yes college sucks and i am constantly worried about submitting homework and the system of academia under capitalism is inherently flawed but at least its cool enough outside to wear my cozy jackets and my long ass scarf and i get to take my tasty drink with me to have a nice time doing math practice with my cousin on campus and i can say hi to people i know and i have my thrifted leather briefcase full of resume and laptop and notebook and coupons and playing cards and extra spoon and pocket knife and broken keychains and i can listen to whatever music i want on my earbuds and in the car on my drive home.

so its not all bad.

Also voting is scary sometimes! GO WITH FRIENDS! Make a hang-out of it! CALL your shy friend who doesn't like to leave the house, call your friend who can't drive or is far from the polling place, make a silly day of it! Afterwords go buy a treat or play a game. It's not so scary or such a mental burden if you have a reward in mind.

No friends in your area? Ok! Play Tamagatchi! Get them on a Discord call in your headphones. That'll get you right up to the doors of the voting location. End the call. Vote. Leave the building. Call them again, and play games! Give yourself treats!

Voting is important! You want to have people ask next week, "You did vote, right?" And you have to go, "No :( I was putting off the inevitable because I don't know how to and it was intimidating."

Relatable. But for Fuck's Sake this is the Biggest Reason I have seen to Give Yourself a Little Treat. HELL, a BIG Treat.

Friendly reminder that almost half of the states in the U.S. have same day registration! This means you can go to the polling center for your location, register there, and cast your vote same day. So if you are over 18, are a U.S. citizen, and live in one of the states listed below, it is not too late to register and vote!
