Taurus Mars

💝 he’s innately a tranquil & grounded individual. his natural ability to remain patient & quiet evokes mixed reactions from others. some perceive him as pleasant, comforting & reliable. others read him as apathetic, intimidating & dispassionate.

Busy, busy...!!

All FanFyria books claimed!! Thank you so much!! And... 10 out of 20 comic books shipped! :D;; I'm so sorry I'm taking some time with the bonus watercolor pieces. I can only work on them on weekends when I get proper daylight... I will miss summer! T^T;; I think I got better with those.. and I can't wait for folks to start receiving the packages! It always sparks so much joy! But bear with me for they take some time! Shipping to the US tends to take around 3 weeks too ;u; so it may take a while!

Work has been...the usual landslide of events once October starts xD;; It always gets so busy I'm like a ghost once I get home who just wants to dissociate while staring at the ceiling. I've been been listening to spooky games while at work. Silent Hill 2 remake was SO good and I'm lowkey dying I can't find the energy and time to draw something. Is this new Denny Lore? :D;; I very much love the Silent Hill games (1 to 4, the rest don't exist to me) and I'm so happy Konami did so well with this remake! They really made James have such a conflicted confused sad puppy look... which is very, so very fitting! And Maria? -chef kiss- the VA of everyone is way too good! I've inhaled every scene!!

The Suikoden remasters are looking great too and I can't wait to get it next year!! Are we entering the Konami redemption arc timeline!? If they announce Suikoden 3-5 remasters and Suiko 6 I may just have to pinch myself cause what a time to be alive...!!

Romancing SaGa 2 Remake is almost here!! Aaaaa! It ought to heal my aching soul from RS announcing EoS earlier this month :") .... I wanted to try Metaphor too but it's too close to RS2R so it has to wait a bit. Which reminds me, when RS2R is in my hands I may vanish off earth for a bit! It's not that I expect to find spoilers on a remake of a game which I've played, watched The Stage play of and absorbed all lore available of it in RS...but still xD; (I do hope I'm done with the FanFyria book ships by then aaaa) I may not be able to update my comic "The Snake, The Firebrand and The King of All" this month, cause as much as I'd love to, I promised my friends not to strain myself with work (else they will manifest into my walls and scold me!) and the workload and FanFyria book ship has taken a tow on me so far and my hands had started to give in ;n; ... I wish I was stronger ! But comic work is a journey, not a race! At least next chapter is sketched so the actual hard part is done. The line art/shading just takes time and many podcasts! (and free weekends xD)

I mean this with the most love but you need to get a life. You sound young and in too deep, you sound like a sick person.

People hating someone who I'm a fan of is not a reflection on me, I don't care. This is an f1 blog I follow people who like daniel and people who don't. Nasty/mean/overzealous people who revel in being horrific I avoid because that off-putting energy comes from a deep rooted place that manifests just as repulsively irl as it does online and I'm not trying to invite that energy into my life.

Appearance:

Long white hair are braided carefully while leaving his overgrown bangs to roam free on his head. his eyes are like a void that eats your soul as you stare into them. His skin is pearlescent, almost looking like a sheet of parchment.

He's around 6'5, and has a slutty little waist.

The particularity with him is in his right hand. Since he was a newborn his curse has manifested physically as a curious type of vitiligo. It started small, just a finger, and slowly expanded until it reached his shoulder and part of his neck.

He likes rings. In fact, he keeps a golden band on his middle finger. Talking about his hands, they are slender, the hue of the blood flowing underneath is a shadow on them. He keeps his nails well curated, grown in stiletto and painted with black lacquer. He wears tightly fitting button ups that usually have frills around the cuffs, yet always makes sure to expose part of his chest by leaving a few buttons open. He wears a necklace that he- let's say found before meeting his friends. He's very attached to it because of the resemblance with him. He wears leather pants that hug his body finely, matched with a pair of leather boots that keep the cuffs of the pants secured underneath.

Likes and dislikes:

He likes writing, he has kept a diary since he has met Jenneleth, his companion in countless of quests. he likes music, and humming while trying to stay sneaky is his biggest flaw, though his companions enjou his voice before bed as he sings them all to sleep. He despises lies, dishonesty, hurting weaker beings, and abuse. He also hates pickles.

Personality:

He's a sassy, straightforward person, never shying away from putting someone in line or giving his - most of the times- unwanted opinion. On the flip side, he has trust issues. He won't open up until he can be sure he's safe and you are not going to judge him. Beyond that he's a loving man when you get to know him, if he grows to call you his friend, he will make sure he's going to protect you at the cost of his life.

He's very insecure, and he will make jokes about it without hesitation, but to truly get to know him, you gotta dig deep and earn it.

Get to know him:

What is sadder than a lonely person? A lonely person that has lost hope.

Lynn was born in a small changeling village, where everyone took care of each other. He has grown in a very loving family that reminded him daily that his curse was okay.

Was it actually ok? No, Lynn grew up being bullied by his peers, especially when it came down to magic, which was supposed to be natural to him. Yet his inability to control the energy that flows through his body made sure he could never prove himself worthy. No one ever dared to defend him, until the lovely Tryx waltzed in and took his side. Little did he know she was going to be the reason he lost it all.

Years layer, when he turned 20, he was ready to settle down, maybe have kids, or maybe just travel with his beloved, yet when he was about to reach his happiness, tragedy had to push him off the ledger.

One night, he jolts up at the smell of smoke. Everything around him was too hot. He didn't hesitate to tumble down the stairs and search for his parent, only to be greeted by their corpses at the end of the last step.

He did all he could, pulling them out of the house and trying to save their life, but it was too late.

It was too late cause he looked around him, and his home was not the only building on fire. The whole village was burning down, families were exhaling for the last time when it dawned on him.

He never run so fast, skipping steps as he made his way towards Tryx's bedroom, but he was once more too late.

