I came across a new wine bar few days ago during an accurate research of places in Rome on where to drink (...and eat) unpredictable products. If you want to try something different 'Magazzino Scipioni' is the right place to go.  You will start your adventure by exploring the immense walls of wines divided by country: Italy, France and Germany. 

You drink by glass or you grab your favourite from the shelves, take away or drink in are available choices. If you aren't in a rush I recommend you to take the time and enjoy a plate of mix cheeses and cured meat, as I did.

From the magical wall today I chose to drink CATARRATTO-ZIBIBBO by Vaccaro, winery located in Salaparuta village, Sicily.

The combination of this two sicilian native vines gives a result of explosive aromas. On the nose is an authentic triumph of intense sweet notes of flowers and fruits. Great acidity, a touch of sapidity and a pleasant final. Easy to understand, easy to drink. 

I leave this place with a great smile on my face and a bottle of Ramatico in my hands ,a ´copper` version of Aleatico, native vine from Latium but I will tell you more next time. Cheers!

Magazzino Scipioni

Magazzino Scipioni mi ha conquistata completamente con il risotto dello Chef Mattaccini, i formaggi e vini francesi e i salumi selezionati da Manuel. Enoteca raffinata ma anche ristorante glamour industrial.

Non sono una fan di Roma Nord (come sapete), ma quando ne vale la pena sono disposta ad affrontare tutti i Suv parcheggiati in doppia fila, le strisce blu, il traffico infinito e addirittura la vista dei bulldog francesi al guinzaglio.

E’ così che in un piovoso lunedi sera di MAGGEMBRE 2019 entro da Magazzino Scipioni.
