“THE BORGIAS AND THE MAFIA
In 1455, the Holy See was occupied by Alfonso de Borja, a descendant of this eighth knight, under the name Callixtus III. Having gained the trust of King Alfonso Il of Naples, he came to power at the age of seventy-seven, while suffering from stomach cancer. His pain made him suspicious. He believed only in the loyalty of his Spanish family. Through the legacy of inheritance, his fortune fell into the hands of Rodrigo Borgia, who used it to fund his own ascension to the papal throne. Thus was born the first Mafia clan in history.
The Borgias possessed an absolute thirst for power. Europe had, by then, lost all hope in the goodness of God: the plague known as the Black Death had made miserably clear just how precarious human life can be, and with the bitterness of an orphan deprived of its supreme father, the populace consoled itself by indulging in carnal pleasures. It was in this context that Rodrigo Borgia, now Pope Alexander VI, began trafficking in a very powerful drug: papal bulls, which granted the forgiveness of sins . . . Every citizen could murder, steal, gamble, engage in prostitution or incest or unbridled gluttony, and all without fear: because in exchange for a handful of ducats, the Church offered absolution and the assurance that God would welcome the sinner into heaven.
The Borgias' passion for life, for dominance over all mankind, their disdain of any divine retribution, this absolute lack of morality, offset by their staggering appreciation of fine art, utterly captivated me. Knowing that the respectable Church of today once had a Spanish adventurer at its roots, a clever thief who was surrounded by his bought-and-sold lovers and by his children, each embodying a spiritual summit as well as an abyss - Cesare, strength and tyranny; Lucrezia, beauty and lust; Giovanni, intelligence and vanity; Gioffre, purity and stupidity - reminded me of the lotus plant, whose bright flowers spring from filthy swamps . . . And so I yielded to the temptation to write a comics script: in the form of a vast historical fresco on the creation, growth, and death of this provocative family, so similar to some of the people currently governing our planet.
(…)
In place of the Black Death, we have cancer and AIDS, along with pollution of our air, our water, and our planet. Instead of cities at war, we are witness to entire countries fighting. Christianity and Islam remain in conflict even today. The discovery of the Americas has now become interplanetary exploration. We're experiencing the artistic revolution of the Renaissance through personal computers and the Internet. The papal bulls of yore are today's commercial "benedictions" from the United States. Just as the ducat was the key to paradise during the Renaissance years, our only God is the almighty dollar: whether its value goes up or down and the gates of heaven open or close . . . Just as Machiavelli, in his book The Prince, recommended aggressive invasions to achieve Italian unity, in this day and age a powerful nation (that shall remain nameless) ruthlessly attacks any country, claiming to obstruct "Evil" but spurred on, in fact, by its thirst for oil . . . Today, the Borgias have been replaced by oil mafias, pharmaceutical industry multinationals, drug cartels, and greedy bankers.
And yet, the corruption that flourished during the Renaissance could not prevent the emergence of a Leonardo da Vinci, a Raphael, a Botticelli, a Michelangelo, a Dante, a Machiavelli even, as well as so many others who opened up new vistas to human awareness. This is what brings us great hope: the possibility that the decadence of the world today is just the pain of a chrysalis becoming a butterfly, and that from the last vast crisis into which we plummet a new humanity will arise, one that will look upon us with the same tender compassion we feel for the monkeys.

So I'm calling the AU "Lou Jitsu's Kids". I'm still working on the story and a few details, but basically this is how the story goes...
It begins introducing the most important characters to the AU and giving some quick context, starting with Lou Jitsu. (His story is exactly the same as canon until a certain point so I won't explain him lol).
Next we're introduced to Bea M, Lou Jitsu's manager, publicist, former roadie, owner of the Hotel Nexus where Lou Jitsu lives, and girlfriend. But secretly and unbeknownst to Lou, she runs an underground crime syndicate and mafia under the pseudonym "Big Mama".
The story picks up at Lou's proposal to Big Mama. She declines, fearing that if they were to get married, her secret double life would be revealed. Lou is heartbroken but accepts her answer, believing that she will one day accept it when she's ready.
The next introduction is to a young struggling single mother, who's boyfriend left her after the unplanned pregnancy of their son, Raphael. Raph's mom has just been laid off and rent is due at her crummy apartment. Though she wants to keep her son, she understands that she cannot support him and is forced to give him up for adoption so that he might have a better life.
Next, we are introduced to a happy young family moving to NYC for the father's new job as an architect. The mother has taken a job teaching kindergarten so she can stay close to their twin sons, Leonardo and Donatello. However, on the drive, the vehicle is crashed into and Leo and Donnie's parents are killed instantly.
We are then introduced to a person the narrator refers to as "a nobody" or something like that. The "nobody" has just been given a wonderful gift, but decides to throw the gift away simply because they do not want the responsibilities that come with it. They are shown shoving a small bundle into a dumpster in the alley before running. We are then introduced to Michelangelo, a newborn baby, who is quickly running out of time.
Lastly, we are introduced to Baron Draxum, a man who owns a small and failing orphanage. He manages to hear Mikey crying in the alley and rescues him, taking him to the hospital before bringing him to the orphanage later. At first, we are meant to believe that Draxum is just a grumpy old man yet essentially harmless, but we learn that the orphanage is a front for illegal science experiments, drug enhancements, and genetic experiments hidden beneath the building. Draxum begins experimenting on the four newest additions to his orphanage -- Raph, Donnie, Leo, and Mikey.
