First gen stereotipical princess tropes (gendered).
The one functions that you can defy them as/with. That could be or are important story-wise or to the heroines themselves or their surrounding.
Helpless Miss (tags)
Houseworker. --------->
Longing for love (tags)
-----> Prepping the house.
'Opressor mentality' should be a word. (Rest are written in the tags, last 4 tags to be specific, edit:added some more tags 😋).
Like how it goes you clean one thing, gonna get to another one. "No you didn't do That one". Or going to work on another corner. "Not doing it well actually". We just make it prepped and made nice so that larger and most-likely spoiled himbo comes across and read a preachment to us. Eh
It's important to be orderly or kind but when you are getting kind of talked over during work or criticised. It should have a word. Oppressor mentality (also was oppressed, oppressed mentality, so the least you can do is call upon that, (call upon) aka to be nice and non violent about that)
#barbie#For opposide representation to subordinative helpless miss we have barbie musketeers#Maybe for greek hero or knight we should have a word but have for a woman#in one word#one word what's the word#FemHercules/Altair style#For longing love trope I kind of understand there are 2 major reasons that#Barbie rejected her boyfriend (even boyfriend-by-design#even then he wasn't forcing on her just he was worried that he might get insignificant in franchise if without any gf or status(authority)-#1. one is harlequeen type of infatuation 😕 (Margo Robbie had her opinions on that matter#'why a strong woman needs to pin after a man#plus sorry for getting personal she didn't have a father figure beside soo idk diminished role of men in family(?))#2. and another one that women are faced with labels and suspitions if they are not after men that it's their fault they have or like no one#And they're to blame which is not always or entierly true#I have one major complain with Barbie movie though#That they are violently against nutritious aspect regarding children pretense-playing as parents (house-house plays)#And how Midge wasn't as significant as Allan or simply#Significant#Her thoughts views idk#Another pevee is when barbie said she's not pretty anymore#Like she's right: depression and self doubt can really hit you#And you doubt yourself at all#That part with the narrator is what I've ment#Overall there was an article which mentioned 10 things audience wanted differently in a movie if you find that then good on you.#Now I'm going to write about housework and how it might get undervalued or a means for abuse (verbal or anykind) and self-doubt#become an absolute ingrate work by simply unnessesarry-verbal-comments tied to a female who's conscientiously loving the palace(place 😅) th#Women can go against women#Barbieland in fist movie were Kens and Brainwashed Barbies#Not evolved into cycle-of-abuse or I wanna be oppressor one time too Barbie#barbie barbie barbie

Heeeeyy! aww, I'm so sorry you're sick :( I hope you make a very speedy recovery!!
Here's something to take your mind off of the pain, I've seen you drawn princess Daisy (she looks AMAZING in your style btw!!) and idk if you saw the post online about the second Mario movie and that got me thinking. If we get Daisy in the second movie what would your voice headcanon for her be AND what kind of personality would she have (peaches was tweaked for the movie so theres a chance that daisys will be as well)
again, get rest and hope you feel better!!
Ooo that’s a good question! Ok, let’s see…
I picture Daisy, at least i my au, as someone who has the sweet, giddy, and girly, excitement-seeking charisma of Harley Quinn from both BTAS and the James Gunn Suicide Squad. She also has the immense strength, speed and reflexes, stamina, and skilled at different forms of combat and weaponry as Yor Forger. Daisy is also sharped-tonged, blunt, and has the tendency to be extreme and unpredictable. But she is just as every bit kind and compassionate as Peach… she just expresses it differently.
As for voice headcanons, Deanna Mustard will never be topped but I’d say that Margo Robbie would make for a pretty good Daisy casting. Kat Graham (April from rottmnt) and Stephanie Sheh (Mei from Lego Monkie Kid) would also be good fits for her voice. But that’s just my opinion :)

