The primary thing a girl is taught in her life, is to be a caregiver. They are told to be an obedient daughter who listens to her parents' decisions, an obedient wife who supports her husband and takes care of her children, an obedient daughter in law who takes care of the in laws. Girls are taught to fit themselves in a box. She can't be too ambitious, can't be too opinionated, can't express her desires or sexuality. Even working women are expected to take care of the household otherwise they are called selfish. At every step, she is designed to put the needs of others before her own. Ek achhi ladki dusro ka khyaal rakhti hai. Ek achhi ladki chup reheti hain. We see most of our mothers being the exact potrait of the bhale ghar ki bahu beti. But we also see them losing themselves and their individuality over time. It is a curse disguised as a blessing to be a bhale ghar ki bahu beti.

Desi gangster series ‘Tribhuvan Mishra: CA Topper’ starring Manav Kaul to release on July 18

Manav Kaul, Tillotama Shome, Shweta Basu Prasad-starrer desi gangster series ‘Tribhuvan Mishra: CA Topper’ is all set to premiere on July 18 on Netflix.

On Friday, the makers took to social media and dropped the first poster of the upcoming series, which is an ordinary man’s wild ride through chaos and secrets, as he stumbles into a world of comedic mishaps and becomes the target of a dangerous gang of halwaais.

The poster features Manav in the centre and he is sporting a moustache. Then there is Tillotama, wearing a yellow saree and giving 90s vibes. We can also see Shweta donning a saree, sindoor and holding guns in both her hands.

I go round and round the roads of Delhi with a playful gait as if with the intention/hope of finding back some lost home. I feel that at some point I used to live here. All things of past, is tangled just like the power cables above the narrow roads of Old Delhi. Which cable lights up which home, it is impossible to answer that. In this season, I see the flowers of palash scattered on the ground, I feel like stopping here…not near the flowers, but to sit somewhere far from its tree and hear the sound of falling of each and every flower on the ground.