He gathered her, cradled to his chest, and brought her out. He sobbed for hours on her corpse until he realized he was lonely.

And that's where it began. He doesn't tell the tale of his travels, or how he gifted Jenneleth a necklace, or how he almost witnessed his world's apocalypse, nor how he ended up in faerun, but he's finally taking the chance and look for himself.

Okay so I am having thoughts about Worldless × Genshin Crossover thingy so have some more thoughts:

Both Edda and Aven does not know how they even got to Teyvat, all they know is that they blanked out and is now suddenly in a ridiculously colourful world where they can't absorb anything. Meanwhile in Teyvat, some may have noticed two extremely bright meteors, one blue and one orange, one night.

The wildlife also confuses them a LOT. Why aren't they shapes? How can they hold their form all the time? Why they seemingly can't use absorption on any of them?

And then they probably encounter their first human. It didn't go as well as Edda, Aven nor the human has expected.

It would be funny if they don't have visions, but instead use their default skills. People wonder how they can use two elements at the same time... but it's actually not Teyvat's elemental energy, it's just their skills.

Also: They are both extremely confused by humans: Why do they need those weird shiny things to give them abilities? What's up with all those structures? WHY DO THEY NEED TO WEAR CLOTHES?!

If would be funny if they can only communicate via chirps/ honks/ sonar. Because imagine someone giving an extremely long-winded and epic sounding speech and then Edda just... gives the most disappointed chirp.

They can glow, very useful in caves and stuff.

Edda, Aven and Idyia may be friends.

Childe might have tried to fight both Edda and Aven... and it did not go well (They used the big green sword attack).

Wanderer challenges Edda to a race, only for her to casually run past him... while he was flying over water. Cue the entire team (Except Wanderer and Aven) begging her to ferry then across bodies of water. She just ice bridges when she's with a bunch of people.

(Not too sure on what Archon Quest you're on, so if you haven't finished Fontaine's Archon quest, don't read this please) Edda and Furina being water-running buddies. I could imagine them chasing each other while running on water.

Aven being scared of Yae Miko for some reason.

Edda would probably be really good at Genius Invokation TCG, her deck would be Oceanid Taser (Rhodeia/ Oceanid, Fischl and Mirror Maiden... or Thunder manifestation if we're talking about 4.3 deck).

Everyone being a bit confused about Edda and Aven's "disappearing body" thing.

Everyone also being confused about where on Teyvat they came from.

I could imagine both of them being somewhat concerned for Rhodeia of Loch. Like... does she need help or anything? She seems a bit... paranoid to both of them. Edda did eventually managed to get her trust though.

As my best friend likes to say, 'Cs get degrees.' We're all just here to pass 💀 Whenever I finally scrounge up some ingredients, I'll hit you up for some recipes. I think I've been particularly wanting to try my hand at some muffins and brownies so, any recipes relating to those are extra extra appreciated. I've also been wanting to treat myself to drinks one of these weekends so, maybe I'll bake and create some cocktails too lol.

I- what would possess anyone to record audio of themselves talking about picking shit up with their feet?!?!? 😭 Maybe he wants to appeal to the foot fetishists????? Yeah no, dating is so much energy. I feel like I need to work my way up to finding the desire to redownload the apps again lol.

I need unlearn my anxiety and hatred for driving one day lmao but, until then it's me and cabs against the world! They're not too expensive but, the costs definitely pile up. It's also been disgustingly hot here, which doesn't make running around the city any more enjoyable.

My plans for this weekend were to write and fill in some forms for admin stuff I need to do but, between the mini heatwave that hit and fighting off a migraine, it wasn't gonna happen lol. So, I've been mostly catching up on Drag Race! Which has actually been fun. How about you? Get up to anything fun this weekend??

NEW BEGINNINGS, MAY 1-31, 2023

A discerning ear... According to some bio-medical sources, the sense of hearing is the first of the five senses developed in a human being, starting even while as a fetus in the womb, and the last to go at the point of physical death... And for one primarily visual learner like me and many of us, it is one where the input is quite difficult to remember for a long time too... But I noticed that in the Word, this sense is far more talked about regarding our God than the sense of seeing... For we are taught more often that 'God hears', especially sincere and humble prayers of a contrite and repentant heart (not mouth, meaning our deepest desires, cares and sorrows, even unspoken)... And this seems to be key in how we obey His command to love our fellowman too, as in, when we 'play-by-ear' what other people are feeling, saying between the lines, their situations and conditions, before we even utter a word... Much like the sounds of joy and weeping could not be distinguished in our story today, so too often it is difficult for people to sense from our words whether what we say are spoken out of pride and arrogance in our perceived seniority and superiority when we give advice or admonition, or genuine care and concern... But humble hearts are wise and pour forth wisdom... May we then strive for humility and meekness, that as we gain discernment of people, hearing what they are not saying, or trying to say but they cannot, we can always communicate in ways that build up and encourage, that blesses and inspires, that gives the right answer, that brings life and hope and peace...

Gibberish mumbling does not manifest a baptism of the Spirit, but rather exhibiting the fruits thereof to one and all--faith brethren or not, favorite kin or annoying neighbor not withstanding... And we wait for the Spirit, we wait on it, not scream and conjure it into existence, until we feel tingling sensations (when accompanied with hoarseness of voice might actually very well lead to colds or flu rather than the 'Holy Spirit's Presence')... And when we appropriate the Jewish holiday of Pentecost, likewise, when the tongues of fire were sent to manifest that salvation is made available to all mankind--regardless of race and gender; then we fulfill its purpose when we open our lives to be poured out along with our Savior's streams of living water; that love, mercy, grace, forgiveness, reconciliation and eternal life be showered to all...

