Up to orv chapter 505 and man it's so fascinating how much hsy has grown from chaotic wildcard + comic relief to the only character who is easily rivalling yjh in the deuteragonist role. Like we're here at the end of everything and she's the only one standing beside kdj and the one to snap him out of being tempted by the dokkaebi king's offer. Meanwhile yjh is trapped in a wall along with the rest of the gang. Very interesting choices being made and I'm a fan of them.

I can’t find my imperium sam thoughts, and maybe that’s for the best, but I have thoughts about sam and anger.

as, looking at the imperium, the personality shift is so stark. and yes, it’s helplessness and no room for mercy after over a decade of being forced to sire countless vampires, and what that does on a magical level, but there’s also that deep-seated, petty, vicious anger that comes out, especially in cataclysm, where it turns wholly cruel.

...but we also get hints of that anger in canon, in sam’s early audios, although his time with darlin, and helping someone else work through that, has helped, a lot.

......I wonder what sam would have done, being stuck in that room with quinn, if it had been a year earlier? if all of this had gone down before inversion?

the way Miguel makes it overly personal: like Miles made him replace his dead self and subsequently lose his daughter

also interesting how he talks about this 'beautiful web' that connects them all, it's been mentioned but he certainly does not share that many 'canon' events with the others. Miguel was meant to be a different Spider-Man & not one that had anyone die that was close to him in the beginning to push him to do it. if anything he felt he died himself (hence wearing a day of the dead costume as his spider-man outfit)

still unsure what he injected himself with. most of the tech there is spider themed so ?? but it was clearly bonding with him genetically

I'm not yet sure what I'm gonna do with Anya's biological family yet. I did mention a while ago, that Anya was born and raised in Reborn before Meteor had begun their operations trying to drive people out of the region. She had two very loving parents, and a younger sister she cared for about very much, before she was killed in an accident.

Now, due to me headcanoning that Reborn and Rejuvenation have about a 5 year time gap between (personally I believe at least, this is ample time between Flora's visit to Reborn then and her current present person as of chapter 10-15), that means that given I give Reborn's story as a whole, from start to end of post game, a time frame of about 2 and a half years, it's been about 18+ years since Anya died in her past life.

Anya's sister was quite young, about 4-5 or so, which means she'd struggle to have retained many memories of Anya in all that time. And in 18 years, especially with Meteor mucking about, so much could have happened to her family in that time frame. Her parents, sister or all of them could very well have died in some way in between that. Maybe her parents died leaving her younger sister to fend for herself, maybe even potentially ending up in the orphanage. Maybe her family was killed in the Jasper or Beryl plant incidents. A lot could have happened and I'm not sure yet how I want to do this.
