The little ones were so excited to find another ghost living in the adjacent field! Unfortunately Maddocks just found them all profoundly, profoundly annoying, bless him 👻🤍🦡

I'm going to leave this here
(https://archiveofourown.org/works/43928829/chapters/110453733)
I loved the other ghosts' (minus Robin cause he knew first) reaction to Maddocks. Cause BBC as a series tends to focus mainly on the ghosts in the house (or the ones Alison can't avoid, if you will) which means we (and consequently our BH crew) probably HAVEN'T seen many other ghosts so it is TOTALLY in character for them to see Maddocks and be like:
Tumblr media
since it doesn't seem like it's happened very often for someone new to come along. That was very well done.

stree 2
okay, I had only heard great things about this one and although I didn't watch the first one properly (as in it was playing in the background and I didn't pay much attention), all things that I heard from some of my favourite cinephile pages on ig (gangs of cinepur, hoc) and the trailer convinced me to go for it and it actually was really good? And sure the comic timing was impeccable and the VFX was not, but my favourite part is the social commentary? there were so many scenes, one liners that were just so on point. the fact that the misogynist demon going after progressive women has literally lost his head (mind?). that scene where pankaj tripathi's character tells the difference about how stree would actually read the plea written on the walls and oblige accordingly where as men will literally do the opposite. but most importantly that scene where tamannah's character gets dragged through the mud and gets carried by a headless demon after she was lured into a false sense of safety only for a bunch of men to not only turn blind eye to what's happening to her but even allowing it to happen???? it hit me at a certain spot and I love how it could be interpreted as how whenever a progressive women is dragged through the mud (in a metaphorical sense) for being "modern", men are not just perpetrators but also spectators and you just don't know which is worse. and the second, more darker interpretation of how men would and have let violence happen to women and have turned their backs again and again over the years. it made me appreciate the film even more! I loved it. Will be watching bhediya next because I am sat for this maddock supernatural universe!

Hey everyone, dunno how long this might be, kind of doing a stream of consciousness style ramble about TNTF and me and stuff :)
alright so, tntf is getting a huge rework, this is my first if game ever, the coding is a little overwhelming, i know it’s fairly simple but it’s A LOT.
the reason i’ve been pretty quiet is mostly due to burnout, as some of you know i have health issues, i have crohns disease, i’m also autistic with adhd—something i love about this community is the understanding and acceptance for people/authors like me who may want to write but are just too stuck to be able to do it.
i know everyone is so jazzed for the next update, and i am too, there’s a few changes i’m making in regards to the technical aspects of the story, i’m removing stats, for the MC and for relationships. part of it is… i’m not a numbers person, trying to balance out the stats going up and down is a pain when this is planned to be a pretty damn long story. i also just don’t like it for my story personally, i don’t want you, as the player to feel like you have to game-ify personality or relationships.
this also opens the option for me to write more player responses to situations without having all of that annoying code in my brain~ MORE FLAVOR!
My writing has also vastly improved when it comes to fiction, a lot because i have been practicing so much while i’ve been sick (i’ve been playing with and writing AI chatbots on Janitor.AI, learning how to create a complex and realistic personality, an engaging character and world.) It’s been useful as a stress reliever and as a tool to help me write better, more descriptive etc.
on that note, smut in my game is also a very yes, i feel much more comfortable writing it now… heh.
i’ve also decided that all of my books are going to remain free, tntf was a planned three book series, it may just be one or two HUGE books, we’re going to have to see what i, and twine are capable of. but the story is going to span four countries and two continents of the world, so yeah.
the new rewrite is also going to slow things down considerably, because now we’ll have MC on a ship for four months as the intro, then meeting maddock and spending <insert amount of time here> with him while traveling to that little inn. it also gives me more room to introduce the characters a lot earlier but in their own POVs and not just while they’re with MC. i want the world to feel alive.
my decision to make and keep tntf free is because i want to.
i would not appreciate minors interacting with my content, but i also grew up with the internet, i know that no matter how much prevention we put in, minors are going to access our content regardless if it’s free or not. i just ask that if you are a minor and reading adult fiction, please don’t comment, dm or whatever, this is for your safety in the community as well as, i don’t want to deal with other people’s children on the internet, it’s nothing against any of ya’ll, you’re awesome, children are great but i’m almost 26, i really don’t want to deal with kids in what’s pretty much an adult space (i haven’t really seen books catered to the younger than 18 crowd, but like i’m saying, i’m more interested in forging connections with the adult community here, considering i am one, lmao *bats children away with pool noodles*)
i think that’s it
i might post more stuff but that’s my general direction
also to the asks in my inbox from last year on my birthday and forward… I READ THEM ALL AND APPRECIATE EVERY WELL WISH AND FEEDBACK, GENUINELY. i’m just bad at social media.