The wild card and the tactician... Was how one beloved drama nicknamed two of its fiercely competitive characters... In life too, we may often do our best to plan what we want, to strive to get what we believe is best, to carefully and judiciously curate what we present to society because we want them to believe we have perfect lives; but there is always a wild card... In Daniel's book and in the lives of His friends, it is the presence of God, His deliverance and care against the machinations of the enemy... If we worship and believe in the same God, we too can trust in this wild card; so that we can have the courage to break free from the chains of our pre-programmed and puppeteered existence into the wider, more unfamiliar, scarier and more challenging world outside... For in our weakness, He is our strength; and in our doubts, anxiety and uncertainty, He is our guarantee, our sure hope and confidence, our security and peace...

The good neighbour... Seems to be the one commandment of our Savior most of us love to disobey... But truly, even when most of us consider wealth to be a measure of success, it is loving and being good to your neighbour, and living in peace with them--from your nearest housemate or kin, to those living around your abode--which is self-actualization for those of us who proclaim ourselves to belong to the faith named after our Savior... Instead of being rich and of high status in society, may we instead strive everyday to be good neighbors, and so do the will of the One who called us to eternal life, who told us to, "love our neighbour as we love ourselves"...

March of the monitor... Another one of the things I truly miss living in the province is the regular sounding of the monitor lizard; which a former retired office mate said that every "tuk - ko!", means the pay has already been credited to the bank (lol)... Seriously though, because of urbanization and climate change, these creatures' habitat has steadily been degraded... On the spiritual side though, there is much to learn about the faithfulness of the monitor lizards in keeping time and seasons; unfortunately however, such is not the case when we monitor each other's personal or spiritual, mental and psychological performance and achievements... In the Word today we learn that each of us is accountable directly to God for our actions, whether that be to our lifestyle and preferences, how we treat others and make them feel... For a life full of anxiety and effort to prove our worth is vain; and unless you are a monitor lizard, don't monitor other people's life but your own... You can always pray for your concerns and fears, your doubts and inadequacies; and if you are concerned about others, it wouldn't impoverish you to lend a helping hand; and much

more, it enriches your soul to pray for others too...

Different skreeks... One of the joys of living in the farm, which I miss so much living in the city, is the sound of critters at night... I've gotten so used to it that short of fully understanding what these guys are saying, and without looking at a watch, one would know what time of night it is approximately by the pattern of skreeks: few hours before midnight, they make, "skreek-skreek-skreek!" sounds repeatedly... After midnight, the pattern goes: "skrook-skreek, skrook-skreek, skrook-skreek!"... Those are just my interpretations though, as not being an entomologist, I still do not understand "bug language"... What's amazing though, is that our God and Creator has given us the bugs to coexist with, to remind us that if we keep pace with the earth through our daily endeavours, they too mark time and seasons, milestones and breakthroughs on their own terms and manner of communication... May we always learn to appreciate life and all creation, and do our part to preserve it and be the good stewards we were meant to be...

Expecting rudeness... There are certain places and certain people from whom, because of involuntary observation, prior experience and knowledge, one can only expect rudeness, ignorance, tactlessness and entitlement... Which isn't surprising since the ancients, and even the Word, prophesy many people in these days to be so... But as a lifetime observer of people and seeing many time-honored and worthy values degenerate over time, one understands that there are still a few good people who exhibit acts of nobility, grace and kindness, but since they are treasures, are hard to come by and require much discernment... Thankfully, we have a God who triumphs over history and makes sure that our run in it will be filled with His presence and love, that we may manifest these to others too...

Prayer is never intermittent... Probably because I am never a fan of diet and exercise, the word "intermittent", is not exactly one of my favorites (since I have already and will for a long time, associate it with a diet fad)... Just like being healthy starts with the ingrained habit of accepting your body shape and size, age, the effects of gravity, the accumulation of blessings and good things, diet should be preceded by the word "healthy"; and an everyday, every moment, unconscious habit... So I believe it is with prayer and communication with our God and the people He sends our way too... Because life goes on, and for as long as we breathe, as long as we still have the right and capacity to life, we also still have the obligation and ability to pray--not loudly for show or to influence and impress others, but silently, in still small voices that manifest the presence, the stillness, the peace and confidence of faith in a God who is everywhere, who is always willing to listen and respond in His own amazing ways...

God's not deaf... That's worth repeating countless times to ourselves, until it becomes a default part of our system... As we diligently go through the rest of our lives living simply yet generously, in humility and respect, in freedom and fairness... That we have a God who hears our most silent prayers and wishes, and to whom we do not need to shout or scream for acknowledgment like spoiled brats, nor badger and nag repetitively for impact... When we give Him time to talk by being quiet and at peace, by slowing down and listening, He hears and answers, and gives us discernment to learn and understand about the good things He sends our way... May we keep that to heart, and be encouraged and strengthened for the rest of our journey...

Grandparents' pet... Anyone who grew up close to or raised by grandparents can attest to how loving, soothing, and more understanding they are... Like a neighbour's kid this morning, who was crying and screaming because he doesn't want to go to school, but with a few soothing words from grandma, calmed down and reluctantly went ahead with his mom to prepare himself... Maybe that should be our great lesson in life too, as we are besieged by anxiety and worry, insecurity, OCD, PTSD, ADHD, and various other mental health conditions we deny and falsely attribute to us trying to make life perfect and whole... Because we can never have the perfect life with our own efforts; even how much we struggle to project our best; that can only come from the confidence and peace in knowing we have a God who appreciates us, who can relate to our struggles and tolerate our idiosyncrasies, but who always understands and is willing to give us a hand...

Seen and valued... For many of us, it is a sad fact that we only value and recognize people from whom we believe we can reap benefits; but distance ourselves when those same people are in need themselves, not even bothering to give time to ask about their issues and concerns, their priorities and goals... And hurtful as it may seem, but that is normal human nature: to take advantage of people and situations, sometimes even inconveniencing them in inopportune moments, but discarding them when they have been bled dry... But thankfully we have a God of justice and provision; Who always looks out for the good of His people; who gives strength to the weary, deliverance to the abused, recompense to the disadvantaged, and hope and strength to the depleted... May we learn to value others as He values us; that in all situations we may be a blessing, not a burden; that we may be good influences, not burdensome hitchhikers...

