The Ten of Swords (Reversed): Recovery, regeneration, resisting an inevitable end.

Today's Febhyurary prompt is "reborn" and it occurred to me it might be a good time to (re?)share this incredible tarot art I got of Rhodry from @mafumafuriah back in 2022. While not a rebirth, per se, it is a painful and miraculous second chance - destiny? a mistake?

It's served in my mind as a sort of unofficial cover art for my fic Beholden, "a story in which the villain accidentally-on-purpose saves the life of the hero, and seals both of their fates together."

Serella of the Silver Lining - Queen of Cups

This was an art piece that my beloved @holyja got commissioned for me by the always effervescent @mafumafuriah (who can also be found on twitter) featuring my Warrior of Light, Serella Arcbane, as the Queen of Cups. It's absolutely breathtaking, thank you so much for taking the time to draw her in such loving detail, Mafumafuriah!!!! She looks absolutely breathtaking!!!

Apologies for those who don't want to read about me getting schmoopy about my girlfriend for a bit, I'll toss all of that below the cut, but TL;DR my girlfriend commissioned this for me and I love them a lot okay thank you for coming to my Ted Talk

They gifted this for me on our first anniversary a few months back, I just hadn't wanted to make a post before I could give them their gifted commission in return!

I wasn't prepared for a lot of things with Hyana- this commission, falling in love, being friends on a more personal level. Hell, us talking in private at all, because I'm normally such a recluse otherwise.

If you had told me two years ago that my crush was actually requited, and I was just being stupid? I would have laughed. And laughed. And laughed.

But now you're visiting me, presently napping on my bed and hogging all of Rhalgr's attention and love (which, of course you are. of course he loves you. didn't I tell you he would? anyone would.) and I feel like the luckiest person in the world.

You're probably going to grumble about how much of a dork I am for this, and that's fine because you forgot to get a nerf gun, so I'm safe from retaliation for now, but even if you hit me with a thousand thousand nerf darts for it, that's okay. I'll still hold your hand and laugh and tell everyone how much I love you and how wonderful you are.

Happy anniversary, my love. The first of many, many to come!

VI. The Lovers || Fray Myste & X’shasi Kilntreader

love • unions • partnerships • relationships • choices • romance • balance • unity

For me The Lovers has always been a card about virtuous choice, and what one values, and what happens when you find unconditional acceptance. Shasi and Fray are not romantically linked, but they are, in a way, soulmates, and this is their first time communing.

@mafumafuriah did such a wonderful job capturing my vision of these two! If you get the chance, I highly recommend working with her! I am already looking forward to commissioning her again. ♥

At long last, my sixth batch of completed cards for my ongoing and very long term project! My attention has definitely been in a whole tonne of places this year but I am still very much wanting to complete the set, I'm deep enough now that I've just gotta keep going! This lot, as well as featuring a heap of angst and poor lost souls being torn in different directions, features three fabulous guest artists; @theninabird (Nine of Swords), @quinnimae (Two of Wands) and @mafumafuriah (Six of Swords) and can I just say I adore each of those pieces so very very much.

“What’s Nimriel?” (Short-comic)

Farengar has some difficulties trying to understand how's possible that Nimriel is "what she is". Despite his love for researches and stuff, trying to perform tests on Nim is too hard even for a scholar like him.  Don't worry boy, you're human, it's ok.