If I remember correctly, a few years later, grandpa Shō dies. Distraught by the loss of his last remaining family member, Lou Jitsu reflects on his life and his family. He chooses to visit "Draxum's Home for Little Lambs" on a whim and ends up meeting the four boys, who adore his films and idolize his characters. Lou decides to use his wealth and and connections to donate to charity, specifically choosing to renovate Draxum's Orphanage and provide funding for a rec center as well. Lou continues to donate to the orphanage and even goes so far as to invite all the kids on a tour to his film studio to watch how movies are made. With each visit, he falls more and more in love with the four boys and eventually decides to adopt them all, much to Bea M's disagreement. However, after meeting the boys and seeing the poverty they come from, she changes her mind.
There's a heck of a lot more after that, but this post is long enough so I think I'd stop there for now and ramble another time...

a/n: another mafia turtles fic w leo 🫣🫡 i'm not really active rn but i've had a few tmnt fics in my drafts so here this is anyway :)
hope you enjoy 💙
Your life long goal was to become the CEO of L/N express, your business in which you spend years working and succeeding in. However there was only one thing stopping you, a merger needed to happen. And it was with none other than your rival company, the hamato brothers.
Leonardo, to be precise.
Tumblr media
The music was soft, romantic as everyone danced with their partners. The smile on Donatello's face as he picked his partner up by the waist, Raphael teasing his S/O holding them securely by their hips and Michelangelo laughing his heart out with his lover.
Yours, however, sat on the stool sulking as he downed his whiskey.
Initially the vacation had been a good idea, everyone had been ridiculously stressed over the past couple days with the upcoming events. Being so close to the position you busted your ass for, was snatched straight out of your hands before you could even comprehend it. The only way forwards was to merge your business with the Hamato Clan and it had been the very last resort.
At first, Leonardo wasn't all that bad. In fact, you rather enjoyed his company. You came to realise and adore his presence, his humour and the way he spoke with you. But there was so much to learn about him and further you delved into his past, the more you realised there were secrets and hidden information.
The worst part was that in order for both business to be successful, you both had agreed to marry one another in order to please the board. Filled with middle aged old white men who believed a successful woman wasn't able to fulfil that position without the right man or whatever misogynistic bullshit they brewed. You didn't care, once you secured the CEO you'd have the power to get rid of the board altogether. There was no use for them whatsoever.
The decision wasn't an easy one but the more time spent with Leo, the more you got to know him. You could see the true version of himself that was kept hidden from the public eye and you were excited to see what else he hid under his tough exterior. You genuinely looked forward to spending time with him. You thought it would be okay, that the marriage would be a dream. That the two of you would conquer and devour the market, hand in hand.
But right now, however, you weren't so sure about that anymore.
Letting out a breath, you walked over to him nerves twisting in your stomach. He noticed by the corner of his eyes and motioned for the bartender to come by.
"Can I have two more of these?" Leo spoke gruffly to the young man who nodded with a smile and disappeared to make the drinks.
"You didn't have to do that" You whispered and for the first time that night, he looks at you. Those blue eyes a raging thunderstorm filled with every emotion in them. Yet you're not so sure which one is the most dominant.
"I may be angry at you but my respect doesn't waiver. That much should already be clear" He spoke and then turned his head, continuing whatever work he had on his phone.
Maybe this was a bad idea after all
"C'mon lovebirds, the next dance goes out to all the partners here! Hold them close and let the music wash all over you~" The DJ called out and your cheeks burned, awkwardly looking around at the couples. A part of you wanted to run away, to return to bed and forget this horrible night had ever occurred. Yet your partner stood, placing his phone in his blazer pocket and holding his hand out.
"Are you coming?" He answered curtly to which you rolled your eyes but accepted his hand. Surprisingly, he wasn't that bad of a dancer. You knew he was a ninja and therefore relatively light on his feet, but the way he held your body with expertise and his footwork was astonishing. You hadn't taken him for someone that cared for dancing, let alone even try to attempt it.
"I never knew you could waltzed" You tried to meet his eyes but they ignored yours, the obvious pain swirling in them from hours ago. When you had that argument
"You never asked" He replied bluntly, spinning you around with elegance and poise. This attitude was slowly starting to drive you insane, instead of being silent about his feelings he should just speak about them.
There was no way to do business with someone who shut off his emotions like a switch, how could you find common ground with him if you could barely remedy a simple argument?
"Why are you acting like such a.... tyrant?" You hissed while his figure stiffened up, his hands immediately at their side again. The warmth left your body and for a minute you regretted saying those words.
But then that moment ended, he needed to understand that in this partnership one person giving the other the cold shoulder without any necessary reason was completely childish and immature.
"Oh, a tyrant?" He barked, crossing his arms across his chest. His eyes flickered with an emotion but you hadn't the faintest clue what crossed them or what he was thinking. You could hardly understand him these days if you could barely manage past the incessant fighting day in and day out
"What is wrong with you Leonardo? I'm trying my hardest here" You were desperately reaching the end of your tether and while you knew you should control your temper, it wasn't fair for him to act anyway he pleased. Some days it felt like walking on eggshells around him. Other days, he seemed to avoid your presence altogether.
