Commission #3 in the list of 5! Thank you for trusting me with your prompt! I hope you like it! (For reference, this sharkman is built like King Shark, not a merman with a shark tail).
Contents: human male reader who’s bigger and taller than most, and who usually (and happily) takes care of his friends, meets a big ol’ sharkman on a tropical getaway, who’s big enough and tall enough to take care of him for a change. Some very light D/s undertones but nothing hardcore - just some manhandling and consensual dominance and praise from our big sharkman in the bedroom. Also featuring a sporty werewolf, a sexy werewolf, a cheeky naga, a cinnamon roll satyr, and a smol and shy fellow human, a tropical beach setting, and some mention of alcohol.
Wordcount: 4656
The sun sent red and black patterns dancing over your closed eyelids, and the heat of it on your exposed skin was truly glorious. In the background, the sea brushed against the white sand, barely a whisper to let you know she was still there; that you hadn’t floated away in this blissful paradise.
And to think you’d actually been a bit pissed off with Eric when he’d first said he was having his bachelor party on a tropical island, so far from home. That had been before you’d seen the expanse of silver sand, with those picture-perfect palm trees leaning down over it like curious explorers all inspecting a rare seashell. The water beyond was so clear it looked like a moving glass sculpture, with the sand undulating away beneath it out towards the distant coral reef studded with starfish and shells and a thousand tiny fish.
Someone yelled a warning and you twitched awake, but too late. A wet, cold beach ball landed on your stomach and bounced off into the sand beside you. With a put-upon sigh, you opened your eyes and peered over at where Eric and the others had been playing volleyball with a floaty, too-big beach ball.
It was still within easy reach, so you scooped it up and lobbed it back at them one-armed, and they cheered.
“Thanks big guy!” Fennel hollered at you, and the little flash of the blond satyr’s white tail blended almost perfectly with the pale, glittering water behind him.
“No worries,” you chuckled with genuine affection for your mad bunch of friends before letting your head loll back onto the towel beneath you. You heaved another sigh and stared up at the sky between the fingers of the palm leaves. Deep contentment settled around you, despite the rising racket they were making.
When the roughhousing started to get a bit too boisterous about twenty minutes later, you sat up with a scowl and watched as Alban wrapped his thick, white, marble tail around Eric and held him in place, keeping him from reaching the ball. Eric suddenly doubled over and gave in to the shift, black fur rippling down his spine, claws sprouting at his hands, and Alban released him with a crowing laugh to let him fall into the sand on his face, while Eric’s red swimming trunks ripped open as his werewolf form took over.
“Fuck’s sake,” you muttered fondly and headed over to keep the healthy play from getting too out of hand. They were in public after all.
It had been like this since university, when you’d shared a house with Eric, Alban, Fennel, Sebastián, and Matt in your very first year, and every year after. Between Eric and Sebastián at the full moon, Alban during moulting, and Fennel at change of coat season, you and Matt had put up with an awful lot as the only humans in the house.
Now, Matt was standing on the sand at a safe distance, watching as Eric leapt at Alban, flattening the naga’s human torso into the sand and expelling all the air from his lungs with an ‘oof’ that was audible even as you crossed to them. Fennel, however, had been knocked on his ass and looked a little winded, if otherwise unharmed. You didn’t even think the naga and werewolf had even noticed that he’d been caught up in the fray, which was nothing unusual with them when they started shoving and barging each other around. Sebastián was still up at the restaurant, thank the gods, otherwise he’d have shifted too, and you’d have had two overgrown puppies and a snake as thick and heavy as a felled oak tree to wrangle. Even for a human your size, that was asking a bit too much.
“Oi!” you yelled like a football coach, and to your pleasant surprise, both Alban and Eric looked up and froze, mid-tussle. “Knock it off. This is supposed to be a tropical paradise, and you’re not making it feel like that.” Ignoring them for the time being, you approached Fennel first and held out a hand to him. “You alright?”
“Yeah,” he laughed, shaking sand out of his golden curls. His hair spilled around his chunky, ram’s horns and ears and joined up with the stripe of pale gold fur that went all along his spine from his shaggy, ovine lower half. “Not the first time I’ve been swept off my feet by a naga,” he grinned as you hauled him back on his hooves.
“Won’t be the last, handsome,” you snorted and looked around at the rest of the beach.
Luckily, there was hardly anyone else about. A spectacular-looking mermaid with a glittering, teal and cyan blue tail that flashed pink when she moved it had hauled herself out of the water and was watching your group of guys with a slender, white-blonde centaur curled up beside her, and you couldn’t tell at that distance if they were impressed or appalled by your friends’ behaviour.
In the water, an orca mer breached the surface with his family, his children shrieking and also crashing back down into the tiny waves with as much glee and abandon as Alban and Eric had displayed on land. Not far from them, the triangular fin of a great white shark cut through the water like a knife through silk.
You paused, wondering if you should alert the family, but then you saw the orca mother clock it and dip beneath the waves. No panic ensued, so you dismissed it as another merfolk, and turned back to your group just as Sebastián sashayed down from the boardwalk and surveyed the carnage on the sand with a raised eyebrow.
“I leave for ten minutes to buy you all drinks, and look what happens,” he said in his lilting, Spanish accent. “Honestly. Here,” he added, and held out the tray of assorted drinks. As you glanced at it, you saw that they were all either beer or cocktails, and with the sun as hot as it was, you rolled your eyes.
“Didn’t you get any water as well?” you asked.
He did have the grace to look a little chagrined, but he didn’t seem all that keen to make the trudge back along the boardwalk to the restaurant at the far end of the beach, so you sighed and grabbed your wallet from your bag. “Don’t worry. I’ll get it.”
“You’re the best,” Fennel said from behind you, his hands already cupped around a piña colada that was almost big enough to bathe in.
“Go slow, yeah?” you said with a shake of your head at him. “And try not to kill each other while I’m gone.”
“Whatever you say, big guy!” Fennel giggled. “Oh, and can you get us a litre of Coke while you’re there?”
“And, like, a whole bucket of those amazing fries!” Eric added, his wolf’s voice deep and gravelly but his words still clear enough around his mouthful of fangs.
“Yeah, yeah, you got it,” you sighed with a placating wave of your hand as you turned away.
“You’re the best!” Fennel beamed, followed immediately by a hiccup.
At this rate you were going to need more pitchers of water than you could carry in one go.
The rush of someone rising out of the water behind you down the beach drew your attention — perhaps Alban and Eric had started up again — but your eyebrows rose when you saw a being you’d never actually seen before in person sloshing through the shallows on powerful legs.
Sharkfolk were rare and solitary, once shunned by their merfolk cousins as ‘beast men’ in the same way minotaurs had once been treated as lesser by centaurs simply because they had the head and shoulders of an animal instead of a human. Luckily, things had come a long way since then, but the sharkfolk tended to keep to themselves all the same. This one had red and white swimming shorts on that said ‘coastguard’, and he waved cheerily at the orca family as he left the water and made his way up the beach towards you, also heading towards the boardwalk.
He paused as he drew level with you and he looked you up and down in a way that made you grateful that your own boardshorts were still dry and hanging loose around your hips. His eyes seemed completely black, and his storm-grey head melted seamlessly into a thick neck and broad shoulders to give him a hunched-over look that spoke of immense power. His arms were thickly muscled too, his torso bare and monumental, and criss-crossed here and there with scars. He was also about seven feet tall.
“Big guy?” he chuckled at you, and it took you a moment to catch on; he must have heard Fennel’s enthusiastic exclamation. Yes, you were pretty big — for a human — but not compared to a naga and a shifted werewolf.
“Eh, long story,” you smiled. “And you’re only a foot or so taller than me.”
“I am bigger though,” the sharkman said, flexing his shoulders just enough to make his point, and more than enough to make your mouth go dry.
His smile was all sharp teeth, which didn’t help either. His lips pulled back when he laughed again, the sound deep and rich, and you swallowed, hoping his sense of smell wasn’t as good out of the water as you knew it would be in.
“Titus,” he said by way of introduction as he extended his three-fingered, webbed hand to you. “You heading up to the hotel?”
“Yeah. These losers forgot that only drinking alcohol in the heat is a dumb-ass thing to do, so… someone has to take care of them.” You smiled with affectionate exasperation around the words and rolled your eyes.
Something about that softened his almost brash expression though, and he shrugged his huge, round shoulder. “Big guy who takes care of his friends. Something else we have in common.”
You looked away, cheeks flushing hot when you realised he was flirting with you. “I guess.” You offered him your name as the two of you set off up the sand again, and then asked, “You work here all year round, or are you just here for the tourist season?”
He scratched the back of his head, his sharp, black claws rasping over his sandpaper-rough skin. You loved the watercolour tideline where the dark grey along the top of his head and down his back blurred into the milky white of his pale chest and belly. It made you want to run your hands over it to see if he was sensitive.
You tripped and refocused your attention on his answer.
“Yeah, just here for the season. I tend to move around a lot, you know? Never stay in one place long. Too much of the world to see. They needed a lifeguard for the summer, so I took the job. It’s been easy so far.”
“Let’s hope it stays that way,” you said, and he shot you another sharp-toothed grin that sent all your blood south.
“I’ll drink to that. Let me buy you one?” You’d been about to refuse, thinking that at least one of the group should stay sober, when he added, “Something soft for now, but maybe I can share a beer with you when I finish work tonight?”
You weren’t used to people being so forward with you, and it made your tongue falter.
Titus misread your surprise as discomfort, and immediately backed off. “Unless I misjudged…? Wouldn’t be the first time a guy’s not been interested…”
“No, no,” you blurted. “No, it’s not that. I just wasn’t expecting… I mean… I’m not exactly used to guys like you… You know… being into guys like me.”
“‘Big guy’?” he asked with incisive intuition, and you nodded.
A slow, deadly smile spread across his face, lips pulling right back, and the image of him closing those powerful jaws around your shoulder blazed across your imagination; of him letting you feel the prick of each pointed tooth across your skin as he held you down in place beneath him and —
You swallowed.
“Well, it’s not every day I come across someone who’s so…” Titus began, and again, his black eyes raked the length of your body, taking in the shape of you in a way that should have made you self-conscious, but all it did was turn you on, “… exactly my type,” he finished. “Come on, or I’ll get too distracted by you to finish my shift.”