You can't make a leaf, but you can be vertically aligned... It seems that the trouble for many of us is we think we can do anything we want if we put our mind to it... Quite the contrary though, for there are far too many things that other people do that we can't, nor can we even have control over our own bodily functions... Sometimes too we think we know everything, but are ignorant of even simple history, of people's personalities, and the workings of the cosmos... And so there is nothing left better for us to do than to humbly accept our shortcomings; and for the rest, to look up and trust that the One who designed and ordered the universe will also consistently put our lives in order... So that we do not subscribe nor compare our milestones and achievements with others; for to each of us is given grace each day, and a chance to do good and great with the lot given to us... That is, when we can't even create a living matter from non-existent ones, when we can't even understand how things and people came to be, what we can do is be vertically aligned to the One who gave us life, and to be horizontally in tuned with others, especially those whom He sent our way...

The maternal instinct... Is what defines true motherhood... To care and nurture, to feed with food and wisdom, to teach and lead well, and to guide in humility and love... And not necessarily having your own physical kids... For there are those who have given birth, yet compete with their children for attention and affirmation, in acting childish, immature and clueless themselves... While there are those who haven't birthed with their bodies but with their hearts, in their wide and deep capacity to understand, to relate, to embrace diversities and quirks, in the love and acceptance they shower upon the difficult, the unlovable, the grumpy, the sarcastic, the bitter and depressed, the know-it-all... For we are all kids by heart, exploring ang journeying through life none the wiser... But for the rest of us who have learned to accept the good and bad while remaining joyful and hopeful, they are the mothers in us; and even with much or bereft of commercialism and trade, deserve to receive a worthy and heartfelt thanks and greeting: Happy Mother's Day...

Lately, as I got older, I have one other favorite Cebuano rendering of a rather deep word, one that I parroted from my late maternal grandparents, "dissimular"--to pretend to do something, but actually having different intentions or ulterior motives... And it seems our story and text today tell us that in order to live the proper life, we have to avoid that; although sadly, a lot of brethren seem to engage in that deplorable habit in a kind of hypocrisy, just to be called religious or holy, but underneath are full of envy and insecurity, fear and anxiety... It is good to heed the words of the apostle; for love indeed, cannot be manifested with fakery; and the false and pretense will always leak out and be discovered... May we be authentic people, in how we love and care for each other, in how we share our God's grace and goodness to one and all...

Anger reveals who we are... This message really hits close to home, especially for the many of us who struggle with our tempers and patience... Because no matter how good we think we may be, how smart and accomplished, how wealthy, how strong in faith and convictions, how high in status, the moments that try our patience and tests our temper bring out the real us... And it is quite easy to feel superior and rant on others when we think they come up short, when we feel they block our way to getting what we want, when we think they commit a social or moral faus pax, than to see that the issue is us--or rather, our lack of understanding, patience, our carefully-masked up insecurity and fear, our photoshopped hypocrisy, that is tethering on the brink of a catastrophic reveal because someone 'got our goat'... May we understand that life is too short to waste energy on getting angry and forcefully demanding to be treated the way we think we deserve, but rather to be patient and appreciative at each little moment we are allowed to breathe, and to enjoy and do good with our short, vapor-like existence in the whole course of history and human interactions...

How the birds and ants see... Is as different as night and day... Like seeing from the 91st story of a tall skyscraper, birds can see a lot, even the whole picture, but may miss the details... Much like people who often generalize things but fail to understand and be empathetic to the needs and issues of others... While those who see like ants can nitpick at the tiniest details, but can't even see what's beyond the corner, unless they have as keen a sense of smell as these our little creature friends... Thankfully we have a God who can see in both manners and beyond; so that even if the world neglects us, fail to see what we are really going through, uncognizant of our situations and the issues we face, He is always attentive to our needs, and desires that every day, in every way, we are at peace, and we enjoy all the love in His presence... May we have the humility to perceive, and the stillness and patience to wait on Him and His leading...

We are only as good as our word... And we show whom and what we worship by how we deal with others through our words... Such is the case of our story today, of stolen amulets and figurines believed to bring good luck; of the sincerity, respect and consideration of our talk; and the manner in which we pray... For we do not serve a God that we can hold physically in hand, nor is He deaf and blind, nor His knowledge of languages limited, nor does He need us to touch amulets and figurines to invoke Him, nor for us to shout to the top of our lungs to call on Him or show the world that we worship Him... For He who created us is everywhere, and He did not manifest Himself to Moses from winds and the storms but through a gentle whisper... Likewise, we can only pray in secret, from the bottoms of our hearts; and we can only perceive Him as we obey His Word to do good to our fellowman regardless of who they may be, or whether they do good to us in return... Our God is Creator, He is in creation; He can never be held nor stolen nor adored and fellowshipped with exclusively, but in wisdom, in love, in peace and order amongst the chaos, in humility and grace amidst life's harassments and tragedies...

Who knows us... A famous leadership expert says that in terms of promotion, it's not whom you know that's key, but who knows you... Funny, considering that in the workplace and in society, a lot more people would suck up to the powers-that-be, even putting others down just so they could rise up... Good thing to know that in the eyes of our Maker and Savior, it is His knowledge of us that ensures our endurance and deliverance... I never fail to get amazed at certain people whose prayers seem to always get good answers, and realize that indeed He is attentive to their cries, no matter when and where, and of whatever kind... Are our lives known by our God? Can He distinguish us inside out? Are our actions to Him and others distinguishable and marked with His presence, love and grace, and not for the likes and impressions we crave from people and faith brethren?... Even if we are incognito and irrelevant, unknown to the rest of the world, may we find confidence and peace, in the daily effort and connection, in the daily grace and privilege that we are known by Him...

