Bengiyo's Queer Cinema Syllabus

For those of you who don’t know, I decided to run the gauntlet of @bengiyo’s queer cinema syllabus, which is comprised of 9 units. I have completed four of the units (here is my queer cinema syllabus round up post with all the films I’ve watched and written about so far). It is time for me to make my way through Unit 5- Lesbians, which includes the following films: The Incredibly True Adventure of Two Girls in Love (1995), Bound (1996), Water Lilies (2007)[finally got my hands on this one but I still need to watch it], Saving Face (2004), D.E.B.S. (2004), Set It Off (1996), The Handmaiden (2016), Carol (2015), Imagine Me and You (2005), Two of Us (2019), Rafiki (2018), and The Color Purple (1985). 

Today I will be watching

Two of Us (2019) dir. Filippo Meneghetti

Summary: Pensioners Nina and Madeleine have hidden their deep and passionate love for many decades, but their bond is put to the test when they are suddenly unable to move freely between each other's apartments.

Cast:  -Barbara Sukowa as Nina Dorn -Martine Chevallier as Madeleine Girard -Lea Drucker as Anne __ I really enjoyed this. It definitely had a pretty slow pace to it overall though they somehow managed to pack a lot of shit in it. I think I was most impressed by the use of sound in this film. They relied so heavily on the clocks and the knocking and the loud noises to tell and support the story they are telling. And I really appreciated that choice since for most of the film Mado has her words removed from her because of her stroke.

I really loved how strongly Nina’s desperation to be with Mado radiated out of the screen. She was driven to do some absolutely absurd things like beat the shit out of Mado’s car for the chance to get Muriel in trouble and get her own access to Mado. It was interesting to me narratively that the fact that Mado had not come out to her children was the biggest driving factor behind Nina’s need to sneak around, to find excuses, to steal opportunities and act in increasingly ridiculous manners in order to take care of the woman that she loved. Who was inarguably improving every day that Nina was around to take care of her, and regressing the further and further she physically got from Nina. 

And I think Mado’s fear at the beginning of admitting her queerness and her desire to move was a really good set up for understanding how her children were going to react when they found out, and that while it does make sense that Nina is frustrated and believes that people will not care about their sexuality, Mado’s hesitation to come out to her children is incredibly justified. Because we do see how her daughter reacts to finding Mado and Nina in bed together, and it is to literally lock Nina out, to move her mother to a home where she is overmedicated because she is so stressed out being away from Nina.

I love how clearly Mado is able to express her desires and how vehemently the people around her ignore it all because they feel like they know what is best for her. She walks her ass over to Nina’s apartment and bangs on the door until she opens it where she promptly collapses in to her arms, and her daughter sees this and drags her away and back in to her apartment. Mado on her fucking knees starts packing all her shit into a bag because her daughter is right she does want to travel and her daughter pulling the trunk away from her and unpacking everything. And listen, I’m not saying that a woman who had a stroke that recently should be moving to Rome with her partner, but I do think at that point a conversation is warranted around what Mado actually wants. 

While it was sad that Muriel and her son broke in to Nina’s apartment and stole the stuff she was saving for travel to Rome, I do appreciate that the end of this film is simply just Mado and Nina dancing together without music in Nina’s apartment, shutting out the world and even Mado’s own daughter because all they need to be happy is each other.

I will say one thing, and forgive me my stupidity if this is an obvious thing that I just didn’t understand but I was so interested to figure out what happened to the little girl at the beginning, the one who disappeared during hide and seek, and then sinking under the water, and being pulled out by Nina and then waking up from a dream. I couldn’t tell how much of that was like an old and genuine trauma or something else, I think I’m landing on some type of metaphor for Mado drowning without Nina there. 

Favorite Moment

My favorite moment of the film was the way Mado smiled to herself while her daughter and grandson flipped through pictures of a trip to Rome and talked about how one of the photos had someone in it that looked like Nina. I think there are so many little moments of quiet love throughout the film that I really enjoyed.

Not a quote actually, but the absence of one. Mado is playing Bingo and remembers Nina’s phone number and manages to find a phone and calls her and though she doesn’t say anything Nina knows who is calling and it enables Mado’s rescue.

