You stood in front of the mirror, staring at yourself after waking up from a post-cry nap. Your eyelids were very puffy and your lips chapped despite being slightly swollen. The eyes that were once filled with life were like empty pits, holding no emotion.

It had been a few days since you've retrieved your items from Mizu's apartment. Thankfully, your friend had a spare room in hers and allowed you to stay for a few months until you were ready to be on your own again. If it weren't for your friends, you'd probably have a hell of a time trying to recover from your break up.

Well, you were still struggling but at least it's a start.

That wasn't to say that the moving out process was any easier though. Seeing Mizu's frown when she opened the door made you want to pull her down and kiss her until the corners of her lips turned upward. But you couldn't, your relationship wasn't like before anymore.

Her eyes watched you as you carefully removed the trinkets you had placed on her shelf. The little neon characters and toy babies were now in a cardboard box as if the two of you didn't joke around about them being your 'babies'. Your clothes were already in separate box. The goofy t-shirts she had given you as a way to make you laugh were taped shut.

"Are you really going to take everything home?" she sighed out, crossing her arms and leaning against the wall. The frown on her face never left and her eyes remained as aloof as ever.

You glanced at her briefly before turning your attention back to her shelf. Fingers running across the wood, past her jewelry box, trying to remember if you had left anything else. "Don't talk to me."

Mizu rolled her eyes at your cold response. It was understandable, but that doesn't mean it didn't annoy or hurt her in any way. She pushed herself off of the wall lightly before walking off to the kitchen. The feeling of you being this cold was not something she could bear at the moment.

As she left, your fingers traced back to her jewelry box and opened it. The earrings, rings, and necklaces you always wore were still there. Your throat tightened at the sight, remembering how you had bantered with Mizu for being so 'unfashionable'.

Before you, she had only worn plain silver bands around her fingers, saying that 'she didn't need anymore than that' and 'they're just rings, no need to be special'. But of course, you knew her long, slender, yet rough hands were too beautiful for the bare minimum.

It took a while to convince her, mainly because she secretly liked seeing you try so hard for her, but you finally got her to try out your rings. The feeling of having more accessories on her hand was odd to her and there were definitely times the accessories got snagged on her hair, clothes, and other things. However, the feeling of having a bit of you with her comforted her. It was adorable honestly. You even ended up leaving the rings she often borrowed from in her jewelry box.

And now, you were staring at the same rings placed snugly in the velvet-y confines of the jewelry box. A sigh escaped your lips as you took your earrings and necklaces back, but for some reason, you really couldn't bring yourself to take your rings back. A small tug in your heart felt that maybe she'd wear them and remember you.

"It is what it is," you mumbled, trudging back to your room. Your room looked like a shit storm. Clothes were strewn haphazardly across the floor, the trinkets you once displayed on Mizu's shelf were now scattered on random surfaces, and the books you bought but never read were...well they were still rotting on a random corner.

As you were about to lay down, your friend knocked on your door before opening it. The sight of you merely rotting in bed made her eyebrows furrow but it quickly disappeared as she walked in. "Want to drink somewhere?" She leaned sideways against the wall, cross her leg over the other.

You were about to refuse but the image of your exhausted self and the aching loneliness bothered your mind. Nodding at her, you stood up again. As if silently communicating with you, she gave you a relieved smile before leaving the room to give you some space to get ready.

Once the two of you had arrived to the club, you immediately sat down, waiting for your drinks to arrive. The music was blaring through the speakers and the smell of sweat, alcohol, and the mix of people's perfume lingered around. You were usually up for some partying but the ache of your heartbreak drained you this time around.

As your drinks arrived, you poured yourself a shot, not even bothering to wait for your friend. She was probably already dancing with someone somewhere. Your eyes scanned the crowd, people-watching as you downed the shot, the burn of the alcohol making you cough a bit.

Some how, it was peaceful for you despite the dancing, hollering, and even the strangers making out with who ever. Even your friend's return to the table, clearly having stolen a bottle of beer from another table, didn't bother you. Maybe you were finally attaining peace for the first time in a while. Maybe all you really needed was some alcohol to forget about Mi—

"Hey, isn't that Akemi?" Your friend asked, pointing at the sofa near the center.

You almost spit your second shot out, the alcohol almost traveling to your nose, making you retch over as you coughed in attempt to get the liquid back to your mouth again. Your watery eyes scanned over the crowd once again until you finally saw her. It really was Akemi. If she was here, Mizu was bound to be here too, right?

Panic with a bit of anticipation settled in you as your eyes tried to find your ex.

No. She wasn't here.

A sigh of disappointment escaped your lips upon sitting down.

Wait. Disappointment?

The hell?

"I-I'm going to dance for a moment," you told your friend. There was no way you're disappointed in Mizu's absence. You were going to find another way to move on.

As you made your way through the crowd, dancing and mingling with others while you sipped on your beer, a woman approached you and began flirting. The interaction made you feel awkward at first. A mix of panic, intoxication from the alcohol, and slight flattery was boiling inside you.

The woman flirting with you invited you to their table, to which you agreed. She introduced her friends to you, sharing drinks and stories. Some time later as you were interacting with them, she had slung an arm around you and pulled you close. It wasn't a touch that you were particularly comfortable with, but another shot with a Heineken as a chaser fixed that.

While you continued to interact with them, you noticed the lady's eyes staring at someone through the crowd. "His rings look expensive," she told you, pointing towards someone. Your eyes looked at where she was pointing at and widened.

They looked so happy and your ex looks like she had moved on. You continued to stare, not believing the sight, until your eyes met. You quickly sat back down, trying to calm yourself down.

Your vision was blurring either from the tears or from the alcohol or maybe both. The music ringing in your head as it continued to boom throughout the venue.

The lady you were with looked at you with concern before leaning closer to your ear. "Let's take this somewhere else," she whispered, giving you a smile. You nodded and stood up with her, making your way outside onto an alley beside the establishment.

The lady watched as you took out a cigarette, placing it between your lips before you began rummaging through your bag for a lighter. "You don't seem like the type to smoke," she joked in an attempt to ease your mood.

She was right. You weren't the type to smoke. In fact, you only started after your break up. The same night, you bought a carton of Marlboro Blue because you saw Mizu smoking it when she was still just your hallway crush. The image of her leaning against her motor bike, smoking while smiling lightly at the sight of her friends bantering was one that never left your mind.

"I learned from someone." You lit the cigarette with the lighter you had found in your purse before inspecting it. Your eyes widened as you realized that it was Mizu's lighter, making you choke on the smoke.

"It's him, right? The tall dude with the nice rings? The one with the blue eyes." The lady patted your back as you continued to cough, frowning when you nodded. She watched you smoke for a moment before moving closer towards you.

Your eyes looked...Bothered. Like you wanted to go back in there and thrash the table, to ask Mizu who the fuck she was with.

The turmoil in you continued to brew, rising and rising until it was almost overflowing. The image of Mizu with another woman burned into your memory. You wanted to storm in, to make a mess, to ask her how was she able to move on so fast while you...

