What I wished happened in Tears of the Kingdom 🥲

Been itching to draw something like this since first playing the game.

I absolutely HC that Puppet Zelda's "true form" is a grotesque gloom abomination.

An alternate version of the climax of "Crisis at Hyrule Castle" "lives rent free in my mind. The cat and mouse chase ending in the Sanctum, with Puppet Zelda revealing her true self: an attrocious horrific monster wearing Zelda's face. This is the real her and all this hatred breaks her Zelda looking shell apart. Time for an emotional and tormented final confrontation.

Also, it's my one year Tumblr anniversary!!?? Whhhaaaatttt already?

Linktober 2024 day 6: fear/horror

Had so many ideas for this prompt. Below the cut is one of my ideas that was ultimately replaced, but I’m still happy with it. It can be read as a sort of prequel maybe?

One second away from disaster…. I feel like this one conveys “fear” much stronger than the malice drawing

Shadow is too stupid to be corrupted by gloom lol

Fanfic prompt : shadow is a being created by ganon so malice could bring him back

But because shadow is concentrated dark magic a malice version of him would be concentrated malice therefore gloom

So when shadow came back from a blood moon he was a gloomy guy (all creepy glow and dark red and stuff)

But if he stayed the same idiot just with the added bonus of constantly killing anything he touches (the grass will be evaporating lol)

That would create a few problems

Four figured out quickly that his hand will be burning when he holds hands (good that Wild has a life long supply of hearty potions lol)

Shadow feeling guilty about killing every blade of grass in close proximity: I am a monster :(

Four (getting possessed by Vio lol) : this is the most competent you have ever been and you are not even doing it on purpose or anything

The chain was not very happy about four's gloom spawn

Shadow gets light dragon gloves and shoes because unfortunately sacrificing the ecosystem is not a possibility and that random dragon in the air has lots of hair and scales that it doesn’t need (poor Flora her quest wasn’t started yet and she is already getting robbed)

So now he isn’t a hazard for the entire world

But the sheer amount of terror he can cause by controlling the spawns of ganon also known as gloom spawns

He is now a feral gremlin with insta kill enabled

Fighting monsters is easy if you are not affected by dark blood (because he is the dark blood lol)

Anyway, I sincerely recommend reading A Dark Among the Lights by LuckyLectio on AO3. It's a wonderful story in which after a long and arduous journey, our snarky protagonist has finally gotten a hug. Two of them, even!

Linktober day 11: rollin’ inn

After a day fighting a volcano, the heroic group stumble back to the inn to take a Long Rest. Unfortunately for Link, his sleep is interrupted by mournful ghosts partying it up in his brain.

(Mineru and rauru were the last of their kind ever since the already small insular zonai kingdom was decimated by a strange, flesh bending plague. A lone miner found the two children, and decided to take them in despite concerns of the curse.

He raised them. When they asked him to help fight the source of their blood family’s extinction, who was he to say no?)

More about this totk au! (It all started when zelda did not get teleported into the past, and then spiraled from there)