You bit your lip to keep the resulting grin contained, and walked with him along the boardwalk. He used his staff discount, and no small amount of natural charm and charisma, to get you a deal on the Coke and fries, plus another soft drink for you, and he carried two pitchers of iced water for you while you carried the rest, plus an extra pitcher, on a tray back to your friends.
“Thank you,” you murmured as you stepped off the boardwalk and back onto the hot sand.
“Pleasure,” he replied in a quiet, polite rumble and he set the pitchers down near your towel.
The sun had crept around while you’d been away, and the palm trees were now casting a shadow across half of it, so you set the tray down as if it were a picnic blanket and straightened to find him standing much closer than you’d expected.
“So will I see you at the bar tonight?” he asked, large head tilted slightly to the side.
“Yeah,” you croaked, swallowing thickly and nodding. “I’d like that.”
He surprised you then by reaching out and crooking his forefinger, gently lifting your chin a fraction with the knuckle. “Looking forward to it,” he said, and walked away down the beach, leaving you breathless and thrumming all over.
“What was that about?”
Matt’s wispy tenor beside you made you jump and you turned around to find him tucking into the fries and looking up at you with his big, innocent, blue eyes wide and curious.
Taking a deep breath, you turned to face him and smiled, feeling like the proverbial cat who’d at least been promised the canary. “Just a little something for myself… Make sure you share those with the others…”
“Just getting my turn in before the wolves descend,” Matt protested, but he stalked away towards the others all the same, and you watched him offer them around.
Titus was waiting for you at the bar that evening, wearing dark grey slacks and a form-fitting white shirt that showed off the hulking slope of his shoulders. You wondered vaguely if it had been tailored to include a slit for his sharp fin on the back, and when he turned slightly in conversation with the bartender, you saw that it had. Instead of looking ridiculous, it just looked… inviting; enticing, like it was just asking you to slide your fingertip along the jut of dark, exposed fin and tease the skin beneath the fabric…
He was perched on a tall, metal stool, leaning one elbow against the bar and chatting easily with the spiked lizardfolk working the bar, but when caught sight of you, he jutted his chin in a friendly summons, and you found yourself powerless to do anything but approach.
“Hey,” you said as you joined him, but he didn’t speak for a moment.
He let his jet black eyes roam the length of you again, and you wondered if you should have dressed smarter. When you blurted something about being there for Eric’s bachelor weekend and not having expected to need date clothes, he held up a finger and the words died on your tongue.
“You look perfect,” Titus said in a voice that should have been too quiet to carry above the music and the people, yet you caught every syllable as they shivered through you. “Come, sit,” he said, indicating the empty seat beside him. “Tell me all about yourself.”
To your surprise, it was easy to sit there and just talk to him.
He listened attentively, keeping his gaze locked on you, and although he had bought you both a drink, you almost forgot to sip from it, losing yourself in conversation. He touched you often, laughing and clapping you on the shoulder at a tale from your undergrad days, and when you told him how you usually ended up ‘designated driver’, and how no one believed quite how difficult it could be to wrangle two drunk werewolves and an inebriated naga into a taxi in the dead of winter, he leaned close and rested his three-fingered hand on your upper thigh. His weight pressed the back of your leg into the bar stool and the heel of his palm dug deliciously into the muscle of your quad, and your breath caught.
“You’re kind,” he said, stroking his thumb across the fabric of your trousers. “I hope your friends know that.”
Unexpectedly emotional, you shrugged and glanced down, breaking eye contact. “Yeah, they look out for me too,” you said, and you meant it. “I have to admit though, it’s nice to do something that’s… just for me.”
“You want to get out of here and go back to mine?” he asked, taking his hand off you and leaning back in his seat again.
The decision was in your hands, but you’d already made up your mind hours ago.
You nodded, and he smiled, all joy. “Come on.”
Your feet felt like they were floating as you followed him out of the bar and back out into the balmy evening. Pausing briefly outside, you breathed deeply and inhaled the salt air with a smile on your lips. When you opened your eyes, you found him watching you. He didn’t say anything, but you got the impression he was pleased to see you relax.
His cabin sat a short way from the main hotel, and was sparsely but nicely furnished, with a comfy couch in the living-kitchen area and big, picture windows that overlooked a seating area and the dark ocean beyond. He offered you a drink, but you both knew it was only a pretence. You shook your head and bit your lip, feeling your heartbeat quicken.
Silently, he led you through a door on your left into his bedroom, which had a large bed and white, gossamer curtains that framed a view of the sea. “Tonight is for you,” he said, leaning down over your shoulder from behind and purring in your ear. Your breath hitched again when his large hand landed at the small of your spine and he added, “Will you let me take care of you?”
Unable to form words for a moment, you just nodded.
“Good. Now, I can’t kiss you the way a human would, but I’m going to make sure you feel good, alright?”
“Uh-huh,” you managed.
Before he went any further, you clarified that you were comfortable going without a condom, since sharkfolk didn’t catch or transmit human diseases, and he nodded. That done, he turned you around and backed you slowly up against the closed bedroom door with just his advancing presence and a low, insistent growl. Given that most of your partners before that had been human, and smaller than you, the sensation was wonderfully foreign. Your body relaxed, your breath coming in fast, shallow gasps through open lips, and his growling grew louder, the sound filling the room like an idling engine.
“I can smell you,” he said, looming over you and nuzzling the tip of his nose against the soft, vulnerable side of your neck. “I can taste you,” he went on before nipping at your skin and letting his tongue lick a hot, wet stripe across your racing pulse.
You let out a weak ‘oh’ and tried to keep your knees from giving out.
Then his black eyes rolled back a little to show a delicate crescent moon of white in each, his lips peeled back off his teeth, and he slowly took the whole of your left shoulder joint and most of your neck in his mouth.
Under different circumstances, you might have been embarrassed by the high, broken wail that left you at the sensation of being pinned and held completely in place by someone so powerful, but in that moment, endorphins flooded through you and your awareness tunnelled down to just the prick of teeth through the fabric of your shirt and the massive hand that had closed around your right wrist.
“Fuck,” you hissed and he rumbled in pleasure at your reaction.
He ground his hips against you and you could feel how hard he was already. His tongue laved across your throat again, tasting you, and he drew back with a heavy exhale, eyes returning to that full, midnight black as he regarded you. “I’ve been thinking about this all day, ever since I saw you on the beach earlier,” he said. “Couldn’t stop thinking about you. Get on the bed for me.”
In no time at all, you had lain back, naked, and Titus was halfway out of his own clothes when he caught sight of you and swore softly, shaking his head.
“You are so fucking gorgeous,” he growled, resuming his efforts at undoing his fly. “I’m going to wreck you.”
Another little mewl escaped you and your cock ached to be touched, but he hadn’t said you could, so you just lay there with it leaking over your stomach.
“Good,” he said as he slid his trousers over his hips and you saw his cock.
Thick, hard, and huge, it was everything you wanted, and you let out a barely restrained, “Please…”
“All in good time,” he purred, smiling again in a way that was hardly more than just a baring of his teeth. It was a smile that promised pleasure with the pretence of danger, and it lit you up all over.
To your surprise though, Titus actually took his time enjoying your body, but the thrill of having him run his tongue along the length of your cock while carefully keeping all his teeth out of the way was almost enough to make you spill. You could feel the way your body was practically there already, your thighs and torso shaking with want, your hands scrabbling at the sheets beneath you each time he took you into his mouth and curled his strong tongue around your cock, your spine arching, your blood pounding, but it wasn’t quite enough. Titus grinned and reached for the bottle of lube in his nightstand.
After he’d teased your ass with his thumb for a while, being very careful of his claws around the sensitive ring of muscle, he knelt above you, lifted your right leg, and eased the tip of his huge cock inside you, inch by inch, until you were so full you could hardly draw breath.
“Oh fuck,” you hissed when he finally sank to the hilt inside you and went still.
“That’s it, I’ve got you,” he crooned, holding your hips in both of his three-fingered, claw-tipped hands. “You look so good like this for me. Gods, look at you, you’re so full. You’ve taken all of my cock…”
A garbled noise left your lips and you sobbed another ‘please’, which prompted him to draw almost all the way out again.
Slowly, attentively, he fucked you, moving with care until you were accustomed to the massive stretch of him, but before too long he began to pick up his pace, and each thrust grew a little stronger. Titus grabbed your hips and lifted you, drawing you closer so that he could fuck you deeper, and changing the angle so that each stroke caught you just-so, and you could no longer help the noises that left you in a constant stream of nonsense.
“Please, please… please…” you choked. Your cock was still untouched because he hadn’t said you could touch yourself, and it drooled all over your belly each time he thrust his hips.
He began to growl in an unending, uncontrollable strain that made your ears ring.
“Fuck, I’m gonna come,” he said, the movements getting faster and harder, and the rhythm a little unsteady. “Oh gods, you’re gonna make me come…”
He lowered your hips back down so that he could reach around your raised leg and wrap his huge hand around your cock while you held both legs up, fully exposing yourself to him. “Yes, good, like that,” he snarled and you offered him a dopey smile. “Just like that. You look so good for me. So good. You’re gonna make me come. I’m gonna come…”
He worked you hard and fast in time with his own movements, and in a few seconds, you came with a shout, your body clenching tight around his big cock.
Titus roared, and you opened your eyes again just in time to watch his black eyes roll back to reveal only the whites.
His lips peeled all the way back, showing his pale gums and that row of lethal teeth. Bellowing, he arched his back, pressed his hips flush to your body, and spilled inside you. He let go of your cock and grabbed your other hip, pulling you right down onto him as close as he could, and you yelled again at the beautiful oversensitivity of it as he came inside you.
When he finally finished, his eyes rolled back to normal, and he set you gently down onto the mattress again. Spent and drained of strength, your legs flopped listlessly, and he also stayed put for a minute longer as if he hadn’t expected his orgasm to be so intense. His cock still twitched from time to time inside you, and he bowed his head over you, breathing hard.
“You are so fucking beautiful,” he grunted. “You ok?”
“Mmm,” you sighed, body lax and exhausted and aching in all the right ways.
Titus offered you an oddly shy smile and then carefully withdrew.
He cleaned you up with a tenderness that surprised you a little after his display of dominance and strength, but he seemed to enjoy the process almost as much as he had making the mess in the first place.
When he caught you looking up at him with an almost misty-eyed expression, he quirked his head. “What? I told you I was going to enjoy looking after you.” After a pause, he added, “I saw how you were with your friends. You’re always taking care of them, aren’t you?”