You were still collecting the pieces of yourself that had fallen apart.

Your eyes widened in surprise. You expected her to be with Akemi, but you didn't expect her to come just because Akemi told her you were here. "And that matters why?" you asked, eyes now narrowing.

She sighed and moved away a bit, more of the guilt appearing on her face. "I wanted to see you."

The beating of your heart increased as you looked at her. She wanted to see you? Why? You dropped the cigarette you were smoking before stepping on it, grinding the heel of your foot on it more than you needed before looking up at her. "You're joking," you said in a serious tone, looking intensely at her.

"I'm not I–" She was quickly cut off with you giving her a shove. "I saw you with that woman. I'm not stupid, Mizu."

She looked at you for a moment, clearly puzzled which made the rage in you boil much more. "The woman you were with. The one play with your rings. My rings." You clenched fist as you shoved her once more, glaring at her.

Your eyes started tearing up and you began smacking her arm, a mix of your emotions and alcohol making you lose all inhibitions. "You have no idea how much pain I've been in because of you! All I wanted was for you to be there for me and you fucking left me!" she yelled, your careless smacking progressively getting more forceful.

"Then, when I'm finally trying to find some fucking peace for myself, you waltz in with some woman and act all chummy chummy buddy buddy in front of me?! And now you expect me to fucking talk to you and welcome you back?! I'm not a fucking idiot, you motherfucking bi–" She cut you off by placing you in a loose headlock and shoving a hand over your mouth, glaring at you.

"You mean Kaji's daughter," she stated calmly, letting you go once you stopped thrashing around, clearly confused. "Oh for fuck's sake–Akemi's friend. She asked me to pick her up as payment for telling me where you are." she groaned, rubbing an annoyed hand across her face.

Her arms gently wrapped around you, pulling you closer as she buried her nose against your hair. "I miss you," she mumbled, closing her eyes. You couldn't help but freeze before finally softening up and sobbing, leaning closer to her. "Why'd you leave me?" you sobbed softly against her shoulder.

Her throat tightened at the sound of your crying and sniffling. Making you cry was the last thing ever wanted to do. "I was wrong. I thought we both needed a break from each other but I...I ended up missing you," she sighed out, holding you tighter. "I guess I took you for granted and I'm regretting it so much. I'll do anything to get you back." A hand wiped your tears away before lifting your chin up. "I'm sorry.."

You looked at her, gulping the lump in your throat. The apology was so silly to you. Mizu apologizing to you in such a horribly put together yet sincere way was not something you expected to see and it amused you. You stared at the boys in front of you, trying to wrap your head around the story they just told. Mostly you were confused at how Jin Ling happened to be the victim since the boy was usually the one to not get injured. Nonetheless, you quickly told them to sit down before grabbing everything.

"Alright. Sizhui, hold this on his arm and put a lot of pressure on it. I have to get some herbs first, I'll be back in a few minutes." You said as you handed the towel to Sizhui before walking out of the room.

You looked through your stash, not much further from your practice and got the necessary herbs before walking back too your practice, only to be stopped halfway by Xichen, Mingjue and Jiang Cheng.

"Clan leaders." You bowed your head at them and Xichen gave you a warm smile.

"This is (y/n), she's our most skilled healer." He explained to the other two, who nodded in response.

"I apologize, but I have to goo back to my practice. Jin Ling got hurt." You said, the last part a bit more to Jiang Cheng. Jiang Cheng didn't seem to react at first, but it seemed to hit him afterwards at what you said.

"Jin Ling got hurt?" "Yes, I don't remember the whole story though. Something happened with a sword and a cliff, I couldn't follow well." You explained before quickly bowing and running off.

You entered your practice again, staring at the boys who were eating snacks.

"You stole my food stock..." You mumbled and Jingyi smiled happily.

"You're lucky I like you guys." You commented to which they all smiled brightly (except for Jin Ling, who was still in pain of course). You stepped closer to Jin Ling and crouched in front of him as you started to inspect and treat the wound quickly.

"Will it scar?" Jingyi asked and you nodded shortly as you continued to wrap the bandage around his arm.

"Definitely. You should start making up a story to tell to others." You joked as you looked up to Jin Ling.

"How about a wolf instead?" You commented as you started to wash your hands in the bowl of water while listening to Jingyi whine. You could hear Jin Ling cuss at Jingyi while Zizhen just laughed and you saw Sizhui shake his head with a smile.

"Don't come back here too often." You said with a smile as you put everything away again.

"Now, out." You said with a smile, pointing at the door. They all quickly ran out, Jingyi managing to grab some food before leaving.

Despite that, they somehow managed to land in your practice every week. It was mostly Jin Ling who got hurt and you learned that Jin Ling was extremely unlucky and unhandy. A combination that usually doesn't go well. You spend way more time with the junior quartet, because they also came by just to hide from lessons or just to get some snacks (which you now bought double from what you usually bought).

Having Jin Ling in your practice constantly also meant that Jiang Cheng came over more often, usually to bring Jin Ling home/to his room since Jin Ling always fell asleep at the practice. Sometimes, he stayed a bit longer and you got to talk to him a bit more.

You then, of course, started to develop a crush on the man.

You were sure that it was obvious, the snickering of Jingyi said enough. Even Sizhui couldn't help but smile every time Jingyi was snickering while Zizhen tried to make them quiet down.

But of course, the visits didn't stop. Jin Ling was back again every week, joined by his friends of course. But this week was the worst.

Jin Ling was laying on the bed, leg propped up as you tried to stop the bleeding while trying to talk to Sizhui about what had happened.

"We were practicing and the sword broke." Sizhui explained and you turned your head while holding pressure on the leg.

"You got a sword in his leg?" You asked and Sizhui nodded before you turned back to Jin Ling.

"Ever heard of practice sword? You know, the wooden one." You said and he looked away in shame, not answering the sarcastic remark. You started to remove the pressure before getting a needle.

"Sizhui, go get his uncle." You said as you started to stitch the wound, after putting a cloth in Jin Ling's mouth so he wouldn't break his teeth. It took awhile and Jin Ling had passed out from the pain earlier, you couldn't blame the poor boy. Jiang Cheng arrived just as you finished the stitching, eyes cast on the cut as well as all the blood on your hands.

"Good, you're here." You said as you got up, cleaning your hands once more in the basin of water, which had already turned red. Once your hands were clean, you took bandages from the table and started to wrap it around his leg.

"He won't be able to walk for awhile, so please make sure he doesn't. I know how stubborn your family can get. He'll also need to take certain medicines every 2 hours or so for 3 to 4 days." You said before glancing at Jiang Cheng, who was still staring at his nephew and you could spot worry in his eyes.

"He's fine, don't worry too much. You're free to stay until he wakes up." You got up again when you finished wrapping Jin Ling's leg and Jiang Cheng sat down near the bed, eyes now cast towards the broken sword pieces that you had pulled out of the wound.

"What happened?" "The sword broke and hit his leg. These boys don't seem to know the consequences of practicing with actual swords." You replied with a chuckle as you grabbed some tea, offering a cup to Jiang Cheng who gratefully accepted it.

