Day 25 : Dangerous (Dangereux)

The bringer of darkness and eternal chaos itself : Makili Pietru !

This monster appears exclusively in Monster Hunter Stories as the final boss of the game. He's got a light counterpart named Versa Pietryu, but he is "kind" compared to it. Makili Pietru wants to bring destruction into the World by summoning the Black Light.

His wing pattern reminds me a lot of the struggle I had with Oltura to be honest with you ... Both were pretty hard to draw that's for sure. But since I've never done him nor Versa Pietru, I thought it was a great opportunity as he was perfectly fitting for this theme.

The Ancient Cookies and the MH monsters they would be…

or at least the monsters that remind me of them because by Gog there are so many it’s hard to choose… except Hollyberry that was the easiest-

So…

Hollyberry- Nergigante

Mainly because in lore Nergigante is an elder that specializes in hunting other monsters of its rank (Just like Hollyberry is known to fight dragons sometimes) and also because it manages to do so without possessing any flashy abilities or elements apart from tons and tons of spikes and regeneration.

we do not talk about how it reproduces

Golden Cheese- Nef Garmat, Kulve Taroth or Ahtal Ka

Nef Garmat: Elder dragon status and also ‘cause of its wings and egyptian inspiration.

Kulve Taroth: also Elder status and… GOLD and technically ruling a place made of such thing

Ahtal Ka: Same as Nef with egyptian inspiration, but most importantly because of its sheer craftiness and power in spite of what initial appearances imply.

Basically: put this things in a blender and you get this queen

Dark Cacao- Dalamadur, Velkhana or Amatsu

Honestly it’s mostly Dalamadur because sheer power, status, it’s music theme, how it’s design and name meaning refers to it as an armored tower/ serpent, how itand it’s nake- I mean, Shah version are seen/ thought as gods that shaped and destroy the world just like Dark Cacao is seen as the one who created the cycle of day and night after defeating those two dragons in his tale…

While Velkhana has the ice theming and fight finesse and Amatsu cause of its easter dragon inspiration… and once again it’s theme music

(also Gogmazios was considered an option because of its going to fortresses to consume the gunpowder and how he probably has some in his kingdom… but he needs a break so Gog isn’t here)

And Finally…

White Lily/ Pure Vanilla-

ok let’s be real i have no idea about these two so that’s why they are together

like, in my head all of this makes sense i can’t just figure out how to elaborate on most of them (Except with the Pietru dragons and how like Lily they start as a force of good but get corrupted and such)

I finally got to play frontier and just beat the stories 1 remaster, surprised nobody still has been talking about makili i always liked the pietrus (also making them a base ASAP cause i love em also they have concept art for better refs let’s goooo)

So since i’m hyperfixated on the games again i’m making myself bases for every single monster. Finished ibushi now working on rathalos cause i want a destruction wyvern ratha oc and seeing he has so many versions of himself… i kinda had to- I have a flying wyvern guideline at least so may work on a majority of them. Will this be free? Probably not i kinda need money for personal stuff going on but maybe someday in the future if i’m comfortable with it. I’m 100% making adopts with these however :)

birds! i adore birds and will gladly mention every bird i see on the street!! favs include bearded vultures, ospreys, eurasian collared doves, rock pigeons and the kauaʻi ʻōʻō [look it up!! you definetely won't be sobbing at extinct birds!! :'3]

ever oasis! really really underrated 3ds game that stuck w me so much for some reason. it's about building and maintaining an oasis the middle of the desert while fighting corrupted beasts and solving silly little puzzles... if that sounds fun check it out 100%. that game changed my life honestly

the final outpost! obscure adoptable creature collector site mixed with a sci-fi twist. each pixel art sprite has many, many genetic variations which results in there being almost infinite numbers of possible creatures to collect in total. the creature designs are so neat and the genetics are so fun to play around, i can spend hours on the creature preview just messing around and i won't get bored

i love making crossovers arts of my interests!! why enjoy one piece of media when you can enjoy multiple at the same time? most of the arts i post here are wc + whatever band i like at the moment

What are your thoughts on the stories exclusive elders like Versa Pietru (Makili Pietru) and Oltura?

I love them and their designs

Especially oltura and its weird lifecycle of a three headed kaiju worm and then butterfly dragon

Makili actually took me a few tries to beat

Also I don’t consider the stories series to be canon to the other monhun games and I personally headcanon it as a book series in universe of the main canon

Gale’s essentially Avinia’s sister, who has a relatively ‘cocky’ attitude to put it short. He’s got a Silver Rathalos infused with Dragon Element, named Dusk! Despite the fact he’s on the evil team, his goal is to protect his sister from Anvis, the big bad in MHST season 2. He eventually redeems himself, though.

And by protagonist I mean either Leo or Lute. You take the pick

What are you expecting me to do?” Gale said “You’re supposed to be rough, else he’ll never learn, thats what i did with Dusk, that way he’s well behaved & knows damn well what not to do” Lute said “Well, excuse me for not having the same mindset as you and for not wanting to pull on my monstie like a captured wild monster!” Gale got irritated & said in a slightly angry tone “Well excuse me for not being the dumbest person on the whole world!” Lute smirked & said “Oh? Im THE dumbest person on the whole world? What happened to Anvis? You suddenly love him that you don’t insult him anymore?” Gale’s eyes widened from shock from that roast, he was in the process of recovering from the shock but then he heard Cheval’s voice “HAHAHAHAHA! That was so good Lute! I haven’t laughed like that since the fight against Makili Pietru!” Gale’s expression turned into an angry one & he yelled “SINCE WHEN YOU WERE HERE?!” Lilia said “Lol, we got him angry as fuck” Gale noticed her as well & yelled in shock “YOU TOO?!” Ratha & Lute were grinning, Lute said “i can be mean too” & Navirou who was also there apparently said “Bro, you got on Lute’s bad side lol!” Gale “OK!
