Gearing up for Dawntrail I really hope they drop the benchmark soon. I know that mods are going to be HIDEOUSLY broken a-f for long while, esp with the graphics upgrades going in... so how I want to take my main into the next expansion is weighing on me. Take her in as vanilla Lizert? Not really keen on my end, I HATE the colour of vanilla scales and the horns attached to her face... not having her scales actually white and her horns turned to look less blocky is a massive turnoff. And her tail being too damn short. Go as she 'currently' is during this downtime: Viera. Less is changed for her mod-wise, except the addition of her tail. Not having that is jarring, but not TOO bad. Yeah, her eyes would bug me, but maybe the graphics update would make it palatable. Make her a QUEEN. Big Kitty Lady. But that all depends on how they end up looking, esp their head/faces. The trailer they showed was nice, but I'm anxious their faces will just be too... jarring in an attempt to make them 'pretty ladies' and not CAT PEOPLE.

Receiving Assistance: “Much obliged, little one.”

Verdandir get KO’d: “Damn, I suppose I must pray she’ll forgive me…”

Verdandir is Revived: “Look at me. Are you able to carry on?”

Dungeon End: “Come along. Let us quit this place in favor of somewhere more pleasant.”

Verdandir is a pacifist at heart and ( for the sake of this ask ) Cyril knows this. His primary objective will be to burn things down as quickly as possible, not leaving them to suffer half-dead, while simultaneously keeping an eye on Verdandir, lest she be overtaken with guilt or else swayed to heal / aid the opposition mid-altercation. As she is extremely impartial to violence - he’ll be slightly more patient with her if she’s put off or needs a moment. In the same breath, he’ll also be ready to gently, or not-so-gently, pull her by the arm if she starts having trouble handling herself. If there’s something particularly harsh or grotesque, he might even grab her and either spin her around, block her line of sight with his body, or cover her eyes.

He will prioritize Verdandir over other party members when it comes to defending them via his own kit, and will also wait to allow her time to properly shield him before each pull. If something targets her, he’ll rush to her side immediately to take its attention off of her. Between pulls, you might catch him and Verdandir’s faerie ( Ephirim ) glaring intently at one another, but only when Verdandir isn’t looking.

And just like that, one journey ends. Yet this Traveler will be continuing. Endwalker was emotional and thought-provoking. There were things I loved. Things every friend of mine said ‘did you scream? we all said you would scream’, which is something really fun to hear... that they make an honest effort to remember things important to me, to think of me in those moments. There were things that I did not like, too. Points I felt missed, things that seemed just a little ‘off’ to me, but they didn’t take away from the overall experience. I am so happy for Yoshida and the entire SE team who have poured so many years, sweat and tears into this amazing game. Watching it from 1.0 through now to 6.0 has been something I will always remember as one of the best ‘glow ups’ and wins in video games.

I look forward to getting back into screenshot taking and posting here. Though it might be awhile yet due to raid-prep and login queues. That said, I will remind people that this blog will remain SPOILER FREE through all of December. I ask everyone to be kind to others struggling to have time and to get through queues to get to experience this wild ride. Don’t be rude when people are learning whole new fights. Don’t use MSQ spoiler mounts, minions or glams where newer players are going to encounter you. Think beyond yourself and be kind to those who want to have the same un-spoiled experience you did.

I hope everyone is able to enjoy this experience and have a safe, happy and healthy holiday season.
