Forgive me if I'm a bit nervous about Gorgug this season. It's just that the last Zac Oyama pc was Colin Provolone, who was arguably one of his greatest D20 performances, if not the greatest.

Zac always does great with every pc he plays, but Colin was something else. He came out swinging with actions and words that were teeming with unspoken emotional baggage. The way Colin's presence affected the other pcs; there was this level of depth that I don't think I've seen in any of his other characters. It was understated and quiet in that signature "just a guy" way that he tends to be, while still captivating everyone instantly with just how raw it was.

Not to say we haven't seen emotional depth in Gorgug. It's just that, compared to the other Bad Kids, Gorgug's journey and progression as a character has been very... impersonal? Like, yes, he found his birth parents, and he found friends who appreciate him, and he faced his insecurities about his intelligence, and he navigated relationship troubles, and his trial through the claustrophobic bug-tunnels was a horrifically-uncanny parallel to how he's spent his entire life trying to make himself as small as possible.

But how much of that has actually changed him from the Gorgug we started with? I would agree that he's definitely happier with his life, given all the loving and supportive people that have been added to it when it used to be just him and his parents. And he's certainly grown into himself and become more self-assured in his abilities, even if he's still, and always will be, our anxious little guy. And there's nothing wrong with that. I've always liked how Gorgug was a representation of all the little things. The subtle acts and kindnesses that don't seem like much to most, but to some are everything.

We don't need another Bad Kid living in fear that their mouth could be shit-in at any moment. We've already got one-too-many.

All that being said, I just feel like Gorgug's personal story beats are much easier to sweep under the rug than everyone else's. He has the same soft and understated quality that Colin held, but they lack that extra oomph that pushed Colin over the edge from being just another guy in a series of dudes, to a character that the vast majority of us could not get out of our heads. He took someone who was anxious and softspoken, who ultimately never wanted to be violent— someone who is remarkably similar to Gorgug in many ways— and maintained that demeanor and core in Colin's character while still hitting us in the feels with character development at max velocity at every turn.

I think Zac gets better and better at this with every season that goes by. With each new character, there is always something that leaves me stunned in awe. And it's been, what, three? Four years since we last saw Gorgug?

I'm just,,, I'm cautiously optimistic but also going into a bit of a worry about what violence this man may inflict upon us

ASL brothers HAIKYUU!! AU!!!!!

Day one of Self Indulgent month for me! I love these three, i love haikyuu, i love killer whales!

(The Naval Academy is this au’s version of marines)

For those who dont know, in Haikyuu (and prob in real life too but in my experience its not as important as they make it in the anime) The "Ace" of the team is the person who primarily scores points via spiking. Theyre the Hard Hitter, basically.

Originally, i was gonna make their school mascot just "The Pirates" but i couldnt figure out a clever pun with the school name so i scrapped it in favor of an animal mascot. I figured I would have a wider range of puns that way.

I landed on Orcas as the mascot because I think they really embody a pirate way of life. Theyre strong, hang out in groups of a mix of found family and their actual family, hate the rich, and theyre fun loving! And also im a bit biased because theyre my favorite animal, but hey, i said its self indulgent month, didnt I?

Their school name is a play on the word for Killer Whale (Shachi シャチ) and the word for 'knowledge' (Chishiki 知識), i just smashed the two words together. I'm very proud of myself for coming up with that given i dont speak japanese at all.

Anyway, with their designs, I was taking inspiration from orcas to match the design themes of haikyuu. Ace's hair is bleached on the underside to look like the underside of an orca's body, I made ace and sabo's eyes look more whale-like, the clip in sabo's hair is meant to resemble to spots behind orca's eyes, and I tried to make luffy's hair look more like it's round and spiking down more than i usually do.

Ace is wearing a ''way of the ace" shirt in the first picture, Luffy is wearing a shirt that just says "VOLLEY BALL" because i think it would be funny if he wore a bunch of those Zero-context-poorly-translated-random-english-words shirts that theres a bunch of in Asia. Sabo dyes his hair like delinquents do, but it doesnt much look delinquent~y because of how soft it looks. He means to do it to make him look like a delinquent though. Sabo still has his scars in this au, but he uses his hair, arm braces, and leg braces to cover them up. LUFFY AND ACE HAVE FUNKY SOCKS BECAUSE NO ONE CAN TELL THEM (or me) THEY CANT. Sabo wears athletic socks though because he's a debbie downer. He defends himself saying “It’s practical” and Ace and luffy call him “practically a Debbie Downer.”

Luffy is very good at receiving from growing up with Sabo and Ace practicing setting and spiking with eachother and assigning Luffy as Ball Boy. So he got the libero position from that cuz sabo and ace put in a good word for him. Nepotism.

I didn't feel like coming up with designs for them, but Zoro and Bepo are also on their team (theyre in the fifth image sitting on the right of the line of students). Koala and nami are student managers, Robin is the teacher manager, and Franky is the coach. all other straw hats/luffy friends, rev army comrades, and whitebeard brethren are in the stands. Im trying to keep the ages consistent with how they are in canon.

I didnt do a very in depth research, but i couldnt find what Japanese schools have as mascot costumes. and given no one wears any costumes in haikyuu for their team, i can kind of assume they dont use them over there. But unfortunately for them, I'm American. And part of the backbone of our schooling system, is Vaguely Unsettling Mascot Costumes. My sister says my design for it looks like its from Club Penguin, and i find that delightful. [moment of silence for my billions of fallen Puffles, taken from me in The Shutdown] Anyway.

