruby, shes a fun one:

laurel lance ruby is of course another dyed blonde because this isnt the actress’s real hair color but thats not what im gonna bring up. ruby’s a fun case because shes not just scamming the characters, shes scamming the viewer as well. so, the crucial thing for me is how the audience is supposed to feel about her. sure shes a little sketchy, sure shes a little dangerous, maybe shes a red hair candidate, but we the audience are SUPPOSED to empathize with her, to feel her frustration when the hunters dont trust her, her annoyance when her plans go off the rails. we’re supposed to be rooting for her, and more importantly, we’re supposed to be upset when shes overtaken by lilith in the confrontation. we’re supposed to be sad when shes lost, or at least sent back to hell briefly. that to me counts as a death, and imo counts as a tragic one. now ruby 2 is more obvious, ruby in her True Form narratively speaking. shes gone full scammer mode shes mask off we’re supposed to be suspicious of her, shes no longer scamming both us AND the boys, but primarily just the boys, so we are meant to be offput by her. personally i found myself shocked when ruby, a sympathetic character, broke my schema by appearing with black hair and from my perspective making all the right calls in the war on satan, but then WHAM her scheme is revealed and the schema corrects itself when she turns out to be a betrayer AND then dies in a way where we’re supposed to cheer. i miss ruby she was a fun character :(

so all this to say, there are a number of characters that *bend* the schema. but the one that so far in my watch has broken the schema fully is LISA.

i have only seen as far as the season five finale so, no spoilers pls, but if she dies my schema will at least be corrected from Broken back to only Bent. but as it stands she shows NONE of the signs of a typical Black Haired Woman within the schema. she’s a lovable character, we’re meant to root for her, she shows little to no signs of typical Black Haired Woman traits like infidelity or other signs of major sin or corruption. there’s some light implied promiscuity, but never on screen and only many many years before the show began, by the end of season five she has done no wrong by the shows typical definition! she shows no sign of imminent betrayal, she makes no move to harm the boys, she has all the qualities of Blonde Hair within the schema, right down to being boiled down to a bioessentialist “mommy you can fuck” stereotype! she should by all rights have blonde hair!!! so at my point on the timeline i have to assume that EITHER;

1) her death is imminent. beware the doom that follows her lest ye be caught up in it. beware, dean winchester.

or 2) FROM THIS POINT FORWARD THE SCHEMA IS MEANINGLESS.

i logically should have very little issue with lisa, but hoooooo i am PEEVED that shes breaking my schema. when she appeared the first time i was SURE shed die by the end of the episode and when she didnt i was THRILLED!!!! finally a beautiful black haired woman was FREE. a win for the recovering goths everywhere. but now? with her breaking my schema at every turn???? HOO i am peeved. vexed even. hough i am peeved.

so yeah. thats the Schema from seasons one through five. forgive some of the more sexist lingo, when working within my enemy’s text i must resort to using their lexicon.

there’s this (frankly, extremely dumb) tendency to call main girl characters from girly childhood media "mary sues" for trying to be an example or also simply cool for little girls who may be watching. winx may be different in some aspects, but i think this fandom forgets that it's still a kids cartoon who is trying to teach lessons to children. bloom is part of those main characters that have to be a little shallower for who is watching (again, kids!) to identify with her. and still they managed to give her some personality traits and defining character moments: her yelling at riven, using her powers with clear rage not having a second thought, her loving fantasy stories and being a bit artistic, her immediately jumping in to try and save stella. these, in writing, are all good ways to showing-not-telling a character.

if that didn't work for you personally, it doesn't erase the fact that she was made with that role in mind, which is staple for kids' media.

even in the video you linked (which is memey in its nature), how can she be a mary sue if the other characters call her out of her bullshit? one of the main traits of a mary sue is the other cast praising her and loving her no matter what she does, which is not the case for bloom. if you're talking about post-s3, we can agree that's the fault of the writers, no? she's fictional, she doesn’t have personal agency.

who i'm talking about is people who, with the recent rise of "y2k media" nostalgia, want to interact with fandom and fandom spaces and character analysis pretending that watching the show when they were little and never approaching it again until it became cool to do so gives them the right to make passing comments that, on a media analysis standpoint, just aren't true. all because when they were little they thought musa or flora were cooler because they had music and nature powers and "why isnt the narrative focused on them instead?"

and trust me, i'm italian! there isn't a single girl in my life that when was a child didn't watch winx club! we play-pretended all the time! this post was made on a whim because frankly, as someone who studies and is interested in this stuff, i got tired of hearing slander and objectively untrue statements about a character that is written perfectly okay for a kid's cartoon.

casual winx fans who haven't watched the seires since they were six will say shit like "agh i hate bloom she’s such a pick me 😩" bro i'm sorry your only percieved notion of the character is the utter assassination of her personality that was s4 and onward. that's my fucking "i will yell at you and throw fireballs until i burn your ass into a crisp" daughter be fucking respectful