But there were those sweet days, the ones where he traced your body with gentle circles. Whispering the most heart warming promises, delivering a gentle kiss to your body. That was the Leo you loved. Not this one. Though even now that had come far and few between, it all felt like a business transaction to him. Perhaps that's simply what he thought of you
"The issue here is that I keep trying to tell you my side yet it seems you're spinning it in a different narrative, one that paints me out to be the bad guy-"
"I'm not, I just want you to see it in another perspective" You tried to reason but he was having none of it.
"See this is it. I don't care to see this in another light or point of view and as my potential partner, you should be able to respect those boundaries. You don't know the whole story, how could you possibly give information on something you know nothing on?" Leo seethed, stepping back away from. you.
"Hey guys, what's going on here?" Mikey tried to lighten the air but even his jokes couldn't put the foul mood Leo was in away.
"I was just leaving, good night" Leo looked at his youngest brother, turning away from you.
Like he always did.
"Y/N-" Mikey begins but you shake your head. "He doesn't want to listen to anyone. Not to you, not to me, not to his father. How can I be expected to work with such a... cold and distant man?" You scowled, shaking your head angrily at him.
"But if-" "I'm going to bed, don't let this ruin your night" You huffed, sending an apologetic smile to the turtle as you headed out. Knowing full well that nothing could be resolved if Leo didn't trust you enough. Deep down, a part of you didn't think you both could ever reach that point
•••
Tossing and turning, you probably managed to gather a handful of hours of sleep.
His words echoed through your body, leaving you angry and hurt. You couldn't help but recall what those people said to you about him. Everyone said he didn't have any regard for feelings, his mind was solely upon work. He seemed to breathe, eat and live to work. He couldn't go a day without checking in despite people employed for that very job. There wasn't a place of love for you in his life, he was Hamato Leonardo. An ice king at best. You couldn't melt away those steeled walls, you couldn't chip at his resolve. It was impossible.
Even so, somehow you'd manage to capture his attention. You had seen the other side of him, the funny and sweet guy that had somehow wrapped around your heart. The jokes he made, the way he pounced onto you when you teased him, the way he knew just what to say when you were stressed or having a bad day.
He certainly could pass for a poet, those sweet words whispered to you in the early dawn while his arms tightens gently around your waist. Cradling you as though you'd break in a million pieces. Holding you so close to his chest as if to mend all those broken parts of yourself.
That was the Leo you wanted, not this cold hearted beast.
The time read 5am and knowing you weren't going to get anymore sleep, you stood up and walked to the door. The great thing about the beach was that there was no one around, meaning you could enjoy the open land and the beautiful waves all by yourself.
The beach was beautiful undisturbed and untouched, and so was the sunrise with it's golden hues flicking just above sealine. Your eyes kept focus, watching the sky erupt into a volcano of sorts, golden red light bursting through the horizon eliminating the darkness. It was all so magical, the sun rays dancing upon your skin with the air kissing your cheeks. The tides were oddly calm, reflecting their light all about until you catch sight of something. Or rather someone
It seemed you weren't alone. Just above you was the staircase, giving a lovely view of the landscape overall. Debating internally, you wonder if you should cut your losses and run for the hills. No, you had poured far too much time and energy and your heart into this to fail. So you breathe in, composing yourself. Trying to get rid of your shaky nerves, it felt like you were talking to a mean horrible boss. Not your supposedly fiance.
Walking hesitantly up the stairs, you saw him. He didn't even flinch, already knowing whose presence was besides him just by the footsteps.
"Can we talk Leonardo?" You exhaled slowly, standing next to him. The woody cologne he had on smelt absolutely gorgeous, taking you to the night where he performed.... specific activities on you. It was going to be hard to ever get back to that level, if this fight could ever resolve itself.
"I have nothing to say" He replied bluntly, leaning against the banister overlooking the sea.
"Leo please-" "Enough" He sighed, rubbing a hand over his face. He could feel the anger bubble and rise within his stomach, poisoning his veins as it drifted further up his body.
"If you could just listen, I can help you. I want-" You began but he waved his hand in dismissal, positing towards the exit.
"Y/N please-" "But Leo-"
"Y/N, stop! Look you said it yourself, we're so similar. Controlling, in charge, a leader if you will. But this isn't something you can control. I will not have my personal affairs out for everyone to read, most specifically an issue which I have told you countless times you cannot help," He whirls around, fury ablaze in his eyes.
"This is becoming very improper of you Y/N, I came here to spend some time with you yet you wish to fix issues that are past the point of repairing. If you'll excuse me..." Leonardo glared as he stood to his full towering height, his knuckles pale as he tried to keep his temper in check. Yet it was proving to be a difficult challenge with every minute spent on this damn island. With a scoff, he turned on his heel but you had angrily called out again.
"You think this is about my control and my wish to boss you around?? I wouldn't have to get involved if you hadn't placed me there! Need I remind you Leonardo, it was you who got me wrapped into this mess when we decided on the marriage for our business. I will not work with bickering employees or a partner who refuses to work out their problems! I cannot have this affect my side of the business" You snapped, eyes fierce as they blazed into his skull.
But his demeanor was tougher, angrier and cruel.
"Call it what you will Y/N but my issues are not for you to handle nor get yourself stuck in. Do not question my work ethic or my job, I have never allowed any of my problems interfere with work. And it will continue to remain that way. It was not easy growing up with brothers who refused to follow down this path and with a father that always expected me to be the best. I have tried to steer you away from this conversation but it's completely futile, you are absolutely hellbent on information I'm simply not ready to give" His lips curled in a sneer and you had forgotten how intimidating he looked when he was his full height.