"Is getting hurt also something that runs in your family?" You asked and he looked up, shrugging softly.

"I mean, you got hurt pretty often as well. My teacher healed you quite often." You joked and you could see the wheels turning in his head before it seemed to click.

"You were that girl always watching from the side?" He asked and you nodded, smiling brightly at the thought that he remembered you. You continued to talk and for the first time, he actually tried to hold up the conversation as well.

From then on, everything seemed to take a turn.

Jiang Cheng would greet you if he saw you and sometimes he would converse in conversation , but those conversations weren't very long most of the time. Sometimes his friends (especially Huaisang and Wuxian) were with him and they often gave you a smile, but you could see the twinkle in their eyes. Sometimes the other leaders were with him, Xichen and Guangyao often gave you a sweet smiles, and you couldn't help but feel a bit uneasy every time. Even their smile seemed to hide a certain mischief. You were well aware that they all knew by now, after all Wangji's blunt comments about 'you staring at Jiang Cheng like a puppy in love' (and Wuxian and Huaisang's snickering after said comment) usually did the trick.

Now, they would always approach you while dragging Jiang Cheng behind them. They would start a conversation, trying to get Jiang Cheng to join the conversation at all cost while trying to not make it obvious (and failing miserably in your opinion). Jiang Cheng didn't seem to notice however and just curtly answered the questions thrown his way. He didn't seem particularly happy when he was near you, frown permanently shown on his face as he stood near you as he waited to leave the conversation. It was something you were quite annoyed by. Not because of him, but rather the fact that he was forced to meet you by his friends. So you asked them to stop and they did, much to their annoyance.

But you did see him a few more times again, mostly for Jin Ling's checkups. He'd just sit in the corner, staring as you cleaned his nephew's wound.

"A-jiě?" Jin Ling spoke in a whisper and you glanced up to him, giving him a small nod.

"What is it?" You whispered back and he glanced at his uncle before getting a bit closer to you.

"Uncle is staring at you..." "Don't be ridiculous A-Ling." You said, flicking his forehead softly with a disapproving chuckle before continuing to clean his wound. The boy couldn't help but smile a bit, something you couldn't help but smile in return to. Seeing the boy smile was still something new and it didn't happen that often, so you were always happy when you did see him smile.

"I'm sure about it, a-jiě. He has that look in his eyes." Jin Ling said and you looked up again, hands freezing in place before you took a glance at Jiang Cheng as well. His gaze was focused to the two of you, but you suddenly did notice his eyes shifting to you every few seconds as they lingered on your form.

"Well, a-Ling. You might be right for once." You commented, a small smirk appearing on your face to which Jin Ling smiled again.

When you finished cleaning and rebandaging Jin Ling's leg, you asked Jiang Cheng to wait for a second while Jin Ling limped out.

"You know, Jin Ling told me something." You said and he looked at you in confusion, waiting for you to continue.

"He said you were staring at me. I don't think so.... Unless you were?" You teased, eyes moving to his figure and smiling slightly when you noticed how his ears had turned red slightly as he stared in front of him.

"I'll see you later, I have to collect some stuff." You said before walking off, leaving the man standing in front of your practice.

You didn't see him for a few days after that and you couldn't help but feel a bit weird about it. Nonetheless, you continued with your routines. Taking care of some of the younger disciplines, clean your practice and getting ready to have your practice raided by the junior quartet. The food that you had gotten was gone by the end, most of it by Jingyi, and that was even after you bought extra.

"I just went to the market and you already ate all of it?" You asked as you looked in the cabinet and Jingyi gave a cheeky smile as he ate the last candy, happily eating it.

"A-jiě, when are you and clan leader Jiang getting together?" He then asked, receiving a shove from Jin Ling before looking at Sizhui for help as he tried to block Jin Ling's attacks.

"A-Ling!" The boys paused and you sighed.

"If you're going to hit him, do it where no one sees." You commented and you saw betrayal flash in Jingyi's eyes while Jin Ling just smirked before he started pocking the elder in the ribs. You just shook your head at the two before continuing your stitching on Jin Ling's robe. Then you could suddenly hear shouting and frowned, laying down your work and peaking your head out of the door. You could see Wuxian walking around, Jiang Cheng hot on his heels with an annoyed look. You were then pulled back by Jin Ling.

"Don't tell them we're here..." He begged and you looked at them, all a bit afraid of the consequences of sneaking out, and you scoffed with a smile before nodding and walking out of the practice.

"What's wrong with you two?" You asked as you looked at both men, but only Wuxian stared your way.

"Have you seen Sizhui? Or the others?" He asked and you could hear he was quite concerned.

"Why, what happened?" You returned and Jiang Cheng stepped forward.

"Some disciplines say that they saw them being dragged off and Wuxian is paranoid." He said, receiving a glare from the other (which Jiang Cheng gladly returned).

"I'm sure they're fine, a-Xian." You said and he huffed.

"You two should get married, makes bullying me much easier." He grumbled and you rolled your eyes with a laugh while Jiang Cheng just rolled his eyes.

"Very funny. You're just not thinking rationally. We both just acknowledge that." Jiang Cheng said and Wuxian just huffed again.

"You two fit each other." And then he just walked off, leaving you and Jiang Cheng alone. You looked at him and found him already looking your way, ears red once more.

"Don't be too hard on him, he's just worried." You said and Jiang Cheng nodded shortly.

"Are you not?" "Jin Ling can defend himself, he'll be fine." He answered curtly and you flicked his head harshly, making the man flinch before looking at you in shock.

"That's your nephew, at least act like you care." You commented angrily before walking back to your practice, seeing 4 pair of eyes stare at you intently.

"What?" You asked and Jin Ling spoke up first.

"You and uncle sound like a married couple..." He said and you felt your face heat up at the comment. But then you saw the terror in their eyes and turned your head, Jiang Cheng standing in the doorway with a stoic expression.

"We'll be on our way then..." Sizhui commented before dragging the other 3 with him and past Jiang Cheng quickly before they all broke into a sprint.

"Bye, auntie." Jin Ling shouted and you saw Jiang Cheng frown as he watched his nephew run out with a smile before he turned back to you.

"You lied about seeing them." "I never said whether I saw them or not nor did anyone give me the chance to say it." You said as you sat down, grabbing Jin Ling's robe up again.

"Is that Jin Ling's?" "Yes, it is. He tripped again and it ripped, so I'm stitching it. You should buy him some new clothes, some have over 20 stitch-spots. I'm losing all my thread on these, I'm tempted to use a different color to make it noticeable." You joked and Jiang Cheng rolled his eyes again, grumbling something under his breath.

"What are you grumbling about? Asking yourself how you'd fallen for me?" You teased, watching his ears turn red again and you smiled again while looking back at the stitching. You looked up when he stayed quiet, seeing that the blush had reached his face and you frowned.

"You alright there?" You asked and he snapped out his trance and nodded coldly before he turned to leave.

