Love rivals in my game
So, I’ve been planning over the past few days to add love rivals in my game. You will only encounter them once you start the bachelors’ respective routes. I decided to characterise Singapore as being easily jealous, and growing uneasy as soon as she sees the man she loves socialising with a potential rival. She’s also very protective of her loved ones, and there will be scenes where she rushes to rescue Raffles/Farquhar in their respective routes when they are in danger.
The love rivals in my game are Bencoolen and Malacca, who appear in Raffles’ and Farquhar’s routes respectively. In Raffles’ route, Raffles brings Singapore along with him on a 3-day business trip to Bencoolen, where she meets Bencoolen. She becomes jealous of Raffles spending more time with Bencoolen than with her, and on the last day, she confronts Raffles about his relationship with Bencoolen and questioning why he was spending so much time with her. Raffles is shocked by her sudden assertiveness, and then explains that their relationship was strictly professional. Bencoolen will be more of a supportive rather than obstructive rival, and she doesn’t actually see or treat Raffles as anything more than a business partner. She would be completely unaware that Singapore had been jealous of her relationship with Raffles.
In Farquhar’s route, Malacca visits Singapore to see Farquhar for business purposes and stays for 3 days. She will be more of an obstructive rival who fights with Singapore for Farquhar’s attention, and reminding Singapore that she was the newcomer, whereas she has had 15 years of acquaintance with Farquhar. She would also do things like trip on purpose to get Farquhar’s attention, something Singapore notices and causes her to get annoyed by her actions. On the last day, Singapore confronts Farquhar and tells him she will not give him up to anyone else and asking what relationship he had with Malacca. Farquhar will too be surprised by her sudden assertiveness, and assures her that she was the only one for him, and explains to her that Malacca was nothing more than a long-term business acquaintance. Malacca, who heard everything, walks in, unhappy with what he said, and try to steal Farquhar away by discrediting Singapore in front of him, but Farquhar told her that that was enough and asked her to leave them alone. Malacca then leaves Singapore the next day.
Can’t remember if I posted about it before in this blog, but Singapore will be given British clothes to wear right after the signing of the treaty with the Temenggong. Likewise, both Bencoolen and Malacca will be dressed in British clothing, and they will both look more elegant than Singapore, causing Singapore to feel insecure when she begins to compare herself to either rival. Bencoolen will have a more gentle appearance while Malacca will have a more rival-like and assertive face.
Ah, rather than putting these into words, I should just sketch out their appearances. Anyway, I just want to get the idea out while it’s still fresh in my head.

Articles difficult to find on the internet describe that gaza did 1200+ individual surgical strikes at 1200+ individual locations then threw two bombs on israel without provocation, reason or cause!
Israel are a great country with many rich, succesful, celebrated muslims/ islamic people
Israel have participated in many industries, maybe every industry internationally, done so successfully and helped provide income and savings for hundreds of thousands of families and millions of individuals worldwide.. fiver.com included

Eating my way through Melaka
Visited Melaka in Dec'23 with some of my ex-colleagues.
Tumblr media
Typical Peranakan shophouse in Jonker. Love the mosaic tiles above the entry way.
Tumblr media
Had our first meal at the Geographer's cafe. I can't remember what it was.
Tumblr media
The name of this dish on the menu was "Pandan-infused rice with deep fried chicken marinated in spices..." SHUT UP IT'S NASI LEMAK. But what can you expect from hipster cafes right? That aside, it was not bad actually.
Tumblr media
Hipster-cafe coffee. It was good too.
Tumblr media
Malaysian style dry pan-mee from a roadside stall called Tengkera Mee Hoon Kueh.
Tumblr media
Nyonya laksa from The Peranakan Place at Jonker Street.
Tumblr media
Durian chendol from The Peranakan Place.
December probably wasn't the best time to visit because of the rainy weather but it also wasn't very crowded, so we were able to do some sightseeing without having to jostle with other tourists.
Also, we stayed in a cute boutique hotel which was cosy and quiet even though it was located on a busy junction.
Adios.