Asteroid City, A Personal Review
Movies by Wes Anderson are an acquired taste. Most people don't like them but those of us who do really, really love them. His style is beyond quirky, way-out-there bizarre unrealistic plots, constrained performances, & brazenly artful scenery. Anderson doesn't even try to make commercially-viable movies. He makes ART! And he employs large casts of serious actors putting them in circumstances that turn straight actors into comedians & comedians into drama stars.
Under his direction, his ensembles are forced to conform to his insistence on them doing a parody of normal speech & behavior. They drone in emotionless monotones w deadpan demeanors, which puts the emphasis on the content of their speeches. His clever scripts are laugh-out-laugh funny when you listen to the words. But, if you don't, their performances can look utterly boring. And this leads your eyes to feasting on the background details. (I confess I've sat thru a couple of his movies only absorbing the set designs & camera angles but came out feeling refreshed & happy.)
Asteroid City is The Most Wes Anderson movie EVAH! He's got an All-Star cast including Tom Hanks, Scarlet Johansen, Brian Cranston, Adrien Brody, Edward Norton, Tilda Swinton, Willem Dafoe, and many, many more. Even the bit players have recognizable faces like Margo Robbie appears in only one scene that blows your mind. And Jason Schwartzman as the central character is amazing! He was allowed to project surprising micro-bursts of real emotion within the straight-jacket of Anderson's usual affectations.
The plot is impossibly convoluted: a 1950's B&W TV show about the writing of a play about a Technicolor movie w B&W Behind-the-Scenes inclusions of the play's actors behaving more naturalistically. This might actually be a first for Anderson & he uses it to press against the boundary of his usual creative methods. Leading up to the Grand Finale, Schwartzman steps outside of his primary Technicolor role to confront the writer of the play in B&W & demands to know what the story means!
In this moment, Anderson confronts his critics because one of the main complaints about his work is "WTF was that about!" I often recommend to people who have no previous experience w his movies to enjoy the snappy dialog & lush scenery; don't even try to make sense of it; simply let it roll over you & feel whatever you feel. Usually, after the fact, I examine what I felt & find some meaning for myself.
But, this time he has the entire cast arranged in tiered seating & they crash thru the 4th Wall by directly chanting at the viewer,
"YOU CAN'T WAKE UP IF YOU DON'T FALL ASLEEP!"
My eyes flooded w tears & I felt what Anderson intended me to feel—GRIEF! Yes, indeed, the Technicolor movie is centered on a story about a man processing the death of his wife, having to tell his children their mother is dead, & making peace w the father-in-law who never liked him. It's about letting go & moving on w the rest of your life.
I realize the chant is open to interpretation &, after the fact, I googled what others thought it meant. Most of them got the message about grief from it but have varied explanations for was the literal statement means.
My interpretation is: Movies are like dreams & the best way to watch them is to suspend your disbelief & enter a semi-conscious state to allow them to "happen" to you. Then you wake up when the movie is over & apply your critical thinking to what you experienced. If you obstinately remain self-conscious & busily critical, you simply won't get THE FULL EFFECT!
And, ya'know what? Grief is like that. And so are all traumatic events. If you don't give into the process of feeling your emotions, you'll never get over it. It will always be like a ghost haunting the back of your mind that spooks you until you confront it.
As someone who has experienced traumatic grief for going on 2½ years that evolved into a state of confusion since moving to Portland, I think this movie helped me "wake up".
Hey, look! I'm writing from my heart again!

