#magical contract

So this is just an idea I need to get out of my brain.

The small but rich kingdom called Pur Blindé built its wall with dark magic. This was known to the world, but when the 2nd prince started the rebellion against the crown prince, it struck fear in the small kingdom.

Cale so happens to be in this kingdom and is about to be killed by the prince Claude himself. He knew that his shield would block the attack, but it did not help him in what could be seen as normal or completely new to this world.

It was new. It was new but it saved his life but that came with a price. He now has to be the new symbol of light and bring hope to Claudes people. This lead to the victory of Claude and him ascending to be the Emperor of Obelia.

This is also how Cale becomes the empress of Obelia. But this was all due to a contract to ensure his safety. The only way this contract could be broken is if Claude falls in love with someone and realizes it.

This goes on, and the empire prosper under their ruling. Cale makes sure that nothing goes on in his empire, and if you are caught, you will be severely punished. This caused the empire to be peaceful and the safest it ever been.

Cale was hailed to be the blessing from heaven above. He was given a title known to only the common people to be the only empress Obelia has had. He was the only one who took being the "mother" of the Empire seriously.

This goes on while Cale is trying to find this worlds world tree. He has got everything work out, but the only thing stopping him is the contract. That is until Claude meets Diana and falls in love with her.

But before Cale left he made sure everything was in order and gave Claude a warning.

"If you try to have a child with her, make certain that her body can handle it. Don't do something you will regret."

The next day, Cale was gone, and the contract was on top of his desk in his office. The empire was crazy for a long time. Rumors of the contract spread and hatred towards Diana was quickly rising. Then, the news of her expecting a child spread. The people protest that Diana is not fit to be nothing more than a concubine. These protests were quickly taken care of, and none dared to speak up again.

Claude made sure that Diana did not hear anything that happened outside of the palace. Then things goes as the novel but the only difference is that Claude has to choose. He can choose to forget Cale or Diana.

I really needed to get this out of my head. Again, it is not perfect or good writing. This is just me getting this idea out of my head before it drives me crazy. Not beta read, so mistakes are bound to be there.

actually no i need to talk about the green witch arc. ciel and his band of merry fools go to germany and learn that this forest is haunted by WEREWOLVES and in it is a village full of WITCHES with cursed amulets and potions and whatever

and the immediate vibe is "lol what a bunch of bogus" which is really just batshit coming from the kid with a demon butler

and then woah big reveal! it wasn't werewolves or witches it was a covert military operation REPLETE with radar tracking (not a thing until wwii) and electronic displays (most likely crt screens, which again weren't fully developed until the 1930s) and TANKS. for reference the first "tank" was put together by a guy in 1899 who mounted a machine gun to THIS

absolute paragon of engineering. the panzer (the exact model of tank in the arc) was not a thing until wwi.

and. and ciel and ESPECIALLY the Demon Butler in question are like. ohhhh yeah that makes more sense. the amulets were just transmitting our exact locations through technology that won't exist for another three decades. whew glad we sorted that one out. man wouldn't it have been CRAZY if it really was werewolves.

NO: you are not disabled because you need to learn a karmic lesson.

NO: you did not choose to be born into an abusive family before incarnating.

NO: your trauma bonds are not soul bonds.

NO: you did not enter a "soul contract" with your abuser.

NO: you do not deserve to live in poverty because of a "past life."

NO: you do not go into "karmic debt" for standing up for yourself.

NO: the people pushing these narratives are not more spiritual than you; they don't "vibrate" at a "higher frequency" than you.

NO: your "past life" is not justification for people treating you like shit and hurting you in this one.

There is a reason people are pushing this narrative. There is a reason they so badly want you to believe the bad shit happening to you is something you chose and you deserve. It is text book victim blaming. If they can get you to blame yourself, for something you had absolutely no way to control, then they can get you to knuckle under and accept anything they do to you.

Don't knuckle under. Don't let people treat you like shit and say you asked for it before you were born. Don't let people convince you that things like poverty, mental illness, physical disability, and abuse are something you earned and that they won't stop until you learned your lesson, so just surrender.

Guess what I did. ^u^ I contracted! I'm a real puella magi now.

I use a necklace, but it isn't really my soul gem because my soul gem is in the astral. It's just a visualization for it/way of managing it in the physical realm. I wrote in my journal about the specifics. I'll transcribe it.