I thought I was clever coming up with the equivalent of the Marines in this au being a Naval Academy. And their mascot being Seals, famously the animal that gets the absolute Worst Of It from orcas. Get shit onnnnn

so i was like. thinking over why lestat couldnt even save claudia (this with disregard from the book cuz i never read it) so im trying to rationalize the exterior reasons

1) armand wouldn’t have saved her if she was buried under the rocks

2) the coven probably would have fucked lestat over if he did the “banishment” thing twice

but… in the first place, why would lestat even have agreed to this arrangement knowing louis and claudia would die in the first place?

you’d think that after saving louis he wouldn’t have wanted this, and people on twitter claim he was being manipulated and drugged by the coven but i honestly don’t see that happening at all because he seemed very conscious and sober doing all this. if he really was drugged, i don’t think he’d have the proper strength to mindfuck the audience into telling them to banish louis.

so what’s my point here?

i don’t think lestat ever wanted to save claudia. if it was louis in lestat’s place he wouldn’t have picked claudia either. i don’t think either of them were capable of saving their daughter because they only wanted each other.

and i say this because, like, i think after lestat’s recalling towards claudia’s birth, he thought it’d be better for her to not live a life at all if she wanted a happy ending. he doesn’t know what madeleine really is to claudia, but i don’t think that would have mattered in the end.

lestat came to paris knowing this trial was going to kill louis and claudia. he knew this and agreed to it. this was his revenge on them, and i can’t have my mind changed on this because he was still complicit in claudia’s death! he didn’t do anything to save her, he let it happen! because he wanted it to happen!

and here’s another thought as to why he let it happen. he still knows that she was a mistake. he couldn’t let her live any longer with her as his mistake.

and so he never saved her, even though he could have easily stopped time and taken her away from the light. instead he just watched.

but i mean. even if he did want her killed, i’d still find it makes sense to grieve after her anyway, you know? lestat still loved her, but after decades of their rocky and turbulent relationship taking the forefront of it all i don’t think it did anything for him except cause pain in remembering how happy they used to be in such a short period of time. it’s just… he was never meant to save her. lestat only cared about saving louis because louis actually made his choice to becoming a vampire, but claudia wasn’t.

claudia never had a chance, and lestat knew that and let her out of this life as a mercy.

They called you Bullseye because of your incredible aim, able to fling any blade, shoot any gun or trip any enemy. Youd appeared shortly before Spiderman had started out, meaning you’d been in this business over many years at this point, meaning you’d made a lot of friends and enemies along the way. Though, it was mostly enemies.

You were mostly a thief, but you’d taken money to kill people before, especially if you found out the person you were hired to kill was a horrible person. Then you would almost do it for free, but you couldn’t, as people would assume you were shabby or easily manipulated.

That’s how you met The Prowler for the first time, he had been in the business longer than you and knew his way around. You were both thieves, and both worked under Kingpin as long as it paid. In the beginning somewhat of a rivalry went on between you, as you both started going out of your way to pick the others targets, just because you could.

Later on in life you would both admit it was flirting, just your own way of doing it. You were a couple years younger than Aaron, but not anything too crazy, people were honestly more surprised that Aaron Davis was openly in a relationship with another man, than anything else.

Because that’s what it became, neither of you put a name to it for years, even as you moved in together and worked together as The Prowler and Bullseye, or when Aaron had to patch you up after the vulture had gotten you in the side after being a little too annoyed by your presence.

Even when you got to meet his cute nephew, and the first thing the kid asked was if you were Aaron’s husband. You did end up getting married, but it wasn’t anything big, just signing a couple of papers mutually deciding to wear a necklace with your ring instead of putting it on your finger.

Aaron had started to slow down over the years, and though you didn’t slow down just as much, you started taking smaller hits and even stopped killing, it was just hard to stop stealing after all these years. Your relationship with spiderman became better too, he didn’t even throw you into the raft, as you’d return the item you stole half the time.

Then everything happened with Miles being bitten, figuring out Aaron and your own secret identity and rightfully feeling betrayed, Aaron getting arrested and covering for you, leaving you to walk free as he was locked away. It was hard to be away from your husband, and it was hard seeing the distrust in Miles’s eyes when he looked at you.

But when Aaron was finally free from the raft, it was hard to not jump him immediately as he stepped in through the door. His beard wasn’t as styled as it had been before, and he looked slimmer, but he was still your husband who got your blood pumping.

Aaron had grinned in that way only he could grin, the way that had your heart racing, as he put his bag down and opened his arms to accept you as you advanced on him. Hands desperate and gripping, your lips mashed together like you were both starved and the others lips was the only thing that could fill your stomachs.

Kissing him after so long apart felt like coming home, like a part of you that had been ripped out had finally returned. The stumble to the bedroom was blurry, as both of you had been way too focused to kiss and touch and grab, to notice that you had stumbled into the bedroom. Things in your bedroom was pretty much the same as the day he was taken away, but none of that mattered.

You felt like you were on fire as Aarons hands slid up under your shirt, digging his nails into the tight muscle of your torso and dragging them down in the way that had your skin raising into goosebumps. He chuckled hotly as he groped your pecs, rubbing his rough thumbs over your hardening nipples as his eyes seemed to almost glow, like he wasn’t just as starved as you were for this.