"You're leaving?" You asked and he turned his head around to face you. "I mean, it's pretty boring here and you chased my previous company away before I could finish..." You said and you saw him sigh again before he sat on a chair a bit further from you. Even with his annoyed expression, you couldn't help but smile that he took your joke serious enough to stay. You continued your work, glancing at him ever so often as you tried to talk to him (not to much avail). You stopped, however, when you noticed that his eyes were closed and his head was falling down ever so often before he straightened himself up. You smiled and stood up, walking his way and crouching down before gently poking his shoulder. He woke up in and instant and you flinched with his sudden movement, surprised at how close his face was to yours now.

"You should go to your room to sleep, otherwise your neck will hurt." You said as you stood up again, pulling him up with you. It was clear that he was still somewhat sleepy, eyes almost threatening to fall shut again.

"Come one, get out." You laughed and he finally looked awake at the statement, blinking a few times before looking at you.

"I apologize-" "Ah, stop it. I invited you in, no need to be so formal." You interrupted him, which startled him slightly before he simply shut his mouth.

"Feel free to drop by again." You said and he nodded, but you stopped him just before he left.

"And I don't mean with Jin Ling."

God forbid you guys are sitting NEXT to each other, he’s going to make your life a living hell. He’s less likely to do it when you two are sitting together, actually, cause he has less self control and will probably end up wheezing too. At least from across the room he can hide his amusement and the most emotion that comes through is his stupid little smirk. But honestly like. He is the absolute worst.

Because okay. Like, rintaro knows when it’s not time to fuck around because it’s serious (which is like. 0.003% of the time you’re together, other times you’ll just swat the shit out of him-) but he considers any other time free game, because he can see the way your shoulders tense, or the way you gnaw at your lip, or dig at your cuticles, and he hates to see you like that.

So. Like any other menace, he sends the worst kinds of things at the worst kind of times.

One time, you were out with some friends who were just kind of like, not engaging with you, so when you texted Rin to tell him you were bored, he immediately sends this tiktok, and it has you choking on your drink.

A few weeks ago, his family was having a little get together, and despite having been together for years, you still sometimes get a little shaky around his family, so, naturally, as you’re talking to his aunts and mother, he sends you this meme, and it makes you snort aloud.

It has his poor aunts chuckling awkwardly, and you scowl because you know damn well in the hammock seat three yards away, some dickhead with a middle part is snickering victoriously.

Even yesterday, when you were getting ready to leave, you slipped and fell on your ass, and a few hours later, you got this tiktok sent to you, and it had you tearing up to hide your laughter at work.

And it’s like. Healthy, because once you start firing back at him, the two of you going out just becomes an absolute mess of laughter and wheezing and the occasional annoyed look but tf they looking at, they’re just jealous-

This tiktok in particular almost got you kicked out of a restaurant from a few noise complaints, mainly from his snorts.

And even if it’s not always appreciated, it’s always from a good place. And that’s what makes it special; be it something dumb like fart noises, or cat pictures, it’s always something he knows is going to make you lose your mind in the best way he thinks you need it.

Of course it is best to see him nudging for your attention when you pretend to be mad about it.

“I know you laughed,” he whined, tugging at your shirt. “Come onnnnn, we got yelled at together!”

“It was embarrassing,” you grumble.

“You’re already dating me, how much more embarrassing could you think this gets?”

That, to your dismay, gives him another snort, and now that he knows you’re not actually upset, he leans over to nuzzle his head against your cheeks and neck, “you can’t resist me and you know it.”

“I hate you so much,” you scoff, trying to shrink your shoulders to get his face away, “and fuck off with the ears and neck shit!”

“I thought you liked when I whispered in your ear,” he teases, despite knowing you, in fact, have extremely mixed feelings about said action.

And sure, when you shove him off the bed to get away from him and it sparks a whole new round of play fighting, both of you know it’ll end with your head on his chest, his slender fingers gently rubbing up and down your back while his other hand shows you the knew chaos on his for you page.

It’s a cycle at this point.

And you’re fairly sure it’s not one he’s looking to break anytime soon 🥺💖

The TFP Autobots Comforting You After the Loss of a Family Member

Note: This ones a bit personal bc my grandma just passed away. This is how i'm coping lol and i hope this brings anyone else in the same situation some comfort <3

Optimus:

He understands loss more than anyone

Honestly all the autobots do, they lost family, friends, their culture, their home, etc.

Optimus knows everyone grieves differently, so he doesn't push you to talk about it

When he finds out/you tell him, he'll say "I'm deeply sorry for your loss (insert name)" and nothing more, unless you want to talk about it

Then of course he's there to listen

I feel like he would be the best person to vent to in this situation, and he would love to hear all about the memories you made with the person you're grieving

Overall he's very gentle with the subject and knows almost exactly what to do

Ratchet:

He's definitely up there when it comes to experiencing loss

Ratchet's a medic, so he's dealt with losing people and handling the reactions of people who have lost people

I'd say he'd be pretty similar to Optimus in this situation

Won't push you to say anything, but is always there if you need him

Checks up on you more often, not in a constant, overwhelming way of course, but in a "subtly makes sure you've eaten, slept, and drank water" way

If you DO want to talk, he's there.

He was working on the computer? Not anymore, his attention is on you

Ratchet isn't as good with words, but he lets you know he's listening by nodding

When you're feeling a bit better, he'd try to make you laugh by repeating some random joke he heard from Raf or Miko, but fails so miserably at making it funny that its actually funny

Once you tell him, he gets noticeably sad, even if you don't express being sad at the moment

Completely understands if you don't wanna talk about it and offers to take you on a drive for a distraction

When you do end up talking about whoever passed, he'll listen and probably ask some questions about them

He's curious about how much this person meant to you and wants to be there for you no matter what

Bee's probably curious abt how human funerals work and things like that, and you explain to him that it depends on the culture and family

Bulkhead:

Arguably the sweetest bot

Isn't entirely sure how to handle it at first, but he knows he hates seeing you upset

So he asks about hobbies you like and helps you/is with you while you work on those

He's always bringing up stuff that you like (playing music you like, telling stories you like, etc)

And just like the other bots, he's there to listen if you want to talk

I'd say bulkhead's more on the listening side, he'll occasionally say a comforting phrase, but mostly just nods along

Similar to 'Bee, he'll be curious about how humans handle this sort of situation too

She'll try not to overstep any boundaries, but definitely pushes you to talk about it, at least a little

She knows what its like to keep feelings bottled up

Your faux blond boyfriend hops into the passenger seat of your car. For the first time in a while he doesn't have practice. Being on a division one team makes dates with Atsumu limited. None the less you were still happy to see him. You've already set up your phone camera for the prank you are about to play on him. It's your revenge for when he ditched your date to get drinks with his team. He's all giddy and smiley as he buckles his seat belt. "Hi, my love." You almost didn't want to go through with it. He's like a golden retriever puppy.

"Hey, 'Tsumu." You smile back at him. He leans in for a kiss and you back away immediately. There's confusion written on his face and you try your best not to laugh. "God, did you even brush? That breath is terrible." You say in pure disgust, you should be a paid actor.