I enjoyed it, and I’m really happy to see older lesbians in film. I do not know how memorable of a film it will be to me though.

Do you have any bjd/hobby dreams? I have quite a few, and honestly, I was not expecting those dreams to actually be fulfilled, considering the inconvenience of buying some of the dolls that I have always liked.

So I am over the moon that, slowly over the course of the last two decades, I'm able to fulfill some of those hobby dreams.

Rewind more than a decade back (eighteen years to be exact). Volks' F-28 was my favorite sculpt of theirs at the time (until now actually), and I wanted two of them as twins.

It was a pipe dream, then. I didn't have the means to get one, let alone two. It was nearly impossible unless you have a proxy or contact in Japan, or you know how to buy from Y!Japan auction using international shopping sites. Almost improbable without a credit card too.

So that sculpt has always been in my wishlist. Then a few years down the line, the sculpt was discontinued from all the sumika on 2013, 2015 for Mado and Sato. F-28 was renamed or changed to F-16 if I remember correctly, and the F-16 was then discontinued on 2019. They are one of the most popular Volks sculpts so I was thinking it wouldn't be hard to get one secondhand - though I always had no money for dolls during the times I see that sculpt for sale as sometimes they are priced twice to thrice the original cost. Then I went on hiatus. The F-16 has always been on my mind and my list of grails, but I wasn't really expecting to be able to get one at the point I returned back to the hobby - they were also not in fashion anymore anyway (at least, the look and the size - 60-65cm lanky boys).

Then I stumbled upon one for a good price in Mercari in 2023, and thanks to JP-based friends, was able to get that one. I wanted another to complete the "twins concept" but at this point I was happy to have one - and so I was planning to shell the "twin" character of Leto using a sculpt that looked similar instead (Volks' School A).

Fast forward to 2025, and a friend decided to sell one of her F-16s, and well. Now I have my F-16 twins.🥹❤️

Sorry that's a lot of text for an unboxing post.😂 Onwards to the photos!

This one came with an artist faceup (more photos of the faceup here and here). The artist's CoA is also included. The face itself was blushed to match recent NS skin tone of Volks. The headcap is a little mellowed and is actually the actual color of the head. But anyway.

Week 4&5 - Field Trip to National Gallery Singapore + Analyse Artistic Traditions and Lineages

We had a field trip to the National Gallery and here are some of the paintings I found most interesting:

I found this painting to be the most interesting and talked about it during class:

The reason being how they chose to use a vertical scroll to paint this scenery instead of the typical horizontal landscape canvas. I thought this was extremely smart as it further elongates the painting, highlighting the depth and showing the beautiful cityscape. 

However, upon feedback from our lecturer, our mistake was that we focused too much on analyzing the materials used in the painting instead of the context and history of the painting. 

We should first start with context, give reasons on why materials are used and how the painting is composed. Then, historical facts can be used to back up the points and end with a conclusion. Sometimes it can also end with a question like if this is the right way to communicate the context.

Other than gallery artworks, I feel that now I’m more clear on how to analyse designs too, especially abstract ones. As for our studio work, we will be designing more abstractly. We were told not to illustrate directly (e.g. illustrating food for food fest). This is my first time designing abstractly so I do find it challenging. The project is definitely pushing me out of my comfort zone and design boundaries though.

Chronos nieubłaganie rządzi naszą rzeczywistością. Z powodów prywatnych, które były z kategorii tych milszych, opuściłem jeden wpis z tej comiesięcznej refleksji nad przesłuchaną muzyką, świadomie lub mniej. Choć zawsze takie nadrabianie zaległych zadań stawia większy opór mentalny, to postaram się szeroko opisać co chwyciło moje ucho tej kopy dni.