Too embarrassed to respond, you just shrugged and let him keep wiping the warm washcloth over your upper thighs and across your stomach in slow, soporific strokes that made your eyelids heavy and your spine turn to water.
“You deserve to be taken care of as well,” Titus rumbled, and then he lowered his blunt, shark’s muzzle to your inner thigh and gave you the closest approximation he could of a kiss. He nuzzled the sensitive skin there and around the crease of your hip, just teasing your balls with his tongue and then moving up over your belly in an act that was as much admiration as it was clean-up.
“You’re exquisite,” he said, and then he lay down facing you on his side, wash-cloth abandoned somewhere out of sight, and pulled you into his arms. “Come here. You want to stay the night?”
“Please,” you nodded as you rolled over, letting his huge arms encircle you as he tugged your back flush to his front and then reached down to pull the sheets up around you.
You'd honestly never fallen so quickly or so deeply asleep in your life.

I was in a long burnout during these times, slowly recovering. I was inspired to update the design of Roberto's family, my great hammerhead shark from the sharkfolk universe that I'm slowly creating, I hope you like it! Here are some details that I thought about them, maybe they will change in the future with new adjustments. 🦈✨
⭐Joanne Marama "Jojo" - She is the mother of the family and maintains a triamorous relationship with her two husbands. In a surprising turn of events, she became pregnant with both of them simultaneously, thanks to the characteristic of female sharks having two uteruses, allowing fertilization by different males. Professionally, she works as an eco-architect and is 56 years old.
⭐Fernando Marreto "Fer" - He is the first father of the family and father of Lorenza and Marcela. Hyperactive and enthusiastic, he presented Roberto with his old bass. Professionally, he is an environmental engineer and is 55 years old.
⭐Alejandro Martiello "Ale" - He is the second father of the family and father of Milena and Roberto. Calm, serene and compassionate, he presented Roberto with his old acoustic guitar. Professionally, he is a marine biologist and is 57 years old.
⭐Milena M.M. "Lena" - One of the old sisters, she is expecting a baby! During her maternity leave, she creates small jewelry to distract herself. She taught Roberto how to make jewelry, and he developed the habit of giving his friends bracelets and necklaces that he made himself. She is 30 years old.
⭐Lorenza M.M. " Enza " - The other older sister, mother of Francesca and Giovanni, often asks Roberto to take care of her nephews. She is 30 years old.
⭐Marcela M.M. “ Marcy ” – The closest sister, always giving Roberto life advice, should have been born at the same time as him. However, when she was born, Roberto remained in his mother's womb for another two years. She is 20 years old.
⭐Roberto M.M. "Rocky" or "Beto" - Finally, we have our beloved great hammerhead shark! Although he is the youngest, he is the tallest in the family. They thought that Roberto had some health problem that affected his height, but in the end, it is just a curious legacy of his ancestry. If you want to know a little more about Roberto, you can see here.
*O M.M. it would be an abbreviation of the surnames: 'Marreto de Marama' or 'Martiello de Marama'.
(I promise to answer the questions sent to me in my inbox at some point)

Sahuagin
I rushed through the flooding lower deck, the cries and gurgles of those below me reaching through the wet planks. Seeing the way to the main deck ahead, I threw caution to the wind, picking up the pace– a grave mistake, but one that saved my life. My boot slipped on the slick wooden floor, sending me crashing down and striking my face against the oak. Tasting blood, I blearily looked forward, seeing a large, green-skinned figure come into view. Its feet were webbed, with a finned tail slapping the steps behind it as it walked. A spear was clutched in its webbed hands, and it had a fish-like face, with fins where its ears would be. The towering figure must have been at least eight feet tall, as it had to hunch to walk comfortably. I remained still, holding my breath and playing dead as it approached me. It jabbed me with its spear, the wound burning like it was on fire within moments, but I bit my tongue and remained still. Deciding that I was, indeed, dead, the monster grunted and stomped off down the hall, looking for more interesting prey.
—Alec Crestfall, ‘Across the Monster’s Sea’
The sahuagin are a race of shark-revering hunters dwelling in the oceans, who possess a fiercely territorial nature and a love of blood sports. They raid shores and trade vessels, rarely leaving any survivors. The entire Ocean belongs only to them and to Sharkfolk, in their minds, and they will destroy any they believe to be encroaching on their territory. However, some sahuagin choose to abandon this way of life, striking out to honour the Great Hunt with other worthy fellows, and some were forced to flee due to some perceived weakness.
Children of Sekolah
It is said that, following Sekolah’s battle with the Great Sea Titan Dagon, Sekolah found a seashell uncovered by the formation of the Eye of Zedar, the mighty whirlpool that finally caused Dagon’s downfall. Sekolah found the seashell to be full of sahuagin, which the shark god eagerly scattered across the oceans of Praece as his own race. The sahuagin strive to fully embrace his doctrine, weeding out even the smallest traces of weakness and hunting with merciless brutality. Any sahuagin who dares question this belief system is cast out if they’re lucky enough to flee fast enough, or outright killed if not.
Sahuagin are usually green-skinned, with their backs darker than their fronts. It is commonplace for them to possess darkened bands, stripes, or spots, which fade with age. They have fins running down their backs, at the elbows and on either side of their face. Females develop some spots of yellow on their tails, gaining more yellow until their entire tail turns a deep yellow. At this point, the female is considered unfit to bear any more young.
A Society of Violence
The sahuagin revel in bloodsport and death. Any birth defects that aren’t determined to be of use to the clan, such as the creation of the massive four-armed barons that occur once every two-hundred hatchlings, or the sea-elf-like malenti that occur once every one-hundred hatchlings, but only appear when the clan is in proximity to a colony of sea elves, result in the immediate culling of the hatchling. They have no desire to form alliances with any they believe to be weaker than themselves. They despise sea elves especially, with the malenti sahuagin being allowed to live only to act as spies among the elves.
With very few exceptions, their societies were strict patriarchs, due to the more aggressive nature of males. There was a three-step hierarchy within this, with kings ruling over princes, which ruled over barons. Kings rule over massive areas of ocean, often laying claim to entire coastlines, and live in massive undersea cities. Meanwhile, princes hold claim to a mere twenty or so villages, and barons only rule over a single village. Mirroring the males, female sahuagin also hold a three-step hierarchy for those who chose not to act as hunters and warriors. This hierarchy saw priestesses overseeing lore-keepers, which in turn oversee the teachers.
The way sahuagin keep their history is also unique. The sahuagin language is made up of clicking and hissing sounds, which they have learned to replicate with the use of tools made of conchs and shells supported by bone and sinew, which they call singing bundles. Singing bundles can be adjusted to make different noises when shaken, allowing each bundle to contain important stories or messages.
Sahuagin Names
Sahuagin do not have masculine or feminine names. Instead, they name their hatchlings strong names in the sahuagin language. In the case of malenti, however, their names are often only titles given to them by their clan’s ruler, or something weak, often with a touch of elvish if their mother cares enough to give them a name.
Hunter Names: Bulubba, Cheskva, Glubsha, Huakil, Kekahu, Mrikvis, Tlavoks
Malenti Names: Kaumav, Maafiul, Mylaini, Siakop, Ssun’ta, Zeebubla
Sahuagin Traits
From their brutal upbringing and blessings of Sekolah, your sahuagin character has several abilities to mark them as one of the ocean’s greatest hunters.
Ability Score Increase. Your Wisdom score increases by 2.
Age. Sahuagin are expected to grow up quickly and live a hard life. They are considered adults by the age of 10, and live for an average of 70 years.
Alignment. Sahuagin are known for brutality and cruelty, but they also follow a strict code when hunting, with the rare exception of the Wild Hunt. As such, they are often Lawful Evil as a society.
Size. Sahuagin stand at an average of 6 feet in height, though the largest among them can grow up to nine feet in height, and they weigh an average of 200 lbs. Your size is medium.
Speed. Your base walking speed is 30 feet, and you have a swimming speed of 40 feet.
Darkvision. You have superior vision in dark and dim conditions. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can’t discern colour in darkness, only shades of grey.
Limited Amphibiousness. You can breathe air and water, but you need to be submerged at least once every 4 hours to avoid suffocating.
Blood Frenzy. You have advantage on melee attack rolls against any creature that doesn't have all its hit points.
Shark Telepathy. You are able to communicate simple ideas with any sharks within 120 feet using a limited telepathy.
Tough Hide. When you aren't wearing armour, your AC is 12 + your Dexterity modifier. You can use this natural armour to determine your AC if the armour you wear would leave you with a lower AC. A shield's benefits apply as normal while you use your natural armour.
Languages. You can speak, read, and write Common, Aquan and Sahuagin.
Subrace. Two main subraces of sahuagin populate the oceans around Jadeclyff: the standard Hunters and the rarer, elf-like Malenti. Choose one of these subraces.
Hunter
Most sahuagin are Hunters. Natural warriors and hunters, these sahuagin are raised from hatching to value might and blood above all else.
Ability Score Increase. Your Strength score increases by 1.
Bite and Claws. Your claws and fanged bite count as natural weapons, which you can use to make unarmed strikes. If you hit with your jaws, you deal piercing damage, or if you use your claws, you deal slashing damage. This damage is equal to 1d4 + your Strength modifier, instead of the bludgeoning damage normal for an unarmed strike.
Malenti
When a sahuagin clan is settled near a sea elf settlement, sahuagin eggs have a one in one hundred chance of producing a sahuagin that almost perfectly resembles a sea elf. These sahuagin are known as Malenti, and while they are despised by most sahuagin, their clan’s leaders will keep them alive to act as spies against the elves.
Ability Score Increase. Your Charisma score increases by 1.
Deceptive Appearance. You physically resemble a sea elf, requiring close inspection for someone to notice that you are not actually a sea elf. In addition, you know Elvish and have proficiency in the deception skill.

Is MerFolk just merwomen or does it have other LGBTQ? (trans people, bisexuals, gay men, ect.) Just curious!
Hiya! Thanks for the ask!
MerFolk has mostly mergals being merpals, but I tried to include more than just lesbian mermaids. As a non-narrative collection of images, it's kinda hard to lock down what each merfolk's sexuality and gender identity is... it feels super lame of me to say "Oh it's up to the viewer to decide!" but when it comes down to it, it kinda is...
