ough catch me crying bc we did an informal autism assessment in counselling today

im super late to the party but honestly from what ive seen twisted wonderland is a better disney love letter than wish could have ever dreamed to be

#remember to keep boycotting disney you know the drill #i did not watch this movie i was watching reviews online and ive literally never given twst money other than i bought the manga #oh and i own a kalim nendoroid but i got that second hand #anyway twst has always felt like a big love letter to og disney despite its standing 'what if all the disney villains were hot anime boys'#but it really is it incorporates a lot of elements of those movies tastefully and does a good job making the villains sympathetic #but also traditionally mean #which is what wish was trying to do with magnifico make him traditional but sympathetic and like twst has already shown u can do both #of course in a more high stakes senario cuz twst is set in school with teens but if you extrapolated that then ur golden #also all the songs that have come out of twst have been bangers just saying #i think it was also a good play to position itself as AFTER the stories #cuz it rids itself of timeline issues #twst has a lot of wonky representation (why is jack in this game at all? sebek's base is just lightning)#and some of the designs could have been improved had they not had to be ikemens (fat kalim) but what its done its great disney wise #wish is souless but twst got people excited about fucking fellow honest(honest john) in 2023 now thats power #twisted wonderland #twst

wild to me how the english translation of natsume is just. largely out of print i guess?? like half of the volumes you can't get ANYWHERE for love nor money, not even on amazon (unhallowed be its name)! i've found like five sites that sell print volumes and they've all got the same selection (vols 1, 2, 17, 19, 27-29, sometimes 24-26) and if you want any others you are SOL. though what's interesting is i'm pretty sure last time i looked it up a few months ago, you couldn't get volume 17 anywhere either. did they do a print run just of that volume?? total mystery.

#and then amazon does have a handful of volumes you can't get anywhere else (used) but they're selling for $40 to HUNDREDS #OF DOLLARS??? the volume with yorishima's intro is going for $251 😭#i went so far as to look up the french translation and of course THEY are all in print and selling for 8 euros. i'll be real. i am tempted #it's nice that i can read volumes online but i really want to read them in bed before i fall asleep and i just cannot do that w e-versions #i guess i'll just check back in every few months to see if they've decided to go back and reprint any old volumes idk #and probably go back to checking them all out at the library. but the thing is the urge strikes me suddenly and i want to read them #immediately #this is such a non-problem i'm just. surprised i guess? i understand this isn't a hugely in demand series but it is #still running...and they're making a new season of the anime...idk idk i just expected it to be more accessible #take my money viz media!!!#natsume's book of friends #natsume yuujinchou

i hated airpods & phones with those big fugly cameras in the back when they were announced as a concept & i hate them even more each time i see that hideousness in person

#i remember when i was 11 ( sorry for being a zoomer ) getting into an argument with an online acquaintance #over airpods because i thought they were retarded but she thought they were cool as if bluetooth ear pieces were a new invention #remember how the world used to make fun of them not even that many years prior. she was like nooobut you can hide them for cheating #& against thievery ( OK the only fair point I GUESS ) but they are just so ugly to me & stupid not practical too easily lost & damaged #especially with that pricetag like they could have made something COOL or Kawaii but of course sleek Nothing design is “in”#still after a decade now ♯MAKEITSTOP #honestly only like bluetooth for file sharing when necessary anything else is devilwork #as for the new giant multiple cameras design i mean use your eyes has there ever been an uglier decision #even if i had money i could never own a touch screen phone without a middle button & a normal camera lense in the back #like just looking at them makes me angry BUT mostly apple products i think android ones are less hives inducing #but TBH i have no headphone jack so... on my old broken phone i did but not this one -_- where are my principles......#well i will wear this one down until it dies i already have a cracked arse screen so until it breaks i will downgrade #also remember how cute silicone phone cases were in the early to mid 2010s ♯BringThatBack #honestly can you even i think phones today are just too damn big Not mine Doe 🦌 mine is almost perfectly sized for my hands (iphone7)#at least people have more charms than ever in my city at least i see people with cute lanyards & zoomer style JesusBeaters so great ^_^#sorry for complaining all the time but also if you are not here for my Kvetching then what else could you be here for...#*jumps into a well from shame*

We are just now realizing that still being on the short list of kitten fosterers means that we're going to be having to handle weaning five 3-4 week old kittens that need to be fed every few hours while also having university four to six hours a day and honestly, that's not going to be very fun. We'd say "maybe we should have taken on less art challenges this year" but honestly we've been having a great time with the art challenges it's just the 4-6 hours of school that's been rapidly eroding our soul

#we speak #one of them is still feral enough to hiss at us and we've already been overlapping Older Kitten Socialization with our other junk #god. you don't realize how much free time you have until you lose it we guess. this is why we've been unemployed for the past 4 years #...outside of the disability we mean #god. how did we survive this the first time. every time we attend any educational institution we gain so much sympathy for kids and teens #imagine having to go through this shit for eight hours a day AND no one respects your autonomy so you can't even leave #AND a bunch of places have bullshit laws that makes it a legitimate crime for you to not be trapped in a tiny box like this #for eight hours a day #man. yknow sometimes we see kids online being dumb or uneducated or whatever and think that theyre cunts #but then we remember how much of a blatant human rights violation a lot of school is and we're like. man.#sure it would help if any of them actually looked shit up but honestly children are failed by the school system to a massive extent #and it's a miracle that we made it out of our own school experience with as much willingness to learn as we did #because it's genuinely fun to acquire new skills and knowledge and the current school system is set up in such a way #that it literally creates a pathological avoidance to the things and environments that are taught in it #like man we loved math as a kid and then school crushed that out of us with a burning passion #and now we flounder with budgeting. both because of the need to use every single piece of everything and not Waste things from upbringing #and because trying to sit down and actually legitimately budget things is irreversibly associated with math from school #which has of course contributed to our current poor money habits where if we spend money on anything it has to Last #and if it can't Last then it haunts us for the next fifteen years #children should be allowed more leeway online not only because they are still learning how existing Works #but because everyone and their dog is determined to make it impossible for them to pick what they want to do with their bodies and lives #honestly we think it contributes to this current puritanism thing. need permission to do anything. need an authority #these kids arent ever given the chance to be themselves without being told what to do. no wonder they flounder without an authority figure