He frowns and cups a hand to his mouth to smell his breath. "What are you talking about? My breath is fine!" He says pouting. "Atsumu Miya, your breath smells rancid." You cross your arms and raise an eyebrow. He continues to pout. "Be right back, I'll go brush again."

He opens the car door and you burst into laughter. He swings his head back around so fast that it could give him whiplash. "What?" He asks still pouting. "Tsumu, I was kidding baby. Your breath is fine. I was getting you back because you ditched me to get drinks with your team." He stood there, dumbfounded at the words you just said. "Oh.." He hops back into the car and shuts the door. "Can I kiss you now?" He asks.

Bokuto

You're in bed, mainly because Kotaro drained all your energy last night. Why did you decide to marry a pro athlete? Anyway, the sun is peaking through your window and Kotaro isn't in bed anymore. His warmth was no longer with you since he's gotten out of bed. You weren't even sure what he was doing but a thought popped into your head.

What if you tell him his breath smells? His reaction will be priceless. Your bedroom door is slammed open and your husband's voice echoes the room, "Hey, hey, hey! Morning, Sleepy-head!" You sit up to see he's got a plate full of breakfast for you. "Aww thank you, Ko." He beams at your response and hands you the food. He sits next to you and starts talking about some random thing his co-worker's (Barnes) toddler has been up to.

"Jeez, baby. Your breath stinks." His eyes widen and he meets your gaze. "Really?!" He rushes to the bathroom and you hear the sink start up. Two minutes later he's back and he gives you a view of his smile with all his teeth. "Better?" He asks you. He sits on the bed. "It was a prank! Your breath was fine." You giggle at him. "Really? Oh! Well now my breath smells extra good." You shake your head laughing. "You're something else."

Nishinoya

Noya's away traveling while you're still in the country. He calls and facetimes you every day. A long distance relationship was not something ideal for you, but you put up with it for him. You're reading your favorite book when your phone vibrates. You picked it up to check who it is, it's Noya. You smile as you swipe to answer his facetime.

"HIII BABYYY." He says a little too enthusiastically. He's probably drunk right now, because of the time differences it's night where he is. "Hey Yuu. What are you up to?" He giggles like a school girl. "I had a few drinks 'n now I'm headin' home. Just wanna talk to my love." It melts your heart to hear him say that.

"I miss you, Yuu." A sigh escaped your lips. "I miss you tooooooo." He slurs his words. He was breathing right onto the camera so you decide to say, "Back up, your breath stinks. Chew some gum or something." He laughs at your statement. "You can't even smell it." He smiles. "I can smell it through the screen, super senses." He rolls his eyes. "I love you." He says softly and you frown. You miss him so much and it's hard. "I love you too, Noya." You two spend the next couple of hours talking about random stuff.

Tsukishima

You and your best friend were out eating hotpot together at a restaurant. Tsukishima finishes off a slice of onion and continues to tell you about his college experience. "My calculus profess-" You plug your nose and scrunch up your face (as a joke). "Jeez, don't talk to me with onion breath." He rolls his eyes and pretends he doesn't care. It obviously bothered him though because he kept cupping his hand to his mouth to see if it does smell. There's an awkward silence for a bit and it's suffocating. "Tsukki! I was kidding, it's not even that bad."

He pouted and turned away from you. "Don't talk to me, my breath stinks remember?" "It was a prank." You whine. You kind of knew he was gonna be sour about this. Luckily, he just rolls his eyes and continues to tell you about his calculus professor.

Don't think he forgave you though! He got you back when you were least expecting it :)

Ushijima (oh no)

You'd realize something while sitting down and watching a sitcom. You've never pranked Ushijima.. like ever. Your daughter runs up to you to show you her drawing. "I have an idea!" You tell her and her eyes light up and she starts squealing. "Let's prank daddy and tell him his breath smells bad." She claps her hands at the idea.

The two of you go on about your day normally. Dinner's been made and Wakatoshi's is in the microwave. Your hand massages your daughter's scalp as she's sitting in your lap watching her favorite TV show.

The door clicks, meaning that Wakatoshi is home. Your daughter turns her head to look at you and you put a finger to your lips indicating that the prank is a secret. He walks over to the couch and tries to place a kiss on his daughter's forehead like he always does. Her face scrunches up and she says, "P U, daddy your breath stinks!"

He's confused at first. "If so, then why do you let me kiss your forehead every evening when I get home?" She hesitates for a second before coming up with an excuse. "Well daddy, I never said anything before because I didn't want to make you sad." He frowns and you and your daughter try to keep in the laughter.

"Let me smell." You say to your husband and he leans over to reach you and he blows a small breath in your face. It smells like mint, which implies he probably brushed after practice. "Ew, it is bad. Baby, you need to take care of that before you give out any kisses." He's still so confused (poor bean). "But I brush after practice." You roll your eyes. "Clearly not good enough." He walks away and heads toward the staircase to go upstairs and brush his teeth. He's grumbling the whole way. Your daughter starts to laugh which triggers your laugh. Wakatoshi, half way up the stairs stops and turns to look at you and your little munchkin. "What's so funny?" You smile at him. "Honey, we were kidding! I was watching a funny sitcom and decided I wanted to prank you. Your breath smells minty fresh." Your daughter joins in, "Yeah daddy your breath smells good!"

He huffs and walks back down the stairs. "Prepare yourselves because the tickle-monster is in town." The two of you scream as Wakatoshi tickles you guys. You try to form words through fits of laughter. "We- we're sorry!"

Aran ;3

Waking up should be a workout in and of itself. You wake up next to your boyfriend who usually wakes up first. He must be sleepy if he's not awake and you are. You just lie awake in bed thinking of all those times you've tried to kiss Aran good morning but he'd respond with 'Brush those teeth first, morning breath." It made you a little cranky sometimes because all you wanted to do was love on him.

After about an hour you hear him stirring awake. While he was sleep you've formed a plan, if he tries to kiss you, you'll do the same thing he always does in the morning.

"Mmm, baby." You hear his rich deep voice call out for you. (ugh im down bad for him <3 the representation is so real) He turns to you and cups your face. "Morning, love bug." He says with a smile on his face. A heated feeling pools at your stomach but you weren't going to get soft now, not after every time he's denied you a kiss.

You watch as his full lips pucker up and he attempts to kiss your cheek. When you pull away from him he looks at you with concern and asks, "did I make you mad the other day? I know I said I'd be home early, but practice ran late."

"Don't kiss me before brushing your teeth, morning breath." You say mocking his deep voice. He shrugs and gets up to go brush his teeth. "Aran I was kidding, I was copying you anytime I tried to kiss you in the morning." He continued his walk to the bathroom. "Even if you are kidding it doesn't matter, I need to pee anyway so I might as well knock out brushing my teeth."

