Cómo la comunicación construye significados, influencia social y conexiones culturales.

En su texto «La Comunicación», Carlos Mangone (2002) aborda la comunicación como un fenómeno complejo que se extiende más allá de la simple transmisión de información. Propone una definición amplia que integra distintos matices y modalidades, y la describe como como una actividad humana y social que moldea el conocimiento, los valores y la percepción de la realidad. Este enfoque reconoce la comunicación como un acto intencional y polisémico, es decir, un concepto con múltiples significados que depende del contexto en que se produce.

La comunicación es una forma de la interacción social intencional que actúa sobre los modos de conocimiento y de valoración de los actores sociales, y ayuda a dar significado a la realidad; se produce en un cierto contexto cultural, a través de información codificada (Mangone, 2002).

A través de su cualidad polisémica, Mangone explica que el acto de comunicar puede referirse tanto al intercambio recíproco e igualitario de ideas como a la transmisión unilateral de información, frecuentemente a través de medios masivos. En el primer caso, se trata de una interacción bidireccional en la que emisor y receptor participan activamente en un intercambio significativo. Este tipo de comunicación promueve la construcción conjunta de sentido, en línea con el concepto latino communico, que significa ‘poner en común’ o ‘compartir’. En cambio, la comunicación unidireccional, característica de los medios de comunicación de masas, tiene como objetivo influir en el receptor, sin la necesidad de generar una participación activa de éste. Esta variante suele asociarse con la manipulación de información, en la que el receptor es visto más como un objeto de persuasión que como un participante.

A partir de esta distinción, Mangone explora tres niveles de fuerza en la comunicación: influencia, persuasión y manipulación. En la interacción diaria, toda comunicación tiene un grado de influencia, ya que la información recibida afecta al receptor de alguna forma. La persuasión va un paso más allá de esta influencia general y ocurre cuando el emisor busca que el receptor adopte un punto de vista o realice ciertas acciones, pero sin coartar su libertad de decisión. Este proceso es común en ámbitos como la publicidad, donde se emplean mensajes para influir en decisiones de consumo. En los casos de manipulación, el receptor es expuesto a mensajes con un grado de influencia tan fuerte que la posibilidad de elegir queda restringida. Esta forma de comunicación es frecuente en sistemas autoritarios o en medios concentrados que limitan la diversidad de información.

Mangone también plantea diversas clasificaciones de la comunicación, considerando tanto el número de receptores como el contexto en el que ocurre. Desde esta perspectiva, identifica la microcomunicación (interacciones cara a cara), la mesocomunicación (interacciones en instituciones) y la macrocomunicación (comunicación de masas). La primera se caracteriza por el contacto directo, mientras que la segunda utiliza recursos formales e informales en un entorno institucional, los cuales permiten tanto la transmisión de mensajes diferidos como el intercambio inmediato. La comunicación de masas, por otro lado, se vale de recursos tecnológicos para llegar a una gran cantidad de personas, frecuentemente empleando mensajes que son unidireccionales y que buscan la adhesión o el convencimiento de sus receptores.

Otro concepto clave en el análisis de Mangone es el de las redes de comunicación. La sociedad está estructurada a través de múltiples redes de conexión interpersonal, institucional y masiva que permiten la circulación de información. Estas redes no solo transmiten datos, sino que también organizan y delimitan el acceso a la información al establecer jerarquías y normativas en la transmisión de mensajes. Este concepto es útil para comprender cómo el flujo de información afecta el poder de decisión de los individuos y los grupos, además de influir en la creación de consensos sociales y culturales.

Finalmente, el autor destaca la comunicación no verbal como un aspecto fundamental en la interacción humana. Antes de que surgiera el lenguaje, el ser humano se comunicaba a través del espacio, los gestos, el contacto visual y otros elementos no verbales. Estos factores no solo complementan la comunicación verbal, sino que también facilitan la comprensión de mensajes y adaptaciones culturales. La cultura audiovisual actual ha ampliado la importancia de este tipo de comunicación, especialmente en contextos globalizados donde los individuos deben adaptarse a códigos no verbales de otras culturas.

Danny thinks he's done a wonderful job all things considered. His city is safe, no one has died yet, no major injuries, Vlad had screwed off after Danny beat him within an inch of his afterlife (Danny learned that Vlad was a revenant abusing dirty ectoplasm for powers-not a halfa), ect.

Most of his rogues gallery also stopped bothering him once it became clear he was having trouble keeping his increased power in check and was trying hard not to hurt them. Unfortunately there was one who refused to leave him alone. A warrior princess was demanding his hand in marriage as she needed to be married by the summer solstice of next year or the throne would be passed down to her younger sister, who was already married.

It didn't matter how many times he said no, she kept coming back and challenging him for his hand. Each time she came back stronger and with new tactics and weapons to try. He was starting to fear she might actually win one day. That day might be sooner rather than later as her latest scheme was cutting it close.

Deciding that 1. Amity didn't need him anymore if he closed the portals 2. He was probably going to have to leave anyway if he loses and 3. He didn't have a future in this world as Fenton anymore he leads her on a wild goose chase back into the GZ and causes the portals to collapse in on themselves. The princess laughs, thinking he had given up. But no.

Danny put a curse on himself to turn him into a bat for the next year or so, a full month longer than the princess had left to find a spouse. She screams. Appearently she had a phobia of bats, who knew? Anyway he was left alone to fly through the Infinite Realms and find a new home.

He found a new world easily thanks to the natural portals of the IR and crossed though. Immediately being pelted on all sides by freezing cold rain was not what he expected but its what he got as he flew over a sign that proclaimed the city beneath him was called Gotham. The little glowing white bat flew through the night for hours before seeing a fruit bowl laying innocently on a kitchen counter through a window. Whats more it was in some giant manor so the occupants probably wouldn't mind if he ate an orange or two.