Contract day! Day 0. 7/17/2024. I made a contract with Kyubey. He had a black hat that looked like an upside down bowl. This is what happened: I got the necklace for my soul gem and put it in the middle of the circle. I sat on one side and told Kyubey to sit on the other. I put a white ring on my left to represent the hope of magical girls. I put a black ring on my right to represent the despair of magical girls. Lastly, I put a purple ring in front of me to represent myself. When all that was done, I cast a circle and called upon Kyubey. He answered and asked "What is your wish?" I didn't expect him to get there so quickly. I forgot my wish and almost left the circle to grab this journal to remember. Instead, I made myself focus until I remembered. I repeated my wish until the phrasing felt right. I think he could tell I wasn't very comfortable the first few times. When he transferred my soul, it felt like something was touching my insides, but it didn't hurt, it was just uncomfortable. When it was complete, I felt extremely dizzy, and my body felt hollow and lightweight. The Kyubey looked like this:

Dick can tell that the alpha is angry from the moment he spots him. To be fair, no father would be calm right now, but angry seems like an insufficient word for Slade's current mood.

When the alpha growls, the entire clearing bows their heads.

The men chasing Dick and Rose are already dead, ripped apart by a furious wolf pack, and Dick is numb, wondering if he's next.

He was supposed to keep Rose safe. He was supposed to teach her and protect her. And he failed.

Rose is slumped unconscious in Dick's arms. She isn't seriously hurt, just bruises and scrapes and magical exhaustion, but Dick can practically feel the murder exuding off of Slade as he stalks closer.

"She's okay," Dick tries to reassure, voice hoarse.  "Just tired."

Slade's gaze snaps to him, and Dick abruptly regrets getting the alpha's attention.

The sound Slade makes is a cross between a snarl and a roar, and it's enough to start the trembling. Slade closes the distance, lips pulled back, teeth gleaming, and Dick stays on his knees, frozen to the spot. The sound of his heartbeat is the loudest thing in the clearing.

Dick's whole face is prickling. "I'm sorry," he forces out, because he failed, and then he shuts his eyes. He can't watch his death.

The bite is sudden and deep and agonizing as sharp teeth sink into the junction of neck and shoulder.

Dick cries out, or thinks he cries out, the pain a sharp counterpoint to the way he's getting dizzy. His arms are losing strength and he makes a muffled sound when he feels Rose slipping, but hands skim across his, picking her up easily.

His eyes are open again, but that doesn't make a difference, not when the world is growing ever more blurry between each gasping breath.

Slade disengages, and this time, Dick screams.

It feels like a thousand fire ants chewing on his collarbone, like someone carved him up with a superheated blade, and if this is how bad it hurts, Dick doesn't want to know how bad it looks. The world tilts around him the moment Slade lets go, and Dick finds himself sprawled in the dirt, sobbing so loud he can't hear anything else.

Something wet and cold touches his face, wandering across his skin. Please, Dick tries to say, please make it quick. If the alpha decides to play with his food, well.

The darkness is approaching swiftly, Dick's own injuries catching up with him, and Dick swears he can feel the rough, sandpaper edge of a tongue before it washes over him.

Dick wakes up feeling warm, which is pleasing enough to almost ignore the other throbbing aches that demand attention.  His shoulder is pulsating with soft waves of pain and he very carefully turns his head to avoid aggravating the injury.

He remembers—the fight, Rose passing out in his arms, his own magic drained, the wolves appearing, Slade.

The bite.

Dick swallows.  Slade was snappish the entire time Dick was teaching Rose how to use her magic, he doubts that this episode endeared him to the alpha.  The only niggling problem is that Dick feels far too cozy right now.

He cracks open an eye.  Fur.  Dim light.  Silver hair.  He blinks, looking down in surprise at the curled-up wolf pup sprawled across his chest, breaths softly whistling through the air.

He honestly thought he'd never see Rose again.

There's another pup tucked under his left arm, light-colored and drooling on his shirt, and a bigger, dark-furred adolescent wolf with his back to Dick, and on Dick's other side is—

A cold, ice-blue eye meets his gaze.  The alpha doesn't look any less angry, any less murderous in human form.  Dick is stuck to the spot, trapped by more than a sleeping wolf pup and heavy furs, as the alpha leans over him.

"Sleep," Slade says, in a voice that makes it sound remarkably like a threat.

Dick shuts his eyes, and sleep follows quickly.