Two Veterans and a Nurse...
Not knowing if one date was enough to get the proper feel of a person, I organised a second date with Pickles. At that particular moment, all the way back in October, I wasn’t sure who to pick between him and Shrek. After all, our first meet-ups were similar but also quite different. I’d learned a lot more about Pickles’s life and was enjoying our chats on Messenger (after I’d successfully stalked him on the socials after receiving a business card for his podcast. It does beggar the question that maybe being a private detective would be the perfect job for me?), whereas Shrek was easier to talk to because of the fact that we both grew up in ethnic families that had specific views on our marital status.
That, and the fact that I wanted to watch a movie and had some time off work. The film I wanted to see, however, didn’t have any sessions after 5PM. And honestly, See How They Run would have probably been much more humorous than what Amsterdam turned out to be (despite all the big names in it).
But perhaps I ought to have taken the night to watch See How They Run. Alas, the universal perception that watching a film by your lonesome in a cinema is cringe won through. On the other hand, Saoirse Ronan was in it.
Dilemmas, dilemmas.
Still, those are regrets that I ought to unpack another time. For now, I shall eagerly look forward to Glass Onion. From a few comments I’ve seen online, it’s apparently even better than Knives Out. And that was a film that caught me by surprise. Besides, who doesn’t love Daniel Craig’s over the top southern accent?
Back to the date at hand!
A bit like the first time I met Pickles, we convened outside his place of work in the city. From there, and emboldened at my initial excellent choice for food, I directed us towards some delicious sushi - with a brief stopover at a local JB Hi-Fi to pick up A Plague Tale: Requiem! Nigiri, hand rolls, gunkan and even side dishes! All for the low, low price of $4.20.
Except, to my dismay, he didn’t much like avocado! Raised Jewish, he also wasn’t much into shellfish like prawns. Nor did he like scallops!
He didn’t even touch the nigiri! And the tuna he had was always cooked. No raw fish! The very essence of sushi to some!
I had failed.
At the very least, that was how I felt as we headed towards the cinema, the tickets for Amsterdam nestled in my leather Mickey Mouse wallet after I’d purchased it beforehand. Once there, PIckles bought a medium-sized popcorn. An ample snack for a growing man.
I, on the other hand, was never much of a snacker. And rightly told him so before we found our seats and prepared ourselves for the wilm.
What to say about Amsterdam?
For one, there were a lot of big-name celebrities. From Anya Taylor-Joy to Christian Bale to Margo Robbie to Rami Malek to Robert de Niro. Taylor Swift even made a cameo!
So, you would think with such a diverse cast of actors, it would be much more entertaining than it was. After all, the trailers sold it as a comedy whoddunnit mystery. But, in all honesty, the comedic stylings were too far and few between. Or just a bit too much on the subtle side. There were a few chuckles here and there but nothing that had me guffawing. Except maybe how dramatic Taylor Swift’s death was when she got pushed in front of a car.
Rather, Amsterdam was a fictional interpretation of real events. And honestly, it was interesting to see how the Western world had to grapple with the growing threat of fascism back in the early 1930s.
In many ways, I also felt like I had failed in choosing the event as well. The movie wasn’t as funny as I had hoped.
In any case, after the movie was over, there was hardly any time to debrief - a most definite thing that ought to have happened - as my train was in five minutes and if I didn’t catch it, I would have also had to wait another thirty minutes. So, with a hasty goodbye, my time with Pickles came to a close.
On the ride home, though, we managed to exchange a flurry of messages.
Alas, it was not to be.
Our brief acquaintanceship would remain as it was, never to blossom into a full-fledged romance. Why, you ask, dear reader?
Well, despite my miscalculations on food and possibly the movie, Pickles was also thinking of heading overseas. As an individual that places a lot of weight on physical touch (according to him), he would be desolate by the separation. As for me, physical touch probably sits near the bottom of my love languages. I’ve never been comfortable with people casually touching me in any intimate manner, like my lower back or warmly embracing me. And you can completely forget the air kisses. Eugh!
There were just too many things that weren’t clicking and he was also looking for something short-term.
Alas, it seemed that despite a strong initial showing, our budding relationship was to be relegated to the dreaded friend zone (not that I mind. It just makes these things easier for me. And is probably less scary in the long run. Basically, think of me like Anzu from Romantic Killer. After all, it’s a particularly apt comparison. Just, you know, without the demon Riri conjuring up terrible situations to put me in).
So, what shall befall poor Kyndaris’s love life next? Will there be another contender that can tug at my heart strings?
Next time on Dating 2.0, looking forward to terrible teeth and an attempt at a ‘friendly catch-up!’

