also every singlle one of their aus are amazing??? like what the heck they've simply never missed once: ugly baby bird grian forever in my heart; boatem villains??? incredible, impeccable designs; hoa buttercups??? insane idea, excellently executed

So I saw @mambodork 's post last night and I loved it and it affected me on some deep internal level. So today I woke up and before I knew it I'd drawn this because my brain went "ough what are the intermediary stages between bald, wrinkly baby bird Grian and standard avian Grian".

My general thoughts were that avians pretty slowly grow in feathers (and hair lol) compared to standard birds that do it over the first month or so. They're sort of in the ugly duckling stage until about age 7 (give or take), at which point they've built up a base level of soft feathery down but haven't grown in their flight feathers yet, so are still nestlings that can't fly. At about ages 10/11, their wings are mostly fully grown, allowing them to fly, making them fledglings . Awkward bird puberty done just in time for human puberty to start a couple of years down the line! Yippee!!!

Also I just headcanon Grian fidgets with the hem of his jumper a lot.

Twinsduo! This is an AU by @mambodork on twitter and instagram, where Techno lives in a fantastical world and fights monsters and stuff, while Wilbur lives in the modern world and they’re connected via mirrors. I did like, magicify Techno a little bit, so its more. yeah. I really like this AU it was the first thing i thought of for these two

The great thing about aus is that the farther you are from the main characters, the less effort you have to put into making them accurate and logical, because they’re barely onscreen! So anyways I made Pinot a cowboy-

Ok now that I’ve showed u them the 2 kandy’s thing hopefully makes more sense, unless I did a bad job at making the younger 2 recognizable in which case my b. the middle one is Chaz! Although he technically goes by Kandy at this point in universe, but for the sake of not confusing the hell out of y’all I’m gonna call him Candy for this post.

anyways their story things, warning these r not based on anything going on in main universe, I basically just pulled a tolverse and made a totally random plot that I thought would be fun and went with it cus why not :) apologies in advance for the fact that I may have made kid Chaz and Kandy blatantly out of character 🏃 fae Chaz is more like his normal self i swear-

Pinot (right) is the older step brother to the other two, he currently is a boar creature living in The Dark with his horsies of death and darkness :) he’s part of the same mail service as Noel and TG are. He went with his satyr parent when his parents split up, but eventually went back to meet his little brother as soon as he realized he had one. By now he’s forgotten candy (just fae things aha), but he does know that he had a brother who died before he could meet him.

this next part is kinda long cus I accidentally started writing it less like a summary and more like a short story lol. TW CHILD DEATH IN THE FOURTH PARAGRAPH, THIS SHIT UPSETTING

Disclaimer, this plot of brother a wishes to be more successful brother b but regrets it is taken from this au created by mambodork! Their aus make me so happy so I had a lot of fun creating something inspired by oneee c: (their au has a lot happier ending tho lolol)

Kandy/Chaz (middle) was raised with his brother Kandy (left), who was one year younger than him. Kandy was always the beloved child, he was a great cook, he had a super strong connection to sun magic before he even was old enough to be more than a gremlin, and Chaz loved him! He wanted to help his baby bro achieve his dreams in whatever way he could, wanted to show off his talents to the whole world! But he may have been a bit too enthusiastic, soon enough Kandy was known by the whole forest, he was constantly needed somewhere to show off, do the magic, make the cakes, smile and look cute.