With those eyes as cold as ice, his lips set in a an unmoving frown you remember why people are so afraid of him. Why they say he cannot be helped, why he has no soul
Leo sighs, rubbing the space between his eyes to calm his nerves. For once, his body is filed with regret instead of frustrations.
"Maybe you're right, maybe we are simply too alike. This will never work and I was naive enough to have hope that you'd be different. Once this deal closes off, we are purely in a contract for the benefit of both our business. Nothing more" Leonardo uttered coldly, stepping away as he returned to his own bedroom. The echo of his footsteps left you cold and empty, the distance of the door slamming shook you back in the present time.
Had he just?....
He did
You stood silent, gulping down air but it felt like it never fully reached your lungs.

Fuck it, new AU time
Fargo Au
Tumblr media
THIS IS A TRUE STORY
The events depicted in this AU took place in New York throughout many years
At the request of the survivors, the names have been changed.
Out of respect for the dead, the rest has been told exactly as it occurred.
In this anthology fanfic based on TV series Fargo, each Part follows a different iteration of the TMNT cast who get involved with the murders investigations of important characters throughout New York City that drastically change the events of the shows or comics, with characters even having different roles. Along with seemingly unrelated crimes sometimes being connected in some way.
Basically each iteration has something different about them whether being a character from an iteration that wasn’t in said iteration appearing, a new criminal group(03) or a character’s role changing
Season 1(03)- In 2003, John Bishop passes through Manhattan and influences the community, including Scientist Baxter Stockman into a path of malice and violence to protect themselves at whatever the cost. Meanwhile, Deputy April O’Neil and vigilante Casey Jones team up to solve a series of murders they believe may be linked to Stockman and Bishop.
Season 2(IDW; City At War) - Season 2(IDW; City At War) - In 2019, Mutanimal members Sally Pride and Man Ray cover up Ray’s hit and run of the son of a crime family boss based out of Hell’s Kitchen. While brothers Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello and Michelangelo become entangled with the Hell’s Kitchen Mob, The Mutanimals and Foot Clan when the brothers are forced to investigate a triple homicide connected to the Hell’s Kitchen Mob and Foot Clan at a diner in Lower Manhattan when a Newscaster threatens to expose them to the public. Along with that, New York state trooper Lou Solverson and Richmond County officer Chris Bradford also investigates the diner murders and also find themselves getting dragged into and investigating plot involving the Foot Clan, The Turtles, Mutanimals, EPF and Baxter Stockman as it all grow into a City Wide massacre.
Season 3(2012) - After recent shortcomings and realization, Tiger Claw finds himself hunted down by the Foot Clan after quitting. Causing two members of the Foot, Fishface and Rahzar to come up with a plan to try and kill Tiger Claw with the help of couple Ray Stussy, a parole officer/foot member who was forced to join after witnessing a fight with the turtles and the Foot, and his new girlfriend Nikki Swango(Both returning characters from Fargo), an ex convict. However the plan backfires causing the deaths of a police chief and gang member, triggering a chain recent of events between the Foot, NYPD and the SoHo Yakuza. Along with that, a low ranking police officer in the NYPD, Lindsay Barker, and crime scene photographer Warren Stone try to figure everything out to prevent further bloodshed.
Season 4(Mutant Mayhem)- Mutant crook Hypno-Potamus(Formerly known as Mezmer Ron) accidentally stumbles upon a talent show set and finds himself skyrocketing into the entertainment industry. However he soons finds himself entangled in a gang war when he witnesses gang leader Superfly kill a distributor of his. Now a member of the Mutanimals against his will and also for the Liberty Mafia after being blackmailing by their boss, Ethan DeLuca, Hypno goes back and forth between the groups as he tries to find a way out, then deciding to con both sides of the war. Surely deceiving a psychopath(Superfly) and a narcissist(Ethan) can’t be too hard right?
Season 5(Rise) - In 2018, Baron Draxum kidnaps Leonardo Hamato to hopefully get him to join him. However the turtle makes it impossible, to where brainwashing him won’t work either. Draxum then tries to drag out Leo’s father Splinter, formerly known as Lou Jitsu, which fails as well. While Leo’s brothers deal with idiotic villains going after them, April hires John Bishop, a mysterious Special Agent with ties to the TBI(Texas Bureau of Investigation) and CIA and a person who escaped from Draxum’s lab years prior without trouble and temporarily dated the Battle Nexus Host, Big Mama, before she could get the chance to use him as a Battle Nexus Fighter. However, Bishop isn’t exactly who he appears to be, maybe not human at all, and he plans to rescue Leo while at the same time plotting to take Draxum out of the picture, permanently.

Ninja Turtles: A Green Mafia
A Shell of a Different Kind
A Ninja Turtle Mafia AU offers a thrilling and gritty reimagining of these iconic characters. Let's dive into the potential of this concept.
The Terrapin Family
* Leonardo: The pragmatic and ruthless boss. He's the calm, collected mastermind behind the family's operations.
* Donatello: The tech-savvy consigliere. He's the brains of the operation, handling intel, surveillance, and weapons development.
* Michelangelo: The charismatic enforcer. His charm and unpredictability make him a formidable opponent and a valuable asset.
* Raphael: The hot-headed muscle. His raw power and intimidation tactics are essential for maintaining control.
A Turf War with Mutant Enforcers
The Rival Gang: The Rat Pack
For an example let's introduce a formidable opponent: The Rat Pack, a rival mafia family led by a cunning and ruthless rat mutant named King Rat.