Kwiecień

Two Steps from Hell - Unleashed (full album) Ten miesiąc mógłbym nazwać odświeżaniem muzyki epickiej. Gatunek ten, z powodu swojej genezy w oprawie zwiastunów filmowych, nadal jest zaniedbywalnym. Ci, którzy zdążyli się już nią zachwycić, wiedzą jak bardzo uzależniające może być słuchanie pompatycznych utworów z pełnym orkiestralnym i chóralnym instrumentarium. Pewnie każdy kto ostatnio był w kinie na obrazie o superbohaterach, choć nawet nieświadomie, doświadczył tej energii wylewającej się ze ścieżki audio. Najsłynniejszym zespołem, a dokładnie duetem producenckim, tworzącym takie perełki był "Two Steps from Hell". Był, bo niestety początkiem kwietnia ogłosili, że projekt po prawie dwóch dekadach działalności zostaje rozwiązane. Nie oznacza to jednak braku dobrej muzyki od kompozytorów - postanowili zająć się karierą solową. Już dziesięć dni po rozstaniu, Nick Phoenix podzielił się swoim nowym krążkiem "The Heart Of Ocean", utrzymanym w podobnej co dawniejsze stylistyce. Jednak jako tribute i moje najsilniejsze wspomnienie z twórczością TSFH będzie album z 2017, który maltretowałem podczas uczenia się do sesji egzaminacyjnej na studiach. Oczywiście polecam każdy ich krążek, choć mi najbardziej podchodzą te nowsze, dodające elementy elektroniczne - Dragon (2019), oraz Myth (2022).

Christopher Tin - Baba Yetu + Tekst o Gaming Concert w Krakowie Nie uciekając daleko od niszy gatunkowej przejdę do gier. W tekście wrzuconym już na łamach tego bloga wspominałem, że miałem wypad z kolegami i ich znajomymi do Krakowa by posłuchać nieco muzyki z gier. Sam koncert bardzo mile wspominam i z tego powodu nie mogło zabraknąć tego krótkiego akapitu w podsumowaniu. Za dekorację notki o tym wypadzie niech posłuży kultowy już motyw przewodni gry Civilisation IV, którym jest "Baba Yetu". Skomponowana w 2005 roku aranżacja modlitwy Ojcze Nasz w języku suahili, jako pierwszy utwór do gry, uzyskała nagrodę Grammy. Pieśń pojawiła się też na jego debiutanckim albumie z 2009 roku "Calling All Dawns". Z niej polecam również "Mado Kara Mieru" złożone z pięciu haiku, oraz polski akcent "Hymn Do Trójcy Świętej" (choć niestety nie śpiewa tego polska sopranistka i przez to wychodzi ciut gorzej). Wracając do elektronicznej rozrywki, to na poznanie większej liczby utworów, które były zagrane przez orkiestrę i chór, zapraszam do wspomnianego tekstu mojego autorstwa. Dzielę się też opinią na temat całości oprawy wydarzenia.

Aesop Rock - Shrunk Ezop, czyli jeden z pierwszych bajkopisarzy, które to utwory posiadają morał nie tylko skierowany dla dzieci, to bardzo dobry pseudonim dla rapera. W szczególności takiego, który kocha story-telling. Choć moja znajomość tego Nowojorskiego artysty jest zerowa, to chciałbym podrzucić tutaj jeden. Utwór polecony mi przez kolegę strasznie wpadł mi w gust, że nie mogłem nie zostawić choć jednej o nim notatki. Jest to złożony w bogate metafory opis spotkania się z psychologiem w trzech częściach - recepcji, poczekalni i wizyty. Jest zawarty w albumie "The Impossible Kid" z 2016 i z tego co mogę z pierwszego przesłuchu powiedzieć, to że klimat beatów jest niesamowity. Co do tekstów, to poza wspomnianym jeszcze nie popatrzyłem, ale to muszę zdecydowanie nadrobić.

A Plague Tale: Requiem OST - Main Theme "Takie rzeczy nie powinny się przydarzać dzieciom". Tak podsumował mój kolega tą grę, a raczej obie części serii "The Plague Tale". Dowiadujemy się tam o losach młodego rodzeństwa, które żyjąc w XIV Francji, walczy o przetrwanie z czarną ospą, wojną stuletnią i wszystkim co najgorsze. Nie miałem okazji samemu zapoznać się z tymi produkcjami, ale kumpel dość chwalił sobie fabułę i ogólny klimat. Przesłał mi też piękny motyw przewodny drugiej części, który ciekawie łączy chorał i takie bardziej folklorowe akcenty.