Right?

Needless to say a kid around the age of 11 or twelve walked in on him clutching an apple like his life depended on it while furiously munching. The kid looked...excited? He started going on about names and what he would need to care for him. Danny wasn't really listening, he didn't realize how hungry he had been until he started eating. He waited until the kid had looked away to turn himself and his apple invisible. This bothered the kid who looked suspicious but went to look for "the bat" anyway.

Later, while Danny was taking a shower in the kitchen sink to wash off the remains of his meal (I headcanon that Danny is a bit of a neat-freak) some other guy walked in holding an empty coffee mug and wearing eyebags that would put a raccoon to shame. They just stared at eachother for a solid few seconds before Danny started squeeking in rage and covering himself with the washcloth he was using to scrub himself clean. It looked like something out of a cartoon. Tim thought he was hallucinating but why would he hallucinate a glowing white bat with hearts all around it (that part isn't real) taking a shower in the kitchen sink. Was his subconscious trying to tell him something??

The next victim person to spot him was Duke who just stood in his doorway as this glowing white bat rolled an orange down the hallway. He decided this was a problem for the night crew and went to tell them.

Alfred saw a small shock of white fur and heard squeeking. His first thought was 'rat' and he didn't even hesitate. Danny dodged 3 bullets and got the hell out of the kitchen.

The batfam are debating on whether this was a shifter or an meta animal that was experimented on.

Il 22 luglio 2011, dopo mesi di scrupolosi preparativi, Anders Behring Breivik fece esplodere un'autobomba davanti alla sede del governo di Oslo, uccidendo otto persone e ferendone decine. Poi guidò fino all'isola di Utoya, una piccola isola a 40 chilometri dalla capitale norvegese, dove aprì il fuoco delle sue armi d’assalto automatiche contro il campo estivo annuale dell'ala giovanile del partito laburista: 69 persone vennero uccise, di cui 33 adolescenti, prima che il killer si arrendesse alla polizia. L’efferatezza di quell’azione, spinta anche da ideali nazisti, pose un intero paese di fronte ad un dilemma, che si espresse nel processo a Breivik, che lo porta a condanna un anno più tardi, nel 2012. In Norvegia infatti, la pena massima detentiva è di 21 anni. Per questo caso fu utilizzata una clausola, usata per la prima volta dopo decenni: il condannato può essere trattenuto a tempo indeterminato se ancora considerato un pericolo per la società. Da ciò deriva che Brevik può richiedere un'udienza sulla libertà vigilata dopo dieci anni dalla condanna: situazione già avvenuta nel 2022, dieci anni dopo la condanna del 2012, e che si può richiedere ad intervalli regolari temporali. Da una parte, la clausola implica probabilmente una condanna all'ergastolo “fattivo”, dall'altra apre anche alla possibilità che Breivik possa richiedere udienze annuali sulla libertà condizionale “per dimostrare che è cambiato”. Al primo tentativo, presentandosi con il saluto nazista e una fascia dei suprematisti bianchi al braccio, non è che gli è andata proprio benissimo, e ritenuto lucido e non malato di mente, è stato rinchiuso nuovamente nel carcere di massima sicurezza, dove passa le sue giornate in una cella di tre stanze, giocando con i videogiochi e guardando la Tv, in quasi totale isolamento.

Il caso di Breivik, al netto di altri fatti (mi limito a dire che nel 2016 vinse in primo grado contro il Governo Norvegese per violazione dei diritti Umani in quanto detenuto isolato, pena ribaltata poi da un Grado Superiore Giuridico dello stesso paese) è stato uno di quei momenti in cui si è usata la legge come palcoscenico ma anche come megafono per lo stato di diritto. Il Primo Ministro Norvegese dell’epoca, Jens Stoltenberg, alla messa funebre delle vittime disse: "Al male reagiremo con più democrazia e più umanità".

La vicenda di Alfredo Cospito poteva essere l’occasione per un confronto, secondo i più alti valori umani (la politica, il bene comune, il diritto alla salute, la giustizia) su temi fondamentali per lo stare insieme. Che non si riduce solo alla “grazia” o alla rivolta contro il potere, alla sicurezza dell’apparato o alla sua soppressione, per inquadrare gli estremi della vicenda. La stiamo già perdendo.

EPILOGUE: HAPPILY EVER AFTER OR WHATEVER

Light and noise slam into Eddie like a wall the second he lets himself into his own damn apartment, and he nearly trips over a small mountain of shoes. They’re not his—he’d learned early on that he had to put his shoes away in the teeny coat closet or else he would trip on the damn things, just like now. And he definitely didn’t leave the lights on like this. He hardly ever uses them, just so he can save on the electric bill.

The noise—well, no one can accuse Eddie Munson’s home of being a quiet place, but it usually only reaches these decibels when he’s in residence.

“Bunch of heathens,” he mutters, adding his own work boots to the pile. He rounds the corner into the small room that doubles as a living and dining space and the source of the noise gets even louder when he appears. Mrs. Mangone even bangs on her ceiling in protest, but Eddie ignores it—she always forgives him when he helps her get canned goods down from her highest shelf in her kitchen.

“Eddie!” Henderson yells, followed by a chorus from the rest of their friends, and the smile he’s been smothering since he walked in the door finally escapes.

The kid goes for a hug and gets a headlock and noogie before Eddie finally lets him off with a slap on the back, only to be toppled by Sinclair, Little Wheeler, and Mayfield flinging themselves at him all at once. He’s not convinced Max was going for a hug so much as gleefully trying to take him down, but the effect is the same—a bunch of dumb kids he loves piling onto him because they love him enough to make the trek from Indiana to Chicago and see him play.
