thinking about how the only time bobby and cas interact in season four is when he knocks him out cold to talk to dean alone. and the next time bobby sees him, cas is powerless and just comes to steal dean's necklace in a weird interaction that had to be filmed close-up because dean and cas are just inches from each other's face. the next time is an offscreen interaction where he just gets dean's address from bobby and probably left immediately after. combine this with the fact that bobby knew dean had a male siren the season before (and tried to be supportive) and let cas be in the family photo a few episodes later, there is a nonzero chance bobby singer was the first destiel shipper.

Just rewatched this scene again and actually it's terrifyingly easy?! I'm honestly not certain if Quark didn't accidentally trigger Julian here 😅

Like, he totally switches from confidently playing, to suddenly going still and quiet - the kind of body language that in other episodes (DBIP, Prodigal Daughter, even Inquisition) I would label as "sick with anxiety", if not "10 seconds away from a panic attack". And by the end of the game Julian is ridiculously out of it - that's not just "lack of focus", right?

The ease to which Quark emotionally manipulates Julian into losing his tongo game is insane 😂 like he's being so obvious about it too

#Sorry to serious on your fun post it just really hit me watching this scene in isolation how much he's struggling?#Idk his reaction does seem laughably overdramatic #For a crush that he got over /years/ ago #But also she's his friend who's just disappeared on a secret dangerous mission #And his vacantness really is reminiscent of when he's worrying over Miles' absence at the beginning of Prodigal Daughter #And like #Obviously he's being a bit of a loser over Jadzia and Quark is delighting in winding him up #That cannot be explained away #But I think if he's already triggered and trying not to go down a “this year 27% of 2-man missions ended in fatalities” spiral #Because the conversation was so unexpected #It makes sense that he's following Quark's lead in the rest of the conversation #Also I think his last question to Quark is SO telling #“Did you really mean all that? [through gritted teeth] this is awesome man this will be good for character development ok ok ok. ok?#its also got something to do with Pearl having the red creep in. i think #because during SL Gem was like. nearly idolising the Scarlet Pearl persona while vaguely aware that her own reputation has a similar effect #and yknow. the horrors. the fact that their image is so heavily built on what others deem them to be and they can only play into it #but by the end of SL Gem gets ‘betrayed’ by this persona that she looked up to #and also her own ‘GeminiSlay’ intimidating image is also starting to fall apart. partly of her own will #and now shes watching Pearl slowly turn red again. and this time she knows its not good for her or Pearl #so shes distancing herself from it. shes ‘trying to fix her reputation’. she sees Pearl falling into it again and just. no. i dont love you #you betrayed me last season #but on Pearl’s end of things she’s already deep into the idea that as long as you say you ‘forgive’ someone then everything thats happened #in the past doesn’t matter and they can all be friends. and nooo absolutely no grudges will be held. no emotional repression here #so. because thats happened to her in her own team she thinks the same can happen with her and Gem #and thats so. im going to blow myself up now

Batfamily member's civilian identity becomes some serial killer's target because it fits some profile. Cue said murderer going after this member of the Batfamily, earning a very shocked and mildly exasperated set of swear words and then getting their ass kicked. The Batfamily member doesn't even bother calling the cops, just tosses the would be killer in the back of their car (which has bloody gloves in the seat and weird files on people), leading the murderer to conclude they're in the presence of a much worse serial killer.

Tldr: Outsider POV fic where a Batfamily member earns the undying adoration of an actual murderer and it's a slow, convoluted process to getting the evidence to arrest them while also protecting their secret identity.

thinking about that theory where peter parker is the mcu's anchor being. and like. the possibilities of it. imagine learning your entire universe's anchor being, the person who pretty much controls the fate of the universe, is some guy who just doesn't exist??? not even dropped off the face of the earth, but there is no proof of this person even existing in the first place???? and maybe strange or the fantastic four or whoever feels responsible for/is tasked with finding and protecting this anchor being but that's kinda hard to do when you have Absolutely Nothing to go off of.

or alternatively, peter himself learning that the entire universe is basically relying on him staying alive, and he already has a lot on his shoulders but this??? having lost everything and everyone and now learning that the weight of the world is literally on his shoulders and fuck!!! he just wanted to be a friendly neighborhood spider-man but that's parker luck for you!!