* Rat Pack Characteristics: This gang could be more technologically advanced, relying on cybernetic enhancements and hacking abilities to gain an edge. Their enforcers could be a mix of human and mutant rats, each with unique abilities.
* Territory: The Rat Pack could control a different part of the city, perhaps a more technologically advanced district.
Mutant Enforcers
* Turtle Allies: To counter the Rat Pack's mutant enforcers, the Turtles could recruit their own mutant allies. These could be creatures like a powerful alligator, a cunning fox, or a swift cheetah.
* Mutant Abilities: Each mutant enforcer should have unique abilities that complement their role. For example, the alligator could be a tank-like brute, while the fox could be a skilled assassin.
The Turf War
* Espionage and Sabotage: The war would start with a series of covert operations, including stealing information, sabotaging operations, and eliminating key figures.
* Showdown: As tensions escalate, the two gangs would engage in increasingly violent confrontations, culminating in a major battle for control of the city.
* Alliances and Betrayals: To gain an advantage, both sides might seek alliances with other criminal organizations or corrupt officials. Betrayals and double-crosses would be common.
* Civilian Casualties: The conflict would inevitably lead to civilian casualties, forcing the Turtles to grapple with the moral implications of their actions.
Potential Storylines
* A Secret Weapon: One side could develop a powerful new weapon or technology that could tip the scales in their favor.
* A Tragic Loss: A beloved character could be killed, forcing the surviving members to seek revenge.
* A Peace Treaty: After a long and bloody conflict, the two gangs might eventually be forced to negotiate a peace treaty, establishing a new balance of power.
The Strain of War on Turtle Relationships
The intense pressure and constant danger of a turf war would undoubtedly put a strain on any relationship, especially those involving the emotionally complex Turtles.
Emotional Toll
* Distraction and Neglect: The Turtles' focus on the war could lead to feelings of neglect and abandonment in their partners.
* Increased Stress and Tension: The constant stress of the conflict could create tension and arguments within relationships.
* Fear and Insecurity: The fear of losing a loved one to the violence could lead to feelings of insecurity and possessiveness.
Difficult Decisions
* Prioritizing Loyalty: The Turtles might be forced to choose between their loyalties to their family and their partners, leading to heart-wrenching decisions.
* Secrecy and Lies: To protect their loved ones, the Turtles might have to keep their involvement in the criminal underworld a secret, leading to feelings of betrayal and mistrust.
* Shared Danger: Some partners might become involved in the conflict, putting their lives at risk and creating additional stress for the Turtles.
A Stronger Bond Through Adversity
The crucible of a brutal turf war can be a catalyst for deepening the bonds between lovers.
Shared Experiences
* Mutual Support: Couples who weather the storm together often develop a profound sense of shared purpose and resilience.
* Open Communication: The need to rely on each other for emotional support can foster deeper levels of honesty and intimacy.
* Shared Dreams: Facing adversity together can bring couples closer as they dream of a future free from violence and fear.
Growth and Evolution
* Personal Development: The challenges of the war can force individuals to confront their fears and weaknesses, leading to personal growth.
* Mutual Respect: Witnessing each other's strength and courage can deepen feelings of admiration and respect.
* Unconditional Love: Experiencing the worst together can solidify a couple's commitment to each other and create an unbreakable bond.
Overcoming Obstacles
* Creative Problem Solving: Couples might find innovative ways to support each other, both emotionally and practically.
* Finding Joy: Despite the challenges, they can discover moments of joy and connection, strengthening their relationship.
* Building a Future: By working together to overcome adversity, they can create a stronger foundation for their future.
Heartbreak in the Underbelly
The harsh realities of a turf war can shatter even the strongest of bonds. Let's explore the depths of heartbreak for one of the Turtles.
The Loss of Love
* Grief and Isolation: The loss of a loved one can leave a Turtle feeling isolated and alone, even surrounded by their brothers.
* Anger and Blame: In their grief, a Turtle might lash out at their brothers, blaming them for their partner's death or for not being able to protect them.
* Withdrawal: The pain of loss can lead to a Turtle withdrawing from the world, becoming a shadow of their former self.
The Impact on the Brotherhood
* Shared Grief: The loss of a loved one affects the entire brotherhood, as they grapple with their own feelings of loss and guilt.
* Internal Conflict: The Turtles might disagree on how to cope with the loss, leading to tension and division within the group.
* Strengthened Bonds: Despite the pain, the shared experience of loss can also bring the Turtles closer together, forging an even stronger bond.
* A Path of Destruction: Overwhelmed by grief, a Turtle might embark on a reckless path of self-destruction, endangering themselves and their brothers.
* A Quest for Revenge: Driven by a desire for vengeance, a Turtle might seek out the person responsible for their partner's death, putting the entire team at risk.
* Finding Closure: With the support of their brothers, a Turtle might begin a journey of healing and recovery, eventually finding a way to move on.

I'm here for you nerding out about history, so: 4, 5, 9, 13, 29!
Oh boy, do I have a long post for you... One of these took up A LOT of time fact-checking and researching, I could do a power point presentation on it ;)
4) Favourite historical era?
The Italian Renaissance, hands down. Anyone who knows me, knows that I am such a fucking dweeb for the Renaissance. Specifically the 1400s in Florence, during the rise of The Medici. Say what you want about them, (yes they were corrupt and essentially a Renaissance version of a mafia family) but the good they did for Florence AND the preservation of ancient culture cannot be denied.
