Gaston and Henri groggily came to, their heads splitting with pain. As their vision and their brains cleared, they were aware of urgent female hands pulling at them, and unceremoniously removing their chain mail and surcoats. But these were no acts of lust or passion: the green clad women giggled to each other as the men’s clothing was pulled away, reducing the Frenchmen to no more than their under breeches. Worse was to come. Stripped of the garb that made them so terrifying to the English peasants, the two soldiers felt small and childlike in front of the unforgiving gaze of the women, including the seemingly helpless young girl they had so recently sought to attack.

“You see, ladies,” the leading outlaw said, “they aren’t so very much without their metal and swords. Now tie them up and gag them!” The cowering men had neither the means nor the sprit to resist. The women, chattering excitedly, soon forced their arms behind their backs and tightly bound them with strong cutting rope. This was followed by their arms, legs and ankles also being gleefully tied. “Who-who are you, Lady?” Gaston managed to address the women’s leader moments before he was roughly gagged. The elegant hooded woman gazed back at the captive. “Maid Marion of Locksley, Norman,” she told him, using the old English pejorative, “forced from my husband’s lands and into outlawry by your Sheriff.” Then Marion turned to her band. “Hide them in the undergrowth, sisters,” she ordered, “our work is not yet complete.”

All I’m saying is if you loose one member of a love triangle, the natural progression is that the remaining two members couple up…

Which is why we should have got Robin x Gisborne in S3. I don’t care if Gisborne killed the other third of the triangle.

So Dazai is our lovely Maid Marion and he's singing and wondering where his true chibi love could be. Chuuya feels very strongly that he's not drunk enough for Dazai’s shenanigans. The Agency has finally disowned him or its all a dare from Ranpo and Yosano. Take your pick.

Thankyou So Much, Sir Robert…

When the mighty Robert de Castillon, scourge of heretics, peasants and saracens, comes to, he momentarily believes he has been rescued. A tall surcoated figure stands above him, clad in the colours of the Sheriff of Nottingham. The captain attempts to speak, to mouth gratitude to the soldier before him, but he soon realises that his dry mouth is forced open by a cloth cleave gag and he can say nothing. He also realises he is bound - tied hand and foot, his back pressed painfully against the rough bark of a Sherwood oak. It is then that the hapless captain notices - shame of shame - that he is stark naked except for his breeches. Although his neck is tied tightly to the tree along with his wrists and arms, Robert still cranes his bound head and discerns a distinctly female shape to the man at arms standing above him. Sure enough, a mocking woman’s voice sounds. “Comment ca-va, mon ami?” she says. “I hope I did not make those ropes too tight.” Robert immediately recognises Maid Marion’s sarcastic tones. Rage and hatred fills the Frenchman’s thoughts and he strains at his bonds to no avail. He hears more women’s laughter and takes in the extraordinary sight of another four females, all clad in the livery of the Sheriff.

“Thankyou so much for letting my maids and I borrow the garments and weapons of your troop, Sir Robert,” grins Marion once again, adjusting the captain’s own helmet on her head, “they are just what we need to get into the castle and rescue my husband!” Robert gazes skyward in despair as he realises he and all his men have been defeated, captured and humiliated by a gang of outlaw whores and harlots. He pulls on the ropes once more. “Mmmmmmppppphhhh!!!” he rages at the women. “Don’t go anywhere, Sir Robert,” giggles Marion as she and her maids prepare to leave, “I am sure Robin Hood himself will be delighted to meet you when we return!”

Cringetober Day 22 : Maid dress / Sailor uniform

I've been missing the past 3 days due to personal stress and coping with said stress by playing inscryption. HOWEVER I will be back for maid dress day!

My favourite activity is putting the absolute worst men I create in maid dresses. Humble them. These two are ocs I haven't properly introduced here! They're both Danganronpa guys.

Edwin (maid dress wearer) is the ultimate cryptozoologist, while Marion (maid dress giver) is the ultimate Entomologist! They're besties :]

These are the chapter house stairs in Wells Cathedral. Someday I’d love to do a supercut of every time these show up on screen. Apparently a lot of filmmakers think they’re perfect for their hero to race up or down while escaping the castle, or to have a swordfight on. They’ve appeared in every other Robin Hood movie or TV series, and anything else where they want a medieval castle feel and some derring-do.

I first noticed them in 1984, when Robin of Sherwood ran up them, took a sharp right through a doorway, and met Maid Marion for the first time. I saw them most recently in Dungeons & Dragons: Honour Among Thieves - and sat up and went “Aww!”, because they might be 700 years old, but they’re also old friends by this point.