Kristina - Horehronie Była Eurowizja. W tym roku nie śledziłem ani minuty tego konkursu. Nie z powodu bojkotowania występu Izraela, czy jakiś innych wyższych celów. Po prostu przeleciał mi tak cały mimo uszu. Choć główny konkurs był początkiem maja, to wiele informacji i rodzimy konkurs był w kwietniu. Ten też obył się dla mnie bez echa, choć niby słyszałem, że jakaś Luna nas reprezentowała, jednak nie w finale. Po dwunastu latach nadal nie mieliśmy okazji jednak usłyszeć reprezentacji Słowacji. Wspominam o tym tylko dla tego, że co jakiś czas nachodzi mnie myśl o ich występie z 2010 roku i utworze chwalącym Dolinę Górnego Hronu (Horehronie). Region mieści się koło Bańskiej Bystrzycy i obejmuje fragment Rudaw Słowackich, gór na południe od Niżnych Tatr i południowy wschód od Wielkiej Fatry.

EIGHTY-SIX - EIGHTY-SIX, EIGHTY-SIX - Shin Kolejna polecanka od kolegi. Tym razem z anime, bazującego na mandze o tej samej nazwie. Nie miałem przyjemności oglądać tego serialu, więc wiele się nie wypowiem. Koledze dość się podobało. Podrzucił mi dwa kawałki, które bardzo ciekawie naznaczały klimat takiego heroizmu, w szczególności używając orkiestralnych instrumentów. Jednak fragmenty takich zakłóceń elektronicznych i perkusja dodają odrobiny energii i agresji. Fragmentami pianino pokazuje takie delikatniejsze oblicze i elegancję. Słowem bardzo ciekawe OST autorstwa Hiroyuki Sawano i Kohta Yamamoto.

PS Podrzucam jeszcze dwa świetne kawałki z gry NieR: Replikant z polecenia kolegi. Nie mam siły na jakikolwiek opis, a ten mógłby być nawet zbędny.

Kessoku Band - This Band, SICK HACK - Watashi Dake Yuurei (ワタシダケユウレイ) + "Notatka o "Bocchi the rock!"

Zdecydowanie nie miałem czasu przez miesiąc powszechnych popołudniowych nabożeństw do Matki Bożej. Nie, że na majówki chodziłem, ale akurat tak wypadły inne rzeczy w tą kartkę w kalendarzu. Niemniej jednak udało mi się przeczytać parę książek, oraz w jednym posiedzeniu przegryźć się przez jednosezonowe anime "Bocchi the rock!". Bardzo uroczy serial o bardzo specyficznej protagonistce i miłości do muzyki był długo na moim radarze. Pierwszy raz o nim usłyszałem od kolegów, a lata później przypomniał mi o nim YouTube, który polecił mi klip z tą właśnie piosenką. Oprócz tego, że jest bardzo solidna, to animacja została też wykonana z dbałością o szczegóły. Więc, może tak jak samego albumu bez kontekstu raczej bym nie polecał, choć dla fanów gatunku będzie naprawdę przyjemny, tak anime warto spróbować. W linkach zostawiam jeszcze jeden utwór, który nie jest zespołu głównej bohaterki. Znaczy, żaden nie jest, bo są to fikcyjne grupy muzyczne, ale wiadomo o co chodzi. Jednak nie mógłbym tak bez słowa przejść nad kawałkiem, który katowałem przez bity tydzień. A, no i zostawiam też odnośnik do mojej notki na temat "Bocchi… ".