To be able to live during that time, when art and literature and philosophy was thriving. Where new ideas about love and spirituality were making their ways into the intelligentsia, I would have LOVED to witness that.
Thing is, I’d have to do it disguised as a man, because history is a bag of dicks, unfortunately. But just to be able to be a part of a symposium with Marsilio Ficino, Pico della Mirandola, and Lorenzo dei’ Medici and just listen to them discuss Plato and the ways of Platonic Love. To bear witness to Botticelli painting or Michelangelo sculpting. My sibling once told me I have a “Renaissance Face” (which was probably the best compliment they could have given me). If that could have gotten me an in, with these guys, even as a model, it would have been fine with me. Just to watch the masters at their craft.
I dunno, maybe I could have joined them (disguised as a man, of course), and share my own thoughts about philosophy and love and sacred bonds between people. Maybe talk about new ideas involving gender… who knows?
Not to mention, Florence also had a thriving underground queer scene during this time… so… do with that what you will.
Renaissance Florence… Sometime between 1450 and 1490.
5) Favourite weapon?
You know, as much as I love history, I really don’t care for the military stuff. In fact, I had to look up Ancient Roman weapons, because if I were to have a favourite weapon, it would be from the Roman Empire.
So, in my quick research of Roman weaponry, I remembered that the Eastern Roman Empire (or Byzantine Empire) had a fucking BADASS weapon that had everyone from the Crusaders to the Mongols quaking. They called it Greek Fire, and it was typically used during naval battles. What you would have, if a flame-thrower device attached to the front of your ship and Greek Fire would just come out from there. The precise recipe for Greek Fire has been lost to the ages, but you did not want to fuck with it.
What made Greek Fire especially horrifying was that it would continue to burn while in contact with water. You could not douse it. You just had to let it burn until it ran out. Think of that creepy bright green fire from Game Of Thrones. The one that they used for the Battle of Blackwater and that epic church explosion. That would be the closest thing to Greek Fire that I can think of. It was terrifying, amazing, and allowed Constantinople to remain a military powerhouse in the Mediterranean, despite constantly being threatened by neighbouring empires.
9) Favourite historical film?
I already answered this question in another ask. It’s La Vita E Bella (Life is Beautiful). I highly encourage everyone to watch this movie, but only when feeling emotionally stable because it has a VERY sad ending.
Here are some other historical movies I REALLY love:
The King’s Speech - Can’t stand the Monarchy, but GOD I love Colin Firth and he is AMAZING as King George VI.
The Young Victoria - Again… Do not like the Monarchy, but Emily Blunt is so charming, and this was such a sweet movie.
The Imitation Game - Made me seeth in fury over the injustice served to Alan Turing, but fucking Bumblebee Cabbagepatch was SO GOOD.
And again… SO many movies I need to watch… I mean Jesus.
13) Something random about some random historical person in a random era.
This random fact is about the Emperor Justinian and his Consort, the Empress Theodora. He changed a marriage law in order to be able to marry her.
Back in the Early days of the Eastern Roman Empire (or Byzantine Empire), around 525 CE, you weren’t allowed to marry beneath your class, and Theodora was not only a commoner, but she was an… an… actress! (cue shocked gasps and pearl clutching here). Mind you, she was also known as a prostitute, but that’s debatable. Anyway, Justinian created a law so that her status could be changed, and then changed another law, so that he could marry her. He was so in love with her, that he did not give any shits about what anyone had to say about their union.
And honestly, he could not have picked a better Consort. Theodora was smart, funny, and an all-around badass. She challenged him, matched him, and took charge when she needed to. She was the reason the Nika Revolts failed and the Emperor kept his throne. She cared for Justinian while he was fighting the Plague (yes, that Plague, it was around during Justinian’s time too).
God, I love them.
29) Great historical mystery you are interested in?
Oooo… This is another REALLY good question.
The first answer I came up with is a bit of a “cheat” amongst historians. A sorta of “of course you would pick that, everyone wants to know what happened there”, but I really don’t care. When I first heard about The Princes In The Tower, I was beyond fascinated by their story and the mystery surrounding them.
Ok, a bit of a backstory. Picture it. England, 1483. For the last several decades, the country has been ravaged by a civil war known as The Wars of The Roses. I will NOT go into this, because Christ we do not have time for that. All you need to know for this story is that the current monarch is Edward IV. He has MANY children, among which are two young sons (an heir and a spare). If he can keep hold of his reign for long enough, he is set to establish a new dynasty. Unfortunately for him, he dies in April after an unexpected illness (do with this what you will, could have been poison, could have been the Middle Ages where a paper cut could kill you).
Now, England did not really have a Law of Succession (that would come MUCH later, in 1701), a reigning monarch would have to hope that his vassals would follow who he deemed as heir and not stir any shit. For the most part, it worked out well, but there were a couple of instances where shenanigans took place (see: Empress Matilda and The Anarchy). ANYWAY, the heir to the British throne was Edward IV’s son, Edward V. Thing is, Edward’s 12. He’s a child, and not ready to take the throne. Before his death, Edward IV established that until the time of his son’s majority, the Kingdom would be ruled under a Regency, headed by his younger brother, Richard, Duke of Gloucester. Richard would henceforth be known as the Lord Protector (the most powerful guy in the Kingdom, basically).
Makes sense, right? Well, get ready for some shenanigans.