You chuckle shaking your head at him. This man is truly the hottest man ever something else. You get up to join him in his morning routine.

you were on your way to the small diner down town to meet your best friend for lunch. you felt happy and honored he chose you to go with on his birthday nonetheless.

you had a small gift in hand. you got him a card and some small things that reminded you of him. of course, the card was written with love, words of affirmation and praise sprinkled in the writing. you know how much he enjoyed being praised and of course you meant it all. not only was he a great friend, but you couldn't stop thinking of how he'd make a better boyfriend. you entered the diner, looking around for Goshiki. you couldn't seem to find him, about to get a table in advance for you both but you felt a pair of hands on your shoulders. you looked back and saw him, immediately greeting him with a smile and a 'happy birthday'

he smiled too, a faint pink shade creeping up on his face. he thanked you as he led you to a table and waited for you to sit down before he did. you handed him his gift, waiting for him to open it. he smiled again, more blush creeping it up on his face.

you failed to notice how your hand brushed up against his when you handed him the gift, but he definitely noticed it.

"th-thank you y/n!" he said a little loudly. he got embarrassed, mostly because he thought he was being to obvious.

though it wasn't obvious for you to notice, mainly because you were embarrassed too. your crush for him spiraled out of control and only grew stronger the more you hung out with him.

you told him it was no problem as you sat waiting for him to open it. you hoped he liked it. he peered at it, about to open the bag but the waiter had came over and ruined the moment.

of course it was their job so you couldn't be that upset. you both ordered drinks to start. you glanced at the menu quickly as it seemed Goshiki already knew what he wanted.

you told the worker your order and as soon as they left you looked back to your friend in front of you. he instantly went back to the gift, his curiosity killing him. you laughed a little at his eagerness.

he read the card first, his face becoming super red the more words he read. he hid his face behind the card and you were unable to notice. though your face was also the same shade- if not more. you were unsure if he liked it or not.

he slammed the card down, you could now see his flustered face. "THANK YOU Y/N!" he said again, this time even louder.

you were a bit startled and he seemed to notice. he apologized immediately. "it's- it's okay Tsutomu." you said, reassuring him. "do- do you like the card?" you asked- though you were sure you already knew the answer.

he nodded, seeming even more and more embarrassed. his heart was beating faster ever second. he was to flustered to even look at you now. he went back to the gift, wanting to change his mind onto something else. though when he opened it and saw some of his favorite things and even a cute plushie he seemed to go back to that flushed state. he looked at you and you were unsure what to make of his expression.

you opened your mouth to speak but he did too at the same time. "can I tell you somethign?" you asked. "CAN I TELL YOU SOMETHING?" he asked.

you laughed at how you both said it at the same time. he joined in not long after. you both said yes and laughed at how it happened again. "at this point lets just say it at the same time." you joked, not expecting him to nod.

you held your breath, nervous as hell. you nodded back. what was there to really lose? "I LIKE YOU." you both say.

it takes a minute for both of you to really register what the other had said. neither of you were sure if you just heard yourself or if it was really true.

"really?" he asked.

you nodded, smiling and he smiled back. you were about to speak but lunch had been served. you looked down at the plate in front of you then to the waiter as they left. you both broke into laughter. it was crazy how it went out and how you both seemed to be thinking the same thing.

"does this mean.." he started.

you smiled again, laughing at how cute he was.

"yeah." you said, knowing exactly what he wanted.

you were glad that had been settled, and it couldn't have happened in a better way. you started to eat your lunch, not realizing Goshiki was still looking at you. he was flustered, and he couldn't seem to calm his heart down.

"I LOVE YOU Y/N" he said, proud of what he said.

you sat up straight, caught off guard but you couldn't be upset. not because of him. not on his birthday, not ever.

"I love you too Tsutomu. happy birthday." you said, leaning over and placing a kiss on his head.

it was the best birthday he had ever had, and it was the best gift he could have ever asked for.

Why do you continue to watch Neverafter and make posts about it when you seem to really dislike the choices the players are making? I'm genuinely interested, i'm not trying to be catty, it's just I personally drop seasons if I dislike the choices the players are making (did that with SSO) whereas you seem really frustrated by their choices but are still watching?

I'm just interested in why you still watch, because I think that's a really interesting difference! Not trying to criticise your choice at all, just curious to your reasoning, if you feel like sharing! first and foremost, at least for me my posts aren't like. an accurate representation of my overall feelings on an episode bc ur getting a sampling bias of my Strong Enough To Post thoughts. genuinely i have a very good time watching these episodes!! like i think i broke something laughing during pinnochio and cinderella's conversation. and thats mainly why i watch d20! love to laugh and giggle and chuckle etc, i just don't really feel the need to post "wow that was a good joke i'm having fun" bc i feel like that's my baseline d20 experience?

on another level, my greatest passion in this cold world is digging into the themes and intentions of a story and laying everything out and seeing how it works!! critique (or even just kvetching) isn't really an expression of dislike or distaste for me, it's an expression of love--that i care about something enough to figure out what it's trying to do on a thematic level, and analyze where i think it's falling short! i have a whole post ranking which d20 seasons i would do a fullscale rewrite on lmfao--and another key point from that post is that like. while there is Some level of general frustration when stories fail to achieve their full ~potential~ or whatever, it's never something i direct at the players themselves? because like. they're doing comedy improv. of course it's not going to produce the most thematically coherent decisions (unless its TUC, love you TUC, you're perfect). this is why im posting about it on my silly blog instead of like tweeting at them or whatever lol. honestly if i'm exhibiting Frustration its probably at people i see in the tag refusing to entertain more complicated takes. but i could probably stand to chill a bit about that sooo

i watch rnm 06x07 (late, as always) and wow the show just keeps getting worse! my issue isn't even the meta jokes (and the jokes ABOUT meta jokes), it's that it's so boring! it's completely lost it's charm imo. like some episodes this season have been fantastic but overall she is flopping </3

i wanted to answer this later (contrary to popular belief i have ""obligations"" mainly bc of something called """university""") (🤢) but it wouldn't let me rest so let me just say this: you're right but i don't agree gydnfy but also i agree.

i didn't like the latest episode, this is nothing that others haven't said but pointing out that a concept is forced, that it sucks, doesn't make it suck less haha.. "not a likable premise" is right, i don't know if we were supposed to disagree with rick but i mean, i couldn't, it's like the joke is just on the audience now. and it felt like the writers needed to vent. i still enjoyed some moments a lot and actually when i watched it with my sister i forgave some jokes i groaned at the first time, like it grew on me just a tiny bit on a second watch but it's a no from me, specifically because of the meta bullcrap

i also happen to have a problem with what morty (as in the writers through morty) said about creativity, i'm no big shot tv show writer (lmaoo) but i think if that's how they view art/creating, we've got some ,, issues mayhaps! but it's whatever that's just one detail, my real complaint is that the episode wasn't really fun, creative or funny, and it felt like it hated itself. sorry for being harsh it's out of genuine love. and i think when a show's actually clever, there should be no need to remind us and poke fun at trite concepts and at shitty jokes. it's not like i know better but umm 🧐 get off the high horse and Do the clever stuff, Balance sci-fi with drama and comedy, Be earnest. or perish, you know. but that's just my opinion