Aliens Expanded: Original Documentary Soundtrack Chyba już dawno porzuciłem koncept dzielenia się tylko jednym utworem w ramach tej serii. Moim modem słuchania jest jedzenie albumów nad single. Temu też łatwiej polecać mi te zebrane w jedną całość kawałki. Często przecież też mocniej wchodzą, gdy są ułożone w jakieś kolejności, a taka na krążku często to zapewnia automatycznie. Choć jeżeli ktoś nie ma czasu, to warto choć pierwszą piosenkę, czy dzieło doprowadzić do końca na odtwarzaczu. Tutaj jest to tegoroczna ścieżka dźwiękowa do filmu dokumentalnego z produkcji filmu "Obcy" z roku 1986 od Jamesa Camerona. Natrafiłem na nią przypadkowo, bo śledzę artystę o pseudonimie "LukHash", a ten autorem otwierającej ścieżki. Dziewięć przepełnionych syntezatorami utworów, każdy od innego twórcy, jest przez to dość różnorodnych choć jednocześnie spójnych. Gatunkowo to jest "synthwave", czyli taki list miłosny to retrofuturyzmu muzycznego. Gdy jest ktoś zainteresowany, to odsyłam do wydawnictwa "NewRetroWave Records", które zbiera taki klimat. Jednocześnie przypomina mi się, choć z innym odcieniem, to ścieżka do gry "Furi".

Kendrick Lamar - euphoria Nie ma choć jednej osoby, która by nie interesowała się muzyką, a nie słyszałaby o ostatniej sprzeczce raperów Kendricka Lamara oraz Drake'a. Choć słowo "sprzeczka" jest tutaj użyte nie na miejscu, bo to pełnoskalowa wojna, która nie bierze jeńców. Z pomocą kolegi, który jest fanem K-Dota, dowiedziałem się mniej więcej na czym polega majowa odsłona konfliktu. Mogę powiedzieć, że jestem tutaj jednostronny, bo przesłuchałem tylko dissy skierowane w stronę Drake'a, bez jego odpowiedzi. Tutaj oczywiście uprzedzę, że jest to dość brutalny czarny amerykański rap, więc nie dla każdego. Warto jednak odnotować, że trzy utwory Kendricka były w pierwszej piętnastce głównej listy przebojów Billbord Hot 100, a to jest już coś. Zresztą przez dwa tygodnie ostatni "Not Like Us" był na pierwszym miejscu. Najmocniejszym zarzutem od strony Lamara, jest to, że Kendrick jest pedofilem i manipulatorem, a do tworzenia utworów używa AI oraz ghostwriterów. A no i dodatkowo, że ma jeszcze porzuconego syna z cudzego łoża. Mocne, ale na przestrzeni paru utworów jest budowane i złość z laureata Nagrody Pulitzera powoli kipi. Muzycznie w szczególności bardzo wpada mi w ucho "Euphoria" z jego trzema zmianami beatów w trakcie sześciu minut. A gdy ktoś chce się dowiedzieć kontekstu tej rap-batalii na najcięższe działa, to powstało wiele artykułów i filmów, więc nie ma co się powtarzać.

Hades II - Coral Crown Ostatnio minęło nam święto. Nie myślę o Bożym Ciele, choć długi weekend był przeze mnie wyczekiwany. Bardziej jednak społeczność graczy cieszyła się z opublikowania Early Accessu tytułu Hades II. Niezależne studio Supergiant Games cieszy się bardzo dużym szacunkiem. Ich pierwszą grą był Bastion wydany ponad dekadę temu. Późniejsze "Transistor" (urzekający mnie klimatem, choć krótki i czasami niedopracowany), "Pyre" (nie grałem niestety) przyciągnęły fanów ciekawą atmosferą. To jednak "Hades", gra o bogach chtonicznych starożytnej Grecji, utrzymana w stylistyce będącej trademarkiem firmy. W tym rouge-like-u bardzo wyróżnia się bogata historia, która jest niecodziennością gatunku, a tu jest wykonana fenomenalna. Dla mnie obok tego najmocniej klimat tworzy niezastąpiony Darren Korb z jego ścieżką dźwiękową. Pracował przy każdej z produkcji, tak więc nie mogło go też zabraknąć przy sequelu. Ten z kolei, choć jeszcze nie wykończony, to zdobi moją bibliotekę na Steamie. Mam już parę godzin w ten niepełnej wersji gry i już jestem zadowolony. Z warstwy dźwiękowej OST, albo jakaś jego część, już jest dostępna oficjalnie na internecie. Pozwoliłem sobie wybrać piosenkę (bo muzyka z poziomów jest długa, choć ciekawa), którą ponoć śpiewają syreny. Nie przesłuchiwałem albumu jakoś szerzej, by nie robić sobie spoilerów atmosfery, więc wam zostawiam do odkrycia resztę.

