Mamma Yamma from CBC Kids

oh my gosh, Nanalan'!

ABSOLUTELY the most cursed part of that programme was the fact that there wasn't really much dialogue... it was mostly gibberish and babbling.

I honestly think that Canadian children experienced a weirdly large number of puppet tv shows. Along with Téléfrançais and Nanalan', there was also:

Tipi Tales

Wonderful storytelling, but... interesting... puppets

Kids' CBC (specifically, Mamma Yamma)

The morning children's programming block, which had two human presenters and a number of puppets, including Mamma Yamma, a talking yam (?)

and Mr. Dressup

An art and culture-type program (like Mr. Rogers in the US) hosted by "Mr. Dressup" and the puppets Casey and Finnigan. This one was one of my childhood favourites, so I have some very happy memories with these specific puppets. I had multiple VHS tapes of Mr. Dresssup.

I'm sure there were also others, that I can't think of off the top of my head.

I love Canadian programming, haha! :D

The Other Cursed Canadian Puppet Show

So, I introduced some lovely people to the horror that is Ananas from Telefrancais.

But there is another cursed Canadian puppet show, not as nightmare-inducing as Telefrancais, but still cursed.

And that would be Nanalan'. I can't even remember if there were actual words in it, all I know is that I had some episodes on VCR and felt like I was in a fever dream.
