The Angelfish Cluster, M71 // Tom Wildoner

A globular cluster located about 13,000 light years away, M71 is a relatively "young" globular cluster at only about 9 billion years old. Its young age caused astronomers to believe for decades that this was a densely-packed open cluster like M11 rather than a loosely-packed globular cluster.

M71 was not observed by Messier, but instead by his collaborator and friend Pierre Méchain (1744-1804) in 1780, although the astronomer Jean-Philippe Loys de Chéseaux (1718-1751) found it first in 1746.

Let's look at more of the Philippines' 155 mm caliber M-71 Howitzers, these ones by the 4th Marine Brigade of the Philippine Marine Corps (PMC) when they conducted at Live-Fire Exercise in Ilocos Norte recently. The Event was attended by the Vice Governor of that Province, Cecilia Araneta Marcos.

I think that these M-71s of the PMC look a little more Bad A** with their Digital Camouflage than those of the Philippine Army (PA), just my Opinion.

I [M90] live in a monastery. Somehow I managed to convince all the other monks [M28, M34, M66, M71, M30, M55, M42, M77, M59, M48] to prank a newbie [M37] and tell him our tonsures are “the iconic monk pattern baldness,” and now he’s horribly insecure that he doesn’t have one. It was funny for a bit but now we are a bit tired of having to be sneaky about shaving so I’m thinking about coming clean. AITA?

For a smidgen of context before we begin, I (c39) run a fairly successful guppy ranch in the midwest. My brother (m71), has stayed in good contact with me and my daughters over the years and visits with us every October for the "world-famous scary meal festival" we host each year. The trouble arose a few days ago, when I realized that the family cup was GONE. Nobody in the world would have taken it except him (when I was a kid he would always jeer at me and try to trick me into giving it away, but I was much too clever, ha ha).

After I realized it was missing I packed all of my daughters into the family jaloppey and drove over to his house to get it back, but he threatened to open the screen door and let all of his puppydougs rush out to attack me if I took one step on his property. As I'm writing this, we're sitting in the car outside his house and I'm at a loss for what to do. I ***NEED*** the family cup back, but I would prefer not to let a swarm of vicious puppydougs maul my beautiful daughters, tear them to smithereens, etc.

Any advice would be much appreciated, thank you in advance!

Just a look at the only other 155 mm caliber Howitzer that the Philippine Army (PA) is using right now, the M-71. These are made by the same Israeli Manufacturer of the Autonomous Truck Mounted-howitzer System (ATMOS), “Elbit Systems Limited”.

These have been largely overshadowed by the ATMOS in recent Years, for obvious Reasons. The PA should find a Way to upgrade these somehow, like add in an Electronic Fire Control System or something.

The Units in the Pictures belong to the Alpha “Puncher” Battery of 7th Field Artillery (Steel Rain) Battalion of the Army Artillery Regiment of the PA during their Unit and Individual Certification for the Year 2024 recently.

The Most Hated Person In Nalii'an History...

William Berthul, he was a 20 year old German explorer who "discovered" Naliiaa and built there with is crew. After almost a year The crew ended up asking the Nalii if they Could cut down some trees for land, obviously the Nalii said no, William and his crew where very angered at the response and burnt down half of Naliian forest land, the spirits rebelled by drawing as guard separating the burnt land and the Germans from naliiaa and the Nalii'ans. This greatly diminished spirit in the German occupied area (soon to be known as leeria) causing mass deaths and plagues leading to a multitude of consequences for the Germans even over a hundred years later.

The Revenge

When William was 58 he was assassinated by Notoen spys on 15 September 1881 who where fighting for the Nalii'an side. Iikak'uut'sainaa is the celebration of Williams death, it traditions range from a traditional bonfire to drinking alcohol, it's incredibly joyous and lively and is seen as the first sign of libation by the Nalii. Around this time Nalii'ans declared themselves free giving birth to a flag and name, Naliiaa (view flag in picture section below)

Brief Of The Notoens

The Notoens are the people of Nata or midlands these used to be burned land full of hated and evil, that was then taken back by Leerian escapees (German area) who fought back against the evil and fought for the Nalii assassinating the oppresser. (More on them soon)

Even though Nalii culture is very adamant on forgiveness is not expected or even okay to forgive someone who took and burnt your land, stole your people, killed you off, and more. such wide spread hate and death is not to be forgiven or forgotten.

Although the actual gun was destroyed in 2019 a replica was made, the assailants used a M71/84 German Mauser. It had unique decorations: "nata" carved on the stock, a carved line painted with yellow paint on the upper stock, lines of colour painted on the main body.