Wiślanie 69 ‎– Skąd My Się Znamy, Polanie - Polanie, Wawele - Zostań z nami melodio Kawałek polskiego big-beatu, czyli utworów z końcówki lat 60', to nisza, do której czasem wracam. W szczególności, kiedy nadmiernie mi uwierają bardziej współczesne nuty. Zespołów, które wydawały tylko jeden album powstawało wiele. Nie był to chyba też okres, kiedy takie wydawnictwa były tak na piedestale jak obecnie te parę utworów spięte jedną nazwą i fizycznym nośnikiem. Jednak te winyle, które powstawały, teraz albo są zapomniane, albo białymi krukami. Dlatego ja jestem wdzięczny wszystkim ludziom, którzy zgrywają swoje kolekcje i udostępniają na serwisach. Dla mnie jest to często jedyna możliwość poznania tego, czy tamtego zespołu. Tej czy tamtej piosenki. Nigdy nie słyszałbym przez to o tak efemerycznych grupach jak "Wiślanie 69", czy "Polanie". Oba żyły niecałe pięć lat, co jest praktycznie nic. Jednak zostawiły swoją muzykę, którą możemy na nowo odkrywać i odrobinę próbować odwzorowywać w myśli barwną stylistykę tamtejszej sceny muzycznej, tamtejszego szarego świata. W propozycji dla każdego zespołu podaję jeden album. Wawele co prawda byli już z tej ciut bardziej znanej szufladki, ale natrafiłem na nich pierwszy raz stosunkowo niedawno.

Night Verses - Every Sound Has A Color In The Valley Of Night Oj bardzo mocno uderzają o te gitary. Jest to album progresywno-rocko-metalowy (nie umiem określać takich utworów), którego pierwsza część została wrzucona jeszcze we wrześniu ubiegłego roku. Jest bardzo różnorodny na całej długości, więc każdy raczej znajdzie coś dla siebie. Są i spokojniejsze kawałki i te mocniejsze. Mi jednak najbardziej podeszły pierwsze dwa utwory, które umiejętnie łączą taki post-rock z metalem, choć dla dynamiki są też wyciszenia. Mi troszkę przypomniały taką ścieżkę dźwiękową do gry Doom.

Ridiculon - The End Is Nigh: OST Get classical-blasted duh. Ścieżka dźwiękowa do tej piekielnie trudnej platformówki, to przearanżowane motywy z muzyki klasycznej przywołujące uczucie niepokoju i wiążące się tematycznie z końcem świata. Produkcję można nazwać spadkobiercą słynnej, wydanej siedem lat wcześniej gry "Super Meat Boy" (2010). Choć lubię arcade'owe wyzwania, to tutaj jednak przyciągnęła mnie muzyka. Fanem muzyki poważnej byłem od zawsze, choć po moich polecanych tego nie widać. A tutaj czego nie mamy: Saint-Saëns, Satie, Dvořák, Czajkowski, Brahms, Grieg, Korsakow, Liszt, czy Musorgski. Istna śmietanka romantyzmu. Nie trzeba tutaj nic więcej dodawać.

