Whiskey hasn't wanted to eat since he molted into an adult (despite multiple offerings) but he was looking skinny, so I removed the head of a roach nymph and shoved it into his face. He was clearly hungry because he started chowing down eagerly, but refused to hold it until it kicked him. Now we're watching medical TV drama while he eats the rest on my hand. He's gotten distracted twice watching the lights from the TV so intensely I had to put my hand between them as a wall to remind him he's doing something (eating).

One of the prettiest I've ever seen, with those green eyes. She looks like a tapestry from above. Although we have 4 kinds of mantids in my area, this is the only native one and I'm always happy to find them.