And frankly, kandy didn’t even like it- all he wanted was to exist and do the things he liked, not to be gawked on by the whole world and have his hobbies be turned into a product everyone wanted a piece of. It was so much pressure, and he felt like he was never with his family anymore. Meanwhile Chaz started to feel worse about himself, suddenly it wasn’t Chaz and his little brother, it was Kandy and his big brothe, suddenly there wasn’t time for him, he wasn’t a good enough cook to help Kandy, he just wasn’t good enough anymore in general, which was something hard to deal with considering that at the time he really was just a kid. He ended up running off to the woods to cry after he got kicked out of one of his brothers show. He said that he just wished that he could “be like his brother”, so that maybe everything would be ok- people would like him again, he would be good enough to cook with his brother, if they were finally on the same level, things could just go back to normal. But of course, making wishes in the woods at night invites THE FAE 🤪🎉 and here, right in front of him was a stranger who could make everything better- he’d be just like his brother, every skill taken and imbued in Chaz, with the trade off being that he just had to give away an equivalent amount of himself. He agreed quickly- to him this felt like the solution to an unsolvable problem, a way to get his little brother back, to make everything better! And all in one night, it was too good to be true!

The next day, he woke up feeling different. He knew it was done! He was quick to try his skills- he found himself in control of the light around him, suddenly imbued with cooking skills, heck, he was even cuter, everyone was so sweet to him all the sudden! But strangely, Kandy didn’t come home that day. Chaz didn’t notice at first, he told himself kandy must be busy, but oh, how excited he’ll be when he comes home to find his brother is finally able to relate to him again! He waited a couple hours, a day, a week, and then the news came.

In a sudden moment of clumsiness, his little brother, with uncharacteristic strength, had pulled down a large shelf near his kitchen during a show, and had accidentally lodged a fairly large knife into his neck. There had only been one witness, who when they returned to the body after their initial reaction of running away, they realized that the body didn’t look like Kandy, it was taller and stronger, and in a moment of desperate hope convinced themself that the dead child must have been Chaz pretending to be Kandy, and that the living Chaz was the real Kandy. Chaz immediately knew what happened- he had killed his brother. It was all his fault.* He was terrified of being blamed, so he swallowed down all his feelings and told the public- they were right. That was Chaz, and Chaz is dead.**

And so he assumed the role. It’s what his brother would have wanted… right? He was always making people happy, never doing anything for himself, he would have wanted that to continue. But it slowly became unbearable for Chaz- he had lost everything about him that made him him, all of his skills, his friends, his body, his brother- everything that mattered to him was gone. all he wanted was to take it all back. So he begged and pleaded with the fae to change him back to himsel, at first they wouldn’t budge, don’t go back on a deal, but eventually they agreed that he could have his own self back, if he gave up what they had given him and told everyone that he had lied, (fae love teaching ppl life lessons, even if sometimes ppl have to die for them, and if the person isn't even an adult.) And then, finally, he was himself again! He excitedly tried to tell his friends, his family, everyone- but no one believed it. Chaz was dead, this isn’t a funny joke, Kandy. He fought and raged against how everyone continued to push him, but in the end, thinking themselves funny, his old friends tried to prove he was lying by making him save himself from danger in a way only kandy could do- he’d have to stop his stupid pretend game when it got serious! But Chaz couldn’t, and faced with the sudden realization that he was about to experience the exact same fate as his little brother, his whole world came crashing down on him- and he didn’t die. What his body did to survive was much worse.

COUGH so that’s how Chazs became a fae,,,,um so after he lost all his memories he did sum investigating and found out he used to be some baker showman named Kandy? Cool! He had no sense of self so he kind of just based his identity on that until he met the sky fae :0 he joined them and overtime went back to being more like ol Chaz, very peppy and energetic and just a sweet boi! Currently he’s very happy leading the sky fae (even if he hasn’t found out his original basis of identity is a lie yet), he’s been a nightwalker for a while now, but is just new enough that he can speak both their old chirping language AND English, wow so smart so talented (his English isn’t good but he understands it somewhat which is the best u get with the sky fae lol.) Meanwhile kandy is a ghost who spent a hot while sitting in a tree crying his fuckin eyes out all the time, but eventually was dragged out and has started being a little more normal lol. He’s still very small since ghosts need to somewhat move on to age pass their gremlin size, and he’s only recently started trying to do that!

pff meanwhile Pinots life is just fantastic while these kids suffer 💀 good for u horse boy, good for you