Whettman Chelmets - A New Place Gdybym miał wziąć ze sobą pięć albumów na zachowanie przed globalnym kataklizmem. Ten prawdopodobnie byłby jednym z nich. Nie z powodu artysty - nie znam go kompletnie. Nie z powodu jakości albumu, czy istotności dla muzyki. Bardziej dla tego, że to jest to ciekawy przykład co powinno być ambientem, w kontraście do tego co można znaleźć losowo na YT pod tą nazwą. Co śmieszniejsze to album ten znalazłem też losowo, ale na Bandcampie. Dla mnie ambient to muzyka atmosferyczna, muzyka klimatu, muzyka "cichych detali" - takich na jakie wskazuje ten mały netlabel. Idealny temat do zastanowienia się nad Brianem Eno, nad albumem "Harmony in Ultraviolet", nad Global Communication oraz nad tym jak głośna cisza może być, gdy nie jest ozdobiona takim meblem muzycznym. Na zakończenie całego tekstu mogę zapowiedzieć czego będę przesłuchiwał przez następny miesiąc. Nieczęsto wie się co nadchodzące dni przyniosą, w szczególności w takiej materii jak słuchanie muzyki. To odchamianie się kulturalne, w moim przypadku jest często bardzo losowe. Jednak po paru miesiącach oczekiwań mój przyjaciel Toma400, wrzucił na swojego bloga swoje podsumowanie najciekawszych albumów poznanych w ubiegłym roku. Zaznaczam, że w większości są to dźwięki mocniejsze, czyli rasowego metalu i industrialu. Jeżeli kogoś to nie przeraża, to szczerze zapraszam, bo kuratela kolegi w tej niszy jest godna zaufania. Dla mnie osobiście jest to też sposób na wyrwanie się z kręgu kategorii dźwiękowych, w które jestem zanurzony na co dzień i poznanie czegoś diametralnie innego. Z mojej strony to by było na tyle. Do usłyszenia za kilka tygodni, bym mógł drobnym tekstem zaznaczyć upływający czas. W międzyczasie spróbuję poprawić sobie notowanie przesłuchanych delicji oraz usprawnię system dowiadywania się o ciekawych kawałkach tudzież albumach.

PS przesłuchajcie sobie coś od Windows96 - brazylijskiego autora varporwave. Nie mam już siły na pisanie tego tekstu, a chciałem jeszcze o nim wspomnieć. Może być na przykład wydawnictwo z tego miesiąca, czyli to: Windows96- Yes Da Da Da

Le Château Morillon est situé sur la petite commune de Campugnan, au nord du Blayais et à 50 kilomètres de Bordeaux. Ils convertissent immédiatement le vignoble à l’agriculture biologique qui est alors aussi un domaine pionnier dans le Blayais.

Château Morillon is located in the small town of Campugnan, north of Blayais and 50 kilometers from Bordeaux. It is a huge wine property of more than 35 hectares of land nestled in green landscapes made up of meadows and forests. The estate has been cultivating 20 hectares of certified organic vineyards since 2007 (conversion in 2004). The grape varieties grown are Merlot, Cabernet-Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and in recent years Malbec and Marselan have been replanted, grape varieties that appreciate the local terroir.

Jean-Marie Mado is a fervent defender of sustainable agriculture without pesticides or synthetic fertilizers. He is a pioneer in the defense of certified organic agriculture. In the 1980s, he was particularly involved in the French organic sector as president of

the organic interprofession, then in its infancy in France. In the 1990s, Jean-Marie was also an entrepreneur managing an organic brand which he then sold to La Vie Claire, one of the French leaders in the sale of products from organic farming.

In 2004, Chantal and Jean-Marie Mado took over Château Morillon. The wine property then consists of 14 hectares of vines around a sober and elegant 18th century residence, a cellar of concrete vats and outbuildings to be restored. They immediately converted the vineyard to organic farming, which was then also a pioneering estate in the Blayais.

The first three episodes of Babylon were released together on the weekend. And after watching them, I'm not entirely hooked. Babylon is based off a novel series by Mado Nozaki. He's also written screenplays for Seikaisuru Kado, and the anime film Hello World, which came out last month. I did watch the former, and it started off quite promising, but fell off midway. Hello World, going by the reviews, also wasn't exactly that exciting. Babylon has also started off quite promisingly, and as to how it will go, we'll have to wait and see. The story is a suspense/mystery. It has all these little bits and pieces that are slowly creating a bigger picture. There have been a couple of surprises, in the first three episodes, so I am a little interested to see it all goes. But I just have this feeling that I may be left slightly disappointed. It is just a feeling mind you. There's denying the animation. It's clean, fluid, and beautiful. I have no issues which the main character either. Yutaka Yamada composing is definitely a plus. But I'm just not entirely convinced in regards to the story. I have neither read the novels or the manga adaptation. Maybe someone who has, can enlighten me if it's worth my time.