I want to say that a number of them are trans and nonbinary, but at least at the time I was doing the drawings I wasn't conscious of how to make that respectfully blatant...
So that said, mostly presumed-female merfolk and a couple presumed-male merfolk and at least one gnc sharkfolk with a sick tattoo.

October 12th-October 18th, 2019 Creator Babble Archive
The archive for the Creator Babble chat that occurred from October 12th, 2019 to October 18th, 2019. The chat focused on the following question:
Of your story’s characters, who is your favorite to write and why? Also, who is your least favorite?
LadyLazuli (Phantomarine)
In Phantomarine (http://www.phantomarine.com/), my favorite AND least favorites to write for... are both of my villains My favorite to write for is the 'fun villain' - a character as quirky and dramatic as they are threatening. It's super satisfying to just get into their words and PLAY.(edited)
The other is the 'cold villain' - calculating and quiet and controlled. Dramatic fun villains are way more my thing, so writing one that's so restrained (combined with all the bad things I know she's done )... I genuinely dislike writing for her. She holds me back from having fun... AND she's a meanie
Deo101 (Millennium)
In millennium (https://millennium.spiderforest.com/) My favorite to write for is definitely Keith and Aaron... I know technically that's two characters but they practically count as one, so I'm gonna say them. I just really like writing their goofy interactions and their silly jokes, and the way they interact with eachother versus with everyone else.
I..... Don't have a least favorite to write honestly. If I had to pick one, I guess I would say the HARDEST person to write for is Kessiah, which I guess makes writing her scenes my least favorite? That's just because shes the newest character of the whole cast, though, so I don't know her as well. I still like writing her and I love the scenes shes in and shes super important, she's just harder so I dread some of her scenes because I don't quite know how to fit her in. (She was added kind of last minute, everyone else has been there years before I started!)
AntiBunny
In AntiBunny http://antibunny.net/ I've often said my favorite character to draw is Piago, but probably my favorite to write is Penelope, because of how organically she's grown over time. And she gives me a nice challenge to write because she always seeks non-violent solutions, and she doesn't live in the sort of world where that's always an option.
For least favorite, probably Malphas. He never shuts up, and that's tons of dialogue I have to work in. He's the kind of guy who uses ten words where one would do just fine. If he gets talking he can grind the pace to a halt. Juju I'd also say is difficult to write. Readers want another chapter with her, but honestly, her kind of grim humor really isn't my cup of tea anymore. I've grown as a person and she hasn't, so I'm not really sure what to do with her.
snuffysam
For Super Galaxy Knights Deluxe R: http://sgkdr.thecomicseries.com/comics/ Mizuki and Taci are definitely the most fun to write, especially when they're interacting with each other. Mizuki is the perfect roaster, and Taci is the perfect roast target, so I'm not sure I can pick a favorite between them. For least favorite... either Cahe or Gynu. Gynu has very little personality besides being loud and powerful. He serves as a counter to Suzigu's lazy/annoyed attitude I suppose, but on his own he doesn't really do much for me. Cahe is a bit more entertaining, and while he's not particularly complex I am glad that his kind, mostly innocent personality is a part of the comic. The real issue with Cahe is his powerset - it's basically impossible to work him back into the story as a fighter because of how his ability works.
HiddenElephant
For The Wide Ocean: http://thewideocean.thecomicseries.com/
Most fun to write: Zahrah. Unsurprisingly one of the main characters, the reason why she's fun to write is because it's surprisingly fun to see which poor decision she'll make next, or she's bonding / living with the people around her.
Least fun to write: Paea. A minor character who's hard to remember. I don't have an especially good grip on her character, and a lot of the time it feels like I'm writing her because the plot calls for a sharkfolk who fills the niche she fills; someone we know, who is a little bit of a jerk but not as much of a jerk as another character.
Steph (@grandpaseawitch)
In http://oldmanandtheseawitch.tumblr.com/ I only really have two main characters are the moment and one I only partially write for, as Ains belongs to his creator and I'm essentially using him on loan. So technically, it'd be Witchy. Truth be told, it's also Witchy because he's basically male-Yzma, he likes being mean and nasty, he's a dramatic, crafty fish-man with an eye for pretty things and absolutely zero ability to be introspective on his own feelings. But there's a strange, surprising depth and sympathy to him where he should otherwise be unsympathetic.
For non main characters, probably Hiro. He's such a goofy little fisherman and will invariably be doing something stupid in the background. I love him. I would die for him.
Least favorite... gosh. I try to make every character a character I would love writing for or could make a main story for, so that's honestly pretty hard. There's King [Redacted], who will not show up for a LONG time but his characterization is always slippery for me--unlike his son. Who is somewhere in the character page but also won't show up for a long time.
@LadyLazuli (Phantomarine) VILLAINS VILLAINS VILLAINS ARE THE BEST TO WRITE FOR
LadyLazuli (Phantomarine)
@Steph (@grandpaseawitch) THERE IS NO DOUBT ABOUT THAT
HiddenElephant
Actually, I'd debate that, especially when they are irrevocably cruel, violent, self-serving and delusional.
keii4ii
Well, some people genuinely have a ton of fun writing characters like that. Whatever Floats Your Boat and To Each Their Own
kayotics
yeah I gotta agree with Keii, sometimes people just love writing villains. And sometimes those are the most fun? You don't have to write them winning, either
keii4ii
I love lawful good/ lawful neutral characters, good or bad, both as a creator and as a reader. But I'm fully aware that not everyone likes them, and that's okay!
LadyLazuli (Phantomarine)
True! I know Steph and I definitely lean more in the villain/antihero-centric direction, but depending on your story’s aim - and the kind of villain you’re writing - it can either be a chore or a delight. Writing stalwart, lawful-good heroes is a nightmare for me, in comparison. It’s just not something I’m strong at
keii4ii
(psst lawful good does not always a hero make. You can totally have lawful good losers :'D)
kayotics
i think most of my favorite characters to write are chaotic in nature, whether they're villain or hero, or even just a side character, so really there's all sorts of directions you can go
keii4ii
Yeah!
Steph (@grandpaseawitch)
Lawful-good is an alignment that sees very little action in my writing, haha. As an entity of chaos myself, it tends to leak into my characters.
But the worst of the worst, the True Villain, is absolutely a delight to write. I've written a few bad-end versions of Witchy like that in other universes and they were IMMENSELY fun.
LadyLazuli (Phantomarine)
A lawful good loser is actually a character I’m currently trying to write. He’s right on the edge of what I’m comfortable with. A layered kind of good. Good that means well, but suffers on the way to goodness. It’s a great exercise, and I’m starting to genuinely love him. A golden hero who always succeeds and does the right thing... may actually show up as a secondary villain someday, in comparison 🤫
Steph (@grandpaseawitch)
Oh! I may not have a LAwful Good character, but... there is one for a main character.
Which is Mister Ains. :3
So there is technically one in the comic.
He's a fun kind of LAwful Good because... he was originally the type of Order Is Very Important type of Lawful Good. A good heart, but sometimes might have put rules above people, and over the years, learned how to be the more "Good Is More Important Than Order" kind of lawful good. Which, to bring things back around to the topic, is why he's a very fun character to write, and probably the most fun of the characters on loan to me.
Erin Ptah (BICP | Leif & Thorn)
I would put "Good Is More Important Than Order" under Neutral Good, personally. (Assuming it doesn't go all the way to "good is more important because order is useless," which sounds like Chaotic Good.)
Lawful Good seems like a tough alignment to write -- maybe the toughest? Because it's unrealistic for there to be no unjust laws. If the character starts off earnestly believing all the laws are for a good purpose, that works, but eventually they're going to find a bad one and be forced to choose...
Deo101 (Millennium)
I've always thought of it more like "do good and dont break any laws"
Erin Ptah (BICP | Leif & Thorn)
But sometimes, the only good thing to do is breaking the law.
Extreme examples are things like "you're legally required to report on your neighbors if they question the government, and anyone who's reported mysteriously disappears in the night."
keii4ii
One way to go about it is they die trying to change the law the legal way (or the closest possible), e.g. getting killed while doing a peaceful protest
or a suicide protest that doesn't involve physically threatening/harming others (e.g. self incineration protests by Buddhist monks)
Nutty (Court of Roses)
the Player's Handbook for D&D: "Lawful Good creatures can be counted on to do the right thing as expected by society."(edited)
keii4ii
Also, lawful good doesn't have to mean "the MOST upper-est left-est corner possible in the alignment graph." You can be like, 90% lawful 88% good or something.
Nutty (Court of Roses)
"Neutral Good folk do the best they can to help others according to their needs. Chaotic Good creatures act as their conscious directs, with little regard to what others expect."
keii4ii
That too. Society =/= the government
at least, not in every case!
Erin Ptah (BICP | Leif & Thorn)
Yeah, "expectations of society" is a different standard from "laws of society." And it'll vary from subgroup to subgroup, so if the character sticks to "the expectations off my social circle that believes it's wrong to inform on our neighbors," it's easier to maintain.
Nutty (Court of Roses)
Yeah! i was double checking the book and saw that description, and for that very reason is why i brought it up
Erin Ptah (BICP | Leif & Thorn)
You'd still have to always associate with a group that shares your current values, so you'd have to deal with conflict by convincing people to come around to your point of view...that, or dumping them and finding a new friend group...
keii4ii
As someone who consistently tests lawful good, I genuinely don't get why this is any harder than any other alignment! Like... I'm not lawful good 100% of the time, but I'm still closest to that alignment than any other, overall!
Erin Ptah (BICP | Leif & Thorn)
I mean, I probably follow the local laws 90% of the time, but I wouldn't say that makes me Lawful so much as lucky!
keii4ii
Just because some evil-aligned villain has the occasional Pet The Dog moment, doesn't necessarily make them good or even neutral, yeah?
Erin Ptah (BICP | Leif & Thorn)
...no? But I'm not sure that's the same issue.
keii4ii
Say a lawful good character breaks a rule they consider to be fundamental to being lawful. It can happen. One key difference, for me, is how they deal with it afterward.
Deo101 (Millennium)
I like to think of it more as a tendancy than a hard set rule, too
Nutty (Court of Roses)
I myself consider Merlow Chaotic Good, but not because he's a wacky unpredictable guy, he just goes with the flow and what feels right to him.