Lips slick with spit and bodies growing hot, clothes were thrown all over the room as desperate hands pulled and tugged, the noise of ripping fabric registering somewhere in the back of your brain as Aarons hands gripped and pulled at your t-shirt. It had just been some cheap shirt, anyone could have torn it, but Aaron doing it had a hot shiver running down your spine like thick honey.

Your hips ground together as the last strips of fabric left your bodies, a deep hot groan leaving Aaron’s chest as you shuffled between his thighs, grabbing at the muscle there to lift them. He wasn’t as flexible as he had been years ago, but neither were you, the curse of your over-the-top lifestyle and age, but one of his legs still found its way over your shoulder.

He laughed as you licked the inside of his knee before biting into his leg, grinding in your teeth just enough to leave an indent. He laughed even harder as you grabbed the lube from the drawer, the same place you two always kept it, your husband making some joke about how you hadn’t even changed it up since he had been gone.

You scowled as he mentioned his time away, slicking up a couple of your fingers and getting to work stretching him out, starting slow as you had been apart for so long. Aaron had never made much noise, but the ones he did were like music to your ears. Any soft grunt or groan, or the few times you could get him to whimper when you brushed his prostate.

As you opened him up with your fingers, adding another when needed, you leaned down and kissed him again, your chin brushing against his faintly greying beard. His lips were dry, but you loved them like that, because it meant you got to flatten your tongue of them before taking them between your teeth and giving them a pull.

Aaron’s hand found its way into your hair, gripping on, his brows giving a furrow as you removed your fingers from inside him. You both knew he was ready, and Aaron was growing impatient, his leg falling to hook around your hip to pull you in close. “Come on, get inside me already” he grumbled, his eyes softer and face warmer than usual.

And who were you to reject his wish, reaching down to lead your cock into him, slowly pushing in and letting you both adjust as you bottomed out, a groan leaving you both at the completeness it made you both feel to be together again like this.

His hand gripped your arm and gave it a squeeze, and you knew it meant he wanted you to move but couldn’t find the words to ask. Normally you might have teased him a bit, get him to ask, but now all you wanted was to be near him.

Starting out slowly, you moved your hips in a slow and deep pace, this wasn’t just a normal roll in the sheets, it was making love. Aaron must have felt the same as you, as his arms found themselves around your neck, pulling you down so your lips could meet once more as he gave a grumbled demand for you to go faster.

The sound of pants and groans filled the room for the first time in the year Aaron had been gone, the slick noises of your kissing and of the lube only adding to the ambiance. The time apart had left you both needy and backed up, so it didn’t take long for you both to grow closer, Aarons noises growing in volume and going form groans to moans, his head falling back onto the pillow as his eyes clenched.

Seeing him so close, you reached down, wrapping your hand around his slick back, jerking it in pace with your thrusts until Aaron moaned the loudest you had gotten him to moan this entire time as he came, shooting spurts of white into your hand and across his torso.

The sight was enough to have your eyes roll back into your head as your jaw dropped, a moan leaving you as you bottomed out inside him, letting the rush of orgasm crash through your body as you came. The orgasm left your vision swimming for a moment, finally coming back to Aarons breathless chuckle as he pulled you down on top of him.

If you had been younger, you two would have gone a couple more rounds, but now it just felt like enough to hold one another after being apart for so long. Ok im still thinking of the philza and tubbo fight cuz it reminds me of the marvel fandom when talking about the ending of cilvil war

Bucky killed tonys parents and tony tried to kill him, some where mad at tony cuz he tried to kill bucky but bucky was a victim. Others agreed but still pointed out that he still killed people. It goes into more details but I don't wanna do that

Philza says that we should help him cuz hes a friend and we should help each other, cuz hes a victim an doesn't have a choice. Lock him up and find a cure like last time. And yeah that's phil to a T, phil would travel to hell and back to protect his freinds. And he knows he has friend's who would do the same for him. Man's disappears and the island panics. Bolas would flock around their leader to protect him from the other teams

There's also the added fact that it does take a bit to earn philza's trust and forever has that trust. So to him he sees forever is clearly not himself and he knows how MUCH HE LOVES Tallulah and would never ever purposely hurt her. So something's wrong with forever obviously. And of COURSE he wants to help out forever back together again.

Like when he told tubbo we help forever and then said he would expect tubbo to help phil if he was ever in this position shows so much about phils character to me. Like u help each other so hearing someone u trust doing something as quick as killing him would freak me out lol.

Then theres my sweet traumatized tubbo, he can trust so easily but take his trust away just as easily, his self estime is so low that he expects everyone to be against him. then it was evern worse after purgatory 1 and fred things keep getting worse. And worse of all hes kidnapped from the island most people didn't know he was taken and was forced to leave his kid. In purgatory 2 mans finally had his targaryan moment and took them all down with him.

Then hes back and hears that forever suddenly is different...again. corralled all the kids into following him and that he hurt Tallulah and tried to kill chayanne. Sent ramon into a panic to the point man's PUT ON HIS ARMOR. he himself believes that the island would turn on him immediately if he did something wrong. So if course he would think the same if someone lost it AND HURT THE CHILDREN. he went into purgatory with the only thought of helping the children, and questioning why the other islanders forgot that the point of this. He even said himself that he would choose his godchildren anyway over fred. NoW HIS DAUGHTER IS IN THE MIX. AND ITS NOT EVEN THE FEDS GOING AFTER THE KIDS ITS ONE OF THEIR OWN.