Fruits borne by grace... We believe we have been saved from the death of our souls through the grace of our Maker and Savior... Pre-Jesus' time, Moses also experienced such when he repented of his murder, and self-exiled from civilization to live the nomadic life... And when such grace comes true in our lives, regardless of what we are and what we believe in, we become less selfish and judgmental, we become more giving and understanding, we stop imposing our own beliefs and convictions on others, we stop thinking we are better just because we attend church regularly, we have more degrees, we are more entitled because we have more connections, we have accumulated more friends and family, status and wealth... Grace bearing fruit in us is like that of Moses: transformed, reformed, stripped bare of the sandals of vanity; for in the Holy place of God's presence in our lives, there should be room only for listening to His will and plan for us, obedience to His leading, and doing greater things not by our intellect and strength, but by His power, and for His glory...

Keep on walking... My late maternal grandpa reached 94 in relative good health due to a virtually stress-free disposition, exercising in his latter years through daily neighborhood hikes... And I just learned from a drama show that when drunk, taking a hike helps sober people up... One realizes that life indeed is challenging and burdensome; but a hike, a stroll, a regularly-cadenced stride helps to calm our nerves and alleviates anxiety, with the movement of which even modern-day doctors say is one of the most effective ways to prevent and cure inflammation, which they say is the leading cause of diseases... Yes, at whatever age, especially in our advancing years, as long as we keep to the safe paths, and watch out for falls and slips, steady, regular walking helps us achieve a good and healthy life... So it seems in the spiritual too: even with tiredness and disillusionment, diminished capacity and resources, discouragements and setbacks, as long as we keep on the right path on the journey and be careful not to give up, give in, slip up or fall down hard, we can hold on in hope and faith... Tiredness and sore bones are only temporary predicaments, not final judgments; we are tired and sore because we have done something, we have exerted our effort; but what should keep us on and help us endure is because we are doing, we are exerting, we keep on walking...

Tuck Everlasting, and family... Was a fun read and an eye opener too... For many of us want to live and stay young longer; so much so that we do everything we can, and pay as much in procedures and for food and fad diets and exercise to do so... But taking it from a family who was always on the move because they wouldn't want to call too much attention on themselves when they never grew old and their neighbors did, would mean that such desires for immortality is alienating and insular... For our God has ordained that life and time take their course and toll on us, to develop and make us grow in wisdom and acceptance; and true beauty is manifested in us when we gracefully embrace our age, our status, our diminished capacities; because that would mean we are ever closer to Him in dependence, in spiritual and physical presence... Yes, the gray hairs and wrinkles, the wobbly knees and aching backs are bothersome, and friends and loved ones may leave, neglect or abandon us to move on to their next exciting life-phases; but if we can find confidence and hope that our Savior had prayed for us and loves us so much, and He intends in every way to provide and care for us, then the advancing and twilight years are more than welcome... The farther we go and the longer we spend in life means the closer we get to our ultimate victory in His kingdom...

That one candle stand... In the church of the sectarian school I teach, there is a religious icon assemblage of a half-naked Christ, fronted by rows of 12 candlesticks, with 5 directly in front of the icon, 6 in the next row, and 1 alone in the third... I realize that it depicts the disciples after the Lord's death and resurrection; particularly after the treacherous one, Judas, committed suicide, and was replaced by Barnabas the Encourager... And so we learn that in our faith and life journey, we get into our breakthroughs, we persevere and endure not only of what we are, what we have and what we believe in; but because our God sends "Encouragers" - - friends and family whom we do not realize become our real life coaches, and who and with whom we share our faith and reason for hope... May we not let the spirit of fear, pride, discouragement and disillusionment make us lose sight of our life's purpose and goal; may we be sensitive to the needs of others and not just say in words but act to encourage and inspire; while we open ourselves up to the encouragement of those who truly care for us, to guard ourselves well, yet to not forget the lesson from those who seek to belittle, insult, oppress, abuse and take advantage of us... For no matter what we encounter in our journey, we are confident that our Savior who finished His work for our salvation, will also complete His work in us as we live that gift and grace throughout our lives...

There could be a party or celebration (could even be Christmas, NYE or anything), maybe a fair, or somewhere where there are food and fun things to do. Maybe even a concert or music/race event. Cotton candies, ice creams, or something like that can be relevant. You'll probably be enjoying with friends or family members, having lot of fun and feeling like a child again. There's the energy of going back to good days, feeling free and relieved, very calm. It's like you are in a place (mentally) where you know things can actually be good for you, and you're kinda in control of your fears and emotions. It could be at evening/night, with a very low light. But somehow you'll end up being noticed by your person: you may be doing/Saying something that kinda moves the attention of the closer crowd on you or simply, being destined, they can see you no matter how many people and low light you're surrounded by. You shine on your own to them. I think they may approach you and probably ask you to go with them (for some: maybe someone hits you unvoluntarily and your ice cream falls so your person will offer you to buy a new one, even if it wasn't their fault -maybe their friend's though-). You'll probably think if to follow them and separate from your friends/family (you may not trust their intentions immediately, but there are many people around), but you'll follow your heart. You're gonna know if you can trust them. I think your Guides will send you some kind of permission too (maybe you'll feel it, or see a bird or an angel number -very likely this last one- around, that you know it's your sign to trust this person). You may even end up dancing alone with them to some kind of music. This person seems fun.

I feel it can happen on a cozy afternoon/evening. Maybe on the way back home from work/school. It could be sunny for some, rainy for others. The type of weather will only move the location of the meeting, you're gonna meet them anyway (e.g. if it's sunny you may meet while riding your bycicle in a park or enjoying the warm sun rays -maybe they're running in the same place or sitting on a bench nearby; if it's raining, you may meet up while finding shelter in a bar or public place, you're gonna smile at each other being soaked). You literally won't expect to meet them, maybe the day didn't start too well for some; for someone else instead, it's gonna be a moment in which things are starting to get better: even at work, you may have had some problems with colleagues, but that day things will suddenly turn for the good (you may have even gained a promotion out of nowhere). It's like this person, being in your energy, brings you good luck. And around your meeting you're gonna experience a shift for the best in your life: from mood, to work, to love as well with them appearing (but in relationships in general, even colleagues family and friends). You'll both literally manifest each other. Before meeting them, you may had doubts about your abilities, and felt lonely for a while as if your life was just a mess in all fields (career and love in particular, maybe friends/family too); you've probably tried to manifest your person for a while but life came in between and you almost lost your hopes. But your prayers will been noticed by your Guides and when you least expect (when the time will be right), you're gonna be given what you wish for (and they too -feels like mirror energy).

