nuwanda - well i’ve never really had nicknames, just variations of my name since i’m a maria so i’ve been called mary or marie by some people. but my old nan who i grew up with would call me mary a lot, so everytime i think of that it just brings back a good memory of when she was with me ❤️

- one notebook (or two)

- at least two pencil cases, bursting with pens and pencils

- small stash of headache pills - aspirin, paracetamol, ibuprofen (not only I’m prone to headaches and migraines, but my students are frequently in need of painkillers – you know, period cramps, muscle pain…)

- reading glasses

- all kinds of pieces of paper that I keep waiting to find a paper recycling bin

- a tall pile of the books I’m reading, intend to read or cannot live without (it’s almost as tall as me and threatens to fall down at any moment...)