So of course!!! To tubbo the only choice for forever is to kill him so he himself doesn't hurt the eggs again. For any of the islanders the idea of hurting the children even if they were the victim would probably ruin him.

I agree with both yes we should help forever but i agree with tubbo a bit more if forever is so possessed with whatever that hes going after the children???? Kill him, jail prison, lock him away.

And phil expecting for tubbo to help him if he was ever in the same position but tubbo made a promise to care for his godchildren if phil was ever in a place were he couldnt tubbo would fucking kill him.

Idk I really liked the fight shows the difference between the characters and specifically how tubbo changed as a character.

I probably have more thoughts on this but this is it??? Me thinks??

Finally the holidays have arrived and much to your sleep schedule's dismay, this meant more overtime and more grouchy customers. Y/n could practically hear the complaints as she showers to get dressed for the day, the idea that she has to endure customers throwing a tantrum from one little spill of water on their shoes that even the price tag makes you go pale.

With a heavy sigh you slip out the shower while wrapping the fluffy white towel around your body, the plushiness easing your already tense nerves. Once you find your uniform and slip into it, the scent of food brought your mind to a grinding halt.

Picking up your shoes and dashing down stairs hoping that he was still there, knowing he is the one person who always brightens your day...aside from that one old lady whos so chatty that anyone would likely fall asleep listening to her. Chuckling to yourself, you checks your schedule that the boss sent and oh boy would sukuna have a fit. You then felt strong arms drape over your shoulders and realised Its your loving boyfriend, his chin resting on your head making it obvious he is not going to move any time soon.

The unimpressed huff made it known to the world that he does not like how your work schedule looks already,"You seriously still planning to go anyway?, I think It's time you come work as my assisitant." 

It takes you a full three seconds to process what he just said, then felt your phone leave your hand. He was now calling your boss regardless that you are right there in the kitchen with him. No matter what you tried, you couldnt reach the phone and grab it back. His expression changed when he inquired about the last overtime payment, his grip tightening around your phone and you could swear that if phones could speak this one would be screaming in agony. Internally sighing to yourself knowing full well his strength during these moments are beyond your control, however what really made you snap out of your daze was when he was suddenly not there...your phone on the counter and the slam of the front door.

Scrambling for your phone to check for messages, however none had popped up.

You have no idea what had possessed you, but your feet acted before your mind could catch up. Running after him, knowing where he is going was why. He was angry and an angry Sukuna will easily flip tables like they mere toys, that thought alone made your stomach twist and send your anxiety sky high.

Speaking of DnD characters... I did draw my lil guys that I dont think I ever posted and I created a lot more characters since then (Coin has an entire team and they all have family & stories lol).

Stories under the cut!-

Steve was my first DnD OC I made for a friend who wanted to play with us (useless hos who didnt know anything about the game). I dont remember much about him TBH. Im assuming he was a flirty dumbass.

Dust an Undead Long Death Monk who was my second DnD OC made for literally the exact same reason except we didnt get any where with it. LMAO. I also dont remember much about him except he hated mages (except one).

Coin (Azriel Kim) is a Swashbuckler Rogue. The youngest son of a noble family who made a deal with a devil to gain their wealth. As a consequence their baby was born a Tiefling and they decided to hide him away from the world to save face as the city they lived in was VERY superstitious and religious.

Coin as a young boy stayed in a windowless room in their mansion, not even being able to see his siblings and while he was not treated cruelly by his parents they did start to neglect him as the years went by and he could start doing things like eat/bathe/etc by himself. He loved his 'fairytale' books and wondered what it would be like to go to the worlds outside and eventually sneaked out of his room and found a window to see the world from his books looked very similar and is struck with a wanderlust.

His mother caught him and told him he couldnt do this anymore because he had a 'condition' that made it so if he left his room for too long his skin would burn and his tail would shrivel and his fangs would fall out (etc) and he is very thankful for the warning and stays in his room for a few more years.

Until one day his elder brother got into an argument with their parents. Angry that they could never go anywhere and since they had a diseased baby they didnt even have servants anymore so they were mostly stuck in their lame home all the time. Which leads to the parents discussing things amongst themselves which Coin overhears. He learns the real reason why he's been locked away was to save face and decides to run away. If what his mother said about his 'condition' was really a lie, things would be fine. He could go off on an adventure like he always wanted... but if not and he dies well... either way his family would be free of him. He leaves a note and sneaks away in the night.

Of course nothing happens cuz hes just a regular Tiefling. The first group he joins wanted the map he had of some cave that supposedly had treasure but after a string of bad luck they start to blame the little Hellspawn which results in them turning on him. Coin isnt much of a fighter so loses badly, losing his fangs that they pull out trying to get him to admit to sabotaging him and almost having the end of his tail bitten off.

He starts fixing himself with the gold he earns in his travels. Replacing his fangs with gold ones and covering the scar on his tail with a band. Whenever he gets injured he keeps doing this. Rings on his fingers, piercings, necklaces, tattoos, etc (a reference to kintsukuroi). He also starts memorizing maps and other things to protect himself from people would otherwise just rob him since hes not a particularly good fighter.

He meets his next group while theyre trying to find a way through a cave system he knows very well and injects himself into their conversation and offers his services. They hire him and things go without a hitch... though at the end of their first adventure together Coin just leaves them- but he eventually comes back for a steady job... and then a steady family.