I think this is the pile that may gets messages and signs through music, messages/words and images. Sometimes angel numbers too. Some of these signs may not be always clear, you need to be open to see them: sometimes you may not see them, especially when you feel upset and search for signs in the wrong places. You may see things like a waterdrop shaped as a heart, or something like that (like in your pic, near the donut... can you see the little heart?). You probably know that there's someone in contact with you on a higher level (maybe you have a telepathic connection too, or you just feel them around), that you are destined to meet this person and be with them, but sometimes you may get lost in your past thoughts. You may even kinda lose hope, fearing that they will never arrive or not find you. But they're your destined person, they'll find you anyway (the "how" is not your problem, you only need to trust). This fear/overthinking is delaying your meeting cause you're not open enough to being guided to (and by) your person. It seems you're gonna meet them the moment you'll learn how to keep a quiet mind, be yourself, be brave, and not be scared to see that things can actually change. You may even get a job offer around the same period (maybe even from your person). You will be aware of your power, despite still having doubts (those are normal, we're humans and we'll always have doubts here and there: the important thing is to not let them stop us and our dreams), you're gonna feel more confident in your skin. Fortunately I do see some manifestation of this energy with the 8 of Wands, Don't Stop, and In the Near Future. It seems that there is going to be an event where you may end up with a significant other or find a community of people that really understand your need of having genuine, healthy connections, because they want it too. The Lovers also talks about alignment and mirroring. So since you've been very adamant about having good connections and being true to yourself despite the pain it cost you (plus learning the lesson of that pain), the Universe has granted you the opportunity to actually make those kinds of connections. Yet, your guides also want you to know that in order for these connections to grow you can't go in them with the 9 of Swords baggage. More emotions and willingness to surrender to your intuition. Less leaning on logic and trying to do what you think is right. Embodying moon energy. This pile is made of only swords and cups, and personally when I see this kind of suit combination I like to think of it as logic vs. emotion. And deeming you have so many more cup cards with one sword card, you're meant to experience your emotional side. And yes, it is in you...it is. I'm not going to lie I 1000% understand why this may be difficult for some. Why lean on emotions when they can be messy and not lead anywhere you need to be? Leaning on logic can be good as it helps you strategize, yet leaning too much on that can cut you off of feeling human and stop this King of Cups energy of emotional maturation. The answer here is compromise. For some of you, this compromise also means being more emotionally honest to others in your life, and actually getting your emotional needs met with the 9 of Cups here. And being honest with yourself & stop pretending shit don't hurt your feelings with the 4 of cups & trying to intellectualize your feelings. Because where is that getting you in terms of processing your emotions? This is not to clock you as I have this issue as well, but it's just to get you started on thinking about this. When we rationalize our feelings too much we miss our intuition that was trying to tell us someone was really try to play in our face, but instead we made a reason for it instead of trusting it. Speaking of, I keep looking at this trust card and it's screaming that this pile needs to start trusting their intuition more. Again, with compromise make sure to balance a healthy amount between logic and emotion as you start this process of emotional maturation. The King of Cups is a romantic king, but Kings still have to make logical decision as well as emotional ones. There has to be a balance. I feel like with this Ace of Swords here there may be an event (doesn't have to be dramatic) that will trigger you to begin thinking about your emotional side. Like what someone may say to you for example. This hand in the 4 of cups will only hold up for so long until it just drops the cup on you and say "hey baby, you need to pay attention." That why the proceeding card is the 5 of cups, being sad that this is the reality of our emotional state. But the thing is, it's a beautiful new beginning for your Pile 2. Yes its hard in a society where the whole spectrum of human emotions are look down upon. Yet, you need to do this introspective work for you. You can't keep going around not listening to your own inner guidance. You have an intuition for a reason. And let's start processing those emotional blockages so you can become more confident in your emotions just like your logic. I'm rooting for you Pile 2! It's okay if this is a messy journey, it's what you're meant to experience. Your guides will definitely make sure you see it through. Later!

Cards: Justice--6 of cups--Death--10 of Cups--Wait--Yes--Ask Your Angels

Patience. Living in the present. Balance. This pile is meant to experience what it is like to go with the flow. Especially with this Wait card here. I'm really feeling that some of yall in this pile are very much future oriented, and are always looking for the next big thing to happen with the Death card here. Yet, since Justice does represent Libra, there's a need to slow down and wait for a time of balance. It's like getting of the treadmill at the gym. Do you just go lift 30 pounds after sweating out 10 miles on the treadmill, or do you take a minute a wait it out for your body to balance itself again? This pile seems very Venusian. It's meant to experience slowness and happiness and peace with the 6 of cups and 10 of cups after a Death period. With the 6 of cups you may reminisce on life before this Death period came. To clarify, I mean Death period as in any significant change in your life that basically was so pivotal it changed your life perspective ever since. It's okay to reminisce but don't forget you're meant to experience living in the present. And trust me that's hard, that's why I'm glad this ask your angels card is here. Because they want you to lean on them after Death phase. Because the Death card is powerful transformation on a spiritual level as well. I'm getting that for some yall are meant to experience what peace is like after the storm. Maybe you've always had a strong family/community (6 of cups) that shielded you from such events (sheltered is coming to me as well). But now its time for you to learn how to experience stressful events and understand that this too shall pass. And be patient with yourself in the process. I'm getting the sense this pile is young, hence why this "learning to experience stressful events and understanding it will pass" is coming up. And understand you can't rush to this 10 of cups. You have to embody the Justice and Wait card and let time balance things out and go with the flow. And understand after awhile the past is behind you. I don't want to come off as toxic positivity, but this group may not have had too much experience with how to deal with life's stressful moments. And I'm getting yall are very introverted especially with two Scorpio cards here (6 of cups and Death). Even if you aren't young, you can't always shield yourself away from life's bad moments. And with this yes card, yes you will make it through and you’ll be okay, no matter how long the healing process takes. One thing I learned is that life will play so you gotta play back and lean back. "Daddy, Katniss is here!" Julie Mellark hollered. Flying across the patio in her excitement, she crashed into her father. Peeta barely managed to avoid letting the cupcake display topple onto the patio floor from the force of her impact. He laughed under his breath at her grimace. "Sorry," she murmured.