Charlotte “Luster” Dust
VO:
Margo Robbie (Speaking)
Camilla Cabello (Singing)
Meaning of the name:
Luster was named by Husk in playful revenge after Angel Dust named their youngest “Kat” 🤣
<> However the name sounded so appealing he actually didn’t mind about his “prank” anymore and it stuck until she started being referred to “Lucky Ace” or “Ace” for short for her exceptional skills of poker
Theme song:
Basics:
Sex: Female
Height: ???
Species: Sinner (hybrid)
• Jumping spider (via Angel Dust)
• Cat (via Husk)

<> Part Russian 🇷🇺
Style of speech: Slang

Dislikes:
• Not being able to fly (like Kat 😂)
• Genetics
• Feeling like she’s different/unimportant
• Alcohol
• Being called a saint
• People saying that she should have been called “Kat” instead of her sister (since Luster is the one who is more cat-like 😂)
• Not things going her way
<> Which often sparks that “old married couple” dynamic between Anthusker 🤣
• Lustfulness
• Being referred to as Harley Quinn (old version)
• Singing in public
<> Her employer forcing her to sing for the guests at the restaurant
• Anyone saying Kat is a nymphomanic
• Slurs
• Watching RuPaul’s Drag Race
• Liars

• Lyricist ~ she may have stage fright but she’s really good at writing down songs and singing to herself privately
Family:
Father 1#: Husk
Tumblr media
Father 2#: Angel Dust
Tumblr media
(fraternal) Sister: Kat Dust
Tumblr media
Credits to: HazbinHotelFanKid
Source: Pinterest
(older, surrogate) Sister: Nifty 🤣
Tumblr media
Aliases/nicknames:
• Lottie (by Kat)
<> Alternative name for “Charlotte” to avoid confusion with her and Charlie
<> Also hates being called Charlotte because she would often be referred as a “Harlot” because of her dad’s — Angel — occupation so she goes by Luster instead
• Luster (mainly)
• Goody-Two-Shoes
• Barkeep
Abilities:
• Synesthesia
<> Which can often help her win gambling games
• Reading nonverbals
• Singing (via both parents)
<> Although she feels inferior to Kat so she keeps her musical talents to herself and to a minimum
• Multilingualism (same as above)
• Animalistic cat noises depending on her mood:
<> Purring (happy)
<> Hissing (angry)
<> Yowl (shocked)
• Seduction
<> Despite not liking the idea of lust (which is ironic considering her choice of name) but will use seduction to gain her favour of the situation — particularly a cheating method to win card games
Appearance & personality:
Body
Luster, with the exception of her head (which is more cat-like) she has the body of a spider that is covered within black and white splotches in spontaneous places and has extended claws at the end of her fingers. She has pink fur that acts like a curvy hairstyle with a cute little pink bow tie at the top and it goes straight down her back
Eyes:
Luster had inherited a combination of her parents eyes; the colour and narrowness from Husk but the eyelid shape and darker sclera colour (right) from Angel.
Significant markings
Other than the scattered designs on Luster’s body she also has a mark in a shape of a heart on her cheek under her (left) eye and on the other side of her face is a much bigger splotch covering her entire right eye.
(It’s to be assumed for the remainder of her legs are much similar to Husk’s — except for the splotches)
Reference sheet:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
How would you describe Luster’s personality?
• Spoilt (definitely by Angel Dust 😂)
• Private
• Short-tempered
• Childish
• Hypersexual (only applied to card games to distract her opponent and cheat her way through) 🤣
• Anxious
• Vulgar
<> Considering that Angel Dust swore more times than Husk had 🤭 (besides no one would ever think a “sweet little angel” would ever swear)
• Hypersensitive
• Timid
• Free spirited
• Kind
• Strategic
• Open
• Accident-prone

