plasticfree is an online materials and systems solutions platform

their plastics are aimed at the creative industry for them to use and think about while they are designing products as a way for them to adapt how they work and making it easily accessible to alternative materials. 'built by, creatives for creatives'

they engage in events, talks to promote their work as well as gain inspiration from others to know how to progress next

you can only recyle plastic a handful of times, with it degrading inquality each time you recycle it. after this many times you end up having to put it in landfill or incinerate it.

some issues with creating new plastic free materials is that it often requires a lot of energy from natural resources like water and land.

this takes the approach of 'best of both worlds' where you can practice upcycling and giving materials a second life while making it into a new resource.

fashion and textiles journal found up to 80% of leftover material waste in factories could be upcycled into new garments as well as there being nutritious benefits in food waste from the product not looking 'perfect'

Having worked with innovative design enthusiasts Established & Sons and MadeThought before, we were excited to be a part of yet another project between the two as they continued to experiment with different materials and methods when collaborating on the design of their tote bags.

Made from 500 micron Soft Touch EVA with an embossed texture, these bags were branded using screen-printed inks to match the client’s corporate colour. Woven handles were attached to the top, with a stitching effect also added across the top edge of the bag. 1000 of these were produced in our Chinese factory and delivered back to our client in the UK.