Erin Ptah (BICP | Leif & Thorn)
So would the difference be that "lawful good" feels bad/guilty/distraught about having to break the rule, whereas "neutral good" doesn't feel attached to the rule, just satisfied that they did the right thing?
Nutty (Court of Roses)
that sounds about right
or at least, the LG one would be self conscious about it and worry about what others think
keii4ii
Maybe not even "what others think"
Erin Ptah (BICP | Leif & Thorn)
NG would probably worry about that to some extent too, just for practical reasons.
keii4ii
depending on the situation
Nutty (Court of Roses)
true
Erin Ptah (BICP | Leif & Thorn)
But "willing to break the law for the greater good, just beats themself up about it afterward" is a much easier character type to sustain than what I was thinking!
Nutty (Court of Roses)
yeah!
keii4ii
like, it could be more about... worry about what they believe others SHOULD think (this can be very relevant if there is a big rift in the society with regards to what's right -- maybe they're in the minority, and don't feel guilty about acting contrary to what the majority believes to be right)
(I really like parentheses in case you haven't noticed)
Erin Ptah (BICP | Leif & Thorn)
(lol me too)
Nutty (Court of Roses)
(whisper whisper)
Erin Ptah (BICP | Leif & Thorn)
So that goes back to the "LG character adheres to the rules of their particular subculture" idea.
keii4ii
That sounds about right
Though there could be exceptions -- like, what if that subculture is all about anarchism?
Erin Ptah (BICP | Leif & Thorn)
Chaotic Lawful!
And given the history of real-world attempts at anarchist communities, we know that one can only sustain itself about five minutes before self-destructing...
Nutty (Court of Roses)
loooool

Talaura day 6: Gender and sexuality
Hey all, Bunny here. Gonna be honest, this isn’t something I’ve thought overly much about. I understand that it can play a huge part in shaping the world, the attitudes of its people and so on, but it’s not something I tend to fixate on. With that having been said, there are a few notes that I’ve made on this topic.
• The most interesting aspect of gender in Jafleaye is the primogenitrix law of inheritance. If a person dies intestate, the majority of their assets are expected to be passed onto the eldest daughter. Sons are expected to make their own fortune, not to leech off what their fathers left behind; while daughters are expected to use their money to make savvy investments and ultimately further their own position in society. The divide in Jafleaye is not between men and women but between classes, the haves and have-nots, though their generally liberal attitude towards “new blood” means that upwards mobility is common, more often among women who have the resources to invest and are often educated on the same level as (if not better than) men. Homosexuality is not an issue within Jafleaye, where same-sex marriages are heard-of (if not exactly common). The divide between public and private spheres is well-understood, and even the most bigoted members of the upper echelons of society operate on a “Don’t ask, don’t tell.” policy. Although ostensibly illegal in Jafleaye, prostitution is tacitly condoned and escorts and concubines, while not explicitly referred to as such, are common sights in wealthy households. In addition, upper-class women are often allowed to have more than one partner (though polyandry is not legal), since this reflects their diverse economic interests, and well-educated, worldly women are understood to have lavish parties with many guests that escalate into something more risqué though these are not discussed outside. Upper-class men, however, are expected to remain faithful to their partners, particularly if those partners are their patrons or benefactors as well.
• Shabar’s culture being primarily dominated by displays of strength means that sexism is an unfortunate side effect of institutionalised prejudice rather than being explicit. Rather than what you are, the Shabari will judge you based on what you do, but sexism is still prevalent, particularly among non-orc races. Female orcs are typically looked down upon until they prove themselves, unlike male orcs who are respected until they do something to lose that respect, and the men of other races are accepted more readily into Shabari warbands than the women are, though again, anyone who can prove themselves capable is likely to gain trust; and anyone who betrays that trust will be ostracised. The orcs have a transient idea of gender identity, and many choose to take on the names or epithets of the ancestors they respect the most, regardless of (perceived or actual) gender. The Voivod of a warband will often take several partners (willingly or by force), as is understood to be their right. Other members of the warband are free to choose partners for themselves, but the decisions of the Voivod will supersede the decisions of lower individuals. Historically, both elves and humans had been kept as slaves by Shabari warbands for multiple purposes, but sometimes ended up marrying into the clan to achieve full status. Again, this often was not the choice of the slave, though mutual affection between these sorts of couples were not unprecedented. In addition, a Voivod may have kept many slaves in a personal harem, typically women and young men, partly for their own pleasure and partly as a further expression of power. Recently, slavery has been outlawed by four of the five principal countries of Talaura and Shabar, while not involved in that decision-making process, has slowly been attempting to phase out the practice or risk embargo from the other nations (or worse).
• Mothers in Tesman enjoy far more rights than fathers, though this does not necessarily extend to women in general. It is often difficult to prove which member of the clan sired the child, but the mother is not so easily called into question, making her the primary caretaker (though all members of the clan are expected to contribute to the child’s upbringing) and also giving her name to the child (Tesman names consist of three parts: a given name, chosen most often by the mother but sometimes put to a vote by the whole clan; a matronymic, being identical to the mother’s given name apart from necessary inflectional differences, since the Tesman language Pwoðgá has a complex grammatical gender system; and a surname, derived from the clan). The communal nature of life in Tesman means that homosexuality is not only accepted but expected to some degree. Fidelity and exclusivity are practically anathema among these clans, who are expected to be open and intimate with one another (to a degree that some might find disturbing, perhaps even bordering on incestuous). Promiscuity is not frowned upon, though an individual is considered at fault if their actions have caused the upset of another and this extends to sexual activities. In addition to this, there exists a particular caste of exclusively-female shamans and seers, known collectively as Vǫlur (singular Vǫlva). Though male spirit-talkers do exist, men cannot become Vǫlur, who enjoy a privileged position in society, commanding great respect from all members of their clans as well as in other clans. Potential Vǫlur are selected at a young age and trained in a number of disciplines including herbalism and traditional medicine, augury, spirit-talking and so on. It is, in fact, a crime punishable by exile for a man to be found practising these specific disciplines, seen to be intruding on the realm of exclusively female magic.
• Some (but not all) lionfish merfolk are sequentially hermaphroditic, beginning their lives as males and metamorphosing into females as the needs of their community vary. These societies are typically matriarchal, with men fulfilling roles associated with manual labour, hunting and fishing, combat and so on; whereas women will be leaders, civil servants and business owners, for example. Primary education typically covers all of these topics (in addition to history, science, the arts, arithmetic and so on), since it is impossible to tell which of the young boys in the school might grow into young women. As time has gone on, this has led to an increasingly blurred distinction between male and female in the minds of the Aspuan merfolk in particular, and more recently the metamorphosis has been less to do with actual physicality and more to do with psychology, being an active decision on the part of many; and down to what feels right or natural for many more. Even the merfolk whose biology remains consistent throughout life might find themselves taking up a more typically “masculine” or “feminine” roles, though this psychological transition is generally more common among those born male than female. Among the more solitary sharkfolk, mothers are expected to raise their young the bare minimum, then leave their broods to fend for themselves. Sharkfolk are often seen as much more “feral” than their brightly-coloured cousins, considered barbaric or brutal by many, and they often have trouble integrating with society. Sharkfolk don’t like interacting with other races. In fact, they rarely like interacting with other sharkfolk, only coming together to mate and beyond that, finding the company of others tiresome and unnecessary. Sharkfolk rarely form communities with one another and as such, there is no

If dolphins were still alive in your universe, how would the shark species react to gay dolphins since homosexuality is not very well documented in sharks afaik.
Although there is still no evidence of this in sharks, in this world-building, after the sharkfolk adapted to inhabit the surface and developed the civilization known as the Waiohana, forms of expression flourished in the most diverse ways, just as happened with human beings in the past.
But unlike us, throughout the entire history of the Waiohana, there has never been any person, book, culture or religion that has judged the diversity of expressions of love, sexuality, gender or identity as something sinful or unnatural. Therefore, it would never cross the minds of the sharkfolk to judge in any way the sexual diversity of a cetaceanfolk, should they exist in this particular world-building.
At the same time, during the modern age, something like the LGBTQ+ community with its organizations and symbols never existed, because no one ever had to fight just to exist. So no one has ever assigned a name or title to who they are, simply everyone expresses their authentic self without fear!
Of course, it's not perfect; there are still some problems related to xenophobia between species due to vestiges of territorial instinct, but nothing as devastating as wars. That's an issue they've been improving over the ages.
There are a few things I thought I'd explore, in case you're curious. For example, I like the idea of the absence of sexual dimorphism in sharks, and I wanted to reflect this in my sharkfolk, that is, the bodies of females and males are identical in appearance, differing only in their reproductive organs. There are no breasts or hair on their bodies, and their voices also tend to be androgynous. I also thought that their bodies don't have something like the "Libido" that mammals had, so their relationships and family formations revolve more around social connections than sexual ones.
But if the LGBTQ+ community existed in this "Sharktopia", this is how I imagine my three shark band characters would identify, in case you're curious:
⭐Roberto, the male great hammerhead shark, he would identify as Bisexual! ⭐Tiago the tiger shark, is actually a female, but has always seen himself as masculine and would identify as Non-binary! ⭐Aria, the female Zebra shark, she would identify as Asexual and as an extra curiosity, she is also neurodivergent!
That's it! I hope you enjoy it.✨

Male sharkman/samebito x male reader (nsfw) *commission*
Edit which I’m including in all my works after plagiarism and theft has taken place: I do not give my consent for my works to be used, copied, published, or posted anywhere. They are copyrighted and belong to me.
This was one of my five commission slots, and was huge fun to write since I’ve never had the pleasure of writing a sharkman (ie, has a shark upper half!). I really hope you enjoy it!
---
With a week to kill until you started your new job, you dragged yourself out of your new apartment full of boxes and bags late one evening, fed up with tripping over disembowelled boxes. Feeling halfway to being hungry, you really just wanted to stretch your legs and have a break from pretending to unpack.
The tang of the sea in the air was surprisingly nice after the stuffiness of the big city, but that didn’t mean you’d be going for a swim anytime soon. You shivered at the thought of that much water on all sides, and instead satisfied yourself with a walk along the seafront. It was a pretty, quaint town, with turn-of-the-century apartment buildings lining the road that ran along the beach front, and there was even an old pier with a boardwalk and amusement arcade.