Asteroid City Movie Review
World-changing events spectacularly disrupt the itinerary of the Junior Stargazer/Space Cadet convention in an American desert town circa 1955.
The moment when you thought Wes Anderson couldn't become more Wes Anderson, Wes pulls Asteroid City out of his bag.
Wes Anderson has always been known for his unique aesthetics. From his symmetrical and colorful cinematography to the blunt and articulate dialogue, his style is easily the most recognizable in the industry. However, after the French Dispatch, many believed he had hit the reach of his craft. But in classic Anderson style, he pushes his craft even further with his new film, Asteroid City. Though the question of the meaning of the film is up for thought, there is no question that this is Andersons, the most Anderson film to date.
Asteroid City does not really have all that much of a story, as Anderson focuses more on style over substances. This creative choice both helps and hurts the film. We simply see characters live their lives as they are thrown into an existential crisis after having a close encounter of a third kind. The themes of the existential crisis are handled in a typical Anderson way, with tonal juxtapositions and comedic irony. However, Anderson adds a meta twist to his tale of the American Southwest as the film is about a play as the play is shown to us in bright technicolor.
Through Bryan Cranston's smooth narration, we are taken back and forth between the play and behind the curtain. Each side knows its characters and which themes it wants to explore. From dealing with grief to being a perfectionist playwright, the two stories perfectly complement one another. However, because Anderson focuses on themes, there isn't all that much to the story, thus causing the audience to want more to chew on besides themes and pretty cinematography. The film feels empty at points, which could have been filled with a bit more story development.
With that stated, the film is still incredibly enjoyable. Anderson's dialogue is blunt yet cleverly witty and wordy as ever. Furthermore, this is probably one of his funniest films to date. From a dancing road runner to an alien posing for a picture, Anderson takes his classic juxtaposition comedy to new heights. What is even more impressive is that this might be the first time Anderson has dived into visual horror elements. Which makes me desperately want to see him do a horror movie. Overall, Anderson takes it to the next level with his craft in Asteroid City.
As previously stated, Asteroid City is easily the most Anderson film to date. And this is no exception to the performances from the entire ensemble. All performances have that classic monotone yet whimsical performance to them. For the first time since Rushmore, Jason Schwartzman steps back into a leading role in an Anderson film. His comedic timing is impeccable and masterfully portrays the role of an actor playing a character. Scarlett Johansson is a wonderful addition as an actress playing an actress obsessed with abusive relationships. Tom Hanks redeems himself after Elvis and Pinocchio with his gritty yet warming performance as a grandfather.
Furthermore, all the newcomers, quickly adapt to Anderson unique directing style. With the biggest standouts wbeing Rupert Friend, Steve Carell, Margo Robbie, Bryan Cranston, Jake Ryan, Grace Edwards, Sophia Lillis, Ethan Josh Lee, and Liev Schreiber. Furthermore, the three daughters stole the show in every scene they were in. As for the returning ensemble, they all knew the game and delivered great performances across the board. Overall, Anderson knows how to direct his actors to match his directing style, but given them enough room to make the characters their own.
With only a budget of $25 million, Anderson proves he knows how to use his money wisely as we are transported to the 1950s. Anderson perfectly captures 1950s Western America. From the wonderous line of vending machines to the rows of Cadillac's, to the small town diners, Asteroid City really feels like a Southwest America. In addition the 1950s costume design further immerses us into Asteroid City. Add in some perfectly timed needle drops, you are back in the 1950s.
As with all Anderson films, the cinematography is absolutely outstanding. From the exaggerated pastel color pallet to the beautiful symmetrical and asymmetrical framing, it's hard not to be pleased with Anderson's latest work. If a cinematography nomination is not given, I will riot.
If you are a fan of Wes Anderson, you will greatly enjoy his latest feature. If not, Asteroid City might be hit or miss with you. Regardless of your opinion of Anderson, it's hard not to respect this feature. There is clear care and dedication put into every aspect of the film. Now Wes does focus too much on style and doesn't provide as much substance as is needed, Asteroid City is still an enjoyable and pleasing film to watch.
My Rating: B+

If she legit parted ways with Elizabeth (whose work on Lili I didn't like but in general she is good which made me think that the change in Lili's style was more Lili and her team's idea than Elizabeth's) and that stylist she followed not long ago is her new one then I'm worried. That woman manages to make such beautiful and exquisite women like Margo Robbie and Rebecca Ferguson look bad so I don't know what to expect from her with Lili.
Yeah, IDGAF, particularly