(Little does he know one of his actual family(his older brother Ardit*) did go to search for him... (he finds out later after an INCIDENT))

*Both Coins siblings are named after gold. Ardit and Gilda... he only noticed some time later which is part of the reason he changes his name to Coin. Since thats what his family seems to value most... he seems to have inherited that from them too.

Wicke a Drow/Wood Elf Phantom Rogue whos Drow father kidnapped her older sister to earn some favor with his original clan. She doesnt actually know that, her mother never told her, but she figures it out when her sister shows up (as an enemy). Shes joins the group on and off at the start after they help her fight her sister for the first time. She grows close to Talia and eventually stays in the group for her before really growing fond of the others.

Talia Shea a Halfling Light Cleric who had a pretty normal childhood until her village was attacked and one of her dads was killed. She trained to be a warrior to protect her village and once it was secure she went off to protect others. She gets brought into the group from Dante who she befriends in her travels.

Xander Hertz a Human Devotion Paladin who was a guard for a city that was attacked by dragons. The city was completely leveled killing (what he thinks) is his entire family (wife, son, father, cousin) as well as most of the people in the city and is forced to flee. On his way out he finds a young boy who lost his family too and decides to take him to safety. the only thing keeping him going after losing everything is the hope he could find the boys other relatives and when that doesnt work... he just kinda adopts and trains the boy, sort of gaining another son.

Dante Papadopoulos is a Human(perhaps) Evocation Wizard who was raised by his grandmother (who is probably not a Hag) after she died under mysterious circumstances he decided living in an isolated cabin in the middle of swampy woods really wasnt for him so he dipped. Hes very dedicated to studying all sorts of magic and eventually notices he doesnt seem to be aging past a certain point, which is why he grows out his hair/beard to disguise his weird aging. Hes friends with Talia before the rest of the group... she calls him 'Papa' which he hates and has noticed his weird aging but says nothing except to make fun of his dumb beard.

Olivier Ricci is a Half-Elf Eloquence Bard who was from the same city as Xander, losing his family but gaining a new 'brother'. Hes a mostly cheerful, fun-loving type and tries very hard to keep up the positive vibes which can be hard when Xander is such a stern and melancholic kinda guy. Hes quite happy when they find Talia and Dante and help them and eventually join into a bigger group. (not that it helps Xander be less of a worrywart... Olivier would just like some independence now that hes a grown adult man DAD(he would never call Xander dad but thats the vibe)). There was no evidence to suggest anyone else and his older sister has never forgiven him... he wants to find out what really happened and clear his name (if he can, sometimes he thinks maybe he DID kill them but he just cant figure out why he would). His sister wont talk to him but her wife will thinking its kinda suspicious that a boy that young could kill two highly trained wizards... shes the middleman of communication between the siblings.

People often pronounce his name incorrectly calling him Zephyrs End which sounds very ominous and not his name! Please. He politely corrects people every time. He only LOOKS spooky and has some spooky interests.

Bumble is a Plasmoid/Goblin Shepherd Druid who was just a little blob of goop creature until a Witch found and raised her. Teaching her to be a proper lady... tho Bumble doesnt speak common very well and not very often she is very polite. The shell she has is a modified Bag of Holding but it only holds an infinite hive of BEES. Though she is very sweet (personality!) and looks like honey... blease do not try to eat her she does not taste good. Shes lived in swamp water most of her life.

ANYWAYS. The. Big one related to that™ post came from a combination of me wondering how the FUCK Cedric got the yellow phosphor needed to rebuild proto + consequences of the revival of characters my beloved

And uh. Yea any yellow phosphor he does end up getting his hands on I. DOUBT WOULD BE ENOUGH.

So uh. Proto being rebuilt with less yellow phosphor then is probably even remotely adviseable and that causing a whole ton of issues™ . And Cedric not even knowing cuz of the whole just. Scanning the blueprints in.

Also this is proto we're talking about here. There's no fucking way he'd tell anyone until shit got BAD.

And yea. The author probably would have had yellow phosphor stored in the lab somewhere just incase. (Esp with the head canon that. Proto predicted his own death a long time ago cuz. Prophet moment. And. Told the author and the prophet but never cedric and rue cuz everytime he went to he would get another vision of them trying to intervene and things only going worse)

BUT. since I want my angst goddammit. That part of the lab collapsed first and while Cedric was abled to salvage some yellow phosphor it ends up not being enough.

BUT LIKE. YEA. the way I always imagined Cedric and Rue actually finding out is. One of those moments where a bunch of errors and shit happens . Happens when him Cedric and Rue are walking in the refuge. And this one's bad enough that he can't just metaphorically grit his teeth through it like the other times this has happened in public. Once it's over Cedric and Rue are reasonably extremely concerned and. Fuckin rush him to the lab to try and see if there something they can do to fix this.

AND UH. That segways into another little detail of this headcanon. BECAUSE. he let this go on for so long with the damage all the errors and malfunctions overtime have caused. It probably would just be better to rebuild him and reuse the yellow phosphor they already have. BUT UH. since the situation around him being rebuilt made it so stressful the first time around, he. REALLY doesn't wanna do that again. I have. Such a vivid idea of a scene in my head for that. They're like. Talking with kip. And shes like halfway through saying the word rebuild and. She doesn't even get to finish he just cuts her off.

So what they end up doing is, in the meantime, using red phosphor to prevent any further damage until they can go to the barrens to get blue phosphor so said phosphor won't have to be replaced as often.