Seagulls shrieked at the sky as the stars began to wake up above them, and you took a deep breath, stuffing your hands into your jacket pockets. A new start in a town where you knew no one at all was all very well, but the reality of it was a bit more daunting than perhaps you’d realised. The sea washed against the shingles below and you turned away from the water and crossed the road, heading towards the livelier part of the beach-front.
Just across the street from the pier was an apparently very popular nightclub. Even at a distance the air throbbed with its music, and people formed a ragged line along the pavement, waiting to be let in.
You walked along the line of jostling and laughing people and caught snatches of their conversations. A faun with her antlers painted in swirls of glowing colours for the evening gasped and hissed, “I didn’t know samebito could live out of the water…” and you frowned.
Samebito were otherwise known as sharkfolk or sharkmen/women, and they were pretty rare. You also hadn't known they could live out of the water, but it wasn’t until you neared the head of the queue that you saw your first one in real life. With the head of a great white shark, the figure was colossal. Wearing a black t-shirt with the club’s logo that just barely stretched across his sculpted chest, this samebito was clearly the bouncer, and as you kept walking - albeit at a slower pace so that you could watch a little longer - you saw him joking and laughing with the people who were at the very front of the queue.
Suddenly someone got elbowed and a snarl went up, and a bit of a scuffle broke out as a gnoll’s patience ran out and she tried to barge her way forwards.
The samebito drew his lips back to reveal a heck of a lot of teeth, and loomed over the gnoll, flexing his shoulders just a little bit, and she suddenly decided that in fact she didn’t mind waiting. It was a gesture that you found surprisingly attractive, but a second later, the samebito had returned to his conversation with the folks at the front, almost as though nothing had happened. You did notice, however, that he kept half an eye on the rest of the line.
“Hey, Tai?” one of the folks a few people back in the queue called and the samebito looked up.
“Yeah?”
“How long’s the wait you reckon?”
He shrugged and grinned. “You’ve got maybe another ten minutes til you’re in…”
And then you were drawing level with him, and he glanced at you as you neared him.
To your surprise, he winked at you. It wasn’t the normal wink of a land creature, more of a rolling of the white of his eye, but still, you took it for what it was and tossed him a lopsided half-smile and kept on walking. Something inside you had leapt joyously at the fact that a being as powerful and undeniably beautiful - in a brutal, almost primeval kind of way - had not only bothered to notice you, but had then acknowledged you as well.
Smiling privately to yourself, you continued on your evening stroll, passing coffee shops and souvenir shops now closed for the night, and finally found yourself back at your messy apartment, with the edge taken off your restlessness and a readiness for sleep beginning to creep into your muscles.
After a week of cloudy or rainy autumn weather, it came as a pleasant surprise when the next day dawned clear but still cool. After fumbling around for some clean clothes, you thought vaguely about going and getting some coffee from one of the waterfront cafes you’d seen on your walk the previous night. You certainly hadn’t got as far as buying any in yet, and you wouldn’t make it through the morning without a hit of caffeine to help you along.
Stifling a yawn, you made your way past the club where you’d seen the samebito, and recalled his wink with a flaring warmth and another private smile. The club was closed up now; quiet and dormant, waiting for the nightlife to return with the sunset, and there was no sign of the sharkman.
The coffee at the Pier View Cafe was actually pretty decent, and you sank down into a chair outside to sip it and savour the warmth of the morning sun on your bare forearms. After maybe ten minutes, spent alternately scrolling through your usual sites on your phone and gazing off into the glittering waves in the distance, you caught sight of a massive figure leaving one of the beach-front buildings not twenty yards from where you were sat. At nearly eight feet tall and about half as wide at the shoulders, with grey skin and the head of a great white shark, there was no mistaking him. The bouncer from the previous night turned from locking the door, took three paces up the street towards you, and then halted briefly when he saw you looking at him.
Heat flushed your cheeks and you looked away awkwardly, but when you risked a look up again, you saw to your horror that he was walking over. Perhaps he thought you were stalking him? All sorts of scenarios - each one marginally more ridiculous than the last one - played through your head until you swallowed them down and took a deep breath. The samebito was standing in front of you, grinning down at you and blocking out the sunlight better than a flipping eclipse.
“Hey,” he said in a gravelly, deep voice that threatened to make you entirely inarticulate.
“Uh… Hi…?” you croaked, craning your neck up at him.
He chuckled and held out a grey-skinned, knuckly, strong hand and you shook it instinctively. “So… I saw you last night, didn’t I?” he asked warmly, and you nodded. “Didn’t fancy dancing though?” he added.
You liked the playful lilt to his voice, halfway between an accent and an undertone, and before it could render you speechless, you shook your head. “Not so much.”
Again, a rumbling laugh rolled off him. “You’re new here, aren't you?”
“What makes you say that?”
The samebito took half a step back from your table and shrugged one colossal shoulder. “Most of the real locals don’t stare at me the way you do.”
“I’m sorry,” you blurted, turning your gaze away from him.
He looked particularly handsome that morning, in a white t-shirt that showed his chest muscles off and hid practically nothing, and a pair of baggy, pale jeans. He’d cut and stitched a slit in the back of the t-shirt for his chunky dorsal fin, and it stood out as a nearly perfect triangle of smoky grey skin in the morning light.
“I… I moved here like… last week? I’ve never seen someone like you before. I didn’t mean to stare or make you uncomfortable.”
“It’s cool,” he said, ducking his head ever so slightly as if to gauge you a little better. “Listen, you’re cute and you’ve finished your drink. Will you let me get you another one?”
“Uh… I mean, I was just about to head off,” you said, gesturing vaguely and frowning, and honestly panicking just little bit. This kind of thing never happened to you. “You don’t have to. And anyway, shouldn’t I be the one offering to get you a drink after making an ass of myself?”
His grin and pointed look southwards towards your own ass spoke volumes, and you flushed darker, but he made no verbal comment, and just shook his head. “I’d like to. Don’t let me push you though. If you don’t want me to, then I’ll piss off…”
It was your turn to shake your head, and when he saw that you did really want the chance to get to know him a bit, he smiled broadly, showing all his array of serrated teeth.
“Great. What can I get you then?”
You told him and he nodded. “Man after my own heart,” he said and ducked inside the cafe, leaving you sitting in the chill breeze wafting in from offshore and wondering how you had got so lucky. Or, more accurately, what the catch would be…
He backed out of the cafe door a few minutes later, shoving it open with his perfect arse, with a cardboard takeaway cup in each hand, a brown paper takeaway bag swinging from his wrist by the handle, and a big smile on his face. When he caught you looking curiously at it, he laughed and said, “I like my sweets, ok? Oh, my name’s Tai by the way.” He looked comically from the coffee cups and then to you and said, “Help a shark out so he can shake your hand?”
Laughing, you took your cup off him and shook his hand. His skin was rough as fine-grit sandpaper, and though the grip was prodigiously strong you got the feeling he was definitely holding back.
Taking a deep breath, you told him your name and added, “You want to stay here or go for a walk?”
Tai gazed longingly down the quiet stretch of seafront and shrugged. “Walk sounds good? As long as you don’t mind if I chow down on the way? I’m starving.”
“Course not,” you said.
“So where’d you live before coming here?” he asked as you set off. “And why the hell did you move here of all places?”
“Work,” you said. “I don’t start til next week though, so I’ve got time to kill.” You tried to sip your coffee but it was still too hot, so you went on, “I lived in the city before.”
Tai shuddered dramatically and said, “Man, I couldn’t live without the sea.”
“I’m surprised you don’t actually live in the sea,” you said. “I mean… it doesn’t bother you?”
He shot you a sidelong look and said, “They don’t have TV or Wifi in the sea. Not yet, anyway. And pizza doesn’t do too well underwater either. Pizza is life…”
You snorted and he laughed with you. You liked the way he looked at you - the way his gaze lingered at the corners of your mouth and on your eyes - and you tried not to preen under his powerful stare.
“I do swim a lot though,” he added around an enormous bite of pastry before groaning. “Oh wow. They make the best Danish there,” he said, gesturing over his shoulder and flicking crumbs onto his shirt.
Feeling uncharacteristically bold, you reached up and brushed them off for him, and his smile widened. “I hate swimming,” you admitted, avoiding his gaze. “Well, I hate the water… being surrounded by it… not knowing what’s down there…” You fought off a shudder and he nodded.
“I can see that,” he said. “No, really, I can… I mean, I’m one of the things that folks don’t tend to argue with, on land or on sea, but just coz I’ve got a mouthful of pearly whites doesn’t mean there aren’t dangers out there. Still, I try and swim every morning.”
“Yeah?”
He nodded, pausing to take another bite and finish off the second croissant in the bag. “I like to race by best friends. Gotta stay sharp, you know?”
“They’re samebito like you?” you asked, trying the somewhat unfamiliar word out on your tongue. ‘Samebito’ wasn’t a word you used everyday after all.
He shook his head. “Nah, we don’t live in shoals or anything. No, Freya is a selkie and Viggo is an orca mer.”
Your eyebrows rose at that, and he chuckled another rough, happy laugh. “I know, you’d think I’d want to eat Freya, given that I’m a shark and she’s a seal - but I’m not a complete beast, I swear. We’ve been besties for years, and holy crap is she fast.” He took another sip of his coffee and groaned. “Ah that’s good. And yeah, Viggo is like a brother to me. He was involved in an accident with a fishing trawler about ten years ago, but that doesn't stop him beating me soundly almost every morning!” he laughed.
“Is he ok?” Life in the ocean seemed even more brutal than you had imagined.
Tai shrugged. “Lost his left arm and a fuck-ton of confidence, but yeah, he’s doing alright now.”
“Not all the dangers out there have teeth,” you offered quietly, turning your eyes to the relatively calm ocean on your right as you both made your way along the smooth tarmac of the seafront.
You and Tai continued to walk and chat long after he’d finished his breakfast and both of your coffee cups had been ditched in the bin. He had an odd and slightly brash sense of humour, and an open kind of confidence that drew you in and made you feel at ease around him.
The pier had all but dwindled out of sight when suddenly he glanced at his watch and cursed. “Fuck, I’ve got to be at work in ten minutes! I didn’t realise it was so late!”
“I didn’t know the club opened so early,” you ventured.
Tai shook his head. “I work part time as a swimming coach at the school on the edge of town. Got to hold down a couple of jobs if I wanna live like you landies do!” While you smiled, he added, “Listen, can I give you my number? I had fun…”
“Sure,” and in moments, the two of you had exchanged numbers and he’d promised to be in touch.
