📌Cami, II. Abdülhamid’in Yıldız Sarayı’na yerleşmesinden sonra 1885-1886 yılları arasında inşa edilmiştir. Camiyi selamlık (Cuma namazı) merasimleri için yaptırmıştır.

📌 Padişahların İstanbul’da yaptırdıkları camilerin sonuncusudur.

📌Selâtin camileri arasında sadece bu camide iki hünkar mahfili bulunmaktadır. Nedeni II. Abdülhamit’in bir suikast girişiminde hangi mahfile gideceğinin önceden bilinmemesi önlemenine bağlanmaktadır.