That was his girl. A sixth birthday party was a lot of excitement to keep under wraps.

"It's alright."

Once the tri-tower cupcake stand was past the danger of kissing the paver stones, Peeta stilled Julie with a firm hold on her shoulders. The excitement vibrated off her. She practically buzzed like a honey bee. "That's great, but maybe you need to reign your excitement in a little, yeah?"

They'd gotten to know Katniss well last summer when she worked as Julie's caretaker for Peeta over summer break. She was probably Julie's favorite person ever.

Honestly, he couldn't blame his daughter. Katniss had that effect on both of them. His feelings were more racing heart and pleasant warmth settling in his belly than the thrill of potential birthday gifts.

"Let's take a minute and breathe, okay?" Peeta smiled, encouraging her to get her feelings in control, just a little.

Julie was an excitable kid, and all that energy combined with racing thoughts got her into trouble sometimes.

After closing her eyes for a moment and taking some deep breaths, Peeta asked, "You better now?"

Julie nodded. "Yeah, I think so."

"Good. Can I tell you a secret?"

"What is it, Daddy?"

"I've been looking forward to seeing Katniss today myself."

Julie narrowed her eyes at her dad. "Why's that? Do you love her?"

If Peeta'd had a drink in his mouth, he would have spit it out all over his daughter's clothes. "What?"

"You heard me. Do you love Katniss? Because she is totally perfect for you." Julie said, contemplating him.

Peeta glanced over his shoulder at the patio door. No sign of Katniss yet. "Why would you ask me that?" he asked, flustered at his daughter's bluntness.

Maybe he should have let her run around half-cocked. At least she wouldn't be harassing him about his feelings for Katniss now.

"That's not for you to worry about anyway. Grownup relationships are for grownups, and I'm not going to date anyone just because you like her a lot."

Julie rolled her eyes. "You just said that you missed her too! Okay, Daddy, fine. Let's just say we've both missed Katniss. I think that I like her way better than my mommy."

"You don't remember your mother," Peeta said. He rubbed his forehead in preparation for the migraine Julie was manifesting if she didn't drop the subject of him and Katniss soon.

"That's why I like Katniss better!"

Peeta definitely liked Katniss better than Delly, but he didn't think it needed saying to his daughter on her sixth birthday. Julie's biological mother, his ex-high school girlfriend, had signed all parental rights over to him two months after their daughter was born. He only ever heard from her when she wanted money. He'd stopped sending it years ago.

"Julie-" he began, only to be interrupted.

"Never mind that, Daddy. There she is!"

Sure enough, Katniss was coming out the sliding glass door to the backyard. Her arms were filled with a large box covered in Lisa Frank wrapping paper, complete with a neon pink and green bow crowning the top.

Peeta swallowed the lump in his throat that formed upon laying eyes on her again. He hadn't seen Katniss since the end of August when she returned to teaching at Panem Consolidated High School. Cripes- he didn't know such a thing was possible, but she was even more attractive than he remembered, all warm smile and searching grey eyes. He watched her gaze rove the backyard, searching until she finally landed on the two of them.

Julie waved her towards them excitedly, and Peeta flashed her a quick grin. Katniss walked over to them, hanging out at the cake table. She immediately set the package on the ground and pulled Julie into a hug.

Katniss wore a long dress, perfect for the warm early October afternoon, and her hair was braided around her head like a crown. Although the look was old-fashioned, Peeta really liked it on her.

It made his chest ache, watching her interact with his daughter.

"We've missed having you around the place to keep me and Jules in line," Peeta said, hoping his feelings weren't written all over his face.

"Hey!" Julie protested, letting go of Katniss. She crossed her arms over her chest and stared at her father petulantly.

"Well, it's true, isn't it?" Peeta reminded her. "And I said we, so you shouldn't take it personally, kiddo."

Katniss waved her hands at them, visibly amused. "I've missed you guys too. And there's no need to be embarrassed about your feelings, Julie. Real feelings shouldn't stay bottled up forever."

"I guess you're right. Eventually, you might blow up from all that pressure," Julie agreed. She seemed confident in her explanation that merged human emotion and science.

"Exactly."

"Katniss, what did you get me for my birthday?" Julie asked, changing the subject. Her eyes were focused wholly on the boldly-wrapped package now sitting on the ground.

"This thing?" Katniss said, winking at Peeta discretely. "Don't tell anyone, but I got you a sword."

Julie stared wide-eyed. "Seriously?"

"Yep."

"Wow. You bought me a sword? I'm going to be so dangerous! Watch out, everyone," Julie exclaimed before running off to tell her cousins.

"Please, god, tell me you didn't buy Julie a sword," Peeta said, turning to her.

"I bought her a sword. But here's the catch-it's a lego kit," Katniss reassured. "No sharp edges. She'll just have to watch where she swings it inside your house."

Once their laughter died down, Peeta scrubbed a hand through his hair. "Seriously though, it's so good to see you again. Not kidding about that at all."