I imagine that. Actually having a normal level of phosphor would. Definitely HELP. But. There would still be some issues partially because it's not one uniform type of phosphor and partially because of the damage the issues caused. When I made this headcanon I actually hadnt played solstice in a while, and for some reason I always remembered it as, him handing Niko the disk while the lower half of his body was already in the squares. which. no he actually hands it to them while the squares are directly behind him BUT. I still choose to remember it that way HSHSH. anyways uh. Important and related to this headcanon. He remembers what that feels likeeee. and hes probably the only oneee because in the solstice ending everyone only sayss they remember the squares surrounding themm not actually touching themmm and even robots who have gotten caught in them and liveed probably dont rememberrr especially since most of them arent tameddd and uhh even if he only remembers the beginning of ittt hes probably really good at filling in the gapss with the whole prophet thingg (thanks @malwarechips for that last idea/silly)

I always imagined it as like. about a week after solstice, once things are starting to calm down and return to normal, one night cedric and rue wake up to proto just fuckin screaming at the top of his (metaphorical) lungs. And. they fuckin burst into his room to him tossing and turning in his sleep and then fucking jolting awake. and like.this keeps happening like. practically every other night. he's losing sleep over this shit. Which probably isn't helping all the other issues from the whole phosphor ordeal which he still hasn't told Cedric or Rue about at this point. And I mean. I doubt the nightmares would be restricted to just. in the mines. cuz dreams are weird like that esp when traumas involved AND UH. With the whole prophet thing. That. PROBABLY WOULDNT MIX WELL. (once again thanks eve for that last part/silly)

(On a lighter note I did have the thought of Cedric and Rue sleeping in his room one night and him actually finally getting a good nights sleep and thus that just. Becoming routine for them. The thing about my angsty headcanons is 99% of the time there's hurt/comfort potential in there)

He kept picking on a very specific spot, his brows furrowed as your resolve melted into a weak flurry of protest. You couldnt take another second of the despicable treatment, he knew you couldnt, thats why he suddenly went at all your worst spots in a speed that your brain could barely process. Your lips shot open, laughing for a moment before he stopped and shoved the toothbrush in your mouth "Thank you" he said in a monotone voice

You tightened your lips, but he quirked an eyebrow, his other hand drifting back down to your ribs, You loosened your lips once more at the threat of more even more of the cruel process

"Good girl" he gave slight praise as he propped you up to get a better reach into your mouth, not giving you any relief or rest time from the strange punishment. He scrubbed and cleansed your seemingly dirty mouth "Please do not put up such a hassle next time, i did not even use my nails" you huffed at him, he pulled the toothbrush out and rinsed it in the sink before returning it to its rightful position

"i must say, you are very weak to that treatment. That may be something i must remember for future situations" you groan and stand up "That was a cheap move" he stands next to you "How so?" he seems ever curious of your answer

"its..its..weird! and i cant control how ticklish i am" he nods and gives you a strange look "yes, that is why its effective dear" he watches you mutter curses under your breath as he prepares to leave the small room, washing his hands.

Jump Festa 2024 SAKAMOTO DAYS Special Stage

(Part 1) Here are some of the things that were discussed, & exchanges that the guests had, which i manage to understand from the panel. I did not include those that i couldn't quite catch. Apologise if i misheard anything cuz my listening for Japanese isn't top-notch 🙏

Introduction

Guests for SAKAMOTO DAYS JF2024 panel are Sōsuke Ishikawa (editor in charge of SakaDays; from here on shall be referred as Ishikawa-san) and Ryōta Suzuki (special guest appearance; from here on shall be referred as Suzuki-san)

Ishikawa-san did not cosplay as anyone this time (lol; previously he cosplayed as Tarō Sakamoto in JF2022, fyi). However, he wore Sakamoto's Store apron this year & said that it is no longer sold in Jump Shop but there is a newer version which fans can still purchase.

Ishikawa-san mentioned that now that the series has reached its 3rd year anniversary, the battle with Slur is heating up which makes it more exciting to witness its future development.

When Suzuki-san came on stage he made a joke about how there's an X mark (meaning Slur lol) at the spot designated for him. He jokingly commented that we would chance upon so many Slurs (X marks) in our everyday life so he's hyperalert of his surroundings lmao.

1st Segment - Suzuki-san's Favourite Manga Scenes

Suzuki-san chose chapter 16, "Department Store War": the limited edition Sugar-chan backpack sale scene. He expressed that he could really feel Sakamoto's love for his daughter, Hana-chan, in this chapter. And seeing how Sakamoto is now fighting as a Dad, & not as a hitman, really stood out here & it's amazing to see. He also praised the series' comedic scenes and remarked that those grannies in the chapter are way more scarier than any other assassins in the series.

Ishikawa-san added that as a backpack enthusiast, he felt that he need to get his hands on a Sugar-chan backpack too.

Suzuki-san's next favourite manga scene is chapter 28, "First Rate" (or "Top Notch" whichever yall prefer), specifically Seba versus Shin & Heisuke. Suzuki-san recounted his experience when reading this chapter, he wondered how Shin would fight an invisible person & moreover Shin couldnt read his mind when Seba wore the invisibility suit. But then Heisuke came to assist Shin, and Suzuki-san praised Heisuke for being a great guy who not only consoled Hana-chan when she cried (cuz she was left by herself in store) & told her that Piisuke would help find them. Ishikawa-san also agreed that Heisuke is a really good guy!