Without warning, he opened his arms and moved in for a hug before abruptly halting and asking, “Is that ok? I’m a hugger… but not everyone is…”
Shaking your head with a smile, you said, “It’s cool. Thanks though…”
The hug he gave you was polite but heartfelt, and you tried not to enjoy his looming closeness too much before he had pulled back and was jogging away with a jovial wave over his shoulder.
You watched him go, standing there for a long time with the sea breeze ruffling and messing up your hair before you followed in his wake and turned your footsteps back towards your apartment.
A few days slid by in a blur of unpacking and sorting, and getting stuff like internet and electricity contracts going, and while you were busy, you found your mind wandering back to Tai; his strong, grey hands in particular, though his muscular shoulders and arms were equally delicious. The power in his shark’s jaw must have been immense, but his smile, although toothy and broad, had been friendly and his sense of humour had kept you chuckling to yourself for days.
But there was no sign that he wanted to see you again. He didn’t call or text, and you’d sort of abandoned the idea of getting to know him better until one evening, perhaps four days after your walk along the seafront, when your phone buzzed just as you were tucking into a takeaway, with your feet up on the couch. Scrabbling around for your phone, you nearly dropped your food in your lap when you saw that the message was from Tai.
‘Hey I’m so sorry I didn’t call you,’ he began. ‘There was some drama at the club and it kind of took over my life for a bit. I know this might be super weird, but can I take you out for dinner some time? I had so much fun chatting with you the other day. Anyway, let me know either way, T x’
You weren’t used to someone being so free with their emotions and so confident about what they wanted, but it was reassuring and you replied that dinner would be great, and that you were free the next night.
‘Perfect!’ came his response. ‘Listen, I’d kind of like to surprise you, but is there anything you really wouldn’t want to do? I remember you said you didn’t like the water much so it wouldn’t involve boats or anything I promise :)!’
Anxiety did spike in your gut at the idea of a surprise date, if that was what he was suggesting, but deciding to throw caution to the wind and to start over anew here, you told him you were grateful that he remembered about your dislike of the water, and other than that, you were game for most things.
With everything sorted, he replied with a message full of emojis and exclamation marks that he was looking forward to seeing you and that he’d meet you in the centre of town the next evening since it was his night off. ‘Oh and don’t come fancy or anything - it won’t be posh…’
‘That’s… honestly a relief…’
‘Glad to hear it! See you tomorrow!!! :D x’ Again, you allowed yourself a bit of a goofy smile at the over-peppering of exclamation marks.
Wearing a smart-ish pair of jeans and your favourite t-shirt, you strode through town the next evening with a light feeling filling your chest for the first time in a long while. Things were definitely new and different here, and you just hoped that it would all turn out for the better.
A group of satyrs and fauns up ahead were laughing and joking with a pair of gnolls, the latter yipping and leaping around, and you stared openly at them as you passed, amazed at how the three species all seemed to be getting along so well. Back in the city, folks tended to let prejudices sit deeply and interactions like this would just never happen. Then again, you wouldn’t have found yourself on a date with a sharkman back in the city either.
You were still smiling to yourself about it when you saw him pacing up and down by the fountain in the middle of the square. Because of his size and unusual silhouette, he was instantly recognisable, but you supposed you were a bit ordinary and didn’t expect him to notice you until you were nearly level with him. However, he surprised you by turning his head suddenly, a little like a bird of prey, and waving expansively at you, calling your name and grinning. He had to be the most extroverted person you’d ever met.
A bit bashful, but still laughing, you joined him and he hugged you. “Sorry,” he mumbled as he drew back. “I didn’t mean to embarrass you…”
“It’s fine,” you smiled. “You look nice…” you added as you took in the jeans that hugged his muscular legs and made his arse look frankly incredible, and the dark blue t-shirt that seemed to bring out the blueish hues of his grey skin. In light of the street lamps in this part of town, his white markings seemed to glow, and you honestly thought he was one of the most beautiful creatures you’d ever laid eyes on.
“Glad you think so,” he rumbled quietly. “You wanna go? I hope you’re not afraid of heights…”
“Heights?”
He grinned down at you and said, “You’ll see. There’s plenty else to do there as well if you’re not into heights…” He sounded odd, like he was straining the point, but you let it slide. Perhaps he was as nervous as you were after all?
After a short walk across town, during which you listened to him decompressing about the drama at the club which had involved one of the patrons being harassed and some legal action being threatened, you quickly cottoned on to where he was leading you.
Music played and lights danced in the sky as you reached the fairground that had been set up on the edge of town for the harvest festival and to celebrate the end of summer. You began to laugh as he took your hand in his.
“No?” he asked, seeming to refer both to the fact that he was holding your hand and to the fair beyond. Although he had a shark’s upper body, he was still expressive and you caught the definite hint of worry in his dark blue eyes as he gazed down at you.
With a roll of your own eyes at him and a squeeze of your hand in his, you tugged him towards the fair.
“Phew,” he laughed. “You scared me for a moment there.”
“I’m sure you must go on dates all the time,” you said without really thinking, “But it’s been a while for me, ok? I just didn’t know what to expect, especially since… uh… I’ve not dated someone like you before.”
“Another guy or a shark?” he asked quietly. The sincerity in his voice was reassuring and you smiled.
“Shark,” you clarified.
“Right,” he said. “You hungry?”
“I could definitely eat,” you said. “How about there?” and you pointed to a noodle stand where a small queue was just beginning to form. It smelled amazing.
He’d just turned to look when a figure stumbled out of the haunted house ride to your right, laughing, her hand firmly held in that of the girl she was with, and when she saw Tai, she shrieked his name and practically skipped over to him, yanking the poor girl nearly off her feet.
“Freya!” he boomed, opening one arm to hug her without letting go of your hand.
“Omg!” she yipped when she saw you. “Is this him? Ah! He’s so handsome! Tai! You lucky little scrap of chum!”
You could only stand there awkwardly while Tai’s best friend cooed over the pair of you and then announced that she needed some food after the spooky ride. “You guys want to join us?” she asked brightly, her big dark eyes flitting from your face to Tai’s.
While she seemed lovely enough, you hadn’t really intended to share your date with anyone else, but to your surprise Tai immediately sensed that and said, “Uh, we were actually about to go… uh…” He gazed around and saw the ferris wheel and blurted, “Go on the wheel…”
A slow smile dawned on Freya’s face and her dark eyebrow rose. “Oh yeah?” she said. “Well don’t let me stop you, sweetheart.” And as Tai bid her and her girlfriend a good evening, you cast him a puzzled look to which he responded with a slight shake of his head.
You were still frowning curiously at him when the bar went down over your knees as you sat in the gondola, and he swallowed thickly.
“Tai?” you asked, looking up at him. Was it your imagination, or was the colouring under his chin slightly green? Perhaps it was the light of the fair below… “You ok?”
“I panicked,” he blurted.
“What?”
“I didn’t think you’d want her asking a million questions about your life just yet - I mean, I wasn’t even sure if this counted as a proper date or whatever - and so I just said the first thing that came into my mind, which was this…”
“And this is a problem because…?”
“I don’t like heights,” he said quietly as the gondola lurched backwards. “Oh gods…”
He gripped the bar so hard that you thought it was going to crumple under his strength. “Hey,” you said, reaching for his thigh and placing your palm on it. He was so tense that it was like putting your hand on a boulder. Taking advantage of the privacy of the moment, you dug your fingertips gently into the muscle. “Look at me,” you said as he stared wide-eyed into the void that was opening up beneath you.
“Freya knew,” he muttered.
“Forget her,” you chuckled. “Look at me.” And when he did, you put your other hand on his cheek and watched him heave out a gentle sigh. The gills in his neck flared wide but he leaned into your touch and laughed, the sound deep in his chest.
He leaned down and nuzzled the blunt tip of his snout against your neck. “I would kiss you,” he said gently, breath fanning across your skin, “But I can’t.”
He brought his hand to your cheek and trailed his thumb down your jaw line as he caressed you, and you felt a stirring in your cock as his fingers wandered downwards. He hadn’t even noticed that the gondola had done nearly a full rotation.
When it finally came round to getting everyone off the wheel, he seemed a lot calmer, though embarrassment had definitely washed in to replace his fear.
“Tai?” you asked as he stood near the ferris wheel with his hand on the railing, breathing deeply and steadily. “You ok?”
He laughed and shot you a sidelong look. “Yeah,” he sighed. “Just feeling a bit…”
“Queasy?”
“Foolish.”
You rapped him lightly on the bicep with the back of your fingers and grinned, “Hey, it’s nice to know that even someone like you can get a bit freaked out sometimes, you know?”
“That’s precisely the point,” he said. “I’m not used to it.”
“Ah, come on, lets have a walk,” you said, taking his hand. “Besides, I pretty much got to kiss you, so it’s not all bad.” You halted and looked up at him with mock suspicion on your face. “Unless it was all a ruse to get close to me…?”
“What? No!” he gasped, his footsteps halting. “I promise you…”
“Relax,” you said. “I was joking.”
He walked beside you for a few paces before murmuring, “You know I wouldn’t do something like that, right?”
You nodded.
Tai cleared his throat. “And actually, going back to something you mentioned earlier, I haven’t been on a lot of dates recently… or… at all.”
Now it was your turn to stop in surprise. “You’re kidding me?”
He shook his head. “Turns out apex predators give off ‘dangerous vibes’. That, and I’m nearly always working…”
“Huh,” you shrugged, still a little baffled. “I’m sorry for just assuming then…”
Tai put his arm around your shoulders and tugged you slightly off balance and into his side. “You want to go eat now?” he asked and you nodded, heading back to the noodle bar.
It was only after wandering aimlessly around the fair to walk down your food that he said, “So… did I do good?”
“With the date?” you asked and he nodded. “It’s been perfect. I honestly didn’t expect to be dating the moment I arrived in this town…”
“Did you want a break from it, or…?”
“No,” you said. “I just… didn’t look for it.”
Tai was holding your hand as the pair of you moved through the bustling, jostling people, dodging drunken revellers and excited teenagers alike. His skin was rough and cool, and his huge presence beside you in the constant ebb and flow of people was undeniably grounding.
“I guess good things just fall into your lap when you’re not expecting it,” you added.
Tai leaned low towards your ear and growled, “I wouldn’t mind having you in my lap…” and you smacked him in his solid chest, laughing. When he laughed, all his jagged teeth showed, and his eyes rolled back just a little in his head. In an odd kind of way, it was attractive, and you smiled up at him.