There's another ghost! There's been a dead guy over the hedge all this time!
I introduced him to all the others and they hung out for a bit but then he took himself off somewhere and I haven't seen him in ages 🤷‍♂️👻🤍
Just when I thought I'd finished with Ghosts characters and was preparing to simmer down, @crow-bee23 suggested Maddocks. The gore is all off screen, so this is my interpretation of what purple tendons, the tibia and bone marrow would look like for an amigurumi lad. Who knows what an early 20th century badger trap looks like, not me, blame Google if that bit's wrong 🤪

so. okay, the vibes were off for watching an english movie, and it's been over 2 months since i last saw a hindi movie, so Batman Forever will have to wait another day or so. now seated for part 3 of the the SCU — the Stree Cinematic Universe (it's not what it's actually called) — Bhediya (2022).
i think Stree (2018) is a phenomenal movie, one of my favorite horror-comedies and just kinda the genre's best as far as indian cinema is concerned, i think Roohi (2021) is definitely worse but still pretty fun, even if its plot construction is sloppy and the ending is incredibly rushed and hamfisted, it's like a good, solid 8/10 movie. now i've heard mixed things about this but Amar Kaushik has not let me down before (and Roohi was definitely missing his touch in the direction), so here's to hoping if it's polarizing, i end up on the side that loves it, bc i want this horror universe to succeed.
alright, let's get into it.

WIP Intro: The Blind Oracle
Genre | Fantasy POV | 3rd person limited, past tense* Setting | Cebryn, the capital city of the Fendwyth Kingdom Themes | Tragedy, Family Dynamics, Fear and how we control it, Paranoia, Trust and Betrayal, What exactly IS the great responsibility that comes with great power?, Learned Helplessness *mostly
Synopsis
As Madoc Medwin takes his vows to join the elite ranks of Fendwyth's Oracles, he believes the anxieties and uncertainty of his past lie behind him. No longer shall he craft fake predictions to please eager customers, and no longer will he fear the retribution of their anger when his "foresight" amounts to vague fortunetelling. Now, he can finally take confidence that the only tales he tells are those of true visions, and now, finally, Madoc's clairvoyance can amount to more than uncomfortable flashes of insight interfering in his day-to-day. That is, until he begins his time in the Halls of Augury, and a creeping sense of inadequacy descends over the adjustment to his new life. Despite the openness of the other Oracles, and the encouragement of the head Prophet, Madoc finds doubt in every move he makes. This unease escalates as an overheard conversation brings a vision from Madoc's childhood into sharp relief. A vision he forced himself to forget. One that sharing publicly might get him labeled as a traitor. But as the pieces slowly begin falling into place, dread becomes terror becomes panic as Madoc grapples with his role in preventing the oncoming chaos.
Characters
Madoc Medwin: The Halls of Augury's newest Oracle. A Seer (think street-performing fortuneteller) by trade, he's excited to cast aside the act and embrace a more prestigious position as a divinator. Very quickly finds himself overwhelmed. Gareth Medwin: Recently earned the role of a lowly Palace Guard on the grounds of the Halls of Augury due to a lucky break, also known as a charming personality and a brother's ascent to a high ranking position. Hefin 'Fin' Pendry: Self-assigned mentor to the new Oracles, determined to provide the same assistance to Madoc. Madoc's resistance to accept any help only serves as further evidence that he needs it. Rhonwen Castell: The Prophet of the Halls of Augury. Rhonwen embraces her reputation as an unnerving presence with a deadpan confidence, but maintains a warmth for her Oracles. Morien Rhydderch: King of Fendwyth. Along with his Advisory, looks to strengthen the nation's foothold among their neighbors.
