I’ve waited my ENTIRE life for this moment, being able to share the brilliance of this @wearedelasoul song and Dave 🔌2️⃣🕊️and @plugwondelasoul 🔌1️⃣🔊 flawless verses! Plus the energy and vibes that @inmaseowetrust @djprincepaul brought on production and the horns by Maceo Parker, Pee Wee Ellis & Fred Wesley And the members of the native tongues lending their voices and vibes to it as well. I remember where I was when I first heard this song I walked into Stussy/Union store on LA Brea to visit the homies and this song was playing… (Study/Union store ALWAYS got advance copies of all the dope music.) I stopped in my tracks and it was the beginning of Dave’s verse and the Pos followed with his. I was in AWE! I made them rewind it and play it for me 3 more times. It was high ART by the only group that was capable of doing it (in my eyes in 1993) It to me is De La’s best song and I will die on this hill! Salute to the big bros and the whole De La Family! The masses FINALLY get to hear what a Supa MC really is. They’re the Co-fathers to so many styles in hip hop AND in music as a whole. They helped shape myself and my entire friend circle.
