I have mostly tried to avoid WoT show discourse because honestly it is tiresome and seems stuck between “the show is a masterpiece that is beyond reproach” and “the show is irredeemable garbage” and those are both silly, but I can’t help but be amused at how many people are super upset that Lan isn’t huge and hulking and “stone faced” enough/the warders don’t seem adequately badass because I have a hard time thinking of characters I care less about. The biggest issue with show!Lan for me is the amount of screentime he gets. As far as I’m concerned that’s just Nynaeves husband.
