Something something Decepticon recruitment (+physical exam) yada yada putting my Malay twins headcanon to good use and making names (and a non-typical matrilineal last name as opposed to a patrilineal last name) for them :P

Old fanfiction as well as echo chambering myself I have got some headcanons in my mind that do not make surface level sense but have Syakir and Darwesh bin Kalsom!

#skyquake #tfp skyquake #dreadwing #tfp dreadwing #transformers #tfp #humanformers #fanart #look look look- i used [western] sources for names because i'm in [english majority country] and maybe can't get a good list of names #especially not knowing whether they're authentic or not :P any malaysian folk in the chat do forgive me #eitherway- i did at least try to find what the sources claimed the origins of the names were #from my understanding syakir is the malay (and indonesian) form of arabic and urdu shakir (which means thankful but i that didn't matter)#darwesh is the hindi version of darwish which is an old persian but also malay name that i actively chose to make hindi #(because i wanted to hear how it was pronounced but since i didn't have the script version the only way i could hear it was the hindi way)#and kalsom for a character that only exists in my head is the malay and urdu form of the arabic kulthum meaning full-cheeked/beautiful #again- my outsider understanding of the names mostly as a way to kinda brute force the terms skyquake and dreadwing into malay forms #it was really funny looking for dreadwing's human name a lot of them that i could find ended up being versions of david haha #one of them was i think dawoud (which i think was muslim)#it did make me shudder that if dreadwing anglicized his name he'd be david so i hopped the train to darwish/darwesh #which is more technically darvesh give or take dialects so no wumbo here #which btw skyquake ends up being right about the callsigns- human dreadwing hates that his callsign is DREAD wing- skyquake loves his tho :

i imagine him as like a huge sphynx cat with a long snake like tail and prolly also a forked tongue and he looks very uncanny and not like a cat at all but everybody in the gang kinda just tolerates it cuz hes just like that

#ik the red teeth and eyes are doing the most lowkey but like i think they emphasize his weirdness and scariness #like i tried drawing him with a more natural color scheme for his eyes & teeth but the thing is that it didnt feel as striking and creepy-#-as him having completely red eyes and teeth. speaking of his teeth they point outward instead of inward to up the “that is NOT a cat” vibe #just wanted to make him creepy and scary in gen cuz thats the feeling he gives me whenever he shows up #judge holden #the judge #blood meridian #the evening redness in the west #blood meridian or the evening redness in the west #bon's art #hes a pretty cool villain his character just gives me major heebie jeebies #“all that exists without my knowledge exists without my consent” yada yada yada just put my fries in a bag so i can be on my merry way☠️

i just think that Wild should come back to the chain with a magic rock, I mean it's not like he would be the only one with a magic rock, Look at Twi's shadow crystal or Wind's walkie-talkie necklace, and what would we call all of Legends rings if not wearable magic rocks? The ocarina of time? MAGIC ROCK with some holes in it. You know what Hyrule's magic sword is made of? THAT'S RIGHT! MAGIC ROCKS

And guess what was left behind with no explanation in totk, that had a whole quest attached to it that stood in parallel with a bunch of other versions of the same scene where someone gets a magic rock? MINERU'S secret stone, SPIRIT SAGE LU WILD LETS GO

#too many projects but i wanna write a post-totk lu fic where Wild has no arm and a magic rock #and he's really trying his best to learn how to fight with his left arm but it's hard #but he refuses to give up and the other's kinda have to make him stop overworking himself #and it gets to the point where Wild doesn't know what he is except for a swordsman #at least he has a light dragon light bow that he can shoot with his teeth who's arrows just appear out of the air #but being the swordsman and the hero is such a major part of his identity #and hes having to be surrounded by more of the best swordsmen ever to exist and how does he deal with that #i want to give him spirit powers and have him struggle to control them and it's all in the view of the heroes #i just love giving characters new powers that are in fact powerful and forcing them to learn how to deal with them #its so fun #ramblin #lu wild #linked universe #linked universe wild

Me normally: Let people love what they love

Me, after a Test Match Special commentator expresses their belief that the new All Creatures Great and Small is somehow "better" than the 1978 version: This is pure insanity and TMS can no longer be trusted on anything, how can they even be trusted to know about cricket, do they have no TASTE