At a quieter corner of the fair, he paused and looked down at you. Lowering his head, he murmured, “Damn, I really wish I could kiss, you know?”
“What do samebito do instead?” you asked.
He smiled softly. “Our noses are very sensitive,” he said, and he was going to continue but he cut off suddenly when you brought your fingertips to the tip of his snout and traced a gentle circle there. A shudder ran through him and his eyes rolled back for a moment to show the whites. “Damn,” he panted. “Your touch is…” With gills flaring, he nosed you backwards until your back hit the sides of a wooden shack - the side of one of the trinket stalls perhaps - and he began to nose at your neck again.
A soft rumbling emanated from his chest and his hands wandered. He palmed your cock through your jeans and you moaned, rolling your hips a little into the touch, chasing friction. “Not here,” you gasped and he backed off, glassy eyed and nodding.
“No,” he said. “Not here.” And then he laughed, shaking his head. “Damn, you look good all ruffled like that,” he said, thumbing an arc across your cheekbone where your skin was flushed hot.
Not long after that, you agreed to head home and he offered to walk you. At your door, you thanked him for an amazing evening, and touched him again on his nose, this time with your whole palm, your fingers tracing gentle lines up and down the rough skin there. His eyes rolled again and he growled.
“When can I see you again?” he asked breathlessly. Before you got the chance to answer, he had nuzzled against your neck again, and as you leaned into the contact, he parted his jaws and very gently raked his teeth across your skin. His tongue rasped over your pulse and you gasped. “Sorry,” he added as he drew back. “I didn’t hurt you did I?”
Wordlessly you shook your head.
He grinned. “Good. You got an answer to my question or did I chase it away…?”
With a lopsided grin, you nodded. “I start work this week, but I should have some time in the evenings?”
He growled and stepped back, frustrated. “I work most nights from about six. Would Thursday work though?”
In fact, he surprised you at lunch one day, and you managed to show up early to the club to give him a quick kiss before he began his shift, and so you snatched moments here and there when you could. He also took you out the next weekend for a meal which was amazing, and afterwards he said, “Listen, I know we’ve only been going out a short while, but I wanted to do something nice for you… are you free this weekend?”
You nodded, wary but curious. Tai laughed when he saw the expression on your face. “Don’t panic,” he said, taking your slightly clammy hand in his. “I’m not proposing to you… I promise it’s just something nice…” If sharks could do puppy dog eyes, this one would be the best at it. As it was, he just tilted his head and looked at you straight on, which kind of had a similar effect.
In what had now become an instinctual replacement for a traditional kiss, you brought your nose to his and kissed it, making him shiver as always. He really hadn’t been kidding when he’d said the skin there was sensitive, and somehow it always seemed to make him short-circuit a bit when you touched him there. “Whatever you want to do, I’m game,” you said. “I trust you, and I think you’ve got the measure of me by now…”
Scraping his mind back together again after the pleasure of your touch, he nodded. “Alright. I’ll come get you and we can go from your place.”
Wondering what it was he’d got planned filled more than a couple of your spare minutes that week, for sure.
In fact, you needn’t have worried at all. When he showed up at your door, he immediately nuzzled you and he picked you up this time. He dropped the small insulated bag he had been carrying and rumbled softly. You tilted your head back, allowing him better access to you, and he placed his massive jaw around your throat. It was unconventional as greetings went, but it was a bit more exciting than a kiss on the cheek, and you’d grown to enjoy it.
When he’d drawn back, he rasped, “I can’t believe you let me do that.”
His voice was breathless with wonder, and you laughed. “Told you I trusted you. Where are we going?”
He set you back down on your feet and asked, “You ready to go? It’s not far - maybe a five minute walk?”
You pulled the door closed behind you and stepped out into the night while he picked up his bag again and held out his other hand to you. The air was chilly, it being late October now, but the stars were perfectly clear in the inky sky above and there wasn’t a breath of wind.
“So…” he said. “You remember a while back, when I told you about some drama at the club? We had this super wealthy elven model and she got into a bit of a ‘difficult situation’ with this big guy that wouldn’t leave her alone.” You listened to him, nodded, and welcomed the growling undertone in his voice as he spoke of the incident. “So I hauled this guy off her and did that thing with my teeth…”
“What thing?”
“You know, the sharky thing where I pull my lips back…”
“Show me?” you asked, knowing full well what it was he was talking about. He knew it too, and laughed, obligingly baring his teeth at you while you short-circuited for a moment…
“Anyway, I think the guy shat his pants, and she was super grateful to me. She said that if I ever wanted a favour from her, all I had to do was ask, so…” He held up a pair of keys and jangled them softly. “I called it in… She said I could use her beach-front apartment for the night. She’s away at the moment but the doorman knows we’re coming, and she said we could help ourselves to anything in the wine cooler and make ourselves at home.” He raised the cool-bag he was carrying and added, “I prepped some dinner. So long as we don’t trash anything or burn the place down, it’s ours for the night…”
“No way,” you smiled. “That’s really sweet of her.”
He shrugged. “Yeah, she’s a real sweetheart.”
The apartment turned out to be the penthouse, and it was gorgeous. Sleek, modern, and yet cosy, you stood in the doorway behind him as he stepped inside and just looked around, struck stupid by it. “Wow,” you finally breathed.
“How the other half lives, eh?” he grinned. “Come on, let’s look around.”
You didn’t get very far before Tai’s stomach was growling and he had made his way to the super fancy kitchen to start unloading the bag of food he’d brought. It was the most amazing picnic spread, and while he set about finding bowls and plates, you wandered over to the French windows and stepped outside into the chilly night. The deck was gorgeous, and there was even a small fire pit with a log store pressed up against the wall of the flat. Ducking briefly back inside, you called, “Are there any firelighters around?”
“I told you we can’t burn the place down!” he laughed.
“There’s a fire pit… does that count?”
With a fire going in the cast iron brazier and the food nearly finished, Tai sat back in his sun lounger, careful of his dorsal fin, and smiled. “Is it too early to say I’m in love with you?” he asked in an uncharacteristically shy voice, staring up at the sky.
Something about the way he said it, and about the way he looked at you every time he saw you, made you shake your head. “No,” you murmured. “I don’t think so.”
He reached across the space between your two loungers and took your hand, running his thumb over your knuckles. “Never thought I’d fall like this for a landie…”
“I love the way you say that word,” you snorted. “Makes us sound like Martians…”
“I can use the more formal ‘Landfolk’ if you’d prefer,” he said in a falsely haughty voice.
“No…”
“Come here,” he said. “You’re too far away.”
Stepping carefully over the remnants of the food and drink, you allowed him to tug you down into his lap and you lay back against his chest while he nuzzled idly at your neck and hair.
“You smell so good,” he groaned.
“Sharks have a good sense of smell, don’t you?” you asked.
“You have no idea…”
“Huh…” you said, hoping he couldn’t smell just how turned on you were in that moment. You didn’t want to move just yet.
Tai, however, had other ideas. He shifted and you felt the hard line of his cock beneath your ass, and he nudged his hips slightly upwards and groaned. “I want you,” he said. “But… I… ” And all his brash confidence suddenly seemed to crumble.
“What?” you asked, glancing up at him over your shoulder. He couldn’t blush, but his eyes rolled a bit and he looked away. “You think I don’t want you back? Don’t you remember how I was at the fair? I practically came in my pants like a horny teenager…”
He laughed. His jaw was noticeably slacker now, his eyes gleaming brightly in the low light of the fire. “I’m scared,” he whispered in a voice that made your heart lurch.
“Scared of what?”
“I don’t want to hurt you… We’re not… We’re not known for being gentle lovers…”
“I trust you.”
“That… That doesn’t help…” he said with an awkward chuckle. “I mean, it’s amazing, don’t get me wrong, but… I’m…”
“Let me guess, you’re a biter…” you grinned and he rolled his eyes. “I’m sure we can figure it out… would it help if I stayed on top? We can take it slow this time anyway…”
He gazed at you and then smiled softly, gently nudging his nose into your hand as you raised it to ‘kiss’ him. “I don’t deserve you,” he murmured into your palm, tenderly licking a little stripe over it and then up your fingers.
In little more than a few minutes you were both naked, and you got to see him properly for the first time. The patch of white began under his chin at his jaw and moved down his neck to his chest and stomach, tapering down as if to draw attention to his hardening cock. He was beautiful, and big, his tip already glistening as he watched you watching him. “Fuck,” he cursed, reaching for you. “Look at you…”
You sat back down astride him, your own cock pressed against his as you took him in your hand and rolled your hips. He threw his head back and clutched the arms of the lounger, letting out a deep, earthy growl. His hips lurched upwards as you continued to stroke him slowly, rocking your own body against him until the pair of you were slick and desperate.
His chest began to heave and as you scraped your blunt nails down his pecs and over the ridges of his abs, he opened his jaw and showed all his teeth as he began to pant rapidly.
“Fuck, that’s so good,” he moaned, leaning forwards again and enjoying the sight of you working his cock and your own in your hand at the same time. Pre-come spilled down his length as he twitched and gasped, bucking into the tightness of your grip, and he began to growl again.
“I’m… I’m close,” he said breathlessly. “Fuck, I’m so close already…” His jaws closed with a loud clack and his eyes rolled back to show the whites as he suddenly spilled over his chest and abs, his body rocking and convulsing as he came with a muted bellow.
A few seconds later and you followed him, falling forwards onto his messy chest as white heat thundered through you. He was still twitching and gnashing his powerful jaws together, eyes still rolled back, cock pulsing in your hand.
You watched him as he came down from his peak, and you couldn’t resist rocking your hips once more against his spent and sensitive cock. He grunted and his eyes rolled back to look at you.
Tai swallowed and then croaked, “I haven’t come like that in a long time…”
“Me neither,” you grinned. “You want to see what the bathroom’s like in this place?”
After a few more minutes to catch his breath, he said, “Hold on,” and you gripped him round the waist as he stood up and carried you through the apartment, pausing every now and again to nuzzle at your neck and scrape his teeth lovingly over your shoulder. When you finally made it to the bathroom, it was a while before you actually emerged, eventually clean…

Man, I don't even know what to say to this absolute masterpiece. Definitely recommend reading if it even just vaguely sounds interesting.