"Neither was I," Katniss admitted, shrugging. "Tell you the truth, I'm pretty attached to you guys."

"Are you seeing anyone right now?" Peeta asked, gathering his nerve. He figured it was now or never.

Katniss's eyes went wide. "Are you asking me on a date?"

"Yes," Peeta began hesitantly. Shit, he realized that he should have thought this through more, taking in Katniss's look of disbelief. Damn Julie and her encouragement. "No. Maybe?"

Katniss bit her lip, and he hoped he hadn't overstretched the boundary between them.

Peeta ran a hand through his hair again. "Dinner. With us. Would you like to have dinner with Julie and me next week? I'll cook. She'd really like that."

"What about you?"

"Me?"

"You. Would you like to have dinner with me, not because of Julie?"

Peeta sighed. "Yes, I would."

Katniss leaned in close, surprising the hell out of him by kissing his cheek, all the way down near the corner of his mouth. "I would love to see you next week."

started thinking about a general tropes swap/alteration for various fantasy races. here are a few:

dwarves - widely regarded as the most magical of races, all dwarves have a natural connection to the earth. their gifts manifest in many different ways, some of the most treasured being healing, building, and finding magic. it's well known that dwarven finder mages can hear precious gemstones 'singing' to them, and are thus incredibly skilled at mining. there are also rumors that skilled dwarves are able to 'grow' their own minerals and gems, and possibly even manipulate time in a certain area in order to delay or hasten the decay of whatever is inside. perhaps due to judicious application of these varied skills, dwarven cities are renowned for their elegant architecture. dwarves believe in learning from the past, not only by worshipping their ancestors, but also through extensive education of their peoples. researchers above all, dwarves rarely hoard their wealth (finding it too easy to accrue more as needed), but are self-sufficient enough that it is rare to find a dwarf using their talents as mage-for-hire; as such, it is often seen as a mark of status for a city to have a resident dwarven mage. while dwarves supposedly welcome any willing and talented person to their universities, they live constantly steeped in such intense magic that it is a rare person indeed who is able endure the energies of their homes long enough to learn dwarven magic.

elves - this long-lived race is rarely seen in 'civilized' society, preferring to wander the wilderness. while elves may look delicate, they are vicious fighters well-skilled in unarmed combat, and capable of using weaponry to great effect. elves tend to live in small, nomadic tribes, and their culture can vary wildly from tribe to tribe. in some places, they are looked upon as vicious raiders, in others known to be swindlers; elves live much longer than most other races, and are often not above extracting debts from distant descendants, or traveling wide swaths of land, raiding from towns many years after the last assault has faded from most inhabitants' memories. however, in other parts of the world a visit from an elven clan is viewed as something to celebrate; their wide travels bring them in contact with many other cultures and they may bring interesting new technology or goods with them that, with some luck, can be successfully bartered for. it is said that the reason for the elven way of life is entirely due to their longevity: elves grow bored living in one place for too long, and require constant stimulation to keep them interested in anything. even their democratic government, which allows for a rotational merit-based leadership, is said to be due to elves getting tired of holding any one role for more than a few years at a time. they are known to have a great interest in unusual objects or tales, and the elven oral tradition is especially rich, though few other races are invited to hear their stories told. one widely-known story is of an elf who, after robbing the wrong dwarf, was magically restrained to a single city for two hundred years. while the elf was treated humanely and given every opportunity to learn new skills, the studying, unchanging views, and relentless monotony of it all withered the elf away until it finally died, not long before its scheduled release. perhaps due to this old tale, or perhaps because they hold no affinity for magic, elves are not often seen near dwarven cities.

orcs - it is said that orcs are strong enough to know to be gentle. there is an saying, 'like an orc child holds a butterfly', used to describe anyone who is careful to apply only necessary force in a given situation. while the actual strength of any individual orc may vary, the race as a whole does tend to live true to this maxim. they are known diplomats, with a culture that places intense value on caring for family and especially anyone helpless under their protection. in the country, shepherding is seen as a typically 'orcish' occupation, with many a joking comparison drawn between an orc's thick hair and tusks and those of their flock. however, in larger society, the orcish emphasis on family can often take a turn into more stratified society, with complicated social rules, elaborate fashion, and grand displays of wealth. similarly, orcs hold a strong view of what is theirs and can be especially vicious in defending it, making land disputes quite volatile despite the desire of all involved parties to avoid outright battle. this has led to orcs having perhaps the most advanced system of law of all the races, with lawyers being an especially valued job and petty disputes cropping up incredibly often. just as often, these disputes are taken to court; the most litigious of races, orc court is viewed as incredibly complicated and confusing by most other races. when negotiations do break down, orcs are fearsome soldiers, a worthwhile ally or dangerous enemy. once pushed to the point of violence, orcs generally do not stop until they have completely crushed their foes.

humans - humans are widely known for their incredible constitution. while not as strong as orcs, nor as long-lived as elves, nor as magical as dwarves, humans are by far the most adaptable to any environment and are capable of handling greater extremes of temperature and surviving at higher altitudes than other races. human society is more prone to change than any other except perhaps elven clans, with the style of government differing place to place, and often turbulent within each city-state. humans have a reputation for greed; while dwarves tend to possess more rare minerals, they do not covet them nearly as much as humans. even the highest-status orc family tends to care more for spending their money in order to provide for themselves and their own; humans also invest in lavish goods when the opportunities arise, but they often hoard their wealth away in banks, individual homes, or even isolated hidden caches. it's also been noted that many humans even collect and ascribe high value to unusual objects of all kinds. one human generally focuses on a specific type of item, be that old buttons, coins, shells, or so on, but seemingly any rare object can be desired by a human, and once in their possession they refuse to part with their treasures for anything less than large sums. human greed may be the reason they are regarded as the most warlike of all races, often wanting to expand and possess more land, people, wealth, and so on. however, humans are also known for producing incredible music and art, and master bards and artists are widely praised across the land.