anyway sorry i went on a bit of a tangent there, the season as a whole isn't a flop in my opinion, it's just all in the process of evolving. there are things that changed that i'm happy about and things that i'm not happy about.. the pacing felt smoother, apart from maybe full meta jackrick they didn't do that thing where they take on too much in a single episode (and then it's a fast-paced mess full of incomprehensible sci-fi jargon gydgxy), i think the storytelling was a bit better... i like what they're doing with canon, i like that they chose to take away portal travel and make the first half family-oriented and more sitcom-y, i think that was needed. bethcest was daring. i think there's a lot to like about this season

whether the show's truly funny at this point is arguable (but if you don't think it is funny at all, why watch lol) - i think there were a decent number of laughs, it's not the best r&m can do, it's not a Great season, but i'd argue this show has never been consistently great. unless you count the first season! kind of. being a season one elitist is one way to live but it seems a bit limiting and i really do enjoy each of the five seasons before this to varying degrees and for slightly different reasons. shows that aren't sure what they're doing from the get-go or shows that aren't sure how to keep up interest and keep the story going and have it be consistent are always highly divisive because like,, they give you a lot to play around with.... a lot to consider, many different things you can like about it. so of course we have different ideas of what it should be

i don't even know what the point i wanted to make is, but i will say that i don't see season 6 as worse or boring, i see it as different. fundamentally different, maybe that's why it can't be as funny or funny in the same way or satisfy me personally. with the many people who seem to love the new developments, rick being gentler and whatnot, i'm inclined to say "the ideas i have about the best direction for rick and morty and the ideas the writers have (+ the wishes of long-time fans) are growing farther apart" instead of "the show's deteriorating"

we could've had more morty this season. the show is its best imo when the rick-morty dynamic is front and center and that's where my personal dissatisfaction and my ideas and wishes come in: i think season 6 does many things right, but the aspect of this show that's the most integral to my enjoyment and that made it particularly special to me is barely there anymore. i am not interested in rick being careful, apologetic or considerate, especially with his grandson, that's not what i signed up for and they couldn't make me believe the shift in the dynamic or appreciate it, really. i just think rick and morty are less compelling this way, in that regard it's boring to me too!! and i never opposed rick becoming a better person/less controlling! lol i just don't buy it if it happens this way. i saw someone say the show lost its teeth, i referred to it as having been castrated gyshy and i do feel that. i miss the teeth.

i bought some batman/robin comics second-hand from a con i was at a few months ago (just because they were there and there weren't that many). i finally finished reading them all..... i can see now why they were on sale......

im JOKING kind of. well. they weren't bad-bad but they didn't blow my mind either. i do not understand the hype around batman: year one (frank miller) for example but who knows maybe i'll change my mind after reading some other comics. maybe it's a relative thing. loved the art though i loooove the inking in it im such a sucker for some INK.

i saw that the nolan's dark knight films drew some influence from it and, now don't shoot me, i did not enjoy the films. outside of some iconic quotes they just did not appeal to me. but that's another topic. i noticed reeves' the batman also drew inspiration from here and i LOVE that film so the stuff here isn't all that bad. it was just that "jim has a wife named barbara" set us on the wrong foot.

anyway year one's writing felt very weird to me i was picking up vibesTM. like girl wtf was this quote it made me laugh. but like it also read to me as very "wOmeN dON't aCT lIKe WOmeN anyMORe" but im willing to assume good faith and that wasn't the intention. still really silly to me

i have more bad than good to say about this book but i don't? hate it? it's hard to explain. i think im waiting for something to compare it to, something that makes me go "SEE! now THIS is good!" and im REALLY new to comics so i'll just move on now

i also read the following robin comics: days of fire and madness, wanted, teenage wasteland and the big leagues.

shamefully my interest in batman/batfam was piqued through fanon stuff but i did go in knowing fanon tim and canon tim are very different. i came away from this experience thinking tim is a bit of a fuckboy (im JOKING again but i think that's so funny). im also aware im missing a lot of context but ANYWAY

there were moments that gave me a laugh but i hated days of fire and madness (willingham) for this alone it was ickyyyyyyy everything that had something to do with von hammer i did not like. and i did not care for these characters or whatever tim was trying to do (i think he was undercover? this is where the missing context comes in. maybe if i had whatever came before this book... idk)

i mainly did a lot of studying of how fanon tim compares to canon and this tim is such a little stinker it makes me laugh so hard howwww do you get demure and shy and apologetic out of this guy.

It��s mainly because he reads faces better than voice inflection, but also he gets so giddy when you answer the phone and it’s just a pixelated you <3

You could have the screen beneath your face while you snack, or while you’re typing away on your computer, and he’s smiling like an idiot cause he thinks you’re SO cute

It was a little weird at first, but you’ve gotten used to it and learned it means nothing - it’s just his face

He gets the hiccups after every time he drinks a bubbly drink, and after every meal & snack

He gets viscerally angry about them too

Maybe it’s because he eats every meal like it’s his last and chugs drinks like nobody’s business but who knowssss

His skill is not needing to drink while he eats, he waits until after his meal and will drink half of his water bottle or most of whatever drink he has

On the topic of this, he also always finishes his food before you

Never makes you feel rushed though, finishes his food and just chills with you like a sweetheart not thinking anything of it (he does have a habit of taking little bites of whatever you’re eating though, so be prepared to deal with his fingers coming onto your plate absentmindedly to steal some bites)

He’s got a big ol oral fixation - he’s constantly snacking on somethin if you guys are watching TV, and he used to chew on the ends of his pencils pretty bad until he started chewing gum instead in high school

So now he’s always strapped with packs of gum - his favorite is the super minty cube shaped ones

He has no problem ever sharing with you either!

Except one time he just asked if you wanted some and you made a joke about some “oh what does my breath stink?” And he about combusted

When you laughed he was fed UP with you

He’ll do pretty much anything for you regardless but sometimes he likes to act like he has a price - which is just a kiss or a head scratch

He doesn’t buy clothes for himself often, which means all his more over sized shirts and crewnecks from his late teens are more… fitting now that’s he filled out and gotten a bit taller (credit to ryn for the imagery of 5’11 dorito shaped Yuuta🤤)

He hasn’t noticed either since he’s never been too worried about his appearance, just enough to be put together

It wasn’t until he found an old t-shirt in the back of his closet that he really liked, and when he put it on it fit like a midi tee 😭

His lockscreen is a picture of you two and he changes it at whim

But his home screen is just ~you

At first he liked taking pics of you more than taking them with you but he likes how you two look together in pics, and how big you always smile when he’s standing next to you or just in the pic

It makes his heart swell a little and reminds him how much you love him

Even a goodnight or good morning ily text can make his day better

Here are a few! Ive shared some already though so ill put them here too:

He snorts when he laughs, like loud

he has the faintest drawl due to spending most of his youth with Malon and Talon

As I’ve said before he can not read Hylian. I like to think the Kokiri had their own written language. Maybe like a few signs, but mainly cause he followed them and figured out where they were pointing to, but he mainly relies on maps as to not have to read them. However i think Malon has helped him out quite a bit, maybe not completely, but at the very least a few basic things when they first met. Things like clocks and numbers so he could at the very least function in the shops in castle town. He knows and recognizes a few basic words and has wonderful deductions skills. He can also vaguely write. But i can see him waiting in silence as a sign post he cant read until one of the other boys says something about what it says, then playing it off as if he was in thought about their next move. I feel like its a constant battle in his head like this with Time as Haru