This is already getting WAY too long, so I’ll speed things up. Richard claims that the King isn’t safe with his current protectors (his maternal uncle, and his half-brother), so he has them arrested and executed and the King placed under his custody (for his protection). This causes the King’s mother, Elizabeth Woodville to go into sanctuary at Westminster Abbey. She takes her remaining children with her (including the spare, 9 year old Richard, Duke of York).
Up until this point, everyone is certain that the young King will be coronated as soon as he and Uncle Richard arrive in London. However, that does not happen. The coronation is postponed again, and again, and again. The young King, meanwhile, is sent to live in the Tower of London (which at that time served as a place where one would wait to be coronated). Here’s where things get a little dicey, see Uncle Richard claims his dearly departed brother was previously married before Elizabeth Woodville, thereby making any and all his children illegitimate. Thus making him the true heir to the throne. Around this time, Richard requested that the 9-year old Duke of York be sent as well to be protected in the Tower.
The last time anyone would see the two Princes would be in the summer of 1483. Richard is crowned King Richard III (of Shakespeare fame) and would go on to rule for a little while before dying at the Battle of Bosworth Field (where “A horse, a horse, my kingdom for a horse” comes from). Henry Tudor becomes King Henry VII and establishes the well-known Tudor dynasty.
The fate of the boys remains, to this day, unknown. There are many theories as to what happened. The most popular one being that they were smothered with a pillow and buried under a staircase in the Tower. In fact, a couple of centuries later, some bones were found in the tower and were assumed to be those of the two Princes. However, examinations in the 30s showed them to contain animal bones, along with the bones of two small children. No further testing was done, and the bones were re-buried. There have been petitions for there to be DNA testing involved, but Queen Elizabeth II refused to do so.
Who knows, maybe King Charlie III is just as curious as the rest of us, and will agree to exhume the bodies once more.
There are other theories and many pretenders that have popped up throughout history, but this post is already STUPID long, so I’ll leave it here
ASK ME HISTORICAL QUESTIONS! THIS WAS SO MUCH FUN!

Synopsis: The issue begins approximately two weeks after the events of City Fall Part 3. Karai is leading a group of Foot Clan ninja in delivering a shipment of equipment, when they are attacked by the Savate. The Savate have come in greater numbers, and the Foot are about to be finished off when Leonardo shows up with more Foot ninja. The Foot dispose of all but one Savate ninja, letting him go free to relay a message to Victor, the leader of the Savate, that the Foot Clan will tolerate no disobedience from the other criminal organizations.
April is visiting Casey in the hospital and they are video-chatting with Donatello and Michelangelo on a laptop. Donatello tells them about how they've all been looking for Leonardo and how Raphael is taking it pretty rough. Don also tells them Master Splinter is out on a mission with Old Hob and Slash. After the video call, Casey expresses his displeasure with being confined to a hospital bed. April reminds him that it's the best place for him at the moment, and that she wishes Leo was found just as much as everyone else because she knows the pain of losing someone, as she thought she had lost Casey when the Shredder injured him. The two kiss.
Raphael is attempting to beat information on the Foot out of a low-life thug outside the Skara Brae (one of the thugs from the TMNT 2012 Annual). The thug doesn't have any real information to give him, but does tell him about two corrupt cops who are being paid off by the Foot and the Savate, among other criminal organizations.
Victor and some Savate ninja have just finished off a group of Foot ninja. Marcello, an enforcer for the Italian Mafia arrives in a car to take Victor to a meeting of all the crime family bosses. They are meeting to discuss the recent escalating conflict between the Foot Clan and all the other families. The head of the Mafia, Antonio, voices his displeasure at the Savate's violent approach to dealing with the Foot. Victor says they have it handled when Marcello speaks out, causing Victor to slay him, to emphasize his point.
Shredder is on the rooftop of one of the Foot's hideouts falconing while Kitsune gardens while Leonardo and Karai report in. Leonardo tells him that their plan to launch a surprise ambush on the Savate worked, using Karai and some Foot as bait. Karai voices her displeasure about being used as bait. Kitsune learns that this was Leonardo's idea and not the Shredder's and is upset. As Karai and Leonardo are dismissed, Leonardo has a flashback to his previous life in Japan, seeing his mother and Master Splinter in his previous life as Hamato Yoshi, showing that the brainwashing has not been completely effective. Because of this, Shredder has had to forbid Leonardo from using lethal force in battle, as it may snap him out of the mind control put on him by Kitsune. A Foot ninja arrives with a package from the Savate for Shredder, containing a severed Foot ninja hand and a note that reads "WAR". Shredder tells Kitsune to hurry up and strengthen her hold on Leonardo, so that he may be effectively used during the coming battles. As long as Splinter and the Turtles live, Leonardo's mind control will not be one hundred percent.
Arnold Jones is brooding in front of the bathroom mirror. He thinks back on overhearing Angel say that he deserved to be hurt in Casey's place. In a fit of rage, he breaks the bathroom mirror and rips off his shirt, revealing his Purple Dragon tattoo from his gangbanging days.
Splinter enters a house with a Purple Dragon gang sign on it. Inside is Hob, in a very well-stocked room of guns and ammunition. Splinter tells him that if Hob helps them resuce Leonardo, he will agree to Hob's proposal and team-up with him and Slash. Hob agrees, on the condition that Splinter help him with something beforehand.
