Okay, so first of all Dan would like to say it’s not his fault. Ellie was the one to bring some unknown object into the speeder and Jazz was the one driving. Or had Sam been driving- didn’t matter! It wasn’t his fault, he wasn’t the one shooting at them, he wasn’t the one to break whatever, he was not the one to open a stupid portal, and so it wasn’t his fault!

So why is he now like, five years old, and why is the speeder crashed in some sort of corn field. Why is everyone- except for Jazz whose now like six- also like three at most?! And- oh fuck the door just opened and… okay that’s a kid. Like, nine at most.

A kid and an adult, who he hadn’t noticed at first so again, it’s not his fault if he hissed at them and tried to hide his not-siblings behind him. It’s also not fair they’re apparently stuck to ghost speak for who knows how long, but at least they can understand the people.

“Martha, get some blankets, it’s happened again!”

non solo le romcom nel solco della fantasia assolutamente genderizzata di sposare un principe sono interessanti da un punto di vista antropologico, sociale, economico e politico, ma aggiungerei anche che solitamente le monarchie rappresentate nella cornice narrativa di questi film sono molto probabilmente degli stati canaglia i cui prodotti tipici sono chiaramente l’evasione fiscale e la violazione dei princìpi dello stato di diritto. ma dato che il pov è quello della umile ragazza innamorata del suo principe (e noi insieme a lei, in quanto nostra proiezione in questo genere di film), anche una monarchia de facto assoluta che considera la democrazia un orpello ci viene proposta come buona e illuminata. urge indagine ulteriore su come questo genere di prodotto concorra alla causa conservatrice tardo-capitalista finalizzata a promuovere fascinazione verso disparità e privilegio di classe (nobiliare), mascherandosi da innocua pellicola romantica

I am constantly just absolutely RABIDLY desperate to know how modern worship of the Greek pantheon is treated by civilians of the DC universe

The Amazons exist! The Greek Gods are demonstrably, obviously, provably REAL - there are multiple saviors and protectors of humanity sanctioned and gifted their powers by Zeus and Athena and Poseidon themselves WHY DO WE NOT SEE TEMPLES BEING BUILT TO THEM???

Do you have any fucking clue how many weird little girls are praying to Diana/Artemis to save them from romance and let them join her hunters right fucking now in our real ass world?! Cause it's a lot of em! Hell, I used to BE one of em before I learned I was a gay man! GIVE ME THE LEGAL RAMIFICATIONS OF ARTEMIS 'KIDNAPPING' A FOURTEEN YEAR OLD

My parents used to be reconstructionist roman neo-pagans! We have a statue of Janus next to our front door! I personally know a them that has family who still hold annual rites for Adonis and Aphrodite! These are small but still vibrantly alive religions even in our world where the Gods sit as crumbling statues, so why don't we see more in this world where they're so active?

Do people view them as fakes? Are they assumed to just be older versions of Superman and Aquaman? Does their physical reality convince people that they are without spiritual divinity? Are we not seeing the flourishing worship of these Gods simply due to our own culture being so Christian-centric that they've forgotten to even imagine how this would impact their world?