Suzuki-san explained that he had put lots of thoughts into choosing his favourite scenes as he took into account those people who have yet to read the series. He actually wanted to add a scene with "the strongest grandpa" Takamura! Suzuki-san confirmed it when Ishikawa-san guessed if it was the Tokyo Tower-slicing scene. Suzuki-san remarked that he was mindblown when that scene happened.

Ishikawa-san was asked to provide his thoughts on Suzuki-san's scene choices. He said that Sakamoto is always fighting a lot so seeing him take a breather and get to do a normal everyday life kind of stuff plus those hilarious (department store war) scenes was refreshing so he's glad Suzuki-san chose that chapter. As for chapter 28, the Seba versus Shin & Heisuke happened to be one of his favourites too. He enjoyed how Shin & Heisuke both try to adapt in the battle, with Shin not being able to mind-read, but the two never once gave up as they pushed on to defeat Seba, who has the invisibility ability.

2nd Segment - Special Q&A with Suzuki-sensei (done behind-the-scenes)

You may refer to the JF2024 Q&A questions which I have previously translated.

Q1. ALTERNATIVE CAREERS // Ishikawa-san thought that all the characters' alternative careers made sense. As for Suzuki-san, he was absolutely convinced that Sakamoto would have opened a ramen shop business & be the manager there. He added that Sakamoto's current shop could pass as a ramen shop as it already looked the part so he was really surprised with the home improvement/hardware store manager answer lol. He also commented that Nagumo is very handsome so him being an actor or model makes a lot of sense. As for Ishikawa-san, he also added that he can already picture Heisuke to still be in training even after he becomes a Chef lmaooo.

Q2. REST DAYS // Suzuki-san was just fanboying over Osaragi 😂 He said "Osaragi-san is the best and she's super cute!" and Ishikawa-san agreed. Ishikawa-san said she reminds him of a cat! Ishikawa-san further stated that, according to Suzuki-sensei, Nagumo is the kind who can switch between On & Off modes easily. Sensei also said that he would sometimes just sit on his bed on his day off, with his hair all messy, and just do Sudoku puzzles. Ishikawa-san confessed that he never expected such information though it's interesting, and then Suzuki-san chimed in & said that everyone generally likes guys with gaps (aka gap moe. Meaning: contrast between one’s appearance and personality, or the difference between someone’s actual personality and from first impression you had of them). Suzuki-san also added that Nagumo is pretty sly.

Q3. COOKING ABILITIES // Suzuki-san never would have guessed that Osaragi can cook! He even joked that Osaragi would cut her food/ingredients using her buzzsaw & then they joked that she'd even cut through the kitchen counter lmaooo. As for Ishikawa-san, he felt that Osaragi is good at cooking home-cooked meals. Then moving on to Yotsumura (the goat), Ishikawa-san stated that he actually asked Suzuki-sensei what Yotsumura's specialty was & Sensei stated that Yotsumura can cook just about anything -from Italian, French to Japanese cuisines you name it, anything at all! Lastly, Ishikawa-san remarked that since Mafuyu is a clean freak or a germophobe, he probably would not touch anything, much less cooking. Suzuki-san seconded this & went on to say that Mafuyu would never cook at all.

Q4. AOI & SAKAMOTO FIRST MEETING // Suzuki-san commented that Sakamoto being all shy, hesitant & fidgety is super cute & adorable. Ishikawa-san thought Aoi has great communication skills as Aoi strikes him as the type who would instantly speak what's on her mind so she must have been really worried for Sakamoto at that time (seeing him w blood).

Q5. SUZUKI-SENSEI'S MESSAGE TO SHIN & SAKAMOTO // Suzuki-san remarked that while Shin doesn't look like the series MC -cuz he imagined the MC to be someone really strong- he felt that Shin & the rest of the characters around him have made an impact & things have been exciting thanks to them too. Ishikawa-san pointed out that Shin is more of a "growth" type character. Comparing him to Sakamoto, who could just defeat anyone single-handedly and easily, Ishikawa-san explained that Shin doesn't have all that but no matter the obstacles & difficulties thrown his way, he constantly tried his best & never gave up, and that's what makes one want to root for him. Suzuki-san also expressed his opinion on how he feels like Sakamoto is the “I got your back” type of person, to which Ishikawa-san agreed, saying that whenever Shin is in a pinch, Sakamoto would always come to his rescue.

Overview:

Kreios is a 6'7" shaggy man who is visibly inconvenienced by most things in his life. He works as a Territory Patrol Captain for his Clan that resides in The Forest of Thieves. He is albino, has depression, is demiromantic/asexual and his personality type is ISFP

His design is based off of the idea of "a sheep in wolf's clothing" to compliment his counterpart, Ivaylo, whose design is based around "a wolf in sheep's clothing". As such, he wears a wolf hide Coat, but is otherwise a shaggy sheep of a man.

Mannerisms/Way of Life:

-Kreios is just gigantic and he lumbers and slouches everywhere he goes.

-He falls asleep randomly even while standing up and when he's asleep, you could put anything near him and he'd hold it.

-He doesn't respect other people much. He's only here to do a job, and when he's done, he goes home.

-When Kreios is in his little apartment, he's either carving, cooking, or sleeping. he doesnt have guests, he doesnt hold parties, he's simply alone. And that's the way he likes it.

-He makes money on the side taking carving commissions from others in his clan. What is usually ordered is a Chess set.

-Kreios is crazy good at playing chess.

-He's not blind nor is he not paying attention, he's a very strategically intelligent man. However, people often underestimate his intelligence because of his aloof nature.

