mfw I realized abed genuinely thinks he’s never been messed with before troy messes with him in 1x05, even though anyone who can remotely relate to abed socially can confidently say that there’s No Way he’s never been messed with before, and he probably just never realized it was happening (because god knows that shit has happened to me and probably many of you before) and troy was the only one to ever clarify that he was just messing around, because while everyone before was doing it to get a cheap laugh, troy was doing it as a genuine attempt to show that he values their friendship, because in his experience that’s how friendships are forged and that is an acceptable way to bond with someone, but abed never had that experience, and their whole arc in that episode is a product of their vastly different grade school experiences and it makes for major miscommunications in how their friendship should be from here on out and and and and

i really love the idea that Solas and Lavellan had sex in DAI because it adds a other layer of regret and yearning and self loathing to Solas's character arc and makes it just one more thing he feels he needs to be redeemed for, and adds more depth and nuance to their relationship. he also just seems like the type to fully commit emotionally to someone when he's physically intimate with them and I've never been a big fan of the idea that UST needs to (or even can) be dragged out for years to be romantic. like after a certain amount of time it's not sexy anymore. most adults who have been in sexual relationships understand that sex makes your relationship deeper, it doesn't ruin anything unless the relationship was illusory in the first place, and having sex with/ physically bonding to your literal soulmate and then not getting to touch them for years causes a lot more yearning than any mental fantasy ever could.

Comment résister au fascisme (et au capitalisme)

Un petit post en français pour une fois.

Nombre d'entre nous sommes effarés par la montée globale du fascisme dans le monde. L'Europe est loin d'être épargnée et ce qui vient de se passer aux USA et en Allemagne dans la foulée est extrêmement anxiogène.

On peut se sentir perdu et découragé. Je sais que ce sont des sentiments très fort chez moi en tout cas. Et j'ai très très peur pour 2027.

Ce qui me fait du bien, c'est d'être un peu pro-active et d'apprendre, chercher des stratégies. Si d'autres personnes francophones sont dans la même situation que moi, j'ai deux ouvrages à vous conseiller (chassez la bibliothécaire et elle revient au galop) :

Résister de Salomé Saqué

Des électeurs ordinaires: Enquête sur la normalisation de l'extrême droite de Félicien Faury

Les deux ouvrages sont disponibles dans toutes les bonnes librairies et dans de nombreuses bibliothèques.

Résister est à 4€ en epub et le Félicien Faury se trouve dans quasiment toutes les bibliothèques, y compris la Bibliothèque numérique de Paris qui est accessible avec un abonnement gratuit)

Un autre ouvrage que j'aimerais beaucoup lire pour avoir un éclairage historique et qui est souvent cité dans les bibliographies que je consulte est : Manuel du résistant : guide pratique à l'usage du maquis en territoire occupé de Stephen Hart & Chris Mann, mais il est très difficile à trouver car épuisé et peu présent en bibliothèque (si vous l'avez, contactez moi !)