Bc of Termina , he unconsciously tracks time based things in his head. It makes him super good at telling times. Like someone once complained that it felt like they had been walking for hours, only for Time to pipe in saying they had only been walking for 2 hour, 23 minutes, and 41 seconds. He know how long almost everyone is in their morning/nightly routines like clockwork, and can easily tell when someone is lagging behind, or oddly fast, and is quick to approach them about it if it concerns him enough

Several of the links have called him dad, he is not mad in the slightest but he wont tell them that to spare them

Most of his dad jokes that he tells come from Malon

He is an actual gremlin, like hes no better stunt wise than Wild, but he has taken up a responsibility to leader the group and be the guidance he didn’t really have, even if they've all basically finished their individual quests

When woken by nightmare bc of Termina, he will stay away fro 3 days straight and sleep for one, in intervals.

He loves children, considering he was raised with eternal ones and never really grew up in a conventional way, he understands them pretty well and finds them cute

However he is deathly afraid of carrying babies

Malon had to explain to him a lot of adult things including where babies come from. (he was horrified)

He will sing songs horribly off key and out of tune to make Malon feel better if she’s upset

He lost depth perception due to his eye, and cant fire a bow very well anymore, maybe in a dire situation, but only as a last resort.

Personal Favorite: slight tw! blood/injury mentioned!

He lost his eye when tried and failed to remove the Fierce Deity Mask, whom was extremely angry at the time and could not hear Link calling out to be let go. He had to use a weapon to dig in his face blindly and into the mask to pull it off. His scratched up his face leading to the scar. smaller ones still litter his face though they are more faint. He hasn't been on good standing with the Fierce Deity since, though he was prior.

Hey sorry if this is a weird question but what are your thoughts on shipping in the AOD fandom? Like for me i dont really like any ships between the main cast (aside from maybe ray/eddie) because they're all like a found family methinks BUT i still like to ask whenever i find AOD people

(warning this gets very ramble-y toward the end, but I stand by what I said lol)

Personally, I’m not huge on ‘shipping’ per se, but I do love exploring different characters relationships and interactions, and from that I have a few pairings, though most of mine aren’t exactly romantic, because I think throwing in a whole “they do this because they’re in loOove” cheapens the story a bit. More on that later.

1. CATHY + LUCY

of course I had to start with these two, I think they’re the most prominent ship with, like, any in-text evidence. I find Lucy’s devotion and obsession with Cathy to be interesting, but I don’t really think Cathy feels (or even has the capacity to feel) the same. The ep.0 storyline shows a lot of evidence towards this, though we can see that Cathy does take Lucy’s emotions into consideration when she chooses her as her first personal murder, so there may be more to that relationship than meets the eye. Personally, I’m not a huge fan of the power imbalance between the pair, but I still like seeing content for it!

2. CATHY + DANNY

okay. I will admit that this is one of my favorites, but mainly in a these-two-are-both-terrible-people-and-would-be-horrible-for-each-other-but-their-interactions-are-funny kind of way. They are my exception ship in every way, especially with all the content we see of them together in the ep.0 storyline. I like that they are more equal in a sense that they both think the other is beneath them, so their banter is top tier. Also. They are both extremely hot. Together they would be unstoppable but they’d also probably end up killing each other. Underrated ship imo, even if it is toxic as hell and not super romantic (or even platonic lol)

3. EDDIE + RACHEL

I get where the hype for this one comes from, because he says he loves her and they’re around the same age and aesthetically they do look really cute together, but it’s really just not my thing ship-wise. I think that how Eddie’s attachment to Rachel is explored in the games is more to shows Eddie’s personality than anything, and we get to see that he is desperate for something to calls his own. He projects a lot of his own emotions on to Rachel, without much regard for her actual feelings. I get major “nice-guy” vibes from him, and as someone who had a friend in school who put me in a similar situation, which I think is where my icks about these two comes from. That being said, I still love seeing fanart of the two!

4. EDDIE + GIRL (spoilers for ep eddie)

(The girl from episode Eddie) I think I ship these two more than I do eddieray, bc at least the girl in this game wanted Eddie to kill her. I do think the reason Eddie gets so attached to Rachel in the first place is because of his past relationship with the girl, I think Ray became a bit of a replacement for her after she was brought to the building by Danny. Anyways they’re cute together, and there’s even some adorable little sprites of him helping her walk that I love.

5. GRAY + ANYONE FROM THE SERIES

The only person I ship gray with is myself. (JOKING)

(I also don’t see myself shipping Shin from ep.0 with anyone either, but maybe that’ll change as more volumes are released. )

I have seen a surprising amount of content for this one. 10/10 crackship, it makes me laugh every time I see it.

some people will probably be confused as to why I’m bringing this one up on a ship post, but since it’s such a divisive relationship in this fandom I can’t just leave it out ya know? And I have some thoughts on their relationship as a whole so it’s going in the list.

I do NOT ship these two romantically, I think that they fit more into the category of found family, but that even that label doesn’t quite fit the dynamic.

They’re closer than friends but they’re barely even acquaintances. (they’ve known each other for like 3~ days!) They would both die and kill for each other. They understand each other on a level that no other person in their world ever could. Through their shared experiences, they survived layer after layer of hell and challenged “god” in his own church.

I think what’s most profound to me is that the catalyst for their relationship is Zack yelling out a promise he doesn’t even realize he’s making. That’s the only thing that made Rachel choose Zack to kill her over Eddie, and from there we get to watch these two unlikely allies struggle through the first genuine connection either of them has had for years. They’re parallels, and we get more insight to that as they make their way through different puzzles. As the game progresses, we see Rachel’s past get darker and darker, while there is light shed on Zack’s in turn. It really makes you wonder what sort of thing classifies a person as innocent or guilty, and whether you can truly judge a person shaped by their experiences.

Obvious issues of the ZR ship aside, I do get a little annoyed when fans that do ship it water their relationship down to “and then she grew up and they kissed” or some shit like that because I feel like they’ve missed the entire point of the story. Anyways.

Queer-platonic-relationship Zack and Rachel is probably the closest I could describe their relationship to fit my own personal perception of these two. Especially with my aroace Zack hc and the canonical trauma both of them went through at the hands of their parents. I think it would be incredibly hard for either of them to actually have a romantic relationship with anyone, but there’s no way they would ever live without each other if they escaped together and lived in the end.

you’re going to need some patience to try and show him you’d choose him, and not your bias, even if you had the chance

they’re completely different people and you love him BECAUSE he’s jisung, not for any other reason

please reassure him so he can go back to acting like his authentic self, i think it would be such a relief for him too

your words and affection are obviously enough for him, but if it ever happens that he feels especially low and insecure again, it would help if your bias talks to him too

and taeyong wouldn’t have a problem with it

actually, scratch that, taeyong probably knew what was going on all along