-he is not very visibly expressive due to the hair in front of his eyes and he tends to keep a neutral mouth shape. However if he's feeling inconvenienced, he's gonna hit you with a scowl.

Where His Heart Lies:

Kreios feels so deeply. When he respects, when he protects, when he loves. He does it all with all of his Heart and his soul. If he loves you, you'll know it. He hates hiding any of his emotions and is also terrible at lying.

Dynamic With Ivaylo:

He and Ivaylo were childhood friends, but life kept pulling them apart. Their childhood village was destroyed by an ever-growing empire, they wound up finding homes in different clans in their young adult years, and now they must keep their relationship to each other bottled up even though their territories have moved to be right next to each-other's.

Until their clans can become allies, they cannot interact.

Ivaylo:

Overview:

Ivaylo is a very particular Clan Leader who expects the most from everyone. His clan is made up of those who were cast out of their own clans in the Forest of Thieves for their various disabilities. The first person he took in was a little girl missing the bottom half of her left leg and he now refers to her as his daughter. He has anxiety and mild OCD, is homoromantic/homosexual, and his personality type is ISFJ

His design is based off of the idea of "a Wolf in Sheep's clothing" to compliment his counterpart, Kreios, whose design is based around "a Sheep in Wolf's clothing". As such, he wears a sheep hide vest under his big fur coat.

Mannerisms/Way of Life:

-Ivaylo commands and expects respect from all.

-He is very particular about small details. When he started living in the forest, he couldnt control much, so what he can control, he will do so perfectly in his eyes. His hair may look unorderly, but rest assured it is perfectly quaffed.

if something isn't right orderly-wise in his eyes, he will only focus on that one thing and cannot focus even if he's having a conversation with someone or even fighting

-In a work setting, he is ruthless and cold, but out of work, he is also cold, but in a "leave me alone" kind of way. a lone wolf, if you will. He finds having close relationships with those he feels are his employees is incredibly improper.

-Though he is cold, he is never quick to anger. He keeps a level head always.

-He admires loyalty and is very loyal to ones he loves.

-He is crazy bad at playing chess.

-Ivaylo walks with his head held high.

Where His Heart Lies:

-He wants to make a better life for his whole clan, but mainly his daughter, Calbex, who he refers to as X. All he wants is to live a peaceful life with those he loves.

-Life twisted him into a cold monster, but at heart he's very childish and sports a very impish smile. You can get him to giggle if you compliment him.

Kreios:

the fun of claudia's character is that she isnt a good person by any real life morals. by way of her youth, she could not develop enough understanding of complex moral codes [which is even more prominent w/ claudia being turned @ the age of 5 in books but even then.. ik at 14, i was hardly the pinnacle of morality and maturity, i was reckless & destructive, and did not understand consequence until it kicked my ass]. the moral dilemma of the actual brutality of vampirism is something shes certainly better at disassociating from than louis simply bc she was too young to understand right & wrong.. as iwtv novel said and the title of ep4 is, it is the reckless pursuit of blood w/ a child's demanding in ep4 that leads claudia to killing & disposing of bodies recklessly, a hurricane hitting lifting the bodies up, and her leaving. even tho shes a 20 something woman, lestat x louis tried to give her a second [or her first] childhood, and most importantly, her brain is permanently metasized w/ the thought patterns & responses of a poor 14 year old girl who came out of a fire on the verge of death. she leaves bc she cognitively is unprepared for & does not want to deal w/ the consequences that come with exposing this household of interracial gay dudes w/ a creole chid during the jim crow days to heightened police scrutiny. the question w/ claudia [& armand, and all these creatures] is that can u recognize their capacity for cruelty, the tragedy & loss of agency/life done upon them and still sympathize with them? for claudia, people already had a 50/50 view of her in vc fandom for 'getting in the way of the ship' esp w/ her oedipal [mutual] dynamic w louis, but in amc show, the relationship's certainly changed on louis's end. i cant say amc louis has the capacity to long after any woman much less claudia in that way, but there is a sense of [co]dependency on a black girlwoman thats much more interesting here. i got a post on that somewhere lol. im not sure what childism means but im guessing it refers to the denial of humanity children face by adults, and i definitely find that true. lestat and louis both want to keep claudia preserved in their memory as their little girl, lestat even moreso when claudia begins to question & challenge his authority as the patriarch.. louis picks & chooses when to regard claudia as a grown woman [saying shes almost 33 to lestat when she comes back, and when she cooks up the plan to kill lestat, evening himself out to be merely one of lestat's creations when he asks "can the children kill the father" to ease his guilt for his love and his hate for their maker, their abuser, his husband, alladat] and when to regard claudia as his child [even in the modern day when he talks about her, being protective of her diaries in the face of the white interviewer/audiences]. fans saying 'yea lestat, claudia should stay out of ur lovelife' is hilarious cuz lestat dragged claudia back into their lovelife in the permanent role as their child, when she wanted to leave in ep6, and made her to keep louis attached to him [cuz he thinks louis couldnt keep loving him otherwise]. shes a rhetorical device in the marriage: lestat loves her cruelty, louis loves her innocence, bc those aspects of claudia remind them of [how they see] themselves. misogynoir & childism, as u word it, may play into fans’s disinterest but also favoring an interpretation of claudia within the lines of their preferred party btwn lestat x louis, which is also why i giggle to myself when ppl tag claudia w/ either one of their surnames