Raphael has tracked down the two corrupt cops (also from the 2012 TMNT Annual). Raphael is about to start trying to beat more information out of them when Donatello and Michelangelo show up and tell him he's out of control. Raphael is about to attack Donatello for stopping him when Michelangelo tells him to knock it off. Raphael says he was trying so hard to find Leonardo because he blames the whole situation on himself. They decide that if they really want to find Leonardo, they need to start acting like the team he trained them to be.
Shredder stands on a rooftop with Leonardo, Karai, and Alopex, scoping out the Savate headquarters and planning their attack. Shredder and Leonardo will lead the first wave of attack, and Karai and Alopex will lead the second wave and act as a clean-up crew. As they board a helicopter back to the Foot's hideout, Alopex asks Karai if she's upset at being upstaged by Leonardo. Karai says the wise warrior never overestimates their importance, but also always has a back-up plan.
The final scene shows Bebop and Rocksteady in the midst of mutating into their warthog and rhinoceros hybrid forms.

Hello hello! Related to my last several posts! I will be making a TMNT Rise! Villian au rp! Raphael, and Michelangelo so far have been taken!
Essentially, After Mikey messes up on a simple grab-and-go 'mission' splinter acts out and well, harms him. After witnessing this Raphael snaps and hurts splinter really badly, then gathers his brothers and gets the hell out. This is the breaking point for the turtles and they turn to villiany after never being good enough heroes. Though, Angie(Michelangelo) seems to take it more of a game to play! Queen of the castle, sitting atop her throne with his sadistic big brotyers watching over New York City, easily becoming the highest on the food chain of a mafia like game. Even scarier than Big Mama and with it, comes the Queen, Angie, a ruler of the city. A tower theyd taken over easily. Leo and Donnie easily taking Roles of protection and science along the side of their eldest brother Raphael.
If interested! Friend me at MikeyV#4729 on discord!

EL PADRINO I, II, III

The Famiglia pt. 1
(I am going to try and make this as coherent as possible. I know the FBI agent behind my laptop is tripping balls right now at the sheer amount of sus tabs I have open)
Mafia rules emphasize submission to the authority of superiors, loyalty to organization members, disciplined obedience to orders, and secrecy. The business of organized crime shifts according to the lucrativeness of markets that can be tapped by both legitimate and illegitimate activities. The amorphous quality of its structure makes organized crime difficult for governments to counter. Whether the operation is nominally legitimate or thoroughly illegitimate, organized crime gives priority to the maximization of profit without concern for conformity to the law.
The term "Mafia" refers to the various Families or groups of gangsters involved in organized crime. Most of these Mafia Families can trace their heritage back to Italy, predominantly Sicily. The Mafia is broadly divided into 5 groups based on the region where they operate or where they originated from; all the major Mafia gangs are involved in criminal enterprises all over the world and have bases in many nations. Bianca and her family are a part of the Camorra Mafia, which originated in the region of Campania, whose capital is Naples. It's believed to be one of the oldest and largest criminal organizations in Italy, theorized to be dating to the 17th century. Each regional mafia is made up of various families or gangs; the number may range from a few to hundreds, depending on the region. The Camorra is considered by the Italian Government to be the most violent, murderous, and feared criminal organization in Italy, with the FBI considering the Camorra to be among “the most powerful, technologically advanced, well-equipped, sophisticated and dangerous crime syndicates in the world” with a semi-militarized operation. (Within the Jojo world, I like to think this is due to the sheer amount of Stands that are utilized in the Families)
Each family has separate business dealings and tends to try and stay out of each other's way, though sometimes their business enterprises may intermingle to an extent, depending on their proximity to each other and the nature of the business; often times there are arranged marriages between mafia families so as not only benefit the business but to avoid conflict as well.
While most families have similar structures, there can be slight differences. The leader of each family is the Boss or the Don, the one who made all major decisions and whose authority is absolute- the Don is judge, jury, and can be executioner as well; this is Bianca. Beneath the Don is the Underboss, the second in command; in some families, the Underboss is trained to succeed the Don in the event of Don's death or retirement, especially if there are no heirs; in this case, Bianca's Underboss is Dean Zeppeli- her second cousin.
Between the Don and the Underboss is the Consigliere; he acts as an adviser to the Don and makes impartial decisions based upon fairness and for the good of the family rather than on personal vendettas or feelings. The Consigliere is the counselor and advisor to the boss, a trusted friend, and confidant- for Bianca, her Consigliere is Raphael Scacci, who also served her grandfather in such a capacity and often looked after her during adolescence; he is also the family lawyer, as well as handles the Zeppeli's legal business interests.
Beneath the Underboss are the Capos- those lieutenants who lead their own section of the family, which is made up of soldiers. The number of Capos varies between families as their number depends on the overall size of the family itself. The Capos run their own family territory but must follow the limitations and guidelines created by the Don, as well as pay him (or her) a cut of their profits. Capos can be nominated by the Underboss but are usually chosen by the Don. There are three Capos under Bianca: Leonardo Panello, Michelangelo Pomodori, and Donatello Ricotti; these three handle the illegal business.
Below the Capos are the soldiers, the enforcers of the family who have proved themselves and command respect from associates below them, despite being the lowest official mafia members. They do the dirty work and are the ones more often than not the ones arrested by the police, who are then bailed out either legally or by bribes. At the bottom are the associates, who are not actual members of the mafia but people who are involved in the criminal enterprise in one form or another- the mafia works through them. They may be burglars, assassins, lawyers, the police and judges, and even politicians who are on the mafia's payroll.