#Look it's fine that this show exists and people will watch it and like it and that's ok maybe it's just not for me #But that was like a statement purely designed to piss me off #There were lots of issues with the 1978 adaptation! I still vastly preferred the books any day!#And I actually initially had high hopes for the new one because they at least cast a Scot (albeit a Highlander not a Clydesider) as James #And the actors at least looked a little bit younger than Christopher Timothy and Robert Hardy #And thank god Helen actually sounds like she's a farmer's daughter and doesn't speak RP!#But from the half hour I've seen of it I've had to write off this new adaptation #For two major reasons #First of all there's Siegfried #Siegfried is one of the key central aspects of the vibe of the books and therefore key to any adaptation #Robert Hardy was too short and too old for the part but he lived and breathed the character #The twinkle in the eye bouncing off the walls and in and out of rooms followed by half a dozen dogs utterly full of life even when angry #But this new Siegfried is just sort of... Eeyore-esque; he comes into a room and you can see the flowers droop and the set turn grey #Siegfried was angry Siegfried was happy and the historical character he was based on was no stranger to melancholy #Since Donald Sinclair did commit suicide or rather self-euthanasia after Alf Wight and his own wife Audrey died #But this slow grumbly figure in the new adaptation is not Siegfried Farnon- the book character didn't grumble more often he exploded #And why did the adaptation give him a dead wife that's so weird? What could that possibly add to the source material?#And this brings me onto my second problem which is to do with women and age #Firstly I have no idea why they aged down Mrs Hall or at least made her look younger than a woman her age would have back then #But what really drove me mad was when Heriot goes out to see some old woman hill farmer in the episode I saw #And this woman is far too clean and young-looking and you can see that she's wearing 'natural' look make-up #And a perfect set of clothes that looked like they were straight out of the House of Bruar autumn collection catalogue #Say what you like about the 1978 adaptation but old women looked like old women regardless of whether or not they wore make-up #It may be that the better quality of television screens means that the 'natural look' shows up on screen more clearly than it would have #But natural look make-up was not really a thing in the 1930s and for old women Yorkshire hill farmers I doubt they'd have much on at all #They just don't seem to be capable of allowing people to look old and wrinkled and real or have bad teeth or unattractive clothes #And everything is far too tidy- everybody looks far too perfectly country and quaint #Anyway the moral of this story is of course that I always recommend reading the books because they're much better #than any tv adaptation; but if forced to choose at least the 1970s one felt real and yet didn't have to be grim either #Ok that's my rant over please do feel free to enjoy the show I just got annoyed because the opinion was expressed on TMS

#OFFING MYSELF WHY AM I SO STUPID OMG #at my chem recitation and there’s this guy i recognize from my success course last sem but i had the feeling he didn’t like me #it was just vibes you know what i mean #typing this from the bathroom rn there’s this girl sighing next to me ugh she knows what’s up oh nvm she’s shitting i gotta go #okay i’m out now so I SIT NEXT TO HIM BC I GOT ASSIGNED THERE #AND HE HANDS ME THE SIGN IN SHEET AND WE’RE ASSIGNING OURSELVES INTO TWO TEAMS #he wrote his name and i thought he hated me so i put my name in the other team. guess what i was supposed to do. not that #so we had to erase EVERYONE’S NAMES bc of ME and he was so nice about it 😭😭😭😭😭#i talk really quiet and he couldn’t hear me bc he’s hard of hearing so he leaned in and AGAHAHG HE LOOKS LIKE HAWKS IF HE WAS A SURFER #so then i sat there feeling sorry and frazzled the whole time #we’re in the same major and everything he said he’s great at bio but awful at chem and i’m the opposite #so now i have to do my makeup 3/4 days of the week bc i don’t have class on fridays #i love making good decisions and having reasonable priorities #and i have to get good at bio or i will be so embarrassed #i thought men didn’t exist in my major

#Giving time...#Still more time...#Wouldn't want to plague any previews #Maybe another filler. Just for some fun #Is this enough?#It certainly is now #Alright start:#I'm so bored. I am so incredibly; intrinsically; entirely bored. I have been taught the same thing for four years straight #'It's only four years!' that's literally a quarter of my lifetime right there. My formative years are being spent stressed and in a state /#/of constant self-loathing #I was watching a YT video and the phrase 'attention-starved STEM major' came up and I was like. Yea #What am I even working towards? The hope that my version of capitalist hell isn't as bad as everyone else's? I'm just so sick of not /#/having a stable future what with politics and normal working people becoming more and more oppressed #I don't want to work and that's not because I'm lazy. It's because my brain is recognising that there is no reward anymore #I used to have such a little spark in Yr7. I remember having things to say and wanting to share everything I've done #I still do that now; sure I do. I don't enjoy it though #I thought I liked drawing but I'm realising that all I really like is the attention. I COULD draw things I like drawing... but then I /#/ don't get attention which my mind then classifies as zero reward #I'm very tired of doing things for no credit; reward; or validation. This is becoming a theme #Then I wonder what I'm doing wrong. What part of the algorithm am I not hitting. Then I realise that I'm just not marketable in a way #God. I'm seriously breaking rn. It's not even only because of GCSEs #It's just a culmination of doing all these things to be told that I am unworthy of Having as a result. It doesn't matter if I'm smart; my /#/ parents still don't own their house and can't afford to pay for heating most days #Literally what am I doing this for #And then I realise that all of this is ALSO attention-seeking behaviour! I'm my own worst problem; I recognise exactly what's wrong with /#/ myself but the body wants what it wants. And what it wants is validation that I'm not going to get in this life #Hi guys!
