FURIOSA SPOILERS:
i absolutely loved the mythology elements that were worked into the very end of the movie with the three alternate versions of what happened to dementus (and ofc the 'real' version which was sooo sick and fitting and led straight into fury road)
just adds to the idea that all the mad max movies are just myths that circulate around the wasteland and evolve over time
like personally i like to think that fury road (2015) is the story of the road warrior (1981) having undergone loads of changes as it passes down through oral history
maybe max and furiosa were real and everything that happens in all the movies 100% actually happened in that universe or maybe they're just mythical figures made up to give people hope, it's totally up for interpretation and I LOVE IT

The Road Warrior (1981)
Such an improvement over the first movie. Not to say the first movie was bad but it was just kind of boring, you can read my thoughts about it on the post below this (probably) or just check the mad max tag.
Doesn't take an hour to get to the action, shit is happening from the start. This is where mad max truly became The Road Warrior. The music was really good I noticed, good car scenes. Awesome costume design for basically everyone in the movie, there's no one who didn't look like they fit in to the environment. Good characters too even though a lot of them die off our beloved friend from the beginning remains. I was a big fan of the Gyro Captain.
This goes in hand with costume design I think, the vehicle design was also really good, it captures the vibes y'know? Post apoc car based society.
Also, I like how max is kind of becoming a figure of legend as I heard some people talk about, so I assume it's a thing. he's a guy who appeared to help a tribe and only stuck around for a handful of days but was instrumental to their long-term success, and they'll never see him again.
Had a neat opening crawl that explained a bit of the first movie and the state of society meaning, the first mad max movie is no longer entirely required viewing, you can get by fine without it. Should still watch it once for completions sake though IMO.
Overall Rating: Vast Improvement over the first movie. A must see. this is probably why mad max is still a series that exists nowadays.

So...just for clarity, I think we need a recap of all the girls in Humungus' gang:
1. Luke's girlfriend (Anne Jones, the only one who's credited for her acting role)
Tumblr media
2. Badass biker
Tumblr media
3. Pink braids (yes I only have like...two good pictures of her)
Tumblr media
4. Curly hair eyepatch
Tumblr media
5. Super tall eyepatch (if I'm not mistaken, she's in the credits as the producer's secretary)
Tumblr media
(also there's this picture so the eyepatch girls are a couple in my heart)
Tumblr media
6. Pink's best friend
Tumblr media
7. Humungus' servant
Tumblr media Tumblr media
?. All the characters played by Dale Aspin (because let's say it, we never really see her, but she was everywhere. Let's give her the recognition she deserves) (in the second picture she's wearing the uniform of a Smegma Crazy minus the fur)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(also, I've heard different things about who did the close-ups shots of the Landau driver, so we can't be sure it's her, but I think it's still worthy of mention)
Tumblr media
??. And, last but not least, I'm pretty sure I've read somewhere that there was at least another woman among the Smegma Crazies but I can't support my claim bc there's pretty much zero pictures of them without the masks.
Conclusion: this means there's...at least 10 women in the gang. They're not as visible as their male friends, but, considering that this movie was shot in 1981, it's still pretty good. Especially if we consider the fact that all these women are supposed to be villains.
(if you think I might have missed something you're more than welcome to correct me obviously)
